  1. While Sylpha wasn't explicitly looking for it, she did have interest in the backstory of the Elves, or Yladians. @Astor Balthas rundown of the situation was indeed very useful to her. Committing it to memory (although parts of which she might have forgotten later), she thanked him. As he gestured for her to come closer, Sylpha no longer hesitated and peered at his information-sharing pane.

Astor Balthas, it said. King of Astorea, it said.

Since, as Astor said, it did make her technically his subject, Sylpha decided she would just keep to calling him His Highness. It should be a form he would be most familiar with, since he was a king.

In return for his information, he inquired on what it was like travelling through the rift. So she answered.

"Well, it could have been worse. Going in the portal felt like being pushed and pulled in every direction by vacuum cleaners at once. Then, the angle you go in is not guaranteed to be the angle you come out at so I fell out face first. The Brotherhood cast a spell on us to resist the heat, so it was actually cooler than outside, but if it wasn't for it then we'd all be burnt just being there. We saved some naked slave called Ivan who lead us to the relic, and one little girl who came with us disappeared and reappeared out of nowhere trying to steal the relic for herself. Oh, and she caught the attention and anger of approximately one hundred firey creatures so -"

Her explanation was interrupted by the announcement of the coming arrival at the Pelham Hot Springs. Sylpha displayed no irritation, though, as her explanation was already at it's end.

"...So it could have been worse, since we somehow all made it out alive. The relic gave you hallucinations if you touched it, too. Fused with one of us."

Before Sylpha could say any further, she received the wineglass from @Verity whom she nodded to in acknowledgement and placed the empty wineglass back into her inventory. Thinking back to the relic, the Orb of Idna was that kind of curious generic fantasy artifact Sylpha had always wanted to see. "I might be able to make a replica of the relic in hard candy." She commented on the side.

Any further comment she left to herself.

  2. Astor turned away from @Sylpha Astarte and looked at the floor while making head gesture to indicate that he was still listening to her. Rift traveling sounded similar to the portal that the Arena Master opened for his group to go into Mount Vulpus. It seemed that regardless of skills, rift traveling is always awful. Though when he heard the blue-haired woman mentioned an unknown name, Astor became rather intrigued by it. “Ivan, huh? Isn't that the cultist that came back...?” Astor muttered to himself.

Astor did not know anything about this character, but he figured that it must have been a skilled Astral Mage, if he managed to bring back the relic retrieval group safely after the portals collapsed on his side. Sooner to later, Astor would have to have a chat with that unsavory character. Regardless of what anyone said, if someone was a cultist for so many years, one can’t trust that they could change their heart so quickly. Although, Astor did want to use the Astral Mage for his own bidding, perhaps he could bribe the man.

When Sylpha mentioned about the mischievous Alice, whom he had previously known after a small donation she made for the rebuilding effort, Astor let out a laugh as he imagined the brat being hunted down by a horde of fire elementals and their servant. Not a good experience for the rest of the group he imagined.

“Well then, thanks for the interesting story and the great drink, stop by Dormont sometimes and I’ll return the favor with my collection. I am an avid collector of exquisite drinks after all. Plus, seeing that you’re a Yladian, you wouldn’t stick out like a sore thumb in the capital,” Astor said.

Finally, the ship has at last arrived at the final destination: The Pelham Spring. After Astor had confirmed that @Ilusa Nakhalee has yet to come back, he swooped her up from her seat and took her off the ship in a princess-carry, hoping she’d wake up soon as his stamina bar was draining hilariously quickly. Such was the life of a mage-class adventurer.
