    Attack on Honeyhome

One man spoke the loudest, @Cain Darlite, atop his rooftop perch, catching the attention of the giant hawk that soared towards him, swooping past and dragging it's claws down at him, before fluttering back into the air away from him, peering down at him, and squawking loudly.

As attacks pierced the air, arrows soared towards the bear. Keeping it's head low, the large creature growled through grit teeth, drool escaping it's maw in long strings. Wincing and taken back a moment by the onslaught of projectiles, the animal whimpered, as if loosing courage, before the same voice from earlier voice spoke out, carried by the wind. "My beautiful creature, do not hesitate. You are stronger than they are. Show them your power..."

In an instant, one of the boars erupted from the brush, each stomp of it's feet digging into the ground, sending chunks of dirt airborne in it's wake. With it's head low, it clamored up a staircase upon a nearby building, before leaping onto the one that @Kyupin Felnya stood upon. Not slowing it's momentum for a moment, the animal attacked with a swift headbutt, before leaping off of the rooftop, and scurrying back into the woods.

Upon the other side of the forest, the second boar had found it's own prey, peering upwards to find @Aria perched upon the branches of trees. With a swift charge, the beast bucked it's tough forehead into the bottom of the tree, causing it to rattle, and forcing the archer within it to plummet to the ground. The boar then promptly returned to it's previous location, within a safe, hidden brush deeper within the forest.

Meanwhile, the arrow that had been planted within the hide of the bear shot out, landing in random locations around the bear. Roots and other vegetation sprouted from these wounds, concealing them beneath dirt and other earthly creations. After a final, low growl of warning, the bear charged forwards, first swiping the frail looking @Curious George from her path, before rapidly approaching the archer @Aalam Abungu and the great-sword wielding @Indra. With a harsh slashing of claws towards each of them, it struck.

As the bear furiously charged forward, the young girl clung to her father, whose sore body weakly held her close. The boy near to them, peeking from behind the pillory, quivered in fear at the series of events. It was like a story from one of his nightmares, where beasts immersed from darkness to swallow up his village. The feeling of terror engulfed him.

Was it instinct? Or was it mere luck? Moments before the hawk swooped downwards, talons unsheathing to rake at Cain’s face, the midnight-haired muse’s left arm went up, taking the blow in a less important part than his chiselled chin. A flash of pain and the scarlet splash withered his voice temporarily, but as the hawk escaped up into the sky once more, the muse grit his teeth and sang even louder, in rebellion towards the malice of the beast tamer that refused to even show his face and fight alongside his beloved beasts.

That druidic avenger may find pleasure in playing the puppeteer, safely out of harm’s way, but as blood seeped into the white fabric of his clothing, the muse could only laugh, internally. The pain hurt, but it was a badge of honor. Proof that he was indeed a flagbearer, willing to bleed alongside his friends on the march towards victory. The flag, unmarred by ugliness of battle, continued to dance, streaming through the wind as a brilliant white banner. Power continued to radiate, his symphony overcoming the cacophony of combat as Cain took in a deep breath.

“My brave comrades! Each drop of blood shed will serve as the ink in which your legacy is written! Each scar formed will serve as a tattoo to remind you of past heroisms! Do not waver! Do not falter! Our path is righteous and our might absolute!”

The brilliantly blue petals blossomed even further, the empowerment increasing incrementally as his song sailed through the air.

“Continue The Onslaught And Save Her World!”

She swallowed, but it did nothing to ease the thick rage bubbling in her throat.

How dare he. How dare he! A man starting a war over his animals, you'd think would show such love to them. But he used them as pawns, as excuses to cause destruction. He did not love his companions. He did not care for them. He pulled their strings, tugging them along and forcing them to fight an unreasonable war even against their wills.

Kyupin wanted to cry out to them, to comfort and remind these poor animals that they did not have to submit to such a wretched heart. But before she could summon any words, one of the boars was upon her, slamming into her and running away in one swift motion. Kyupin crashed into the rooftop, her breath thoroughly knocked out of her. Vulcan whined and moved to chase the boar, but its momentum easily carried it away into the woods, out of sight.

By the time she managed to pick herself up, wincing at the battering her ribs had taken, the bear had knocked straight into three of the other adventurers. She did not want to harm the poor creature. But... there was no choice.

Just like them, she was a puppet to the mysterious tamer's game, playing along to his every whim. She whimpered as she lined up her shot. It hurt her soul to do this, to attack an unwilling participant, but if she did nothing, the villagers would be hurt. The fury swelling inside of her screamed for action, commanded her to put an end to everything. To tear apart the fool who thought he could do what he wished. She used the fury building in her gut, the powerful music thrumming in her ears, she used it all; and then pulled back her arrow.

Her target was right in front of her. The bear, it would hurt them. She knew that. So she shoved aside the doubt in her heart, the cries telling her it wasn't fair and that it had no choice.

    She let loose.

Alas, the doubts had swayed her aim. Her arrow still pierced the bear's thick hide, but it was hardly the devastating shot she had planned.

What a great hero she was.

When the bear struck him, it hurt.

Curious George had never suffered damage like this in game. A nibble from a snake. A tackle from a wolf. He had never experienced actual, real, heavy pain within the system. Yet to his surprise, getting hit with a bear’s swipe didn’t hurt nearly as much as he thought it would – maybe it was the system’s reduction of pain (likely), maybe it was how he got into fights when he was younger and his body was just used to the pain. Curious George ran his thumb against his mouth, not because there was any digital blood (yet) but out of habit.

He pushed himself up and started running. He didn’t have time to keep wondering about the system. Right now, a wild beast was heading towards a man and his daughter. Ready to tear them apart. He didn’t know if NPCs could revive or not, but he was unwilling to find out.

George grit his teeth and pumped his arms. His eyes scanned the area for something he could use. The only thing out in the open like this were his...wait

Curious George dropped his hands low and grabbed one of his traps off the ground. One of the ones the bear hadn’t stormed through. His hand ran down the fastener and gripped the chain tight. He ran to the side, clearing the distance as best he could, and built up a swing with the trap. When he didn’t think that was fast enough, Curious George pushed himself more, and finally with the force hit the ground on his knees. The skidding was painful, but it was just what he needed to hit the bear.

His bear trap sung through the air, mechanical jaws tight and ready to spring, and remained so until it hit the bear square in the face. It latched on without problem, but the bear hadn’t stopped yet and George was sent tumbling a few rolls before he let go of the chain. He came to a flailing stop, coughing from the rough treatment.

“Oi, bear!” George coughed and squinted at the traps around him. George got to his knees and reached around for two of his traps. When George stood up he held each trap in his hand and raised them like he was about to box a fool. “You want them? You gotta deal with me first.”

(Was unsure how much is too much, so if the trap to face thing is unokay I can change the location it hit. )

"The hell...?" Even with all three arrows stuck to its brown hide, the ursine beast lumbered forward, not losing its fury. In fact, the archers just seemed to make anger the bear further as it barreled through @Curious George then without even stopping, swiped at @Aalam Abungu and @Indra . To make matters worse, the instigator of this whole thing was somehow able to partially heal the bear's wounds. Where was that scumbag?! Even with her Felis eyes and ears, Aria couldn't spot even a single hair of him. What kind of magic did he possess? Whatever the case, these rabid creatures must be stopped!

Nocking another arrow, Aria took aim once more, "Tch-... whaaaa-?!" then suddenly, the tall tree she was perching on shook violently, raining down leaves down to the forest floor. Aria was so focused on the bear and confident in her cover, she didn't expect one of the boars to sniff her out. The vibrations sent by its twin tusks were too much for the Felis as the green-haired ranger fell to the ground, softened only by the gathered leaves. It still hurt

"Ow... fuck..." She groaned, quickly standing up in high alert, frantically aiming her bow in search for the hog assailant. "..." It went away... but nothing stopping the pig bastard from coming back and considering her cover had been blown, there was no reason to stay. (Moved to Zone 1)

    ---

Moments later, "Huff, huff!" @Cain Darlite would see the Felis Ranger retreating to his position as she leaped up, landing on the same rooftop as his. "Uh... what happened to your arm?" The girl blinked, what could possibly hurt him here of all places? "Oh right... that damned bird." However, through it all, he still enunciated his valorous song! (Buffed)

Sighing heavily, Aria took aim at the bear, which was now inching dangerously close to Farmer Cade and the children, "Kuh!" Gritting her teeth, the Felis put all in her power as she launched two arrows in quick succession. The twin projectiles struck the wounded bear true but... "It's still alive?!" Not much longer, however, it was bleeding all over the place.

    "It's almost down!" Aria shouted, "Finish it, @Indra , @Aalam Abungu !"

Aalam was starting to hate that voice he didn’t hate the bear when it charged at him. The beast was being manipulated by whoever was speaking in the darkness and if he had to kill either the animal or man to stop it, he would. Now when a large paw came swing at his chest tipped with razor-sharp claws, he might have started to be annoyed at the creature. The attack knocked him clear from his spot and sent him a few feet away rolling in the dirt. Those claws raked across his back, the feeling of its claws tearing through the skin on his back, this was one of those times that he regretted having his pain settings set to realistic. It made the game a better experience but by the Gods did it hurt. It was always painful, but with the fact that there was a giant bear in his face, there wasn’t any time to be slowed down by the wound.

Letting the momentum of the attack carry him a few more feet rolling to his feet winching slightly at the pain as he moved his shoulders, well it was time to get a bit of distance between what he was trying to kill and what was trying to kill him. Slinging his bow over his shoulder ignore as the wood made contact with his wound. The pain was temporary, but glory would be forever, a little chuckle escaped him at that thought, there was a malevolent voice controlling animals to kill him and because if the idiot on the roof he was worrying about being remembered as a hero. Running towards the house that @Kyupin Felnya was standing on top of he needed to get higher up if he was going to be able to make a better shot. Jumping towards the roof using one of the support beams to get a bit of extra height to make it, grabbing at the roof of the home pulling him up onto the roof.

In the time it took him to get up on the roof, it seemed the @Curious George had decided to go all out and risk everything in an attack the bear at point blank range. George had balls hopeful his offense would be enough to make a difference so that he wouldn’t end up dead. However, it looked like Aria had his back letting off an arrow into the creatures hide hopeful they would be finished, so it didn't end George. Aiming for the chest of the animal releasing the arrow hearing it whistles and slap into the bear with a well sounding thump.

"Damn it's still moving @Indra put it out of its misery."

Hands gripping tight on her great-sword’s handle, Indra was too slow to react to the feral bear’s sudden and chaotic approach. The animal pressed forward after hearing its master’s as if ignoring the pain and attacks received. It attacked the blond and lanky man, following by the archer, and then her turn came. Despite her attempt at blocking the beat’s attack, her efforts were in vain as the creature’s paw clashed against her weapon and the force behind was plenty enough to send her to the ground. The blonde grunted in response to the pain coursing through her body while she forced herself to stand up once more — it hurt, but it wasn’t over yet. She could still fight.

“Afezeria oz Manaf”, she chanted, using the manaprism she created on her previous spell to cast light magic on her weapon. As soon as the volley of attacks from the archers ceased and George finished his courageous attack, Indra advanced towards the bear, brandishing her sword up before attempting to crash it down on the animal to end its predicament. Unbeknownst to her, the manaprism she installed on her weapon was faulty to begin with due to improper chanting — she made a mistake under the pressure of the situation.

Before her sword could hit its target, the weapon descended with way more force than intended, forcing her to lose the balance on her arms and causing the attack to miss entirely and sticking the weapon with far too much force on the ground. Even though the illumancy magic on her attack could have caused some damage, her weapon was now stuck on the ground.

    Attack on Honeyhome

Before the bear could rise up and pounce upon @Curious George with all of it's beastly might, a trap clamped down hard on it's back leg, restraining it. Arrows and attacks from the rooftops on either side assaulted the bear, stuffing it's back with the projectiles like a porcupine. Finally, as a downward swing came from @Indra, the creature expected to meet its end.

Luckily for the bear, the attack had seemed to be a whiff! Staring up with bloodthirsty eyes, the bear retaliated.Tufts of hair across it's shape burst and splattered out with redness, it's eyes glowing an even darker crimson than before. The claws, previously rugged and sharp refined a new, more potent razor edge, as a paw swipe out at the swordswoman who had missed her blow, before charging towards the potent trapper.

Before it could reach it's prey to strike, the boars immersed from the forest once more. The first (Abby) leaped out from a bush, charging directly towards @Curious George, headbutting him in an attempt not only to damage him, but to knock him off balance, before the bear followed up with a downward claw swipe.

"He who speaks of misery..." The bear reared it's head towards a nearby rooftop containing @Aalam Abungu and @Kyupin Felnya, eyes glowing with madness and ferocity. "Teach him misery, my dear." The voice in the wind carried off into a low chuckle, as the bear galloped it's way over to the rooftop. Leaping up, the female bear could not manage to land herself upon the roof's surface, but she was able to land upon the edge, her front claws swiping out at the the two upon the rooftop.

The second boar (Bobby) charged across the battlefield, scampering upon the rooftops to arrive at @Aria, bucking low, before raising it's head to strike her with a harsh blow of his tusks. With a huff, the boar took a few steps backwards, maintaining it's position. It's eyes radiated with the same fury as the bear. Certainly, whoever resided within the houses thought that judgement day had come, as the racket of warfare sounded outside their windows and doors.

All the while, the hawk that hovered above the battlefield had waited long enough, swooping down to strike the farmer. The man, raising a hand to protect his daughter from the blow, felt the talons of the bird rake across his shoulder, before the creature landed meters in front of him, it's head low, tilting and twitching. Carefully, his arm writhing in agony, he still made as much of an attempt as he could to shield his daughter, the small boy next to him having no such comforts.

Blood. The blood was everywhere but here, scarlet ribbons pouring out of the bodies of his comrades as a reckless onslaught was survived, the barely standing bear letting out one last stand. A vicious flurry of blows caused everyone’s health bars to drop drastically, while a boar charged out from the foliage, catapulting towards Curious George. With a sickening crunch, it slammed into the gaunt man, almost killing him on the spot. 5 HP left. More or less imaginary pixels of health for a man whose body laid broken and beaten, a crimson pool forming around him.

But he wasn’t dead. Not yet.

Everyone around him was hurt. He had wished that he could have taken someone else’s place, to protect them. But he was their strongest healer and their strongest supporter. The one that poured strength into their bodies and the one that knit torn flesh back together. Cain Darlite couldn’t protect them. But he could make sure that no matter what, they would continue to rise again.

The battle song stopped, its absence eerie and yet powerful none the less. Raising the flagpole skywards, Cain didn’t even look at the boar that had climbed up onto the rooftop alongside him. Magical energies fused with the banner of miracles, a second sun lighting up within the darkness. That radiant light warmed all, but as his eyes narrowed, the resplendent beams of light began to shift, to focus. To illuminate a single individual. To shine a spotlight in the darkest hour.

Blood seeped back into ruptured veins. Flesh and bone shifted and cracked, knitting themselves back together. Pain dulled, leaving nothing but the thousand-beats-per-minute pounding of one’s heart, as the outspoken muse roared out.

“RISE UP GEORGE! THE FIGHT’S NOT DONE AND YOU’RE NOT DEAD! A FATHER LAYS BLEEDING! A DAUGHTER LAYS WEEPING! WITH THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR STRENGTH, THE TOTALITY OF YOUR SOUL, FINISH IT!”

Healing magic poured down to the unfallen champion.

The second sun disappeared from the brilliant banner, and was reborn within the body of the tinkerer.

Kyupin saw red. Not the red of the blood seeping from her wounds, gashes the bear had managed to tear into her. It was the red of an unleashed rage. One that had bubbled over, refusing to stay contained within her quivering form.

She saw a little girl, cradled in her father's arms, crying. A terrified boy, alone and without a parent to protect him. A hawk, looming over them. It flashed before her eyes: their deaths. "No," she snarled, lips pulled back. The Felis had never considered herself a violent type. Not after she'd felt relief with her first kill, nor when she'd shot a man through the head (unintentional as it was). But here and now, frozen in this split second? She could be violent. For their sakes, at least.

There was no forgiveness in her to spare, no kindness left to share. This man wanted to start a war? Then Kyupin would end it, and then she would end him. Starting with the animals he'd twisted to his will.

The arrow ripped through the air, tearing through muscle and bone. Then another arrow, followed by the next, until she'd turned the hawk into a pincushion. It was dead long before the final arrow split open its skull.

It took a moment to register the burning in her hands - blood swelled from the cuts her tense string had carved into her fingers. It was surprising how well she could aim, considering the tears blurring her view. She swiped at her eyes, blood and tears smearing across her face. It would do. She could see now.

"How dare you," she hissed into the air, voice steadily climbing into a scream. "Come out and face us! HOW DARE YOU!"

She launched herself off the roof, landing swiftly on the balls of her feet and then rolling to soften the impact. Her momentum carried her to the children (and the father), where she planted herself in front of them, blocking the mutilated hawk from their sight. Vulcan circled around them, curling protectively around the younger boy to make sure he couldn't see anything.

If this mysterious man wanted to hurt these innocents again, he'd have to get through her. She bared her teeth.

    He could fucking try.

In hindsight, Curious George thought as the boar slammed its head into his, maybe taunting the wild animals wasn’t the best idea. His world went to stars, vision blurred and George stumbling. He only allowed this for a moment before instinct kicked in. George had his fair share of scraps when he was younger out on the streets, and combined with the lower pain of this world, he managed to keep himself stable. Only to see the bear’s claw coming down on him.

Then someone yelled at him to not stop. A father troubled. A daughter in fear. Something clicked.

Reflex is what he would call it afterwards. A mind set built his early days through battle. He felt his heart pounding, blood racing. Facing down someone, something, that he had no hope against. But this wasn’t one man against ten, or a free for all in a bar. This was against a monster. A real monster. A man he once coming to the surface for the first time in over a decade, and Curious George felt himself grin as his fist sailed upward past the bear’s claw.

    “FIST! OF MAIIINNEE!”

They shared strike. George grit his teeth when the claws struck him. “URRRRHHHH!” But he kept pushing in as far as his trap and fist would go, ignoring the pain, refusing to yield to this terror. Until finally he couldn’t push it any further.

A silence came over the too. George swallowed and took the breath. He looked up at the larger beast who had stopped moving like George. George grunted and removed his hand from the trap, the pushed it a little. The corpse fell to the ground in front of him and George was left standing.

“Ha…Haa…” George wiped away the digital blood from his mouth. He looked back at the father and the little girl behind him, then he looked back at the boars they hadn’t killed yet. “Right.” He scooped another trap off the ground. They were useless to stall the enemies, but they made great improve weapons. “Back to work.”

@Aalam Abungu 's powerful longbow still couldn't manage to bring it down, just how strong was this beast?! "No..." Then, to make matters even worse, @Indra blundered on her attack, whiffing the bear completely and only managing to skirt its hide with the luminous edge of her blade. Perhaps picking up such an oversized sword for her petite Faerin frame wasn't such a good idea after all, even Aria wasn't sure she could wield that without breaking her arm. This odd choice of weaponry might just doom them all as the bear rampaged through her, George, Aalam, and Kyupin, utterly wrecking havoc.

"George?!" As if it wasn't enough, the hogs decided to help put their dying ursine brethren as the tusked monstrosities charged out from the forest. However, should she really be worrying about the dying man when she had her own feral beast to deal with? "Gahack?!!!" The beast's charge slammed right onto Aria's slender frame, tossing her a good few feet as she ended up falling from the roof then tumbled down to a - rather conveniently placed - haystack. "Nngh..." Blood poured through her gritting teeth as she pushed through her pain, driven only by adrenaline, she couldn't stay, regrouping was the obvious action to take. "Cain, come on!" She bellowed as her legs carried her to Farmer Cade's location. (Moved to Zone 2)

    ---

During her sprint, she witnessed two of the most amazing events she had seen so far in Terrasphere. First, the usually gentle features of @Kyupin Felnya contorting into pure, unadulterated, rage as she did far more than just clipping the giant hawk's wings, the overgrown bird of prey having made the fatal mistake of landing.

Second, @Curious George the Tinkerer utterly betrayed his supposed role as he went up close and personal with the bear, slamming his makeshift weapon onto the bear, giving it all he got, finishing the pesky beast once and for all.

All these accompanied by the ceaseless aria of the midnight-haired Muse, @Cain Darlite , a song that'd drive away all fears and hesitation, paving the way to triumphant victory!

Now then, time for her and the rest of the party to do their part. Arriving at the pillory, she stood side by side with Kyupin, standing between the two remaining beasts and the three whom they swore to protect. "Let's roast some bacon!!" Aria quickly nocked an arrow and fire! Her arrow ripped through the gloomy air like a falcon diving to its prey as the talon struck the boar true.

Now the voice was firmly in the box of thing that he hated and need to kill just to prove a point, was the thought that entered his head as the bear sipped her might claws at him. It seemed that she was too heavy to get up onto the roof itself but that seemed to just engage her further so much that her claws hit harder cutting a grove into his arm. Damn…. It was still better than the situation that George was in it seemed his previous attack had overreached and left him open to a particularly powerful counter it hit him like a ton of bricks. For a second there a bit of fear was able to be seen on Aalam face it looked as though he was about to die, the blow stopped just short of robbing him of five points. Five points separated him from death. However, there was no cause for his worry about the man it seemed that the Cain wasn’t just good at buffing for an attack but proficient at healing and heal he did calling down what looked like the light of the gods to mead the wounds that George has received. It wasn't enough to heal him back to full health but it was enough to get him back on his feet, and with the strength, George was able to turn the tide. Grabbing one of his little traps and using it as an improvised weapon driving it deep into the beast skull killing the creature.

Guess seeing a father and daughter almost get mauled by a savage beast stoked the flames in a soul for just as George landed his blow did Kyupin move in to end the hawk with a fire that he had seen from the little lady. Arrow after arrow flew through at the winged creature piercing the beast in almost every possible stop making sure that it wouldn't be getting back up ever against. He was impressed didn't know she had it in her, she had even worked her finger to the point that bleed was dripping down the length of her draw strength. A slight smile worked its way onto his face even in this situation, with his party mates wounded and bleeding, with two more beasts still alive and kicking, with a voice that controls them all still hidden.

He wasn't about to be out shown by tinker nocking an arrow and start to sprint towards the beast. Reaching the edge of the roof jumping off and lining up his shot letting the arrow fly at the boar slamming home into the creatures back before hitting the ground rolling. Ending his journey to stand next to George, well if he the support was going to have guts, the best he could do was back him up.(Moving to zone 2) Giving a quick comment at him in a hushed voice."Looks like your not dead yet, let try and keep it that way."
