Neldo shook his head. "There is a party option, but partying with you means we would likely split experience. Essentially, you'd be my own ball and chain. I would be doing extra work for less personal advancement." Neldo began to turn away but added, "If you were able to help in some way it would be different, I'm sorry." Neldo lofted his coal into the air, which reignited and began to orbit him at shoulder height slowly. He was beginning to get the hang of this magic system, and felt he could reach out and attempt basic magic that all spell casters should be able to do. Was it a hunch, or some intuitive system? He held out his open hand and a fist sized rock wobbled on the ground. A moment later it lifted free of gravity and gracefully landed in his hand. He grinned, and used a baseball pitchers wind up before hurtling the stone through the back of what he assumed was a slime's head. It left an oozy dripping hole, but the creature did begin to reverse direction and slimed it's way towards Neldo.
Well. It was worth a try? Aselia herself wouldn't have been too keen on getting used like that either unless the company in question provided to be entertaining enough.
