And here we are again, with our favorite newbie with the fluffiest tail in town, Blake! Since her first login, she had caught some ways of walking with her tail, It still wasn't smooth as normal walking, but hey it was a start. She was now on the grassy fields of Brisshal, punching chickens to help her gain experience, because that usually grants you experience... Right? She actually had no idea, but hey it was fun, and it seemed like the best thing to do right now. The last chicken went running up towards a hill, the tallest one of them none the least. Oh well, now it was a good time as ever to go and try her hand at running. Can't lose that xp! She prepared herself, before darting upwards the hill. The training with walking helped her a little, so she was a tad more stable now. Thing is, there is a massive appendage strapped to her behind right now, so after a quick burst of speed, she quickly found gravity working against her, and after the chicken just looked and cuckoo'd at her for a last time to humiliate the poor thing as much as it could, Blake went rolling down the hill. After she finally stopped rolling down, she laid with her belly up, groaning and sighing. She really got bested by a chicken. A goddamn chicken. That made her stay there for a moment, reconsidering if she was good enough for this game.
Though still fairly new to the world, Lady Briar wasn't so troubled by her tail, its thin structure regularly coiled around her like a belt just for fun. Having been chasing chickens without any actual intent on harming them, she stopped her game of cat and mouse (or poultry, in this case) when she heard some sort of noise. A feline had just beautifully rolled down the hill nearby her. Or at least, it certainly looked enough like a felis. Having seen the rather comedic failure, the smaller feline was doubled over, laughter escaping her much more than her own breath could try. She was so entertained, her belly was beginning to go numb from the fit of giggles. "That was...That was just too perfect! Outsmarted by a bird brain!" She shook her head and raised it, wiping a tear with one of her hands that dared try to leave her yellowed eyes. "You have no idea how to walk with that tail, do you? I almost feel bad. Maybe I should teach you. If you do what I say, you'll be walking properly with it in no time, and getting some extra experience too!" With a playful smile, the 'girl' was quite intrigued at this moment. She didn't know the felis before her, but she knew this would be a great little game to play. And hey, she wasn't fully lying. If the girl took care of her for a while, Briar would surely teach her about the forces of gravity...and they'd probably get some experience together with the help of the chickens swarming the hill. "I'm the great Lady Briar. You've done well to entertain me so, Miss."
After pondering about her life choices for a small amount of time, she noticed that she attracted a small felis to her side. She looked adorable, given her smaller size. Elizabeth liked cats in real life, she did not own one though because her sister was allergic to them, so no deal, unfortunatly. That was also one of the main reasons why she choosed the Felis race. Although her dorky mind did not take care in consideration the consequences of sliding the size and fluffiness options for her tail to the maximum. So now she had a enormous tail that looked amazing, but was hell to deal with.... Worth it. To quote Despicable Me: "ITS SO FLUFFY!" Anyhow, she got back up and cleaned herself from the dirt. Then, she turned to Briar, and heard her offer. Yes. Yes yes yes! Finally someone would dedicate themselves to help her! And all she needed to do was to "Do what she says"... A quest then! Simple enough, but wasn't she a player? Who cares, knowledge is knowledge and it- Did she just say extra experience? Now Blake was completely sold. She just nodded and gave her a smile sweet enough to melt ice. She seemed really grateful that Briar was doing this for her, but oh wait she seemed very formal so Blake had to have manners too. So she bowed with a snap, before speaking. "I'm very grateful that i was able to entertain you, Lady Briar, and i shall do anything you ask. Just please teach me how to control this enourmous torrent of fur." As she said that, she waved her tail. And oh jeez, it was big and thick! Certainly bigger than a normal cat's. That would be some work to put on its place.
Stretching herself to as long as she could be, her hands towards the sky, the almost chronically tired felis gave a soft smile. That was easier than I thought it'd be. And to think, I was going to have to climb this mountain of a hill all on my own before! It wasn't actually that big a hill, mind you. In fact, the only reason it seemed big was that in their world, a girl of Briar's height would be considered a dwarf. For a moment, Briar pondered that fact- was dwarfism a thing in this medieval fantasy? Or was it a race? She knew there were fairy-like fellows...Well, it didn't really matter right now, did it? "You know, it's rude to accept a name and not give your own." The felis's words were a bit sharp, but surprisingly, she didn't mean harm for a change. Once in a while, she could be helpful. Besides, this girl she was talking to just agreed to listen to her orders- whether she understood or not the reasoning. For that, she earned at least a little common courtesy, even if it was a bit...rough. Slowly, Briar took a moment to show her the proper method for a humanoid cat to walk- but, her methods were meant more for someone with slightly less weight on their tail, even if her own was longer than her student's. "Why'd you make yourself such a heavy tail? You're fighting gravity just standing with that thing, aren't you?" Well, at least she could explain this easily enough knowing that fact. Unless of course her student was an ignorant child with no knowledge of what gravity was. Boy, that would be a hoot! An annoying one, but entertaining nonetheless. "Since your tail is heavy....To balance it out, you should lean in just enough as you walk so that your center of mass isn't including your tail too much on the back side of it."
Okay... She listened to Lady Briar and analyzed what she said. Well, it was true that she was quite dumb when she choosed to have such a big tail on her first real dive, so strike on her. On the other hand, it was a question, so she needed to answer. Nodding to Briar again, she smiled, before waving her tail around, grabbing it and running a hand through it. The feeling of the fur was so real, it impressed her for a second, before focusing back on Briar, twiddling her fingers at having her choices questioned. "Well... Its my first real dive into a game like this, so i didn't imagine gravity would impact me that much, hehe~" She scratched her head a bit, clearly embarassed by her own lack of insight. But after that, she realized the second thing Briar asked for: Her name. OH RIGHT, she hadn't gave her name yet! Oh, and it felt even worse for her since she was born a brit! We are considered classier than americans for a reason! She bowed in shame, before talking once again. "Oh, sorry for my lack of manners. The name is Blake Elgis, Milady Briar." She was reaally taking this seriously. Oh well, better for Briar. Then, the third thing. The actual tip for her walking. Lean a bit in... She started to do so, while walking slowly. First she went a bit too far and her back started to hurt, then she didn't lean enough and almost lost balance. But after try and error, she finally ended up on a sweet spot. And then, she adventured herself to try and run. One skips, two skips, three skips, then she picked up the pace. She was running. She was feeling the wind blow through her face as she was speeding. A feeling she thought she had lost access to since her childhood. That's why she looked oddly happy in being able to do so. Of course, she had to do a stupid. And that stupid came in the form of a botched frontflip which made her land in her bum. But this time, she didn't felt frustrated or down... In fact a smile rose up her cheeks, followed by a laughter. She seemed so happy, but hey, she made a deal, so she had to fullfill it. She went back to Lady Briar, before speaking again in a upbeat tone. "So, how can i help you?"
How could this girl get any more worrying, Briar wondered. That she started by showing a clear misunderstanding of what dive technology was meant to do was one issue, but that she actually seemed happy to fall down that final time? That just was the icing on the cake of possible insanity. The medical practitioner behind the smaller cat almost wanted to take a look in her head to find her brain. Well, some other time, maybe. "The point of dive programs, such as this, are to give you the experience as if you're living it. The last thing a company is going to do with that in mind is skimp out on gravity. Unless, of course, you're in a space simulation. But if that's what you were aiming for, you wouldn't be playing a game like this, now would you?" Though her voice still had some venom, it was surprisingly gentle at the same time. Though she was an idiot, this...Blake? Was a cute kid. If it were offline, she'd surely hit on her. Hell, she might today, if she felt interested in it later on too. Briar had no real worries about who she was going to tempt in this game. Anyone could be useful, whether for her darker thoughts or not. "As for what I needed help with..." She pointed up the hill the girl had climbed, growling at it when she took a peek in it's direction. "I need help getting up this thing. I try and can't keep myself going up. The hills around here are too steep for my tiny legs. I want you to help me to the top."
She just scratched her head with a dumb smile as Briar spoke about VRMMORPG's in general. Surely, she was a bit unprepared and clumsy by choosing a race with a extra appendage without training first, but hey, she couldn't find anything about this game on the internet, so let's say it wasn't totally her fault for going on blind. In any case, she noticed that Briar was a tad confused by why she looked happy, even if she failed there. Being the happy-going girl she was, she just splurted out the truth, dead on arrival. "Oh, but i just can't help it! Last i walked on the real world, i was about to blow six candles." She then walked for a bit, before realizing it. Damn, she had just let that out, didn't she? She stopped for a bit, before turning to Briar, putting her hands behind her back. She seemed to be strangely okay with sharing that. "So... Yeah, its nice to jump and run around, even if i fall. Just... Felt like clarifying that." She then dropped to her knees, her back turned to Briar. She gave that sweet smile again, pratically melting the heavy tone present at the time. "Soo... Piggyback, it is?"
Internally cursing her luck, there were a few strange questions and thoughts flowing in the small kit's mind. For one, how was it she always seemed to wander into such airheads that would give away personal information about their disabilities without a second thought in games? For that matter, why was it always women to boot? At least she could laugh more easily at the injuries or pain of a fellow offline man! Then again....Who said this was a woman? Lady Briar had to remind herself she herself was living a lie in this world, so others clearly could too. Getting rid of her thoughts on the matter, she silently hopped onto the back provided, small arms wrapping around the woman's neck with her rump suprisingly close to the base of the unusually fluffy tail. Feeling the fur unintentionally tickle a small piece of her leg, Briar shivered against Blake's back, hugging tighter from being startled. "That explains being excited to move around, but you shouldn't be excited to fall down, too. At least know to say when something hurts instead of laughing at it. A broken bone is no laughing matter, you know. You should be more careful." Why was it that with these types, Briar couldn't help 'her' medical background kicking in? Briar didn't even like being a doctor. "If you need medical attention or at least some advice, I wouldn't mind helping you though." Crap, she was still doing it! She was still being nice! How would this help spread chaos? Well, she was getting a free ride out of the kid. Looking at it as repayment wasn't so bad.
She was not prepared for that sudden tighten of her arms, making her choke for a bit, although she quickly adjusted Briar's small arms to not choke her that much. It wasn't really hard, there isn't really much a noodle can do to resist being moved around. After she did that, she stopped to take a look at her situation. In a span of a day, she had met two handsome guys, chased after chicken and learned how to walk with a fluffy tail. Quite productive day if you ask her. But she still had a task to take care off, and that ask was taking Lady Briar up the hill. It wasn't that hard now that she learned how to do so, so she did it at a moderate pace. She didn't have to rush, otherwise she may fall down, this time with Lady Briar on her back. And that would be very bad. Turning her head to face Briar, she asked. "So... What was the inspiration for your appearance inside this game? Because you are adorable~" After saying that, she started skipping, which made the fluffiness start ticking Briar again, oh boy, that would surely make a reaction come out from her. And Blake was blissfully oblivious of what she was doing~
As the tail's fluff continued to tickle her, an uncomfortable sensation shook her spine. Idiot! This girl...She's well beyond an idiot! What does she think she's doing with that tail? Teasing is MY job! What is she doing!? Frustration rather rampant in her husky inner monologue, it was a moment like this where Briar was very glad to be a Lady. After all, there'd be a much more awkward reaction to this stimuli if she had her normal body. A far less comforting one for others, at that. Finally calmed down from her irritation, the smaller kit recalled some of the other reason she'd been so upset in the first place. "Don't call me things like that. 'Adorable' is not a word that suits chaos. 'Adorable' would be a word better suited to a twerp who smiles after getting hurt because they don't know how to walk properly." Crap, she was doing it again. She was saying nice things! Nice things didn't lead to chaos! Then again, offline, she could say nice things too- if it was to a girl. Yeah, that's it. It's because she's a girl. A stupid one, but a girl...That's all it is, Briar. It's just hormones...Or something like that. Clearing her throat, she answered the question finally about her choice. "When I was young, I had a cat. She was a brown tabby, and often got into some of my brother's painting supplies. Once, she was coated blue, then rushed into me while the basket was attached to her. It got on me too. Ever since, that kitty became known as the little 'Lady Briar'...And as a joke, I started using it for games. Because what a better way to remember a loved one than to mimic them? Imitation is the truest form of flattery, you know." It took some time to catch her breath after that long ramble. The worst part was, it was a (mostly) true story. One of Briar both loved and loathed with a passion. But, as she'd already stated, mimicry was a good way to praise someone. "So...What about you? Where'd you come up with your plan, Fluff-Flake?" She thought it was a fairly 'cute' nickname for the girl, and it was fitting. Blake equaled flake, Blake certainly seemed to be a flake (in her rather biased, disregarding mind)...And she certainly liked fluff, didn't she?
She finally started noticing that Briar was getting tickled by her torrent of furious fur, also named as her tail, so she adjusted it to make it stop. No more accidental teasing! Then, she heard what Briar had to say. Ooooh, so she was a bashful one? That made her even more adorable! But then again, she did mention something about chaos... Well, this world seemed quite free to explore around, so doing mischieveous things that are not exactly good in any way could be a possibility. There wasn't no alignment system, or at least she hadn't checked yet, but hey, people have fun in different ways. And, well, chaos can be fun sometimes. But the other part is what made her heart melt. She was called adorable. By the person who was making quite the harsh impression, it surely felt nice. So nice, in fact, that she started to wave her tail around, a wide smile opening up on her face. But she was also questioned on her build choice, and as a classy woman, she had to answer Briar's question. "Well... You see, i wanted to feel a bit more... Sultry, i think that's the word. At the age of 17, people still unironically pinch my cheeks. Its annoying~! But i also tried to keep Blake with a bit of cuteness, and i'm pretty happy with the results!" She jumped a bit and boob physics happened. Those were a nice pair, but she certainly was still getting used to them. "Also... I like Fluff-Flake. Its adorable, just as you said i am, hehe~" At last, they make it to the top of the hill. A bit tired, Blake speaks. "So, what you need now, Lady Briar? Oh, and i feel sorry for when you had to say goodbye to your cat. He must've been such a lovely little thing."
A special snowflake indeed, considering this kid just gave out her real age and some notable information. At seventeen, most young girls were already young women. This girl had already stated she didn't get to run around in their world- was she some sort of dwarf with bad legs? Did she have brittle bone disease? As a doctor, there was an air of interest- but as a young girl seeking chaos, it was less interesting by far. Well, by normal aesthetics, she was cute. Her cheeks were actually still pinchable, but especially after what she said- wait, why wouldn't she after what was just said? Best chaos right there! Ruin her reasoning! Grinning slyly, she waited until they were at the destination to take on her intent. The girl had actually felt bad for her, though. Well, it was lucky at least that Blake didn't realize that, like her name, Briar could be male or female. Her stomach churned upon realizing that as much as she was acting as a girl, this 'kid' could very well be pretending to be a young lady herself. Though, that just made her temptation stronger. "He was a good one, yep. Kinda like you are so far." Grinning, she finally made her move and put her fingers upon the other feline's cheek, squeezing just enough to pinch, without making it painful. "Adult or not, you're still pinchable. Your next task is to not get mad at me for that. If you can do that, I'll give you a reward." What was the reward? She didn't know yet. Hopefully she'd think of onesoon, in case the girl happened to earn it.
After getting to the top, she waited for her orders. It had been a fun afternoon and all, but eventually she would have to log off and call it a day. Still, let's see what that felis would make her do. Maybe she would make her be her maid for a day, or make her hunt for her. Anything was an option really, and it made her quite excited. The wonders of this world, having Briar as her guide to explore them and lead her into the right places, paths and people. Sure, she spoke of chaos, but that was minor at best. Surely she would moderate herself while in her presence as to not-WHY WAS SHE PINCHING HER CHEEKS? WHY? There wasn't a thing on this world that irritated her more than getting her cheeks pinched. Not because of the pain itself, but for the sheer conotation that comes with it. It makes her feel like she's still a child, one that needs to be teased and treated as a marvelous candy that is too pure for this world. Her lack of movement made so that her body didn't develop very well, hence the fact that she looks too small for her age, so her parents do that to her endlessly. She plays along and smiles at them, knowing that their hearts are already on breaking point just by looking at her, in that state. VRMMO'S and Virtual Reality in general was her escape from that harsh reality, and yet here was reality, digging its way into her safe heaven. She did not like that. Yet, she could not be mad at Briar. She was just an individual that she had barely met and therefore knew naught of what she had to go through behind that helmet. So, she just breathed in, and opened a smile on her face. Although, a sharp look could have caught that even for a second, her bright mood went missing. "H-Hey! That's not fair, you are ruining my objectives with this~!" She tried to playfully shake her off, but not so roughly as to actually risk her getting thrown into the ground.
When the woman tried to shake her off, the small feline opted to let go of her grip around her, but not before kissing her cheek with a playful smile. When she was happily on the ground (or regrettably, since it meant she had to do more herself), Briar was quick to let her smile become a bit more coy while she moved her arms behind her hat. "As I said, you get a reward for trying to be patient. Being pinched on the cheek should make you happy, if you ask me. Being old isn't all it's cracked up to be." Sure, Briar wouldn't actually tell anyone her age- but she would easily admit to being older than she appeared. Being an old man, of course, was separate. Stretching her long tale outward, she felt the air blowing against it. "Well, either way, it isn't just about age that we folks like to pinch cheeks, y'know. Sometimes it's a way to just say yer cute. Take it as a compliment and wear the red mark with pride, I say."
Oh, she let go that easily? Well, at least it wasn't painful for neither of them, and she stopped pinching, so it was all good. Until Briar kissed her on the cheek. See, affection was something as foreign to Elizabeth as space itself. Usually not going out of home very much and being hometeached, she had no experience with love. And cheek smooches, to her, could only be used as a form of affect by a parent, or by someone greeting their lover. And so, almost instantly after contact, the red on her cheeks due to the pinching got overflowed by a new tone of red, coming from her embarassment. She then started to fan her face with her left hand, while making indistinguishable nervous noises. "I would prefer if you did not make such bold moves into my personal space, Lady Bria." It was adorable how confused she was by that. After that, Lady Briar started talking about how being old isn't supposed to make you forget what makes you happy. And yeah, she was only 17, so being grumpy about pinching was just a childish attitude of a child who desperatly wanted to be treated as an adult. Which was not her case, so she had no right to it. And the fact that she called her cute, after what had just happened, made her blush even more. Aww. She spoke a bit more of nervous gibberish before speaking in a language that a normal person can understand. "W-Well, the red you are talking about isn't the one i'm brandishing on my cheeks right now, heh..."
