As Terrasphere passed it's four month anniversary since the initial opening day, many players have found themselves logging in to meet the new world awaiting them. Despite whatever negative press surrounded the game, nothing seemed to dampen the ever growing popularity of the VRMMORPG. Players start up their games en masse to make their avatars, choose their names, and join in time to see the dawn of a new Season!

Brisshal stands as beautiful as ever and welcomes new players to the game. As the initial link start connects, the game spawns them in random places across a wide area of low hills and sparse forests. Players who connect at the same time will find themselves separated after they materialize in the world.

    Activities

Stay a while... At a brief glance, you see weak leveled creatures dot the landscape, ranging from rabbits, wolves, slimes, and unusually aggressive chickens. Even the weakest of beasts can be dangerous without a tutorial to teach, but help is all around in the form of fellow players! New players like you can freely explore the game's UI, try out their newfound power, and earn some starting money and experience as they fight their way through monsters and make friends for adventures to come.

Follow the road... Weaving through the hills and trees is a well-trodden path that winds away into the distance. You or those who are ready to move on can follow the small road to find a nearby village. Honeyhome Village awaits with open arms and a variety of shops to purchase beginner gear and weapons, as well as a small inn with cheap food and drink. Follow the path to head to Honeyhome!

  2. The UI was beautiful. Addison – er, Savannah – gazed in absolute wonder at the palm of her hand and the swirling buttons that dotted each gauntleted finger. She had to frown a bit as she wasn’t sure she had picked heavy armor as her starting gear, but whatever! Maybe that could be changed later. Clenching her fist, the entire thing melted away seamlessly and made her smile. Whoever was funding this entire adventure had spent some massive money on making this the very best it could possibly be.

Her attention turned to the long halberd in her other hand, the fingers gripping the shaft easy enough. It felt good in her hands and when she grasped it with two hands, she lost her balance for a moment but quickly recovered. Maybe this wasn’t the best weapon for a creature of such small height and minimal weight. But it had looked so cool in character creation! And the Faerin were freaking adorable how the hell could she NOT choose this race for her first character?

“Okay, cool, I got this,” she whispered to herself, taking a step back while trying to keep the weapon level. She lunged forward on impulse and nearly dropped her weapon entirely when another person began to materialize in front of her.

“Oh shit, I’m sorry!” she immediately exclaimed as the figure finished appeared. “Did I hit you? I didn’t mean to. I have absolutely no clue what I’m doing with this thing!”

  3. Originally, Baqir would've saddled up and gone straight for the nearest town but considering he was still plenty new here, he figured there wasn't much harm in getting some practice in. He'd appeared with very basic gear, just some minor medium cloth armor and a spear in his right hand. It wasn't much to begin with at all however he was optimistic that he could make it work. Turning the weapon in a short spin in his right hand, he began to get a gauge for it's weight and height proportionate to his own. The weapon was unwieldy in some aspects, in tight spaces it'd surely prove more of a hindrance than a benefit. Still, upon seeing a few wolves and rabbits in his line of sight, he turned the weapon to be grasped by both hands.

One hand held towards the front of the weapon and the other more towards the base, he lowered himself down slightly into a subtle crouch and lowered the weapon's spearhead towards the grass beneath his feet. "You've got this... feel through the motions..." He was doing what he could to empower himself emotionally, still quite nervous since this was his first effort towards any practice in combat. A sharp pivot and his body lunges forwards, taking into the motion of his intended direction. A wolf near him turns it's attention his way and bares it's fangs as it lunges in retaliation with a snapping motion of it's mouth.

"Oh shi-" He stomps his foot down onto the ground and spins his body, narrowing escaping the clenching force of the creature's bite. He interrupted his own attack so he didn't manage to pull it off successfully but at the very least he didn't get some damage done to him. Baqir jumps back to gain some distance again and sighs. "I'm rushing myself..." He shakes his head and readies his weapon once more. With another pivot he's launched at the wolf again, the creature taking the same action as before but now the spear-man was more prepared than last time.

His body curves around the bite and he curves his arms into a turn with his body, slamming his weapon's tip through the Wolf's side and severely damaging it, well about as severely as new player equipment could to one of these beasts. As their bodies separate from their strife, Baqir watches as it began to run off. He tries to keep up with it but then ended up tripping over an overgrown branch and stumbling forwards, rolling downhill and right into a smaller player that had been talking.

"Guh!" He exclaims with the sudden impact, rubbing his face. At least his weapon had been dislodged from his hand turning the tumble or else they might've had a shish-ka-bob to deal with! With a glance towards Savannah, the middle-aged looking man cracked a big smile and tilted his head to speak. "Sorry about that, was trying to chase after a wolf I was fighting, tripped like a big ol' goofball and slammed into ya." Seems that the shorter individual wasn't the only person prone to causing minor accidents in this area.

Standing up, the man brushes himself off first and then offered a gloved palm over towards Savannah. "Name's Baqir Ignatius, hope my rough start to meeting you doesn't put you off from giving me a chance to make it up to you." His words at least were said genuinely, he wasn't a bad guy, just new. Getting used to the wildlife terrain of this area was harder than it seemed! One can't always have the grace of an acrobat here and he definitely didn't have cat-like reflexes like a Felis.

  4. Maybe she…hadn’t poked this unknown person in the leg/shin/lower back like she had originally thought? She was preparing to ask again, maybe raise her voice or something to make sure they knew she was down here and yes, she was definitely talking to them, when a weight crashed into her back and bowled her over. Her halberd flew from her hands and clattered to the ground, landing with a soft whoof of dust and grass as it settled.

Groaning, she rubbed her small hand over her face and winced at the tender spot she at the center of her forehead. That was certainly going to bruise tomorrow. Gingerly, she rolled over and moved her body into a sitting position. Ugh, was this what it felt like to be trampled? No thank you, never again. Maybe picking one of the smaller races wasn’t such a good idea after all, no matter how cute they were in character creation. It would be no fun if people were running over her and kicking her around like a soccer ball.

Blinking blue-purple eyes up at the middle-aged male who was speaking to her, she canted her head to the right and offered a small smile in his direction.

“Just an accident!” she said in a cheerful voice, even though a few parts of her hurt and would probably bruise in the morning. “No blood so no problem. And someone has to catch those nasty wolves before they cause population destabilization.”

As soon as he offered a hand to her, her smile extended and she grasped his palm with hers. Using his extended hand, she heaved herself up to stand and brushed off her knees and sides as well. Of course, she was covered in grass stains now.

“Savannah Reed,” she chimed, “pleased to meet you Baqir. And you can totally help me find my weapon as I haven’t a clue where I dropped it when I fell.” A rosy coloration flickered in her cheeks, tanning the ivory-teal skin a salmon pink for a moment before fading. “I’m a newbie to this whole…thing. First day in the game really! And I’m thinking maybe I…well, I dunno, but maybe I chose the wrong weapon, you know? They all looked so cool at character creation but I didn’t, ah, lift any of them up or swing them around. The game called it a halberd…”

    @Baqir Ignatius

  5. It was definitely not elegant as far as most landings went, especially when you're barreling into someone so much shorter than you that you'd try not to laugh when measuring the differences between one another with a ruler. Okay that was a bit much but the size that the girl in front of him had was definitely something worth noting as 'cute' to say the least. Thankfully she didn't seem the least bit mad at him and wasn't too worse for wear save for maybe a bruise or two and one missing halberd that was lodged somewhere around the area near them. He was thankful that she'd taken his hand and he'd had the proper chance to help her back onto her feet and even give some minor brushing down onto her frame. It was the least that he could do considering he was the one who so rudely bumped into her!

"Accident or not, definitely still my problem, haha. Well I'm glad I didn't rattle you too harshly. I think the last thing I'd need here is some enemies angry at me for tumbling into them. I'm not the most fleet-footed so some accidents are more or less prone to occur around me~." He offered a little wink, a grin on his mouth to show that he could give out a joke or two. He wasn't a serious person, at least not without proper reason to be so the fact she took it in stride was a good sign to him that Savannah was a nice person.

"Well the pleasure's all mine Savannah. Hopefully they have something close to a laundry spot so you can get those grass stains taken care of. If I get the money to pay for a good cleaning, it'll be my treat." When she made mention about her weapon being knocked away from her and having gotten lost he frowned. "Oh dear, that simply won't do - no sir not at all." He rubbed the back of his head and began to turn his eyes around the forest area. "Lets certainly hope that it just got lodged in the side of a tree or something and not in the particularly nasty jowls of a beast."

As he began to pace around the area with the smaller girl in tow he spoke up. "Ah, chose a halberd eh? I fancied myself a spear, seems we both liked weapons with range." Turning around a tree he placed his hand on the bark, noticed a spider and promptly shook his hand to fling the insect away. "Eugh, just my luck, even in this world I can't escape the horror that is spiders." He shuddered a moment, thinking back to his time as Jenny and having to clean one of the bathrooms of the bar she worked at, if you've never seen a spider's nest before then pray to yourself that you never do. All the pesticides in the world couldn't make her go back into that bathroom when she saw hundreds of little baby spiders moving about on their mother's back. Oh god, he's about to throw up just thinking about the squirming little demons!

"Well I can't say I didn't feel the same way as you during my character creation. Something about wielding a weapon like a spear or halberd in the face of danger and just slaying enemies for the sake of glory has a certain charm to it." He strides along before noticing a small sparking glint, some sunlight reflecting off a blade. "Hm?" Upon further inspection one misplaced halberd could be seen sticking upside down into a clean-cut tree stump. Looking over towards Savannah he began laughing towards her and waving his hand over for her to come to his side. "Isn't this perfect?"

She might've not understood what it was he was getting at until he began to explain. He crouched down beside her and began some semblance of a narration voice. "Centuries ago, the mystic halberd known as Asterios existed, lodged in the carcass of the tree once known as Gaia, sacred tree of the forest. Some say that the weapon was made by the tree itself, to symbolize that whoever would pry the weapon free from the stump would be named defender of the forest and all of it's wildlife. Savior of the planet. Would it be that the small hero known as Savannah would become the savior this world so desperately required?"

He couldn't contain the smile on himself, nudging the shorter player with his elbow as he chuckled. "Well go on then, go retrieve your weapon. Don't let my little story get the better of ya, I swear I'm a better prankster than I am a story-teller." If there truly was such a thing as Asterios and this world had some kind of big destiny in store for Savannah, he'd find it amusing. He'd definitely want something like that to come to pass, if only so that he could be beside her and help her ride on the coat-tails of glory on some grandiose path of fate. Ah, but that's better left to works of fiction, right?

  6. And here she was! The most enthuasiastic nerd to date, Elizabeth! She logged on for the first time since she got the file from that weird email. She tried to search for the game on the internet beforehand to get some guides before diving but nope, nothing at all. It was pretty strange but hey, it was free! So she just booted it up, hoping for the best as she reached the character creation.

She was faced with such a varied amount of customization, it made her squeal like a child waking up to a christimas tree filled with presents. It gave her so many possibilites it made her lost at first. What race would she be? Masteries, color of her hair, height, HOW FLUFFY SHOULD HER TAIL BE?! Needless to say, she spent a lot of time deciding how she would look like.

After a while, she had finally stumbled upon a build that she liked. Attractive, exotic, but feral, rawr. After finally choosing all of it, she was all ready to venture, already thinking about the many possibilities to come, but she was faced with a final challenge. A final tab asking her to input something that made her tremble. She had to choose a name. OH NOOOOO!

After another hour of indecision and suffering, she finally stumbled upon a name that she liked! Blake Elgis... It had a nice ring to it in her mind, so she choosed it. After finally getting that done, she spawned... Into a experience more breath-taking than anything she could ever hope for. It looked so real, and vivid. It was shocking, but not more shocking than the sensations she felt right now. Especially because she had a tail now and ohgod it felt so weird, making her fall on her bum out of surprise.

She waved her tail around, looking back at it. She probably looked like a dumbass but she couldn't help it. It felt so foreign to have a whole new appendage glued to your bum, and you had control it too, unless you wouldn't be able to walk properly. And that's not even getting close to the cat ears. She put herself up with some struggling, before starting to walk. And by the god it looked dumb, but hey, she was learning! Somewhat.

@Mint Chip or anyone who wants to help this poor cat.

  7. After all that craziness went down in Astorea with that huge army invading, Gilgamesh was ready for another break and he decided to head to Honeyhome Village since he had heard many good things about it. It seemed that the newest players were to be spawned near there, so he he figured he could also be on the lookout to add more amusing people to his social circle, all so he could keep himself entertained to the fullest. So he wasted no time in going there and soon he was in the woodland area near Honeyhome Village where he could already spot two or three humanoid looking figures dotting the landscape, two of them seemingly female and one male. So he headed on over to them and soon, he was within sight range of female Felis. He called out to her in his usual rich baritone and hypnotically melodious voice

"Ahoy there, miss...I take it you're new around here? From the way you are struggling to walk, you must have just spawned here not too long ago..."

He said as he headed towards @Blake Elgis, his stride long and limber. He hoped that she would be able to entertain him quite a lot and looked forward to showing her the ropes if she so desired just as he had been shown the ropes by some veterans when he had first joined the game.

  8. Mint looked at the girl on the fallen on the floor, her face morphed into surprise and curiosity. Above her was a man with the oddest red visor he'd ever seen, strolling towards her with long strides. Mint squinted his eyes warily before he decided to move a bit closer. He didn't trust easily and watching a strange man offer assistance to a fallen woman was the shadiest thing he'd ever seen. Then again, he was raised in the slums of one of the more dubious districts of D.C. so he supposed to anything and everything he had known had been of suspicion one way or another.

As he listened, his worries grew a bit more prominent. He tried not to give it much attention. Confirmation bias and all that (he read about that phenomenon in a tabloid once at one of his music venues back in the day). Truth be told, the only thing he could pick at was the man's strange, stiff way of talking and that was a lackluster piece of evidence regarding the man's credibility.

Still, he couldn't even walk away as guilt roused through him at the very thought of it. He stood still in place, his face twisted into one of indecision, before he finally decided to step up. What could be the harm in approaching them? It wasn't as if he was accusing anyone of suspicious activity and then he could confirm that the ill feeling in his gut was probably because he had some Honeyed Clams in his sightseeing session in Druuk Island a few days back.

"Yo," Mint waved at the two with a forced lazy slouch and casual glance. "Need anything?"

Nice, Mint. Play it cool, Mint. You're doing great, Mint. Those were his thoughts and consciousness trying to reassure him in his mind. He regretted ever going back to the area. Sure, the food was nice. The amenities were great. The trouble, however, wasn't worth it.

    @Blake Elgis @Gilgamesh Ougami

  9. As Blake recovered from another faceplanting session, she noticed that she had attracted two fellows to her position, clearly a bit worried about her. Shiiiiii~ That made her fluster up in embarassment, trying to hide her face with one hand. Oh boy, this has already gone badly for her. But oh well, maybe they had more experience than her so it wasn't a bad shot to call for help.

She used a tree to stand up, before letting go of it and trying to walk. One step, two steps, three... Her tail swayed to the right, and her body followed shut, almost making her take another dive into the dirt. She groaned, before straighting herself up again, before talking.
"Indeed, indeed... I've logged just a few moments ago, and now i have this extra fluffy appendage that keeps knocking me on the grooooou~"And just as she mentioned that, her tail swayed left and stumbling to the left she went. By the gods, she was a bad case.

After putting herself on place again, she continued.
"So, i would really appreciate some help with that... And by the way, what is a red visor doing in a fantasy setting again?" She looked at Gil, clearly a bit confused by it. Was it only a cosmetic, or did it give him stats? She started poking it, before noticing the other person. He looked rather young, and holy jesus his hair was majestic! She had to make a remark on it. "... Your hair is pretty, hehe~" She then winked at him. As she did that, an instinct made her tail sway forwards and she went stumbling into the ground. Oh well, some things never change.

  10. There’s laundry in this game?! Savannah exclaimed and instead of sounding as if she were terrified of the idea, she seemed to be excited at the prospect. Chalk it up to hours and hours of TheSims and the clean sheets moodlet.

As they began to walk to look for her weapon, Vannah found herself nodding to his words. It was the idea of having a small character and wielding a lengthy weapon that appealed to her. She could deflect with both ends of the weapon as well as hit, if she saw an opening, and still be out of range of people attackers. She just didn’t expect the damn thing to weigh so much.

Plus, the end game halberd looked freaking amazing.

She found it hard to walk as he told the legend of Asterios. Frequently, she would trip over her feet while her imagination ran wild with the picture of her spinning and parrying and fighting with such a glorious weapon. Savior of the planet, huh? What a cool title. Definitely something she wanted to strive for.

Is that actual ingame lore? she asked, rubbing her hands together. If so, I’m going to find me that halberd. I bet it’s beautiful…and gigantic. Probably heavy as well if her newbie halberd was anything to go by.

Finally, they stumbled upon the damned thing, stuck in a trunk none the less. Ugh. She couldn’t help placing her face in her palm and scrubbing her cheeks. She hadn’t placed many skill points into strength, favoring her constitution score over basically everything else. Giving Baqir a sidelong glance, she cleared her throat.

I, uh, might need some help. I’m not that strong.

Still, she strode forward and clambered onto the stumb so that she had a foot on each side of the weapon. She grasped the pole with two hands and exhaled through her nose, the low whistle of air leaving her nasal cavity sounding almost musical in an odd way. Inhaling, she grabbed the weapon and began to pull, the muscles in her shoulders and arms straining as she dug her heels into the stump and struggled against freeing her choice weapon. Nothing happened. She tried again, a tiny bead of sweat sliding down the side of her face as she continued to strain and struggle, the halberd not moving an inch.

Panting, she looked at Baqir again. Hopefully Asterios is in a tree stump that is slightly more rotted than this one.

    @Baqir Ignatius

  11. Gilgamesh was about to reply to the apparently accident-prone female Felis before him when he heard a male voice call out to the two of them. So he turned his head slightly in the direction of the voice and saw a male player whom he presumed was the owner of the voice he had just heard mere moments ago. The male was waving at them, so he waved back, trying to hold his amusement in at seeing how the male was trying so hard to look nonchalant. He called out to the male

"Nothing much, sir...I just happened upon this young lady and am trying to teach her the ways of the Felis body...she appears to have trouble with handling her tail and walking on her cat legs, so I figured since I had to learn the hard way, I would save her the troublesome hassle of doing the same..."

He then beckoned the male towards them if he wished to approach and then turned back just in time to witness the female Felis stumble and fall again and then address him. So he replied back, after wincing upon seeing her hit the ground for what seemed like the umpteenth time since he had first laid eyes on her

"Wow, lady...you don't just seem new to this particular game, but to VRMMOs in general...but hey I had to learn the hard way, so might as well save you that same hassle...I don't blame you though, a Felis body can be tricky to master the controls of..."

He was about to continue, but he noticed she was poking at his red visor-like mask, so he was not sure what to do in response. Just then she began yet another tumble to the ground, so he figured he should save the lady from another nasty fall. To that end, he caught her just before she hit the ground and helped stabilize her with his two powerful arms as crutches, wondering just how new she was to VR gaming.

  12. "I see."

Mint inwardly died inside. Maybe he shouldn't have jumped to conclusions and decided that the awfully tall man had meant much harm. Earnestness radiated off of him and the girl didn't look like she was in any immediate or future danger whatsoever. He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly and took a step back. This was what embarrassment felt like. He thought he'd forgotten all about this emotion soon after he started his entire rebellious phase in high school. Shame's for losers, he remembers saying, and he blanches at the memory. If he remembered correctly, he had went to school in only his boxers that day on a dare and, from then on, he swore to himself that he'd never feel shame for the cringey things he did ever again. Obviously, he had failed himself on that promise.

Well, he felt that way until @Blake Elgis had directed his attention back towards his meticulously-groomed hair (both in-game and in real life) and he couldn't help but feel the tiniest bit proud over the excellent state of his plumage. "Haha, thanks!" he grinned, chest puffing up as he gave a pat to his pigtail. "Au naturale! I make my own shampoo and conditioner out of maple syrup, sage, jojoba seeds, rosemary, coconut oil, and some other groovy stuff!"

And, after finally understanding that @Gilgamesh Ougami was, in fact, not a sexual predator, Mint decided it was the time to get his moves on. "So," Mint scuttled closer to the heterosexual man. He gave his eyebrows a wiggle as he closed the distance between them. "She's right, you know...you have a really nice visor...can't wait to see what's underneath."

    He licked his lips.

  13. Gilgamesh had been focusing his attention on @Blake Elgis and had been engrossed in helping her stand up straight without taking a dive to the ground every few seconds when he saw @Mint Chip come way closer to him than he was comfortable with and do what seemed to be like an attempt at flirting with him. Needless to say, he was taken aback by the gesture since he was, at heart, a fairly traditional man who only recognized relations between the natural genders, aka male and female. However, being the modern, cosmopolitan man that he also was, he had learned over his 24 years of existence to tolerate the other orientations. To that end, he decided to reply in what he hoped was a polite form while also nipping the man's interest in him in the bud, as it were

"My my, someone is quite forward with himself...good sir, I am flattered by your advance, but let me stop you right here...while I respect the fact that you are entitled to your own preferences, whatever they may be, I have no interest in other men, in any sense of the word...my orientation is 300% heterosexual, if you must know...no offense meant, of course."

He finished and his thunderous baritone, but yet hypnotically melodious voice resounded through the airspace between him, @Mint Chip, and @Blake Elgis for a brief few milliseconds before fading away into silence. He then stepped back just a little and added a last note

"Thanks for the compliment though, I appreciate it very much. My name is Gilgamesh Ougami, and it's very nice to meet the both of you. Here is to our future adventures in this VR world...and feel free to ask me for help anytime, and I will do my best to help you out as much as I can."

He turned slightly to @Blake Elgis and after taking her hand in his own, he laid a butterfly kiss on the back to emphasize his point and his greeting to her. After that, he turned his head to @Mint Chip and gave him a Shakespearean bow as was his usual tendency to do so when meeting new people.

  14. He did his own shampoo?! Now that's something she needed to learn, that hair was just too majestic for her to not ask for the recipe. But now she needed to focus on getting up and -oh! That was happening right in front of her. Apparently Mr. Perfect Hair swinged that way, and now he was flirting with the person that just saved her from a face dive into the ground. Oh right, she didn't even thank him for doing that! And she was a complete stranger to him, so he had next to no reason to do so. Yet, she was very grateful that he did. Her fur was dirty enough. But hey, lets give the two gentleman time do get acquinted.

After the most polite rejection she had ever saw, she was pleasantly surprised with the X-men's Cyclops wannabe giving her a kiss on the cheek. Being british, she knew these formalities very well, but it was still nice to receive them once in a while. Blushing softly from cheek to cheek, she used her skirt to do a very subtle curtsy to Gilgamesh, finding it to be the best response to such a gentleman.

Now, she clenched her fist tightly, before lightly opening it up. The UI popped in front of her. It appeared as she was humming while alocating masteries. Fun. Her tail wagged from a side to the other, and so did her head. After she was done with that, she looked at a chicken on the ground, before ducking and uppercutting the bird right into the sky. Progress baby! After that, she went back to Mint Chip.

"So, what is your goal on this game? Be strong, get a lot of exotic weapons, be rich... There are many possibilities, you know?"
    @Gilgamesh Ougami @Mint Chip

  15. Veradia flexed her fingers experimentally, her expression unsure as she flashed into existence within a grove of trees in the middle of what seemed to be a remarkably large forest. Unencumbered, long green hair flowed past her shoulders and chest to her waist. Her body was remarkably curvy, just as she selected in this new world. From a heart-shaped, small face, violet eyes shone with a curious light.

A brief frown on her face, Veradia glanced around with an unsure expression. What should she do now? Everything was so... so... strange. With it being her first video game and MMO, the green-haired avatar wasn't sure what she should do. Pursing her lips, she clenched and unclenched the fists that her long-fingered hands had formed into. What should she do? Biting her lip, Veradia faced the forest and the road in front of her.

"H-hello?" her light, airy voice was loud in the silence that rumbled around her. "Is there anyone around here?" the green-haired elf flushed slightly at her foolishness, taking an uncertain step in front of her and marveling at all the sensations that enveloped her. Veradia let out a confused, uncertain whine as she stared around her.

    What should she do now?
