  3. Slightly Broken Right Arm (Condition) Your right arm is usable but accompanied by a lot of pain.
Magically Sapped (Debuff) Your magic mastery is halved.

The dreadful pain seemed to dissipate with a silent POP, quickly replaced with the soothing magic working its way through her broken limb. Her arm felt... better. She tried to squeeze her hand into a fist, hissing and tearing up at the pain that seemed to shoot straight to her spine, but the fist had been formed regardless. She could use her arm!

Kyupin pulled her ear away from the wall, too distracted by the sounds of Gwyn and Corvella 'breaking' through the cell wall. Surely it wasn't as loud as it felt? Still, they managed to get all the way through with nary an interruption, so Kyupin would take the blessing as it was.

Shifting around, Kyupin grabbed one of the loose stones from the wall and clutched it in her left hand, squeezing it firmly.

She would've used her right, but it was better to let Ashiore heal with minimal trouble, and there was nothing she could do to help Gwyn or Corvella anyways. So with a muted sigh, Kyupin tucked close to the healer. This close to the back of the cell, she might as well listen for any further clues.

They would need all the information they could get.

Action: Take a loose stone from the disassembled wall in her left hand, and then continue listening at the back wall while Ashiore heals.

@Corvella You checked the barred door, it was open, but from your tiny movement, you realized that the door was heavily jammed and will open, but either make a not of noise in the process or just going to collapse onto the floor and alert every guards in the area.

@Ashiore Evretto Your heal is not particularly big, this time around. It seemed while the magically sapped condition remains on you, you have a hard time with magical consistency. You heal Kyupin for 3HP

@Gwyn ap Herne You heavy usage of the investigation mode is starting to stress your vision and sapping your energy. Lose 5EN.

@Kyupin Felnya You now have an improvised weapon, though, its utility will not be known until combat happens.

Looking at your UI clock, it won't be too long until the guard with the torch head toward you. What more there appeared to be some scratches on the wall. It reads:

"No, no, no, that's how they get you, they drag you down the hall and then turn right and then a left into a big chamber where they roll knives against your heels and flay your skin to get you to spill your guts, but you won't, no no, for the motherland, please save me, no more."

Kyupin shivered at the words scratched into the wall, fear sinking in her gut. Her mind whirled, trying to make sense of the information. Straight, right, then left? It had been difficult to pay attention, but Kyupin still remembered the steps they'd taken to bring her to the cell. "But, I was..." Straight, right, left, left. So in reverse, "...right, right, left, and then straight?" Her arm twinged as if recalling the pain they'd inflicted on her earlier.

Instinctively, she found herself edging towards the pile of stones, wanting to be closer to a source of ammunition if it all came down to a fight.

"We have to get out of here and find Astor. If it's the same room as earlier then I know the way." But did she really? The words in the wall said otherwise.

"I mean... I think I know the way?"

Action: Stand near the pile of rocks. Will probably try and throw them if a fight starts.

The news about the door in the other cell being difficult to open without drawing attention was unwelcome. Heart sinking at the thought that maybe escape was much further away than she had thought, Ashiore swallowed and settled back. "Yeah, we will," she responded to Kyupin, though she hopes that most of her uncertainty didn't come across in her voice. "If you think you know where the room is, I trust you. Maybe there's another one? But that still won't be the one that King Astor is in."

Racking her brains to come up with something they could try, her gaze landed on the pile of loose dirt that Gwyn had raked out of the wall when trying to figure out what was wrong with it. Maybe...

Communicating her plan to the rest of the team, she waited for the guard to pass. She felt her heartbeat in her throat as the footsteps drew closer and closer. Hopefully Corvella got an illusion up in time to prevent the guard from suspecting that anything was wrong.

After the guard passed and the footsteps faded down the corridor, she shuffled closer to the pile. Placing her hands on the dirt, Ashiore concentrated and coaxed a thin pale vine into being. This would be delicate work, so she took it slow. Lengthen the vine... Extend it slowly to the lock until it made its way into the keyhole... Now push on the pins...

If it worked, and she managed to unlock the door, she quickly let her companions know. No way would she want to be stuck in here for any longer than they had to. And before they left the cell, she grabbed a bunch of dirt to bring along. If she needed to grow some plants again, then it would come in handy later on.

Action: Wait until the guard passes by the cell and is out of sight. Then use the sand and dirt from the crumbled wall to grow a thin vine. Direct it to the lock to try and pick it. If successful, grabbing handfuls of dirt to bring along.

The light of her Investigation Mode faded, as did her hopes for their little plan, as she watched Corvella tug at the door. The soft grinding made it obvious. It was jammed, stuck, unlocked, and useless. A beautiful medley of denied opportunities. Unless of course, they wanted to grab the bars by both hands each and throw the entire damn door into their dear guardian. It would make noise though. Any prison guard was likely to be wearing metal armor, save the mages, and that'd make just as much of a clatter as hitting the floor would otherwise. They were stuck once more. Only now they had dug a fucking tunnel through and had to clean up before anyone wised up. Fuck.

"Corvella, we need to move. Head back and I'll brick this side up. It's dark and he likely won't check it so I'm not too worried, but better safe than sorry. We'll go back to our cell and when he checks... if we don't have time to fix it or he looks suspicious, use a spell to make the wall look normal, yeah?"

With that, she motioned her onwards when the other woman was done in the room and began neatly moving the stacks she had made to cover the way they had entered the new cell. Luckily she hadn't gone and made a giant mess. It was simple enough to move them all over and use her nails to pull them back snug from inside the tunnel. It wasn't exactly large and she wasn't exactly small, but she backed out while shoveling sand back as best she could to keep it from making more of a mess in their cell for Corvella's Phantasmia to hide.

Once back where she had started she used her forearms to shovel the loose sand and silt that had made its new home outside the wall. Then she slid the stack back with as much case as time could afford. All that was left was making sure the sharp tile was back in its place, that everyone had their ropes ready around their wrists, and that Corvella was prepared.

The huntress dusted the sand off her arms and hands as she stood to move toward Kyupin, sitting down at her side with her body angled like a shield between her and the cell door. Gwyn couldn't think of a reason they would come to claim her again, but the chance that the poor Felis was to be hauled off? It was simply too much to bear. She spoke in a low whisper, meant only for her, "You doing alright, Kitten?" She didn't mean physically, but Gwyn wasn't good at this. She wasn't good at looking this in the face and having to pretend anything was alright. Obviously, Kyupin wasn't fucking alright. Even if Kyupin could put into words what was wrong beyond the pain of her arm and their shared situation, the archer wasn't sure she would share.

She knew that, but she didn't know what else to do and doing nothing? It stung. It chafed. It had her biting at the bit in frustration and fury. At herself, at Falderen, at Terrasphere itself.

Action: Ended Investigation Mode. Replaced the stones at both ends of the tunnel as best she could with the time available, keeping an ear out for the guard. Sits near Kyupin to wait for the guard to pass.

Their hope vanished as soon as Corvella realized opening the door would only alarm the guards all on ends of the hallway. I thought we were so close, she berated herself inside. Now she has no choice but to return to her original cell, while Gwyn doing everything she can to cover back the wall.

The guard would be here soon according to the presumed patrol schedule. They took their time covering up the tunnel and the wall. Luckily the stones was stacked neatly earlier so it wouldn't be much hassle to put them back in. It's the sand and the dirt that might cause some problem, if the guard managed to notice them somehow anyway. Of course she wouldn't let it happen.

Corvella sat on the left side of the cell, near the barred cell door in bent posture, hands hidden below her bowed head. It looked like she was either freezing from the cold, contemplating or even constipated, but in fact she was concentrating if the situation calls for a spell and also covering her cut rope. "Everything will be fine, I promise" she assured the party. She then would wait until she hear the guard's before opening her eyes.

Action: Went back into the original cell, hiding her hand, sat next but not to close to the door. Fully concentrating for a Phantasmia spell to trick the guard. Should the guard start to notice something around the wall is odd, she will try to quiet cast something on him to make him see that the particular portion of the wall is perfectly the way it was.

According to the time displayed on your UI, the guard was supposed to come this way by now. Yet, no one showed up. You waited for a while, in fact, but it seemed that something has happened that made the guard a no-show. Either way, if you were planning to surprise the guard, you would be disappointed.

@Ashiore Evretto With the dirt and sand you grabbed from the inside of the wall, you succeeded in growing a small vine and directing it into the keyhole where you were able to use your sense to unlock the door. (Roll: 85+30) Unlike the door in the other side, the door in your cell came out smoothly without so much as a peep.

If you get out of your cell and explore your surroundings from where you are, you'll notice a few things. [Diagram]
    • [ 1 ] The empty cell you crawled through a while ago.
    • [ 2 , 4 ] These cells seem to be locked and from what little light the party possesses, there appear to be people occupying them, though they don't seem like anyone you know.
    • [ 3 ] This door appears wooden and not a cell. There is no light beneath it, indicating that whatever this room is, it is without occupant. It appears quite different than other cells, a storage perhaps?
    • [ 5 , 6 ] These cells appear empty.
    • [ Hallway C ] If you turned around the corner, you will see Blue team lurking around at the other end of the hall. Both teams were separated by a large wooden door with the light underneath it. Your party can see almost everything blue team is doing in the 5th cycle when they are out of their jail cell. (Blue) Imprisoned

The waiting was tense and the silence stretched but eventually, the time had come and gone. Nothing. A whole, notable presence of absolutely jackshit nothing. "You've got to be fucking kidding me."

As time passed they eventually rose and decided to carry on with their plan regardless of the missing patrol. Gwyn snagged a few of the stones to hold in her left hand as measly ammunition should it be needed. The door was opened by the vine key without any issue and Gwyn was immediately shoving her way past Ashiore to look up and down the corridor. The huntress huffed, hands on her hips, and growled lowly to herself. "All of this? And we got stood up by our prison guard? For- you know what, whatever. We need weapons... well, weapons besides these piddly little rocks. Time to go a huntin'." She moved forward with quiet steps, but a notably aggressive stance. A few steps to her left down the corridor showed the second cell. Beyond it? Two rooms at the end of the hall. Another cell door set into the wall it looked like and the one on the opposing wall looked more solid. Wooden.

She was quick to point it out to the others and barely managed to restrain herself from setting off for it without a word. The crush of walls and ceiling and floor, of stone and iron and cold, of unknowing helplessness was beginning to weigh upon her shoulders. It felt like hooks around her ribs pulling her down with the weight of all the world behind it. She needed out. To move. To fight. To do anything but think circles around their situation.

The moment Ashiore even slightly agreed? She didn't wait for the rest to speak up and took headed down the hall. She was no rouge, but even the most unseasoned hunters learned quickly how and where to place their feet. Gwyn headed for the door, eyes scanning the hall. Nothing seemed out of place, save that they were here at all, but better safe than sorry. She had to keep reminding herself not to throw all caution to the wind. With Kyupin's arm like it was they couldn't risk a stupid fight at the wrong time and the chance the other would be hauled off for another round of torture.

Countess Felnya of Astorea might have made a lovely target for the depraved soldiers, but she'd be damned if she let anything else happen to Kyupin.

While she spared a glance toward the cell she passed, unless something of interest caught or eye or if someone caught sight of her? They were nothing. A blip on the map on the route to a sounder position. If the door held anything of use behind it, that was. A quick listen and then she would know.

Action: Heads down the hallway to the left. She'll glance into 2, but unless someone tries to interact with them then she'll continue on to 3. Gwyn will listen to the door for a moment before quietly opening it if unlocked to check it out.

She almost couldn't believe it when the lock clicked open. But a little push against the metal bars demonstrated that yes, it was just that easy. The door swung open without making another sound and they were free, at least from that grubby little room.

It was difficult to see what was to their right, though from what Kyupin said that was the direction that they needed to go if they were going to find King Astor. Hopefully it wouldn't be long before they found him. With the condition that Kyupin was in, she didn't even want to think about what he must have been going through.

To their left was a whole lot more light. And apparently a door that might have supplies behind it. Running around wearing rags and wielding nothing more than rocks, broken pieces of tile, and little bunches of sand was not Ashiore's idea of a good time, so she quickly agreed when Gwyn suggested going to check it.

If this door was locked as well, then she stepped up to try and pick it again. Getting their hands on anything at all was the priority here, but her energy meter in her peripheral vision was depleting fast. If the door wasn't locked, then she should try to conserve energy and just stay to the side, not doing anything. Who knew what was waiting for them up ahead?

Action: If the door Gwyn is examining is locked, repeat the lockpicking trick with the handful of dirt that she took from the cell. Otherwise, stand to the side and rest to try and regain some energy.

No signs of guard, or the mage. What happened? It was past several minutes from the schedule. Not waiting any longer, they act and picked the lock. Ash did a good job forming a makeshift key from vines grown on the dirt, opening the cell silently and quickly. And just like that, they were outside. Corvella brought a single piece of stone from the cell to use as a weapon should they encounter one.

    "Come on, let's go."

To the right, the hallway was so dark that they couldn't proceed safely without torch. While on the left, they saw a wooden door around the corner. If it wasn't a cell, could it be a storage? Even better if the equipment taken from them were stored here. The torture room was a bit far according to Kyupin, so it's safe to say that this room isn't that room.

Corvella proceeded to the left side of the hallway, looking at Kyupin once every few seconds. Her right arm looked better now, but she could tell that it would still be painful to move it even an inch. Corvella reassured that she would cover her should any danger arises.

Once they reached the corner, she turned around and saw movements at the other end of the hall. She quickly hide on reflex, but after squinting her eyes and observe longer, it looks like a fight broke out over there. She pops out investigation mode and the first thing she could identify was a quite dead mage. The lighting's quite dark so she couldn't quite see what lies further. With Gwyn and Ashiore trying to open the wooden door, Corvella walked out from the corner into the other hallway a few steps, watching for movements. She kept her investigation mode on and will alert the others if she see anything important.

Action: Went out of the cell, walked up into the corner and roughly see something. Turned corner to the left and stood on the hallway C. Stopped before the door 4 to scout for important things such as movement to cover people opening the wooden door.

OOC : Since Gold Team is behind one cycle, I thought it would be weird if they see Blue Team wandering around and not noticing them on the end of the hallway or we doing nothing to notify them. So I just assumed everything is quite dark.

The sigh of relief did nothing to ease the tension coiled in Kyupin's muscles, but it still felt good to finally be out of that cell. She followed the others out into the hallway after a long, hesitant moment. She could not manage to take the pile of rocks with her. She would settle for the one she was holding.

While Gwyn and Ashiore went to open the wooden door and Corvella went to inspect the sounds down the hallway, Kyupin found herself drawn to the cells with prisoners. There were two cells and people inside of there, but she didn't recognize any of them.

They couldn't afford to have strangers with them. But Kyupin couldn't leave them behind. Not when she knew what might come for them.

She had no way of letting them out herself, but at least she could try and... talk to them. Comfort them, maybe, or get some information. Anything until Gwyn and Ashiore figured out that wooden door. She crept closer towards one of the cell doors and called out.

    "Hello?"

Action: Take a loose rock with her out into the hallway. Checks the cells and then calls out to the people inside of one of the cells (2). Hoping to talk with them.

@Gwyn ap Herne You were quick on your feet, which allowed you to get you across the hall making next to no noise. When you passed by cell #2, but since you were too quiet, whatever inside completely missed you. With the cover of the darkness, you sneaked up to the wooden door (3) and tried to figure out what was inside; however, there was no sound and more importantly, no light beneath the door. You tried opening it, but the handle did not budge.

@Ashiore Evretto Since the door was locked, you sneaked up right behind Gwyn and successfully complete your trick once more. You can feel yourself growing rather tired from the magical expenditure, but you effortlessly opened the lock since the mechanism was very similar to the cell's door.

@Gwyn ap Herne You went inside after Ashiore unlocked the door. Even without a light source you will see very clearly thanks to the strong magical glow on the other side of the room. There were three crystals, red, yellow, and blue in that order and there was a cord extending at the bottom of the holster of each of them running down into the floor. At a glance you can tell they branced out into a number of cords that connected to the wall and the floor. Suddenly, you heard a click!

If you turned to your right, you will see another crystal with some number slowly counting down. It started at 5:00 then ticked down to 4:59, then 4:58. It seemed opening the door had tugged on one of the wires that started whatever this thing was.

@Kyupin Felnya You came closer to the barred door (2), if you had put your hand on the bar, a dirty pair of hands will suddenly reached out and grabbed it. Before long, a rather young man, probably in his early 20s pressed his teary face against the bars and begged you to let him out in a somewhat loud voice,

"H-hey, I did nothing wrong, I-I was the court jester and I only did an act that hinted at the King's mental state, it was not meant to be mean or as a criticism, just a joke, didn't they say that only jesters can speak the truth? Yet, why am I thrown in here during my tender years? P-please I beg of you, please let me out, I can't stand rotting for another day in this cell."

@Corvella You stood guard, but the hallway was far too dark for you to see anything. However, a sudden noise could be heard as a man reached out from cell #4, it was a thin arm, making scratching gesture at you, you can hear them wheeze in a raspy hushed voice.

"Let... me... out... now... or... I... will... fucking... scream... now... NOW..."
his raspy deep voice was slowly amplifying.

She wasn't necessarily surprised that the door was locked, but she was certainly annoyed. Every little step seemed to equal out to going fucking nowhere and if Ashiore hadn't been quick to step in with her key vine trick? Gwyn was liable to kick down the damn door herself.

Instead, it opened easy and the door swung open and Gwyn just about had a fucking aneurysm. Or a heart attack. Or a conniption fit. At the minimum, her blood pressure must have spiked in that moment to dangerous levels. "You have got to be fucking kidding me. This? This is bullshit. Is this thing a bomb? An alarm? A magic microwave? Where's the fucking burrito then, because all I'm seeing is bullshit?" She whispered furiously to herself, though Ashiore at least was close enough to hear.

With a low growl rumbling in her chest and throat like one of their tames, the huntress reactivated her heightened Investigation Mode to see what foul fate awaited them and how to presumably stop it. Or to see the punchline hidden in this cosmic joke.

Action: Investigates the crystals, cords, and wires in the room. Curses Fate. You are Fate.

@Gwyn ap Herne Your investigation revealed that these magical crystal directly controlled three different functions that could happen when the timer reaches 00:00.
    1. All the prison's hallways will light up for a brief while
    2. All the prison's hallways will have its light shut off until reactivation
    3. An alarm will sound
    4. The magical runes in the wall will be turned off
    5. The magical runes in the wall will be turned to the max, hurting all magical users a bit before it shuts off
You do not seem to be equipped with the knowledge to figure this out, perhaps one of the prisoners might know.
