According to Astor's message, there were people who seemed to be in quite urgent need of a rescue. Or, maybe she shouldn't assume. Maybe the expedition party was fine, and just got distracted by whatever new and shiny things were over on the other side of the mountain range. Or maybe she should stop kidding herself every time something like this happened.

So! Missing people, including a princess. And the only way through the mountain was being guarded by... sea raiders? Well, that wasn't confusing at all. Ash hadn't heard of the Aesir much, though she had spotted a player or two toting around the armband that was apparently a symbol of the group.

It appeared that some of the other groups who were looking to head out on this quest had decided to force their way through, and there were people who were looking to sneak past the guards. Neither of those two options appealed to her all that much. She would much rather try negotiating with the group of raiders that she barely had any idea existed.

...And yeah, it did sound a bit dumb when she put it that way. But there didn't appear to be any other way. And who knew, maybe the Aesir were really friendly?

Oh, right, no more kidding herself.

At any rate, she brushed up on a bit of seafaring and marine knowledge before setting out, hoping to make a good impression. One thing she found was that sailors considered cats to be symbols of good luck. And well, lions were a sort of cat, right? Naixi didn't seem pleased about the mountainous environment, but maybe having a giant cat with her would make the Aesir think better of her? It couldn't hurt, could it? (Yes, bringing a giant lion to what was ostensibly a friendly negotiation could definitely hurt.)

Ash was lucky to have found some others who were also going for a more diplomatic approach. After meeting with her partners for this quest and making they necessary introductions, they set off for one of the many passages guarded by the Aesir.

This one looked to be guarded by a pair: a man and a woman. Both were equally large and muscular, and both were carrying a matching set of sharp scimitars. And, they had around their upper arms the distinctive armband that marked them as one of the Aesir. Well, time to put that seafaring knowledge to good use.

  2. The situation seemed very urgent when Aden and his party received the quest from Astor. From what little detail the young king had provided the adventurers, it had seemed that an expedition involving the Guild had gone missing in an area east of Astorea and North of Falderen. What's more, the Third Princess of Falderen, Princess Pyrna was among those that have been reported missing. She seems important enough for the reclusive nation of Falderen to offer a temporary truce and a hefty deal Astorea were to assist in this mission by sending adventurers to this area.

However, that's easier said than done due to a number of factors. First of all, while there are multiple entry points that would allow the various divided groups of adventurers to go through the mountain, all of these seem to have been guarded by the Aesir, a bunch of ragtag, yet highly trained and well-armed sea-raiders that have barred passage through the mountain.

In order to get past them, the different groups of adventurers thought to implore different methods in their respective entry points. Some thought that forcing their way through would bear the fastest results. Of course, in a situation like this, time is of the essence specially when you have a very large area to scour. The expedition team and the princess could be anywhere in this uncharted land, and with not even a single clue regarding their current status, their odds of survival increase the quicker the hastily assembled rescue teams could reach them.

However, as mentioned before, the Aesir are not to be trifled with, thus any group that faces them in combat would have a difficult time fighting them. In order to get past them, these adventurers need to be highly proficient in combat, as well as cautious in their actions. One wrong move could turn them from an asset into a liability. Then they're gone be needing rescue as well, provided the pirates don't finish them off.

Others were apparently going to resort to sneaking past the guards to get through the mountain. It was a path of non-violence, and sneaking attracts the least attention among all the available methods available for the adventurers to use. While one needs to be careful of possible detection, if one were to successfully pull it off, they would save themselves the trouble of fighting the Aesir, making this choice relatively the most viable in terms of saving time. Emphasis on the if, of course. Should their position be compromised, the Aesir wouldbe highly suspicious of the group, preventing any attempts of resolving things peacefully and probably even forcing a fight between the two groups. Such an outcome would be disastrous for a group not proficient enough in combat.

That leaves the Social approach, which this group seems to be keen on taking. From what he had gathered, most, if not all his teammates have some means of contributing towards a peaceful resolution with the Aesirs... except for him. While it is true that he would have been much more useful joining the Stealth or Brute teams, the idea of fighting his way through the sea-raiders didn't sit well with him, specially since he is still relatively new to the game. He didn't want to become a liability in such a crucial mission so he declined offers of joining the combat-minded groups. The same goes for the Stealth groups. He wasn't confident at his sneaking skills yet and in a situation that demanded every bit of skill to successfully pull off, the read haired archer didn't want to be a burden to the other more stealthily-inclined members of the party. Other than that, he chose the Social approach out of personal preference, despite knowing he'll contribute little to none at the negotiation proper.

After making the necessary introductions, and checking whether or not they've brought enough supplies and equipment for a round trip, the group ventured towards one of many passages barred by the Aesir.

Upon reaching their particular entry point, the group noticed the path being guarded by two Aesir, a man and a woman, both of whom were brandishing a pair of sharp, matching scimitars. One would also notice the proof of their involvement with the sea-raiders, a distinctive armband that had the markings of the pirate group.

Apparently, the Aesir duo also took notice of the group and warily began their advance towards them. Stopping a hundred feet from the group, they readied their weapons and assumed a fighting stance, although they didn't seem to be in any hurry to attack them... yet.

"Halt! Dat's clows enuff ye scaliwags! State yer bizness hir or face the wrath of the mytee Bonar Blackwater!" The male Aesir said in a barely intelligible transition of the common tongue.

"Ugh... drop the pirate accent Bonar. We may be sea-raiders but we don't need to talk like one. Why I bet these folk didn't even have a clue what you said." The female retorted after an exasperated sigh.

"Godsdamit, woman, you ruined the mood! I could see the terror in their faces when I began talking to them like that! Like, I could have sworn one of them looked like they were about to soil his armor. All of that build-up gone! All my efforts wasted! Why did the Cap'n even pair me up with you, Bonny?" Bonar complained.

"Because I'm the only one that can tolerate your behavior, ya scabby sea bass.... Shit, now look what you made me say! Guh!" Feeling ashamed after chastising her partner but ending up following in his footsteps, the female Aesir, named Bonny looked to the ground in dismay, before eyeing the group once again.

"How about you lot? Are you lost or something? This passage is off limits by Aesir law. State your business now or head back where ya came from. Make any funny moves and me and this scurvy dog over here are gonna make a lot of trouble for you." The female sea raider threatened.

The moment the pirates started asking their questions, Aden knew that the negotiations have begun. Seeing as he had no way of contributing to the bargaining table, Aden decided to let the others handle the talking, all the while keenly observing the Aesirs' movements in case negotiations went south.

  3. How did Roland get into these messes? He didn't care about the politics of Astorea not since it resulted in him literally losing his head. The thought of the battle still caused a surge of anger to fill him, as he quickly was reminded of his helplessness. It took a long draft from his warmed flask to break his thoughts off of the event. Refocusing he tried to take a full account of his predicament.

He had been sent off, somewhere in the mountains, by that lazy Astor, to do something or another of which he honestly forgot, he had mostly scanned through Astor's message before the local group finding tool began to blink in reaction. Without much second thought, he agreed to a group with the first two people he saw, stating he knew a fourth that would round them out pretty well. Of course, he had no idea what the other two were even capable of, he thought he had seen @Ashiore Evretto briefly at Dormont before the siege, but he may have been mistaken. No, he just knew he wanted a decent healer, and if one of them turned out to be one a second would be all the same. So he sent a raven to @Temperance practically copying and pasting the message Astor had sent him onto a parchment before adding, 'Could use your help with this -Roland' followed by directions to their meeting point.

He had no idea if she would get the letter, but it was worth a shot. Little did he know that Temperance would never receive the note due to him addressing it to a player character with the same name. Thus, after her not showing up for their meeting Roland quickly glanced through his recent grouping and messaged the first player he saw online, @Beretta. It would be last second notice; he hoped she could show up.

Either way, here they stood at one of the various mountain crossings stopped by what seemed to be a couple of pirates. In fact after their prolonged back and forth they looked like an old married couple. Thier arguing was giving Roland a hangover, so once they finally tapered off he spoke up, "Look." he said bluntly, "I know you don't want us coming and putting our nose in your affairs, but you need to look at this situation a little bit more clearly. We are a new nation, very soon we are going to need trade routes, and pathways to other areas established. It would be very profitable for you to make an accord with us very soon here." Roland paused for a moment before nonchalantly adding, "After all its not like you are going to be able to stop us otherwise."

  4. imgA message from a man Beretta only knew through random passing had arrived in her inbox earlier today. Being thorough enough to always check it in short order, she saw that a quest for Astorea was once again at hand. It would seem that everything so far revolved around Falderen and Astorea. Was this important? No, most likely it was only due to the players wishing to focus on needs that benefited their new home here... actually, that was a interesting thought. No time to over think this at that moment. It was not a quick trip to the meet up location.

The case to be dealt with this time turned out to be a captured princess, rather typical, and the Falderen kingdom needed her rescued. There was little information on the actual cause of the disappearance. Just that the Aesir, a group of seafarers named after Norse mythology that were not allowing anyone to cross into their lands. The likely hood of them being the culprits? Probable but not enough evidence was available yet...

Beretta reached the rendezvous point and joined Roland and two others. A woman name Ashiore and a male, Alden. She had little information on either of these two. Being with them for a short time would hopefully change that. Introducing herself and making sure everyone agreed to the approach they would take was her first priority. Afterward they were off for the mountains.

Eventually and without much interference, the group reached a area blocked by a group of rough individuals. After only a few words Roland had begun to negotiate with them. Beretta simply folded her arms and waited to see their response. What he said was along the lines of let us through because you have no other choice... these people were not the kind to take that tone lightly..

"If that offer sounds unappealing to you. Perhaps we can help you in the future with any problems you may have, if you let us through? We are capable of dealing with many issues you may not have the means to in such a isolated region. Monsters, cults, helping with transferring goods.... and so on. We simply need to have access to this region. Your people are not at any risk."

She said without much showing if she was lying or not. Beretta was truthful even if she herself would not be involved in any future dealings with them and regardless of whether they were truly at risk or not. They were game characters and her objective was to shut this all down more than likely anyway. We scratch your back if you scratch ours was much more diplomatic and understood by these kinds of people than just telling them to deal with it....

  5. Uh. Now, Ash wasn't a diplomat but vague implied threats were probably not the key to a successful negotiation! She gave @Roland Rutledge an alarmed look as he finished speaking. Fortunately, @Beretta stepped in with a more reasonable offer for the pirates.

Ash nodded, adding, "We don't really have an interest in what you're doing here. Your business is your business. All we want to do for now is get through the mountain range."

Hopefully the pirates--Bonny and Bonar? Well, there were worse names. Not that many, but there were worse--would agree to get them an audience with someone else. It was pretty obvious that the two weren't high up in the Aesir hierarchy. The pair of them wouldn't have the authority to accept or decline any deals that their group offered.

    Sure enough...

Bonar scratched at his head, idly twirling his scimitar. "Dunno, favor for a favor sounds nice..." He looked to his partner. "But if we let 'em through the boss ain't gonna be happy."

Ooh. Sounded like a lead. Ash jumped in, "How about you take us to meet your boss? We'll talk it over with your leader, and if he or she agrees, then we can pass through and everything's fine. And if not, then we'll just leave. Sailor's honor."

Well, no, they probably weren't going to just turn back and abandon the missing exploration team. But a little lie or two here wasn't going to hurt anyone in the long run. Beretta at least seemed very persuasive, Ash was sure that they wouldn't have any trouble convincing one of the higher-ranked Aesirs to let them through.

She looked back at @Aden and the others, letting them add anything if they felt it appropriate.

  6. When Roland started "negotiating" with the pirates, Aden almost regretted letting his teammates speak. He was unsure just how rude the pirates perceived the warriors words towards them. Has he really set his heart to a civilized confrontation with the Aesir. If so, idle threats like that were more often than not, treated as a liability, specially in delicate situations like this. Even if the numbers were in their party's favor, the abilities of these pirates are largely unknown to everyone. Even the slightest difference in strength could spell trouble for the entire team and jeopardize the mission should these exchange of words turn into a clash of arms.

Fortunately, Beretta was quick to intervene, overturning what Roland had said with a fair offer in the form of assistance and other services for whatever matter troubles the Aesir. Such an offer, while vague, should be enticing enough for the pirates to consider. After all, matters such as monster hunting can become dangerous, thus the term "Better them than us" could be applied in situations wherein a powerful monster could potentially thin their numbers. Still, due to the vague nature of the offer, certain loopholes can be derived. One such loophole is that the adventurers present need not necessarily be the ones to aid the pirates. On the other hand, they could just throw honor out of the window by not keeping faith with the agreement altogether.

Lastly, Ashiore emphasized that interfering with the Aesir's business wasn't their purpose when they came to this mountain range, going so far as to convince the two underlings to bring them to their leader in order to legitimize and fortify negotiations. After all, they couldn't very well expect mere underlings to make decisions of importance since the Aesir duo probably knew the significance of their organizations internal hierarchy. Violating the natural flow of things by letting the party of adventurers pass without notifying their superiors would certainly land them in a heap of trouble.

"How about we make it official, eh? I declare Parley. We'll discuss this matter peacefully with any of your superiors, then one way or another, we'll be on our merry way. Emphasis on peacefully. No need for violence or what not, right fellas? We're all civilized people here, right? " Aden added lastly in hopes of finally sealing the deal with the pirates and making them give in to their demands. He didn't know how much his intervention would help since he only blurted out Parley when he remembered watching a certain pirate movie. For all he knew, parley in this world meant an enitrely different thing

With a sigh, the female pirate named Bonny lowered her scimitar and strapped it once again to her back.

"Aye, we may be sea raiders, but we don't like to spill unnecessary blood. It is the treasure and the booty we enjoy, not the killing." she conceded in a tired voice, prompting her partner to look at her as if she had instigated a mutiny all of a sudden.

"We're taking them to the Cap'n? Woman, we don't even know who these landlubbers are! The old man would make us walk the plank for this... well our ships are nowhere in sight so he may just toss us down the mountain instead."

"Who the fuck cares who these people are? If they were enemies, they would have attacked us from the beginning instead of trying to talk to us. That takes a lot of guts, and I admire people like that be they seafarer or landlubber. They've made pretty convincing statements and offers so far... plus the archer invoked Parley. Taking them to one of our superiors is the least we could do." insisted the female pirate.

"Tch... fine. We pretty much don't have a choice anyway. But I don't think the old man would take too kindly to this." Bonar said nervously. Whoever the captain is must be one that instills respect through fear in his ranks.

"Don't you think I know that ya knucklehead? I said one of our superiors. We won't be taking them to the captain but to the First Mate instead. At least he would try to listen to us first before deciding whether or not he would toss us down the mountain!" Bonny replied in outrage.

"Ahh, you should have said so from the beginning then! C'mon ya landdlubbers, We'll take you to the second-in-command." Pointing his scimitar to the group, he beckoned them to follow Bonny's lead.

The group was led to several winding tunnels that the pirates must have only excavated recently due to apparently poor and shoddy workmanship Aden has seen hinting that it was built in haste. Truth be told, it bothered him to be in these tunnels since it looked like the damn thing was ready to cave in on them at any minute so more than once Bonny had to chastise him getting ahead of her. Finally, the tunnel exited to a large room where a tall male pirate wearing an eye patch was supervising more pirates who were moving around all sorts of cargo and supplies.

"Ey, Boss, we found these sorry bunch of landlubbers outside one of the passes. Wants passage through the mountains and are willing to strike a deal of sorts in exchange. What are we gonna do with them?" Bonny asked the tall supervisor pirate.

"Oh? Before anything else, let me introduce myself. My name is Hector Silverbane, First Mate and Second-in-Command of the Aesir. Well then, outsiders. Before any bargain could be struck between us, humor my curiosity for a bit. You were willing to bargain with us in order to get through the other side of the mountain. It is known by all as an uncharted and treacherous land which inspires many a writer to pen fantasies of mysterious creatures and deadly monsters who may call this place home. No ordinary person would even dare to venture this far into the mountains themselves, so tell me, what is your purpose here?" Hector asked inquisitively.

Immediately Aden stepped forward and bowed his head before addressing the pirate's question.

"To tell you the truth, the four of us are a group of adventurers hired by a cartographer to map this unexplored region of the world. He believes that people are only afraid by what they don't understand and seeks to shed light on this mysterious region and spread knowledge on it to the world. For that reason, he had originally sent one of his daughters among an initial group of mercenaries and curious merchants to map these uncharted lands but they seem to have gone missing. Now, he sends us adventurers to continue where the first group had left off as well as find his daughter and any other survivors. That is our only purpose here." Aden said in a calm and collected voice while unwaveringly staring eye-to-eye with the First Mate.

Of course, his teammates would realize that what he said was a lie, but like any good lie, his explanation contained pieces and fragments of the truth. This would hopefully not only convince the Pirates of their intentions but provide an excuse why they are returning with a group of people once they find any survivors of the expedition.

  7. (Hey Aden can you keep the word count under 1k? You're killing me here)

The shocked and mildly annoyed glances Roland received for his approach to the situation told him volumes about their opinion. "What's their problem?" Roland wondered, "These are pirates, several of our men are chewing them as we speak. Violence and the threat of it are what they'd most likely respond to." Rather than voice his opinion out loud, however, he returned his lips to his flask tasting the warm liquid inside before opting not to drink it. Lately, the drinks didn't seem to give him the kick they once had, perhaps the fun with them had passed. He'd likely had dropped the habit altogether if it hadn't been so ingrained into him to take a sip every now and again. "I heard some people replace their flasks with piss to help them curb the desire; I wonder if I will have to do something like that."

Lost in thought, Roland missed most of what was said before him. His stern words had been replaced with offers of trade and promises of a lack of hostility. As far as Roland was concerned no one here could appropriate either of those things, which is why he had started with the blunt approach. After all, he had tried to honey'ed approach before, and again his flask touched his lips, the warm liquid tasting like piss. Roland spit the liquid out before sending his flask into his digital inventory. Eventually, the archer fellow mentioned something about a parely. Roland nearly barked a laugh at the request, "A parely? " He breathed, "They're pirates!" No one seemed to hear him, however, which was all the same as the tactic somehow managed to work.

Eventually, they were taken through a series of winding tunnels that lead them to who seemed at least somewhat in charge. Roland wasn't sure what a first mate was, but he figured who they needed to talk to was the Captain. That didn't stop the archer man from launching into a long speech regarding the reasoning behind why they were here, "Oh." Roland said, "Is that what Astor said huh?" With a smile he tucked his thumbs in his pocket, resisting the urge to drink more, "I can't wait to see what kind of foul mouth, evil creature, or army we are going to be seeing, then. Nothing like surprises."

The pirate seemed to blink not understanding Roland's comments, "Ah, it's hard to explain, but our leader Astor, likes to stick his nose into what seems like the worst things, and send us like ants to go clean up the mess. So I do not doubt that when you say it's terrible and awful, it's likely all those things." With a winning smile, he added, "But between you and me, when things start to go sideways, is usually the time they seem to start to get fun." The second in command gave a steady laugh in response, glancing at Roland with uncertainty and possibly fear. Roland just snorted in response muttering, "I thought these guys were supposed to be pirates" before returning to silence like before.

  8. img Thankfully it looked like Beretta's choice to interject her offer into the discussion was a good one. This was only furthered by the red haired man, Aden's words. This man made it clear very quickly that he was a capable diplomat. Beretta closed her eyes and smiled slightly. Not bad then... this might go without a unnecessary taking of lives.

The Aesir took the group to see one of their leaders. Hector, the first mate. Aden continued to use his powers of persuasion and not at all concerned about lying through his teeth Beretta noticed. This sort of thing was something she did so often it almost did not phase her anymore. After all, lying about one's job and identity was a everyday routine for the agent.

Beretta had little reason to add anything else. She saw Roland say a few things that again made it seem only to make the pirates view of them lessen.

    "Hmhm...."

Was all she added. Beretta was more invested in trying to plan out tactics for how to handle what might come next.

  9. Looked like things were actually going well. After that pretty awkward start to the negotiations, @Aden was doing great with the talking. So their story got a bit more embellished in his version of things, but that was probably okay. A little fibbing here and there wouldn't hurt very much, and besides, how likely was it that they were going to run into these exact same pirates again?

The First Mate appeared to be listening to them, too. @Roland Rutledge added a bit more--he seemed closer to King Astor as well? Which was good, unless this was yet another little lie to add on to the falsehood pile, in which case, what did one more matter?--and though @Beretta didn't contribute much more in this stage of the discussion, it was her offerings at first that allowed them deeper into the tunnels.

So, all in all, great! After a few pirates started giving Roland some nervous looks, Ash quietly chuckles. "Well, I don't know how piratey they are if they're holed up in a mountain," she said quietly back to him.

Naixi seemed to dislike the cramped environment in the tunnels. To be honest, so did Ash. So it was quite the relief when Hector let them through after some hemming and hawing. As they walked through the tunnels, they passed by groups of Aesir standing around, some working on things that Ash couldn't quite see from her angle. A few of them were staring at the motley group of outsiders, but they were largely ignored. Her lion did attract some leery glances.

Ash tried to make her curious staring a bit less overt. It would probably look a lot more suspicious. Still, she had to wonder what the heck the Aesir were doing here.

  10. A sigh of relief escaped Aden's lips when it seemed apparent that the First Mate, Hector, was convinced of their reasons behind passing through the mountain range. It seemed that despite some few kinks with how some of his allies gave their explanation to the pirates, Hector either accepted their reasoning or just didn't care enough to take offense with Roland's behavior nor pursue any further questions.

Beretta, on the other hand, chose not to add anything to the table, presumably finding what has been already said as sufficient. Still, Aden felt that it was thanks to her quick wit that they managed to initially convince the Aesir duo. Otherwise, they would have been left with no choice to fight the pirates if their only choice for negotiation was Roland's original intimidatory approach.

Ashiore, followed Beretta's example, though it was way more visible in her expression just how relieved she is than the mysterious, purple-haired girl. Heck, he could have sworn that she was exchanging awkward jokes with Roland just now, a sign that she thinks that the deal had gone through.

"Very well, that's all I need to know. You folk seem... trust worthy enough. A rare trait considering how many people seemed to take an interest in passing through these mountains. Some showed no restraint whatsoever and attacked a couple of my men. Others resorted to sneaking their way through like thieves in the night but were also dealt with accordingly. Only a handful of you have tried to reason with us for safe passage and it is... admirable to say the least for such a small group of people to willingly bargain with us despite how heavily outnumbered they may be." Hector told the group in a solemn voice as he led the team of Aesir that, in turn would escort the party out of the other side of the mountains.

"Now then, before we let you waltz out of our secret lair, there are a two things I need to ask of you. First and foremost, you must not speak of what you have seen here today. As far as you're concerned, this secret base of ours doesn't exist. Second, the captain lost a pendant when a freak blizzard occurred as we were exploring the other side. It has a lot of sentimental value since it was given by his... estranged daughter. Find the pendant and we will honor this agreement. Sailor's Honor." Hector declared.

"Very well, you have our word. The pendant shall be found. We thank you for your hospitality, Vice-Captain Silverbane." Said Aden courteously while giving a slight bow to the pirate.

"Heh, I'm just a first mate, boy. No need for formalities. Now get out of here you lot, before i change my mind!" The pirate said enthusiastically, obviously flattered by Aden's remarks.

After being granted passage through the mountains and leaving the immediate vicinity of the Aesir base, Aden turned to his allies and offered an enthusiastic smile of his own.

"Well, there goes the easy part. The hard part is locating where the princess and the expedition team could be in this vast, unexplored land. I would recommend against splitting up, specially in such foreign and uncharted territory. After all, we could easily lose our bearing in a place like this. Now, do any of you guys have any idea where to start looking for? In this snowy terrain, we can't very well look for wagon trails foot steps, or horse tracks since they would easily be covered up by the snow already." Aden mused.

  11. Roland let out a snort of boredom as the talks continued. Sure this was preferably over the bloody path, but this was simply not what he had expected from the naval gang. He had expected full-blown pirates, the kind that would slit your throat for spilling their rum. Rather these men seemed more like naval merchants than a group of scoundrels. Roland supposed this made more sense in the grand scheme of themes. If they were nothing but bandits and cutthroats they likely would have been culled from the waters. The group needed to be at least somewhat intelligent in their dealings or they wouldn't last, thus their current state. Still, it was disappointing to have the illusion shattered so thoroughly as the vice-captain handed them a fetch quest. Roland pondered quietly to himself if it was the red hair's man intention to follow through with the request, but Roland supposed it didn't matter. More than likely wherever they were headed was going to involve coming across that amulet, after all, thats how things worked.

Eventually, the group made their way out of the secret base heading towards the mountains, that would serve as their goal. Sighing a sigh of relief he turned to face Aden as he spoke up again asking for suggestions. Rather than respond Roland shrugged his shoulders in noncommitment as he scanned the nearby area. What exactly was Astor after here...

  12. img Hmmmmm.... it looked like it all went well. The pirates were a surprisingly agreaable bunch when you give them a offer for help. Aden was completely in charge of this mission and he was not slowly doen either. That was fine, but Beretta continued to wonder what the next course of action would be like? Where the pieces were leading? The pirates talked about a pendant they now needed to go find. A fetch quest then? Would it possibly lead to hints about the missing Falderen princess and her entourage? During their time here there was no sign of her even having visited this place.

As they headed for the mountains with the diplomatic aspect settled. Beretta felt a need to correct Aden's mistake, rare for the man from what she could tell, but still a mistake. According to the in game regional map. This region was not all that large. It was also surrounded by already explored or partially explored areas So, how difficult to finding this princess even at the least her corpse be? Her hunting abilities were not coming up with anything either.

"Aden, you did a good job with the Aesir. Your diplomatic skills were greatly appreciated. However I think we should be cognizant of this regions small size compared to it's neighbors and the complete lack of clues. There could be supernatural forces at play or other aspects of this that we have not yet seen or understood. I am concerned that we have heard nor seen nothing of Pyrna. What that means I don't have enough evidence to confirm... "
