  1. Stokbon: Noble District

img "Ah Stokbon... how little you progress. Stock forever in your own depressing rut. Leaving Ner chan behind was a good idea. It is good for me to do this alone, the noble can be a real knob to deal with according to Eye chan. Oh she does tear up over that doesn't she? Poor girl has no humor." A small girl said quietly. She was either a child or a Faerin, waited patiently in a strange chair with several attachments built into it. A carriage made it's way down the street ahead of her before she slowly crossed the street and continued on her way to her destination. The girl had come to speak with a very particular noble on Vermillion's behalf. The noble in question? A eccentric man who was known to give away prism shards on occasion here in the capital city. The handicap girl was taking the time to take in the sights though. She was not a native here after all. She wanted to get something out of her stay on occasion. Remember things the way they are and remember why it is all so distressingly wrong. 'That one' was right. All the same.

Terrasphere was no different than the mess that was the real world. Everyone was still lost in their own heads and stumbling over themselves for one reason or another. They all wanted the best for themselves and others, but had no idea how to truly get it. She looked at a noble couple give her a odd look. then laugh and walk away. Of course they would look down upon those who they felt lesser. Life... such a beautiful mess. Tensai began to roll a sphere like object that was inlaid into the chairs right arm. A screen appeared before her much like the games UI and it showed a map of the city. Yes, Eye chan was right on the money. The nobleman had a very effective magical jammer in place around his estate. To keep out astral thieves no doubt. It was why she had decided to do this with diplomacy. No need to go cause a big hullabaloo.... Xsune's appearance and demeanor was also perfect for this. Most of Vermillion XIII were not very suave. Tensai preferred to let others deal with things but this was a rare time she decided to handle things personally.

After all, she may encounter another player or something. People who actively are trying to live out their fantasies. Fantasy was better than reality indeed. If only to a small degree....

  2. It was only recently that nobles started to rely on her at times to help with their health, and the Yladian was more than a little happy about it. As her green hair swayed behind her, she felt herself staying calm just by holding the hilt of her sheathed sword, ignoring the stares it often got her for her rather unusual disposition.

For Solaria, her sword was a part of her. Fiddling with her sword was like twiddling her thumbs- it was a fidget tactic she found helpful when dealing with somewhat troublesome people. That day, she had plans to help set a bone that had been unset by a nobleman's clumsiness.

She'd been glad to finish the previous request mostly untouched by anxiety, but her next 'client' was someone who was rather rough with her last time she visited them. It was nice being able to fulfill her future goals and get practice in bedside manner, but the number of 'patients' she had was getting a bit overwhelming. "I swear, some of these people hurt themselves on purpose..."

As she let out a groan at the realization she might be on to something, she noticed a noble couple giving a weird glare to a girl whom, even without the wheelchair, appeared quite small. Perhaps it was a child? The way the girl seemed to move on so easily was an inspiration, and it made the local nurse want to get some advice how to do the same.

"Excuse me, young lady!" She chimed, quick on her feet as she sped towards the stranger. "I noticed those people looked to want to give you a hard time, but you ignore them easily. I'm on my way to deal with someone who tends to give me trouble...Could I bother you for some advice on how to ignore it in the moment? I can't be fidgeting while I'm setting bones, after all."

Solaria felt pretty proud of her introduction that didn't really act as one at all. Either way, she got something out of this. After all, it was as good a reason as any to talk to a cute young girl, wasn't it?

  3. img Oh as if on cue! Tensai stopped her chair and greeted the Yladian. The girl had a friendly demeanor on, not like the others in this part of the city. A Yladian just openly wandering around a city that was at war not too long ago with that very race. How quickly things think they are fixed and then fall apart all over again. Even in fantasy.

"A noble? Ha! I am heading for one also. How nice to see a friendly Yladian. You would think they had leafed the area by now."

Tensai smiled and folded her hands in her lap. Her eyes locked on the girl in a rather intense but non antagonistic way. The girl was....not very important Tensai estimated as she listened. However anyone might have made a friend somewhere... like that group that assembled in Astorea. They were really making themselves at home here. Shows how failed the 'real world' was. Perhaps a few seconds of precious time could be taken on her. Already she had made herself some time to look around and not rush. Tensai despised being late for anything. Punctuality was important. She would get this matter finished and move on... so that she could probably be ready for her appointment.

"Ignore? I would not say I am so rude. They are ignorant and inconsequential. What they think changes nothing, money and station or not. It's just a cripple. So I ner them out. Ha, I suppose I do ignore by most definitions."

She gestured to her frail body to send home her point if her odd way of speaking might be confusing the girl. Few appreciated her chosen style of speech. It was important to keep herself sane however. Otherwise her own brain might go stale from the all of life's flaws. She laid a hand onto the sphere in the chair arm, and she leaned her other elbow on another to support her head. Tensai did hope this was all she had to do. She had no real reason to continue chatting with this random individual.

"That's really all there is to it."

The girl smiled again and raised her head off her hand. Clasping them together with a smile as she leaned forward some and just stared with that intense analyzing gaze.. .

"I do hope that was enriching for you? By the by, I don't like not knowing one's name? I am Xsune. Allow me to branch out a handshake to you? Greetings, salutations and all that."

Tensai reached out her hand, whether or not the Yladian responded in kind, Tensai would nod and sit for about five seconds to give her time to finish anything else she had to say. Then the chair ridden girl would pull back and prepare to leave.

  4. The girl's first description was a bit surprising. Was it rare to find a Yladian that was friendly? Sure, Solaria knew about the war- but she mostly knew about the exodus of the Yladian village that Mycolossus, having joined in within her first week of playing.

Then again, did this girl know her world was a game? Or was she another player as well? "Some of us can be pretty nice, yes. There are all sorts of nice people, no matter what their species. At least, that's what I've come to find." It was the same for NPCs, wasn't it? Some were mean, sure- but she'd met some that were actually quite comfortable with 'adventurers' as the players were known!

"It's not rude to ignore rude people. If anything, I think that's being quite polite! It's better than starting a fight, don't you think?" Her lips remained easily pulled upwards, the thought quite clear in her mind. For someone who was naturally impulsive and pushed into things she shouldn't, this girl was a miracle to behold- and hopefully she could learn from her.

Of course, even Solaria found this woman's wording a bit unusual. But, was that really so bad? "Where abouts are you from, if I may? I find your speaking interesting. I'd love to learn more about it along with you in the future." As she was going to continue and ask more about the girl, however, a child tripped nearby, catching her attention. She took only a moment to heal them, but that moment had distracted her easily. As she returned, she held herself high with a nervous laugh.

"Sorry, I just can't help helping someone when I see them get hurt. So you're Xsune...? I'm Solaria. It's nice to meet you. Your name is really nice. It's elegant and it suits you that way. A pretty name is always good for a pretty girl, don't you think?" Even if most babies weren't nearly as cute as their names, she always felt that it was amazing when a name fit so well. "You said you're going to a noble's house, correct? If it happens to be somewhere near the Deering estate, I'd love to escort you up to that point."

  5. img Xsune stopped her chair and looked to Solaria with a slightly less interested look than before but still remaining civil and tolerant. Dealing with people, even those who like to drone on, was one of her tasks in both worlds it seemed.

"Very nice of you to say. My method of wording is a habit that I developed to manage stress. No need to put your sol into it."

She stared unblinking for a moment at the girl as Solaria then asked if she could come along for the walk, or in Xsune's case, ride. Nothing particularly wrong with the company. It just was obvious this girl lacked any sort of understanding how meager her efforts to help anybody was. Xsune nodded and gestured in the direction she was heading.

"I don't see why not? Solaria chan, you are a endeering girl. "

Xsune's mobile chair began to move again up the street. Her attention became taken up by something else for a few moments during the walk. As she almost seemed to be lost in her own head. Her hand shifting a sphere in her chair's arm. After the moment passed she spoke a lot lower. More directly to Solaria.

"Wanting to help people is good. Not many care to fix the Terra. Ha! Why fix what keeps Falderen apart?"

She shrugged a little and shifted her gaze from the path to the Yladian for a second.

"So how do you elven Terrasphere? Is it a Astorean time? Is it perfect for you? If not... what would you change? What is perfect for you, Solaria chan?"

  6. It was somehow soothing to the woman as she listened to her companion explain her speech. So it was a coping skill...As a future nurse, knowing just a different way of speaking could help someone with stress was really good to know. Her inner urge to hug someone in moments like this was strong, but she avoided it, prancing alongside the unusually nifty wheelchair. The orb on it's arm was intriguing to her, and she seemed to stare at it until Xsune spoke.

"Perfect...? I wouldn't say there's such thing. In a perfect world, my family wouldn't have ever felt loss. No one would be in pain in what we usually consider perfect...But you know, I think pain is pretty important, too. It's because I went through loss that I learned that it's okay not to plan, but to focus on the present. I got a goal to help people in the moments that are harder...I grew."

Giggling a bit, she ran ahead and spun to smile to her new friend. Xsune was so calm and quiet- she listened to Solaria's rambling without making complaints, even if she even had noted she was stressed in the beginning. It was hard not to spill her guts out further, but she knew better, at least a little.

"But even if it's not perfect...I hope that Astorea and Falderen will begin to get along. I don't mind if it's not perfect...But for more people to smile, I'll do what I can. You know what I mean?"

  7. img As they headed closer to their destination. Solaria talked about her opinions of perfection. Ah, how often Tensai has heard this topic. Surely she will say... yes that's right and... of course. Tensai made no comment nor showed any display of emotion towards the girl's words. Then she ran ahead of her and was smiling like she had made a new best friend. Nothing wrong with being deluded, that was how the universe operated. Delusion, such a all encompassing word when you think about it.

"Ha! Yes. It is good to want to help out and place the seeds of hope. Accomplish enough to make yourself feel... hmm..."

Tensai stopped. It would seem they were here.

"This is where I must split away from you. Perhaps someday we will pollen again. I felt quite uprosen from this talk.... Sol long!"

Xsune would offer a small wave as she moved up to the street towards the gates of the estate. The girl was such a innocent. Xsune had to do her part to keep such deluded souls from never finding perfection. They deserved it in the end.
