Cycle 1: Dead of Night
D’vangelline and her cavalry has been waiting at a small encampment a mile away from Dormont. The pathfinder she had sent to track down the location of a few days ago was rather late. They were supposed to meet before sundown, but the sun had set and the stars have started to set a contrast against the steadily darkening sky. While her patience was wearing thin, she paced around the small fire one of her men had started. There was a hodgepodge of adventurers who had offered to travel with her as well. But for the time being, everyone had to wait.
Given that her mounted unit would have been able to quickly charge through Astorea and get onto the mountain, the truth was that horses cannot traverse the mountainous region, which meant that her cavalry would have been exposed to all sort of danger while they are on foot. Since Astor was the King of the players, she figured she could employ their help to get to the prison and rescuing their people in one piece before the invasion begins.

D'vangelline de Falder
Noticing that
@Alonso Thorlion was sitting by the flame, the Princess walked up to the bear of a man and settled down next to his large frame.
"Lord Alonso, what is your relationship with King Astor? What do you think he is like? I seek to negotiate with your King as I heard that he was a great but very headstrong warrior. Do you think our nations could become allies in the future? In Falderen right now, our people are very fearful of your kind and some, especially those who are loyal to my father demonizes your kind, as especially your King."
D’vangelline’s questions were fragmented and put together rather strangely. To many people, it seemed as though the Princess was lost in thoughts, and perhaps grown doubtful of her abilities a little. The truth simply was that she was burdened with a lot of responsibilities and was taking an incredibly large risk in many people’s eyes, bearing the title of a traitor to save an enemy King, suspected by those she wanted to help, and scorned by those she hope to save. One could only wonder why she simply didn’t lead these headless chickens into a ditch and let them drown in their hubris.

Scout
A few minutes after their brief exchange, a rider cut through the plain before dismounted rather haphazardly, leaving one of the knights to take care of it while he ran up the hill until he reached the Princess.
The man was clearly out of breaths and was slumped over with his hands on his knees, attempting to resupply his lungs with air before he looked up to the Princess and disclosed information that she has been desperately waiting for.
“Your highness, we’ve found the compound where the Astorean King and his task force are imprisoned, but there’s not a lot of time left before your father will begin his invasion. In order to quickly get there, we are going to have to get to the border of Astorea, go through the Crystalized Zalra and then climb the mountain from the northern side. The mountain passages have been collapsed so we can’t even go through there anymore.
From what Erik has seen, we are going to have to fight our way through the mountain once we get to the top in order to get to the prison. If not the Crystalized Zalra route, we’ll have to penetrate the collapsed passages somehow, which will take a lot of time. What should we do?”

D'vangelline de Falder
The Princess was rather concerned about the information she had heard. While the Crystalized Zalra was the quickest way to go north or to bypass the collapsed passage, it was threatening in ways most people can’t comprehend. However, the Princess realized that she has an entourage of people to help her with the mission now, so she was willing to take a risk.
"Very well, I will take the risk. Can you ride ahead and lead us through the fastest route out of here?” D’vangelline asked the scout, who quickly nodded as he immediately headed off after he ripped a water pouch right out of another person’s hand and greedily guzzling down the refreshing water.
Turning to one of her Knights and @Alonso Thorlion, she said, “Inform the troop and the entourage, get the horses and wagons ready. We’re heading to the Northeast border. It’s going to be a long journey."
After the notice, the entourage rushes to finish up their preparation as they started heading out. Once all of the horses are fed and properly attached to a wagon, the group began moving out. The comprehensive journey mostly stayed on the road leading Northeast toward the Crystallized Zalra. It was dead in the night now, most players have gotten on a wagon and either interact with one another or curling up to sleep. It was incredibly cold that night as the strong wind slowed the group down a fair bit.
The road toward the destination would take at least a day or two. For players new to the area, it was a great chance to take screenshot of the scenic route. Although the journey remained quiet for this moment, danger seems to be lurking ahead...
Rolling: All rolls are tracked to determine the passive speed at which the entourage is traveling. This number is being tracked privately by me to determine how much time passes each cycle. High number means the entourage is traveling faster, while a low number means you are somehow slowing it down. Before you post, you must roll here.
- Modifier: Only for Mobility or Riding: +5 per mastery tier (excluding beginner); +10 if mastered. If you had a mount, you may ride on it and add an extra +10 to your roll.
- Tally ### is where you add your Total (roll+mod) to the last number you saw, so you can keep a running tally.
Direction Poll: All players will be voting on what paths the entourage takes via a poll (majority rules). The events differ depending on the path chosen. After you post, you cast your vote on the direction poll.
Wagon: There are currently SIX (6) wagons altogether; you generally will be interacting with people in your wagon.
- You may ride on your mount if you preferred.
- There is a limit of 6 people in a wagon.
Rules
- You have up to 2 posts per cycle regardless of how many characters you have in the event. Your posts must be separated by one other post.

- If you are interacting with a character, tag their name: @Name
- Max word count of 500 words, including the OOC stuff. Do not go over.
