Crimson eyes parted open towards not the embrace of the sun but rather the moon resting above in a sea of stars, hidden only past rustling leaves of tree-tops around. Agnimitra's fingertips curved against the ground, feeling the slick patches of grass that embraced her smooth frame and what clothing she wore. This was it. This is what she'd been fearing for the nights before, what she'd been dreaming of and thinking over. A whole new world for her explore, to take hold of with these hands of her own, of the avatar that was built in her exact design.

She lay upon the ground for moments longer, the curved digits of her right hand lift and hold upwards towards the glowing orb that cascaded light over her pale features. There was no effort to get up yet, it was still a new sensation just to be here - smelling the forest around her and feeling the simplest brushes of air across her cheek. There was hesitation inside of her heart, that any movement to stand would shatter this illusion and bring her back into the real world upon her bed. She was beginning to feel cold just laying here on the ground and there was no sign of any other new players in her immediate vicinity.

In the end, everything must move forward and Agnimitra knew that better than anyone else. With a raise of her back, her long white hair once splayed across the ground slid up along her back, crimson ribbons adorned upon them. Her eyes glanced back down to her hands which now rested upon the red pants she wore, with a white shirt and red suspenders tight on her shoulders. "Wake up, it's time to make a change..."

Turning a foot she plants her first step onto the wet grass beneath her boot and rose up, bringing her full height to stand finally. If it wasn't for the sound of some creature beginning to howl, she might've spent a few more minutes observing the sky. However a pair of animal ears hidden within the ribbon atop her head twitched and caught the sound, alerting to her that she was not as alone in these woods then she'd once original thought.

A swivel on her boots and the girl began to book it across the land, running as fast as these new legs of hers could take her, passing by tree after tree with the moon as the only witness to her fervent escape from predators unknown. Still, even though this was supposed to be something scary, something that in real life she would've been running in full fear of... why was she smiling? She couldn't stop grinning, there was some sense of elation that sparked in her heart and she laughed as she ran now.

Yes, yes! Nothing came with ease, nothing this beautiful could be peaceful forever! Danger must lurk behind every corner, this was not her life beyond this world, she was in the present here! Thrills and rewards aplenty awaited her in these foreign lands, with her dreams set when she was beginning to creation this visage refreshing in her memory. She remembered what she wanted to do out of all of this! She wanted not only to achieve advancements in her long-term goals but to live this life to the fullest. This was the start! The arrival of the spitfire to ignite this world into turning it's gears and making something brand new out of it all.

  2. "Another day gone by, another quest for the sake of Astorea completed" With no enthusiasm he spook out loud as If he had a party with him on this, sighing heavying, his job was more of a pain in the ass than most players realized, being a noble a was harder than it seemed! Traveling back and fourth between Stokbon in Brisshal and Dormont Castle in Astorea was tiring work than having to play politics in the courts of nobles was even less than entertaining most of the time since they only cared for their greed. Once he built his own fortress in his Duchy, he would have none of this crap, having to do it himself, instead he send someone to do this for him. He couldn't wait for those days but for now, he have to deal with the current and right now was walking back to Astorea in the dead of night with only the moon to guide his legs. He had to watch the tree lines carefully for any ambush set by bandits, despite being the Black Duke of Astorea, many still clung to the idea he could be killed easily, they were wrong.....deadly wrong.

There was also the chance he could run into new players considering he was in Brisshal but most had the brain power to spawn in during the day or at least only travel during the day even If Brisshal itself wasn't a dangerous place for the most part since most new players spawned in the region. Seto would have lied to himself If he wasn't tired at all, having been walking for nearly six hours or something like that, he lost tracked as he walked down the forest cobblestone road, it was colder than usual and damp despite not having rain for a few days. "Clouds must be close to the ground." Seto mused, being damp and cold wasn't a great feeling but at least it kept him awake in his ebony armor he wore. Walking down the cobblestone road alone in the darkness of the night with the moon's light guiding him, came sinister green mist from out the tree line and into the roadm Seto immediately stopped himself in his track. Rolling his eyes to the left than to the right as he scanned the area for danger while he kept his right hand on the hilt of his Odachi that laid snuggled in it's Saya. Out the shadows
    AN ENEMY APPROACHED!

    Undead Paladin

    [BATTLE THEME]
    Threat Level: Unknown

What a sight it was, Seto closed his eyes in pity, even he had some honor to speak of, to see such a mighty warrior cursed to walk amongst the living when he should have earned his warrior death, even he wouldn't do something so cruel, understanding what it meant to be a warrior in the real world and in Terrasphere. By the degeration of it's armor and the rags it wore, it was evident this former Paladin had died long ago. exhaling angrily out of his nose, he drew his Odach as he prepared to meet blade to blade with the Paladin as it looked into his soul with it's great sword, Seto swore he would destroy this undead and free the soul of the fallen warrior from this cure he was sworen to and If he found the person who did this, he would kill them in the most horrible of ways!

  3. Her breath steamed against the air whilst Agnimitra continued to run, jumping over brush and around trees to escape the sound of pattering paws that clobbered the earth beneath them. She could feel her heart beating a hundred miles a minute, simulated pain rushing through her lungs from the amount of sheer running she was doing. She wasn't some speed demon, the creatures would catch up soon, she could tell and she did the best that she could with her given powers. As she jumped off a small hill she rose a hand up, grasping onto a branch as a puff of smoke and a ignition of flame sparked from her hand. It was barely enough to hurt anyone but it was enough to break off the branch and cause it to hurtle downwards behind her, hopefully knocking into one of the beasts or offering a bit of extra terrain to cross over.

Her boots slammed onto the ground as she landed, tucking into a roll and beginning her sprint again. Crimson eyes flickering upwards as she began to spot what seemed to be two figures in the distance. Agnimitra couldn't make out who or what they were but being around humanoids similar to herself was better than nothing at all. Her ears picked up one of them speaking, perking beneath the bow on her head and she ran for that one, the man that thankfully wasn't the paladin that would come into view after jumping herself right through a bush, sending twigs and leaves flying outwards with her.

    Skidding along the ground by the soles of her shoes, Agnimitra's body spiraled and her hand touched down against the road, facing now where she'd just came from. She expected the creatures chasing her to have come following after but just as quickly as they came, they seemed to turn tail with another howl and begin retreating away. Either due to the other player's arrival or perhaps because the danger that the Paladin possessed across from them. Her eyes whatever the matter it turned out to be made for Seto and she asked him;

"Ooookay, so bit of an odd question here but uh, that erm... thing with ya?" The hand not planted to the ground in her slight crouch aimed it's index digit towards the unknown threat. Internally, Agnimitra kind of hoped that her luck was gonna pay off here but she highly doubted she'd get lucky enough to have everything go her way right off the bat. A girl could still hope though, right?

  4. The Sudden running he heard in the distance wasn't calming to his mind, was there more threats in the forest? undead ones? He shooked his head slightly. "Impossible" He thought, he knew undead couldn't sprint for the most part unless they were high tier undead but that would be a waste of energy he thought, there wasn't anything valuable in Brisshal to use such high tier undead from what he knew. Although the noise of running was getting louder as th seconds wents by, the Paladin didn't move for some reason, it was odd but it worked in his favour, he would wait for it to make the first move before beginning his own attack in this situation. The Staring showdown was broken when the sudden footsteps were right on top of them, it at first stopped but the next moment had a strange looking female Felis crash through some bushes, skidding across the road with her boots while spiraling out of control somehow, it was quite the entrance indeed, even the undead Paladin turned his presumed head to watch. From what had just transpired, Seto assumed the Felis was in some sort of trouble by the worried experssion on her face..

She certainly was a strange one looking at him with her crimson eyes, asking him a question out of the blue If the undead was with him. Lowering his head towards the ground at the sight of the Felis question, Seto sighed as he found the palm of his left hand up against his forehead, wow just wow he thought, he hadn't heard someone ask him a question like that before, at least she did have some validation since he was a Fiend Knight wearing ebony armor and such warriors were associated with the dark arts and other unpleasent things. The moment he was going to give the young woman an answer, "NO! DARNIT! THAT WASN'T RIGHT!" a voice was heard about a few dozen feet away before a shriek was followed up, who it was obivously didn't want to be found or something like that. Brining his complete attention to the thing infront of him, The Undead Paladin attacked!.......or he would have liked that! Instead it crumbled before him and the girl as soon the voice in the distance went silent, it's bones crashed into the ground, it's weapons and armor slamming against the road, making a loud THUD noise, in the end there was only a pile of bone, ash and the remains of the former paladin's arms and armor. Sighing in relief, Seto shethed his Odachi into's saya on his back before looking back at the girl, walking over to the Felis, he would offer his hand If she needed help, otherwise he would cross his arms against his chest as he spooke to her.

"Fair Maiden, Do you always make such entrances? I have to say it would be original....ah well pardon my rudeness, Am Seto, Fiend Knight as you could probably tell, am not exactly sure what just happened for you to make a entrance like that but do you need help? This is Brisshal after all.....Are you perhaps a new player? It would make sense, most people tend to stay indoors during night and travel by day, luckily for you I don't abide by such rules."

  5. The sound of a foriegn individual's voice ringing out caught Agnimitra's attention, focusing her head in it's direction before her gaze shifted and watched the collapse of several bones that once comprised the sturdy looking undead being in front of the 'knight' and herself. She rose to stand, brushing some of the dirt off her clothing and noting some minor scuffing on her clothing, what a damn pain but there wasn't much to be done with it currently, least not in it's current state. She turned her attention onto Seto now that the danger seemed to fade just enough that they'd have a bit of time to converse with one another.

She didn't reach for his hand at all, a white feline tail swayed behind her back left and right slowly as she began to give the man a long good look over from head to toe. She began to walk around him and observe the armor that he was wearing whilst he crossed those arms of his and began some spiel about helping her and addressing her as some fair maiden. "Sorry to disappoint you but I don't see any fair maidens around here, you'll have to get your eyes checked out sometime soon there pal." A grin formed across her mouth as she showed off her white teeth, sharp canines giving off a playful expression.

"Seto huh? Not exactly creative with your naming choice, are ya?" She tapped the front of her shoe against the road beneath and then cocked her head in a tilt to the side. "Never really bothered to look into the whole Fiend Knight business, so I don't know the first thing about you or your importance here. As for my entrance, pretty sure anyone would make that kind of entrance if you're being chased off by some wolves down a hillside to the road, especially when yeah, you're new." She gave confirmation to his theory that she was a new player to TS and that this was her first time logging in but beyond that she seemed to have a pretty hard to get along with personality at face value.

"Brisshal's the name of this place? Well they need to fix their spawn system then, not another damn person was around me when I arrived, would've been better off just tossing me into some kinda cavern with a few more of those buggers." With a click of her tongue in disdain she looked down the road and then behind her to see which way led where before she turned her gaze back onto Seto and ran a hand down along her face with a sigh. "Alright tell you what, let's go ahead and say I'm in need of your assistance this once."

Sliding her hands into her pockets, Agnimitra parted her lips and introduced herself. "The name is Agnimitra, try to commit it to memory alright Seto?" At least she had the courtesy to remember his name, even though she did kind of diss it at first. "I need to find myself someplace safe that I can get a good start at, this place wasn't exactly my first choice, hard to imagine I know." Sarcasm too? She was just a bundle of daisies wasn't she? "If you can help me get to town and get situated, I'll help you out in the future. I'll come up with some kind of favor in return for you since I hate owing people. Especially people that'd call me something like 'Fair Maiden'. So how about it, you in?"

  6. He watched the Felis closely silently as she brushed some of the dirt of her clothes and picked herself up, she obviously wasn't in the greatest of moods nor was she one of the friendly type players, refusing his hand for adi, he shrugged, she made her mind, there was nothing he could do about about it. watching the Felis closly with his eyes, he raised an eyebrow surprised she simply toured herself around him, trying to get better look at him or his armor or amybe it was both? It didn't matter much, his suspicion was confirmed about this girl, she was one of those strong, prideful types like that Keade girl he had met some time ago, he really wished this girl had more brains than that did since anything could set that girl off, this one didn't seem as bad thankfully since she simply scuffed at his words calling her a Fail Maiden. Well he knew was wrong but it wasn't like she looked or acted like the type, he was simply being nice due to his title as duke, he couldn't exactly be an asshole to every player he met, especially not so being a Duke of a player ran nation.

The woman didn't seem to care what she said with words, calling his name uncreative, If this woman was trying to piss him off, It wasn't working but she did annoy him, he really wasn't one of those people who dealt well with these type of people, he could never understand how such weak people could talk this way and expect to survive in a world like this where he could kill her without a second though? Maybe she testing him? He gave up, he didn't want to waste the energy anyway. Rolling his eyes, he shrugged and sighed at her comments about his name and knowing nothing of what a Fiend Knight was. He couldn't entirely blame her for not knowing what a Fiend Knight was but it didn't take much brain power to figure, Fiend = demon + Black Armor anyone? Was she in capable of problem solving something so simple? It could be understandable If she never played a fantasy game or read something similar but this was a tad surpringing to him. Her comment on her on her spawning sounded pretty similar to a few people he met on his first day, he didn't get such luck, instead he spawned at the base of a mountain in a forest next to a river.

This Felis was definitely the talker, ripping apart his entire comment whom he said only a moment ago, now she wanted to confirm this was Brisshal and wanting the spawning points to be fixed, he had to refrain himself from chuckling, it was entertaining to him, watching her complain left and right, like the people who built this place, this game cared for spawning points, she wasn't the first person to spawn like this and she certainly wouldn't be the last one. This entire time, his arms were still crossed while he stood still, he was trying to be nice but the way she acted, the urge to teleport away was great but he knew he had to surpess such emotions, he knew he would have to deal with people like her in the future so he decided he would be nice and see where whatever this was led to. Eventually after she looked down the road, sighed and looked back to him, she did admit she needed his "assitance" so to say as well as finally introducing herself to him.

"Agnimitra?" That was quite an odd name and she complained about his? He wondered how she came up with a name like that? He wasn't even sure he able to come up with something like that but than again, he preferred the simpler things in life, a name was no different If possible. He was a little reliefed she managed to remember his name before she told him she needed help to get to the nearest town.

"Am just gonna say this once, until you get the skills to match those words you say, There are people who will cut you down for such trival crap, call me an asshole If you want, Am telling you the Truth. You don't need to be so around me, I sure as hell ain't no damm White Knight in shining armor, I'd rather shove my Oachi up their asses with their heroic talk and assumed heroic deeds. Am a fiend knight, the opposite of those idiots, a Knight who kill without morality and controls dark magic at their finger tips, those white knight like idiots can all burn in hell for all I care. Now onto your question, I gave you my word so I will help you.....oh and you don't need to worry about me calling you a fair Maiden, I was simply being polite, I have a certain reputation to live upto unfortunately....hmph...damm nobles."

Spining around, doing an about face with his right foot, he walked past Agnimitra and began walking down the road, he signeled her with her hand, waving to fllow before putting them in his pockets."Come on Agnimitra the badass, this way will lead to Dawngrave, a Japanese style town, it's about thirty minutes away." Aynone else would most likely be sarcastic or give her an atitude but Seto? He was nearly emotionless with his words or facial expression, he learned long ago it was best not to show such things when dealing people to not show weakness to those who could exploit it.

  7. Neldo had been out too long. But it was the pains of being new to the game that he needed to do grinding and lost track of time. He stepped cautiously through the night constantly using his detection skills to avoid crossing any unsavory monsters. After all his last encounter hadn't been pleasant. Fortunately that had been half an hour ago and his energy was nearly full again.

He had overstayed his welcome whilst reading scraps of literature. He believed that the lore of the world would open secrets and treasures to those willing to put forth the effort. So far nothing jumped off the dirty scraps of parchment he had found, but he held onto them all the same. You never could be sure when one of them might have some important information relating to a quest, contract, or dungeon later.

There was a shout in the distance, causing Neldo to turn towards the sound. He began to make his way towards it cautiously. As he did, other voices could be heard in a slightly different direction. Looking towards their voices, he could see some sort of path through the trees, but could not quite make out the figures speaking.

Likely they were other players. That could go in his favor, or it could back fire. After weighing the two outcomes he reasoned that his character was too green to be worth another's time as he had nothing of value. He reached into his robes and tossed his focus weapon, a lump of coal into the air. He mumbled a single word in Yladian, and the coal condensed into a floating orb of burning coal that lit the forest around him as it slowly orbited him.

Since they were other players, he felt it would be better that they seem him even as he approached. After all, creatures sneaking up in the night might not receive the best welcome. With the light of his ember, he would reveal his presence and make his way to the road. If he was lucky he could perhaps get directions to the nearest town for the night.

  8. Sophie really does have to see it by herself.

Because of the nature of her schedule in real life, the majority of her log-ins in (admittedly rather short) time in this game had been during the day, and she had been dedicating her evenings to her studies. Today, however, she had the luxury of a mostly freed up schedule, and she doesn’t have a particularly punishing schedule tomorrow either. What better way it is to spend your relatively free day than playing the new Virtual Reality MMO that you’re slowly getting addicted to?

Well, the truth is Sophie had another ulterior motivation about her sudden change in her log-in schedule. While most other MMO game developed before Terrasphere had a game world that doesn’t change no matter which time you log-in at, Terrasphere have this unique distinction of possessing a game world that seems actually alive. What this means is that passage of time actually mattered in the game world. Depending on the time of the day that you logged-in, you might actually encounter new things in the game. They range from new mobs, new collectibles, as well as – apparently – new quests.

Naturally, as she logged in at the appropriate time, she would see that the game world had already been shrouded in darkness, as befitting the time of the evening. Even the beginner area of Brisshal now have a certain…mystique in it, mostly because of the lack of illumination at certain corners of the location. In fact, mundane locations in the day had acquired a certain kind of foreboding aura just because certain corners of the road had been concealed by the shadows.

Elmyra, who had by now realized that unfamiliarity had been settling in, immediately withdrew her crossbow from her bag. Ammos then followed suit, multiple bolts then neatly arranged in a row on her belt before she drew one from it in order to notch it on the crossbow’s own machinations. She then again withdrew another item from her bag – this time a healing potion – and notched it onto her belt. It really does seem that she’s ready to participate in a monster hunt.

…While Elmyra had been doing all of these with a stoic expression, Sophie had been growing increasingly nervous with her surroundings. Is it really her fault though, that the surroundings themselves had beginning to resemble that of a Virtual Reality Horror Game?

And then there was that sound in the distance.

The startled Elmyra began by aiming her crossbow at the distant, seemingly empty space. A few seconds then passed, and once she began to positively, one-hundred percent determine that there really is nothing there in the distance, or at least nothing that would affect her personally, she finally lowered her ready stance. Grumbling a few inaudible words, she inhaled a few lungs of air before she’s apparently calm enough to take her trigger finger off the trigger…

    …But then, the sounds returned.

Elmyra, who by now had her curiosity prodded something fierce, decided to confront the mystery head on. She proceeded to walk towards the direction where the sounds seemingly originated. Before long, she saw a light in the distance illuminated a figure seemingly walking at a steady pace, what seemed to be a floating fire the source of said illumination. The man’s face can’t be determined from her position, but from his tall stature he looked like a Yladian.

…Really, they all sound like a setup to some ghost story doesn’t it? Perhaps when she called out to him she’d find out that he has no face or something like that…

“H-Hello!” Elmyra called out to the man, her voice seemingly turned an octave higher in the end. She, however, had decided to not muck around and try to tackle this ‘mystery’ head-on. “Did you also hear those sounds?”

  9. The first thing Agnimitra had to hear from the guy was a retort about how until she got more powerful, she should watch her words. What? Was honesty not a courtesy here in this world anymore? As for people willing to cut her down for trivial things, she'd rather just grab their faces and burn them to a crisp later - she doesn't really tolerate those that'd actively cut down others over just minor words. She wouldn't call Seto an asshole but she definitely didn't think very highly of him after this whole 'talking to' business he's got going on. A fiend knight was apparently a knight willing to kill without morality and wields dark magic, great - does that make him public enemy number one? Of all the people to get stuck with, it had to be this guy. "Reputation or not, it's not just you - I wouldn't be satisfied with anyone calling me a fair maiden, so don't take it personally. As for helping me, don't get me wrong I do appreciate it but I'm just the type to say what I mean and not what others wanna hear."

Just as she was prepared to follow along with Seto towards this town called Dawngrave, they were interrupted by the appearance of not one but eventually two other players joining together and exiting out onto the road path. "Also I'm not a badass, not yet anyway." She chimed in towards Seto before she looked at the two others who just arrived, a grin crossing her mouth as she slid her hands into her pockets and began to walk over to them to greet them properly. She didn't care if Seto was against the idea, she didn't really follow him to begin with very much, did she?

"Gonna go out on a wild limb here and just imagine you guys aren't new here either? Well pleasure to meet you regardless, name's Agnimitra. Just logged in for the first time and got chased by some wolves down the cliff-side until I met that dark brooding-type guy behind me. Hopefully we can get along pretty well. We're on our way to Dawngrave if you'd like to tag along with us, assuming you're looking for the nearest town?" Her right hand slipped out from her pocket and was offered over towards the man with the glowing orb of flame first, better to greet them properly before assuming situations. She liked to think of herself as the type that could break down some of the more tougher people's walls and help open them up a bit. New player or not, she still had a way of getting to people in a positive or negative way.

  10. OOC: Sorry had no idea you posted Delta, I didn't get any notifications anyone posted >_>

It was clear to Seto that the new Felis he met didn't enjoy his words, she didn't say it of course but he could tell by her facial expression alone but it mattered not to him, she could hold him in any regards as far as he was concerned. It did become obvious however with Agnimit opening her mouth telling telling him anyone that called her a maiden had the wrong idea. He could appericate she didn't let her pride get the better of her unlike some other players he had met on his travels, this one or Agnimit at least had the right idea to cool her jets and wait it out until she was stronger. Her honesty did go a long way, her telling she was a blunt person like himself and did in fact appreciated what little help he had given so far, he hoped she would remain blunt and honest with him while leaving her pride at the door, there really wasn't a need for such a horrible human trait, If he could do it than so could everyone else as far as he was concerned.

As he stated walking down the eire, cobblestone path with Agnimitra behind him, they didn't even get ten feet down the path when he and his new Felis companion noticed two shoadowly figure in the distance, he didn't get any time to ponder as Agnitimitra took the initiative exaplining she wasn't a badass yet, that was obvious wasn't it? Seto was simply making a sarcastic joke with his dry humor, it wasn't intended to be an insult since there was some players who simply gave off that fibe about them like himself and Agnimitra however she would need to earn just as he did a long time ago. The girl he just met didn't hesitate either to walk past him towards the figures, he would give her balls for something like that, not even analyzing the situation first, for all she knew they could have been bandits, murders, rapists etc and she was just going to walk over to them? He Sighed off to the side slightly as he watched Agnimitra greet the two unknowns. He was curious himself and he highly doubt they could challenge him so he shrugged, placing his middle and index fingers together from his right hand, he looked in the direction of the three players, focused his energy into his hands dematerialized within a few seconds, teleporting himself to the three.

Rematerializing into the world, Seto slightly nodded eye to both their corner's taking in what he saw, to his left was a tall man, at least six feet taller from what he could guess with a slim build golden hair, that was sorta new to him since he hadn't seen many built like him. To his right.....was a all too familiar person, that grey hair, that build, her face, yeap.....it was Elmyra, his favourite Herbalist. Crossing his arms, he turned completely to face Elmyra before speaking. "Hmph....It's my favorite herbalist, I didn't think I would see you so soon Emyra after coming back to civilization. Hopefully since our time together, this forsaken world hasn't been too rough on you."

He was gonna ask the other player for a greeting as well but The Felis took the initiative again, beating him to the punch to speak, asking the two If they were not or not before explaining the same tale she had told him only moments ago to these two. She also went out on a limb whether they wanted to go to Dawngrave with him and
Agnimitra, he wasn't a social person obviously but he supposed he wouldn't mind the company, he hadn't intended to travel to Dawngrave earlier but it seemed he had little choice in the matter now, at least he could check up on his hometown and see what they were up to, maybe Christina had improved her white magic since the last he had seen her. "Well If you two wish to travel with us, very well, I do not mind, Dawngrave is only a thirty-minute walk so it isn't far, just down the path. I know the people of Dawngrave very well, they are very accepting of new players, even going so far as taking some in who are willing to earn their keep so If you want quests, you don't have to look for, even myself was a noob at one point, they took me in my first week in this world and helped me become stronger."

  11. Neldo turned and raised an open palm to his shoulder height. His coal levitated higher, casting out it's dim light further revealing the gray haired girl. "Yes, I'm hoping it's someone who has directions." He reminded himself it was just a game, which was the only reason he hadn't jumped at someone running up from behind him. It was lucky for him that she wasn't violent. He turned and continued out onto the road, with his dim light held high.

Soon there was medium sized party on the path. Neldo himself, the girl behind him who was now identified as an alchemist, an almost too friendly felis, and an enigmatic teleporting warrior that the Yladian would've avoided crossing paths with had he known. It was too late now though. Fortunately they all seemed to be quite friendly.

"I am indeed looking for the nearest town. Only thirty minutes to this city? I would be much obliged to travel with you." Neldo bowed his head in gratitude briefly.

This was all falling rather well into place, and the others seemed to have more history than him. Probably a good sign they weren't player killers, though if they were he suspected the one would've been through him in no time at all.

  12. (OOC: Yeah, I’m sorry for the delay... I only got the notification for the Astorea thread instead of this thread, ‘tis weird.)

The magical, illuminated coal hovers ominously in front of Elmyra’s face. The light then gradually reveals…well, actually just a normal, elven face, perfectly normal if you’re in a fantasy world, in which she is in one right now, technically.

It might have been subtle, but Elmyra – and Sophie, by extension – breathed a sigh of relief at the lack of fanfare in the revelation, especially the lack of a scary revelation. She also liked the fact that his concerns are so…well, mundane, and how calm he is in the face of mysterious sounds and darkened surroundings. She might not want to admit it out loud, but his calmness is a bit reassuring.

“Directions? Do you mean to nearest town?” She inquired first. Before she could get an answer from the man however, the sounds beginning to seeming grow closer and closer by the second. Startled, Elmyra readied the strings of her crossbow entirely by reflex before brandishing it at the general direction of the coming sounds. Perhaps this time it’s the real deal?

…Well, not, it’s just a familiar face followed by an unfamiliar face. She’s not one to pry about the personal lives of the mighty, but for one who seemingly complain a lot on having to babysit newbies to the game, the Duke seems to go out of his way to encounter them. Have a soft spot but bad in expressing it perhaps? Or does he just like his job very much but can’t stand the ones he had to help in said job? What a conundrum.

Elmyra lowered her crossbow immediately once she understood that they’re not really a threat. Far from it, it seems. Before she could offer a greeting at the pair, the unfamiliar player took the initiative and greeted her. If there was any doubt that she was a newbie, they’d be dashed in an instant as she didn’t mince words to admit that yes, she’s a newbie. The lack of equipment in her person was the biggest tip off that you can ask for really.

“Well, for a lot of people standards I’m still new, but I suppose I’m not completely new.” Elmyra said, before nodding politely at the direction of the girl. “Just call me Elmyra, and well…” She eyed the man who also seems eager for direction to the nearest town, “I’m not going to object to that really. I was just making my way towards more populated area, in fact.” Well, alright, she wasn’t, but at this point she might as well do.

That was when the Duke had decided to greet her. It was…well, she found the statement about her being his favorite herbalist a bit farfetched, but she got the impression that he did that as a jest.

“Couldn’t ask for a better one, milord. Nothing out of the ordinary had happened, everything’s been quiet. I like it better that way. How about you? Did you decide to fully embrace your side-job as a guide?” That last bit might be a joke…but it’s hard to see it because Elmyra had said it with a completely straight face.

“Why Dawngrave, specifically?” She asked as they begin to walk towards said town. It wasn’t a question to anyone in particular, though it’ll probably garner more of a reception from the newbie and the man.
