Excellent... Tenebris was genuinely enjoying herself in the fight, so death and agony brought joy to her, whether they came from friends or foes. As the pink-haired girl continued to spout those seemingly psychotic rants, Saber's cold calculating mind saw the pattern in between those deranged words. Each time someone - or something - got hurt, she exuded joy. Now Saber just had to make sure the ones getting hurt most were the bugs.

The Dark Heart's arcane arrows exterminated yet another pest, leaving only two now. If they kept this up, victory was a distinct possibility. However, the overgrown pests certainly didn't make things easy as they performed an attack never done before. "Gaaah!" The needles, shaped from hardened blood, possessed enough force to pierce through Saber's luminous bulwark, striking at her directly. "Nnngh...!" The Justicar hissed as she was impaled in two places at once, the meager quality of her armor failing under the pinpoint pressure.

"Gah-..." Fresh blood poured from the wounds as soon as the needles were removed. Wincing, Saber tried to punish one of the bugs as she swung her azure longsword, only to fumble due to her wounds and completely missed her target. "Ha..." She hated to admit it but they had to exterminate the remaining two bugs soon or her endurance would fail her. However, this what Tenebris loved, wasn't it? To see her 'best friend' suffer.

The 'curing' process was going great!

Tenebirs's rampage slowed down for a moment as her body's limits started to catch up with her. Even if the rose had changed Magi's approach to combat, making her switch many concepts into distorted mockeries of her original ideals.Which increased her ability to perform with far less restraints... Her body was still that of Magi Heart, a girl who lacked a great deal of experience still. In fact it was impressive alone just how much Tenebris pushed the old limits to perform her attacks with such relentless aggression... however it had it's problems.

The young girl physically could not handle the strain. Even with the game interface enhancing her avatar's ability over her real life self. Real life self... that was even more vague to her than Magi Heart. She was some girl, with a dog or something. It barely mattered to her. Her family probably needed to be saved as much as these bugs did. So it was sad that she couldn't remember how to log out and go give them back all the fake love they gave her with the real thing! The option was not anywhere to click though and Tenebris did not care enough to focus on that. There were more important and funner things to do!

Another bug fell into a dead husk. Yay! This game was such a... urgh... oooh ...

"*Gasp* See that? Hehe... I'm killing and curing, and loving... hehe... *wheeze*. Ooooh wowzers. Think I'm breaking myself a little❤! Yaaaay.... kewl.... "

Tenebris spun with glee and lost balance. Her heart, her aching heart was going a so fast! Such a rush!

".....Hehehehe! Saber, I might kill myself from fun! I don't think I ever am logging out... never *cough* ever!"

She stopped and bent over for a second. Her face facing the ground, twin tails hanging limply by her head. Her breathing was heavy. Was she this out of shape? Seriously? She couldn't have her fun because she was not able to keep up with herself? That was... so... damn... awesome! Her face lifted up and she straightened herself as she shook her head hard with a laugh. Just then the bugs attacked Saber with bloody looking pointy things... Tenebris was not paying much attention right now. Her head was spinning. Then her focus returned as she saw her cold friend's blood hit the cave floor. Saber... Eldhi was bleeding! BLEEDING❤!

"E-Eldhi... are you hurt? You're hurting? Eldhi! That's so..... so... hehehe.... don't suffer without my help❤! Okies? Don't die on me❤! Not from someone else! That isn't how this is supposed to be!"

Her eyes looked upon the insects that were making her friend bleed, someone she loved very much. They were taking her away to another place now, and not to the same place Tenebris would. The entire feeling would be different! Nuuuu! Dumb bugs, it was fine to hurt another and spread grief yeah... and Tenebris appreciated the love...right... but it was not okay... or was it okay... to... to... URGH! She broke into a fast sprint her body pushing itself and using the pain and stress of pushing too far as further power. The more she suffered the better! It was her power at this point.

Leaping onto a bug's back. She pointed Gertrud into it and started to fire repeatedly with arrows. The blood sprayed out onto her as she continued without halt.

"You need to be saved first buggie❤... you can't save Eldhi for meeeeee... that's mean! Cure, cure, cure, cure....!"

It would seem that Tenebris was more unstable than some may have at first thought...

The bugs quickly began to drain Saber's blood as it came from her body. They moved in a strange and excited way with their legs as if enjoying the blood meal. Then came the leap of Tenebris until one's back. It began to buckle and swing it's limbs in a frenzy to remove the human. At first it seemed hopeless but then the bug swung it's antennae back at the girl. Making clean hits to her as she continued firing. The other remaining bug began to glow red again as if the desire to feed more was surpassing any wish to assist it's brethren.

"..." The situation did not look good for the pair as the Justicar noticed Tenebris' growing exhaustion. Though her tone was still as morbidly cheerful as ever, her wheezing and out-of-breath gasps were enough signs of her depleting energy. There only two giant bugs left but they had been empowered from the spilled blood around them, whether their slain kin or Saber's.

"Kuh..." Eldhi's luminous bulwark crumbled from the last attack, her limbs shaky from all the exertion and wounds. She took a deep breath, pain throbbing from her chest. She could try healing herself but the empowered insects would just capitalize on that, it'd do her more harm than good if she let her guard down even for a second. The Justicar wouldn't give up until the last drop of blood left her veins but... she couldn't deny her vision was blurring away, it became increasingly hard to keep her consciousness due to bleeding out. However, it wouldn't take a genius to see that passing out was the same as resigning herself to be bug food.

"Ha-... wha-?!" Then Tenebris did the unthinkable, yes, even for a lunatic like her. The pink-haired girl forsook her safe distance and charged in, literally mounting one of the insects, all the while squealing and giggling how she wouldn't allow anyone else to harm Saber. Only she held the 'right'. Heh, flattering but... Tenebris, she wasn't built for this! Her expertise lay in ranged attacks and peppering the enemy from a distance! She was jeopardizing their already shaky situation!

"Tenebris, stay back!" Saber raised her blade, trying her best to protect her 'friend'. No, she mustn't perish here, the girl was a Priority Level 10, a valuable treasure for Vermillion. If she failed the test by dying, the Crimson Noble would only consume her. The Justicar knew Mistress wasn't the best person around to judge someone's worth, especially if they failed her.

"Ah-?!" Blood... blood... Tenebris, she was covered in blood, her blood mixing with the ones sprayed on her. The damned vermin... it attacked her! It hurt her! How dare a vermin even lay its cursed antennas at her friend... the friend she tried so hard to awaken, to bring into the truth, to grow into her true heroine potential. No... Saber wasn't going to let some pest ruin all of her efforts! She must protect Tenebris, it was imperative for her to do so!

    Protect, protect! Exterminate... EXTERMINATE!!

"Aaaaaaaaaargh!!" With a bestial roar, the golden shine usually covering her azure blade spread throughout her whole body. Saber's form exploded in a scorching golden light, blinding and harsh, much like a miniature sun. Her red eyes widened in pure rage, pupils narrowing into demonic slits.

"Rrraaaaagh!!!" The Justicar's stoicism crumbled under the intense pressure of her zealous rage, she must protect her friend! To do so, each and every single creature that wasn't Tenebris must die!

"Cure, cure, cure, urgh.... cure...hehe... urgh.... hurts... urgh..."

The bug continued to whip her in the face and arms as she attacked. The pain and agony... it was so incredibly awesome! Her black dress was fitting for this new desire. The blood only truly noticeable on her face and bare skin. The girls eyes were staring as all she could think about was saving this poor insect and then another and another and... All the while her health dropped with each blow.

    "Aaaaaaaaaargh!!"

Sabers cry broke Tenebris out for her grief filled 'zone'. She finally realized that if she did not move... she would probably die. While that was kewl and all, it would mean that she screwed up the training and she would have left Saber to die to these bugs instead of properly saving all of them. Using the little bit of self control the distorted heroine had left. Tenebris leaped off the the bug with a back flip and showered it with a rain of arrows before hitting the ground and immediately falling to one knee. Her small body was really breaking down here. Damn it! This wasn't going to be any fun if the fighting stopped or she went unconscious or something! Her red eyes only somewhat less insane looked at Saber's own display of aggression now. Woah... seriously, kewl beans. The Dark Heart did not know the knight had anything like that left in her... or ever had that to begin with.

"...Gee whiz... that grief! Hehe....hehehe... getting into it Saber? Wooo! I'll help too!"

Saber... Eldhi really did care a lot for her didn't she? For someone who vampy changed into a robot or something, there was a lot of grief stored up in that cold face! Tenebris almost felt renewed just from looking at her. Even if physically she was pretty spent. Tenebris lifted back to her feet and kissing her arrow tip with a smirk on her cute blood stained face, she wobbled a little, resuming the assault. In her current state, Tenebris Cordis was almost a berserker without having such a mastery. Her desire to give and receive suffering continuing with impossible and unrestricted obsession....

Between the continued assault of Tenebris and the head on rampage of berserk Saber. Yet another insect fell into bloody chopped bits upon the crimson rocks. The last remaining insect quickly absorbed the blood and began to bloat from all of the feeding. It began to rupture slightly but it was certainly gaining even more power. The insect began to throb. It made no attempts to attack. It's body shrinking and expanding rapidly, filled with the blood of Saber and it's kin.

Mail, kill, burn! MAIM, KILL, BURN!! Saber's shining longsword quaked with explosive divine fury. Her limbs moving with sheer speed and abandon as all the pain she had accumulated so far meant nothing. Her vision was tinted red, red as her irises as her mind locked into a single purpose, protect Tenebris at all cost.

"Hyarrrgh!" With a bestial roar, she plunged her sword into one of the bugs shortly after Dark Heart's purple arrows struck its shell. The Judicator served to open the cracks on its damaged shell as the overgrown insect's exoskeleton split open, spilling its tainted blood everywhere. The smell of cooked flesh joined it as Saber pulled back her blade, the thing was dead and done, it was of no longer a consequence to her. However, she was not done yet. One foe remained, a villain she must defeat with her righteous fury!

"Die!" Saber, steam practically hissing through her gritting teeth as the holy light continued to brim from every inch of her body, swung wildly at the last remaining insect. The enraged Justicar didn't seem to notice, nor care about its bloating body. Good, the bigger it was, the harder it'd fall. "Die, die, dieeee!!" Bashing the last vermin standing, the berserker kept bashing it, she wouldn't stop until it stopped moving.

"Yeeeeeeah! Hehehe... Saber I like you excited❤ ! Save some grief for me okies?!"

The Tenebris said having slowed down even more, even with her grief filled adrenaline going a hundred miles a hour. Her body was wracked from her own aggression and the furious whipping of the bug earlier. She was not the useless Magi Heart anymore though. Never again would she be brought down by pain and suffering, the things everyone else enjoyed and indulged in so much with this awesomesauce game! No... instead it would fuel her and be her source of power. Gertrud began to glow from the amount of stress and agony here. The cursed weapon could feel her once pure heart writhing in agony from the actions here. Yet it had the reverse effect on the mind of the distorted girl. The pain was her joy.

As the pain in her hands and arms grew. Tenebris trembled as she pulled back the bow string for perhaps the hundredth time here. Her magic arrows were endless but... her EN was not. Count Rosy was pretty mean. To put them through this and call it training.. gee whiz, seriously? It was almost like... almost like she knew exactly the kind of thing Tenebris wanted! The Dark Heart knew now that it was worth sticking it out for a while at least with this vampire thingy. Tenebris may find a better way to get what she seeked.. but until then this was terribly fine!

Previously, Tenebris was like a Norforvan Blood Hound, powerful but wild, only barely controlled by the Justicar through her figurative leash. Now, it was quite the opposite as the Dark Heart's words were the ones spurring the enraged knight. Yes, Saber heard her, her pink-haired friend's voice, cheering her on. Good, she was still alive, still fine, and Saber would do everything in her power to keep in that way!

"Ngraaah!! With Saber's descent into infuriated madness, the battle lost any form of order, devolving fully into one chaotic mess of antennas, shining sword, and arcane arrows. What grace and poise reflected by the knight was replaced by the explosive furor. She sliced, stabbed, and diced, tainted blood spraying onto her armored form, joining in with her own.

"Grrr!" Gripping the azure longsword with both hands, Saber raised the oversized - for her rather petite stature - weapon high above her head, "Hraagh!" then swung down in a mighty cleave! She struck the engorged and cracked shell of the last remaining bug. It burst, literally, as the insect unleashed a powerful kinetic force along with blood and guts, striking the immediate area around it. It didn't reach Tenebris but Saber wasn't so fortunate.

"Guh-?!" The Justicar was thrown back a good few feet, landing unceremoniously on her back, her armor clanking and the crystalline longsword clattering beside her. "Nnngh..." That last desperate attack by the bug seemed enough to take the knight out of commission. The rage coating her eyes faded away, replaced by extreme fatigue. Her eyelids fluttered between opening and closing. All of her limbs felt as if they were made of jelly. However, the last bug was dead so... that meant her duty was done, right? She had protected her friend to the best of her abilities.

    ...no.

She still had a duty to perform, a goal to achieve, a mission to accomplish. Mistress sent them both here to be stronger, be a proper treasure, and until every part of her was disintegrated into dust, she would never give up. (Activates Second Wind)

Pushing through her fatigue and mental fog through sheer zealous determination, the white-haired knight picked herself back up. Though slightly shaking, her gaze was resolute. Covered in mixed blood and bug remains, Eldhi wiped her face then walked over to her sword. "We are done here." She announced to Tenebris after sheathing the blade on its sheath strapped on her back. She was about to walk away, expecting the dark magical girl to follow her but midway, the Justicar stopped.

"You're able to continue, aren't you?" She glanced at her partner, "Or do you require rest first?' Behind that stoic face, behind those ruthless crimson gaze, some form of deeply buried compassion shone through.

All Targets eliminated, no rolling needed.

  4. img Tenebris aimed her bow at the air for a few seconds unblinking and breathing hard with a disturbed smile across her face. Blood was all over her and her generally cute hair cut was matted with bug guts. This was just day one of this stuff? Tenebris lowered her bow as her brain started to work normally, or as normal as it was at this point. She unequipped Gertrud and fell to ground coughing and laughing with a strangely biter sweet joy. This was the best experience ever! The big spider lady, the wars, the drowning, the various unfair realities... even the murder of her old self at the hands of her friend. All of it was great memories that were fading to black. This? This was the single most fun thing Tenebris had done so far! Better than taking all of those poor kids to heaven!

"....*gasp*... w-we are done? The buggies... we saved the buggies! They are so happy now... so happy with their grief! We are covered in blood... that we made. I made others feel good! Yaaaaaay.... hehehe... I need to help Eldhi❤ ! Hehe....hehehehe...."

She crawled over to the body of the knight. Beaten and battered, barely conscious... Eldhi had been given so much love... and Tenebris helped her!

"Stabalots... how's that *cough* for justice❤ ? Isn't this better for me? *Snicker* Better for you? This is how it works... how everything works. I'm sorry you had to deal with me so dumb before. Now... I'll help you and show you how fun it feels to die in this game! I-its really lifelike... It's so scary... so warm when your soul feels like it's ripping from your body... and the number... the number is pretty neat too! So... let me send you off...to Heaven❤..... like a good f-friend should."

Her heart, it was in such pain even after the battle? This was really nice... but why was it hurting worse looking at Eldhi? Was just looking at the knight bring her grief? Kewl beans! Anyway, it was time to give her back the favor she gave Tenerbis. A trip through death will be just the thing! So much love and mercy! Be free Eldhi!

"Magi❤ is going to cure you now...much better than before..."

Before the girl could end the others life for good, Saber's eyes opened! Her health suddenly showed it was going back up! Wait... nuuuuuuuu! Why?! Cruddy!

"Y-your alive? Is it some kind of buff thingy? ...Awwwwww cruddyyyyy. I can't save you if you aren't ready yet!"

The Dark Heart instead of killing, just stared with a odd awkward look at the knight that almost died for her. She was not sure what the pain in her heart was anymore. Was this good or bad? The girl was so corrupted by her grief that often it was just that alone that drove her. Was there something else left? Other than grief and helping others through it? Unrealistic Magi Heart crap probably....

Tenebris stood up when Saber did. Looking up at her and looking much less wild now that things settled down. The Justicar... eh what a title, justice bleh, asked if she needed rest. Wowzers did she just say that?

"Eh... um. I guess I can't break and die yet can I? I could use a break yeah... sure Eldhi. Can't have too much of a good thing or it'll make the grief we have later not as fun, right? *Snicker*"

No matter how much the girl desired to suffer, there was a point where she had to preserve her health. Just for the sake of being able to enjoy the game more later. The Dark Heart had been using Saber's old name purely for spite and mockery of her new style... but this time it had come out a little bit differently.
