Sun & Moon A big home-run from @Temperance send the girls into a panic as they gave the woman a look of bewilderment. Too many customers were winning. Thankfully @Cain Darlite "Lights Out" gave them all a glimmer of hope that people will start paying the gambling joint so they can receive their salary later that day. The girls who run the Sun Booth are now going around beckoning patrons for tips. "For 10 meager coins, we'll kiss your cards for good luck, please make a girl's night!" one of the girls called out. Earnings are handed out to the people who have been winning at the game. All winnings have been paid up until this post. If you'd like to tip a girl, send 10g to @Endra Wager!
Sun Intrigued by the prospect of earning as much as thrice as his wager, the arcane archer couldn't resist the urge to test his luck. Since he had recently purchased some much needed, yet basic equipment, he suddenly found himself in the need for extra coin. Hopefully Endra smilles upon him today since she must know how much he needs gold at the moment. "a little gambling every once in a while isn't bad." He tried convincing himself before proceeding to bet in the Sun Booth. Bet: 30g Thrown die: 53
Sun Temperance felt no particular remorse for winning, taking it as a sign that her god was just generally a less shitty deity than their god, who wasn't protecting them from financial loss. She tossed out more money to bet, not bothering to tip any of the girls, because she didn't want her cards tainted by their inferior faith. Bet: 150g Thrown die: 47
Sun Temperance gave a huff and twitched up her nose as her money was raked away once again, this time throwing down the last of what she had and kissing her card in the hopes it would receive a blessing from HER god. Of course it didn't matter- she already got her nice new clothing, so everything now was just for the sake of fun. Bet: 110g Thrown die: 84
Sun Noticing the bizarre amount of people betting their savings away, he tired to avoid this damn place. Really, he did. Fate decided the man was too curious for his own good, "Because this won't end badly." Bet: 100g Thrown die: 72
Sun Sticking to her devil-may-care attitude with her money, Temperance bet it all again, noticing that the odds of winning the High Sun had changed to a measily 3% from its previous 5%... these worshipers of Endra were tilting the stakes in their favor to try and save their losses. No wonder they kept losing then- their god frowned on cheating, didn't they? She gave her card another kiss and flipped it over, wondering if her own deity wanted her to keep winning, or get on with her day. Bet: 220g Thrown die: 73
Sun Now that the maximum bets had been increased, Temperance went ahead and grabbed all the winnings she had just gotten, throwing them back down on the table, giving her card another kiss kiss. Probably she would lose here, which would be fine... she'd started to get bored of winning, and needed to go spread the word of her god some more... but the more she won the more attention she drew, which was perfect ammunition for converting. Living, as evidence that her god blessed his worshipers. Bet: 440g Thrown die: 95
Sun So much had happened in so very little time. She wasn't one for betting and the losing did feel rather shitty, but then there was Temperance. Gwyn had met the support a few times now and amusingly enough found herself smiling at the girl kissing her own cards. She had done the same to Gwyn's arrows in the fight against Azog. It seemed to have worked just fine. The archer wasn't religious and she wasn't into magic, but if it was working so well... Gwyn paid her next bet and lifted her own card to her lips to press it gently for a moment before flipping it over. It felt kind of stupid admittedly, but it couldn't hurt. What was a little gold for some fun? And if she didn't win, maybe the lovely cleric lady would take pity on her and offer a buff to her luck this time around with another magic kiss or three? Bet: 50g Thrown die: 38
Sun & Moon The manager of the booth came out with a rather annoyed look on his face as he rubbed the tight folds between his brows. Looking at @Temperance pissed him off. Some of the girls were hiding behind him as if seeking refuge from the woman who was cleaning out their establishment. Regardless of how much money the casino was losing, he handed the sum to the big spender. "It seems your luck is a divine miracle from somewhere, huh? How about you show us another miracle with that? The Sun Booth will increase the wager limit up to 900 gold just for you," he commented. Earnings are handed out to the people who have been winning at the game. All winnings have been paid up until this post.
Sun Looking at @Stampede, she flipped the card and said, "No." Then walked away from the casino. She was grateful for the girls running the event stepping in which was the only reason she was trying again. They seemed to be having a small run of bad luck. Bet: 25g Thrown die: 19
Sun Amaryllis looked at all the people betting and having had no real attachment to digital currency, she decided to gamble most of her money. She'd already obtained a few good items, what was losing money that she wasn't even spending. Bet: 400g Thrown die: 33
Sun Temperance smiled at the manager who came out to speak with her personally, bemused by his thin veneer of calm that masked the tension he must feel at her on and off winning streaks. She shrugged as he said he would increase the maximum wager for her and her alone, tossing all her money onto the table in a blasé manner as though winning had never been important to her in the first place. "I'll take that bet, good sir! I could use the money to start funding a church to my god. He's not one of your Elysid bunch, so there's no temple for people to go to, to pray to him at present. Not in this land at least! It'd be super awesome if you Endra folk funded the foundation of his church though, wow!" Raising her palm, Temperance gave it a sloppy kiss, then smacked her palm against her forehead in order to get it nice and wet with her spit. Once it was adequately coated, she grinned and slammed her head down on the table, causing it to shake from the impact, the card her forehead had hit sticking to her head for everyone to see. Bet: 900g Thrown die: 54
Temperance shrugged and tossed the card down on the table, leaving her pile of money for them to collect. On her way out, she slipped a tip to one of the girls that had been going around offering kisses for luck, and gave the girl a peck on the cheek and a 10g tip, then vanished out the doors with nary a care.
Sun & Moon The bespectacled manager brushed the bang from his forehead to wipe away the sweat that has been collecting the entire time he watched the young woman, @Temperance go through her bizarre prayer ritual to prime herself for the drawing of the card. If she somehow managed to get a triple return on her wager, his head was on the chopping block... And so the man silently prayed to Endra to not let a foreign god encroach on her realm. She responded his prayer, in the form of the Sunrise that was flipped. He let out a deep sigh as if relieved of the tight tension. "Better luck next time ma'am." Danger averted for now... The girl who was tipped and kissed turned red from head to toes after the fact. When she spotted the strangely-dressed woman exit the booth, she waved after her, "thank you for the kind patronage!" Earnings are handed out to the people who have been winning at the game. All winnings have been paid up until this post.
Sun Eileen ignored all the other customers and sauntered in, easily planting a bag of 600 golden pieces. She winked at the girls. "How about you three bless me some luck?" she purred. Bet: 600g Thrown die: 66
