Blue eyes observed the user interface panels in front of her as she checked her current situation. Other than the hood she acquired from honeyhome, Indra was still stuck in mostly beginner gear. Annoyance led the blonde to sigh, but it would have to do. It’s not like this entire entourage depended on her, right? Maybe. Last time she followed this train of tought, however, she also lost her chance at finishing persephone back in honeyhome where she and a few other adventurers had to fight to protect a farmer and his daughters.

Indra observed the people in the wagon for a few moments, but truth be told, she wasn’t really interested in talking or interacting with anyone for the time being. The magecrafter was invited by Quinn through comm chats — and she obviously lied about knowing about everything before him — but the whole idea behind a large entourage to save people she had no ties with was a bit… Weird, to say the least. Indra had no real ties or interest in politics, but hey, if this is a king (despite being a player) and his little friends, perhaps she could get a decent pay for helping and working for them. She could only hope things wouldn't go south.

According to the little information she managed to get from text chats and overhearing other players, this was also a great chance to approach Falderen. Up until now, the magecrafter had limited her crafting connections to small villages and Honeyhome, but considering the problems that happened, she had to expand her commerce routes and clientele. As she drifted on her thoughts, the blonde perked up, ahoge straightening up in response to the notification sound on her inbox. Indra’s face grew bright red for some unknown reason after reading its content, a quick and brute motion of her right hand forcing the UI to close. Oddly, her face remained expressionless.

“Angry. Irredeemable. Unbelievably irredeemable actions, green hedgehog. Do you take photos of people you stalk now?” She muttered under her breath while looking down, her ahoge oscillating in frustration. She had no answer to counter him.

"What in the, hey, calm down," the Felis said to his borrowed horse as she rattled her head in defiance of his commands. He already witnessed the mount's disagreeable nature, but it seemed Alonso did not have to deal with the rest of what she had to offer. A sigh escaped the man's lips, feeling the horse start maneuvering towards the wagons, the Marquees shaking his head in disappointment. It was better than going off the beaten path and far away from the entire group. "Guess she's not giving a damn, Princess. I'll be back I suppose," the Felis noted. He kept both hands on the reigns, giving nothing more than slight adjustments so the horse did not grow too out of hand.

She seemed content with the wagons, and after waving the reigns around, the man noticed the horse followed orders if these were near. Part of the large man wanted to force her to head back up front, but he also did not consider going back and forth to check on those who volunteered for this mission. Wandering the mount up to the side of one, Alonso noticed three people he had yet to speak with, nor did he recognize any of them. Two humans, male, and a single felis, female. The middle aged noble drifted to his thoughts, How many of these players are gonna be lazy and just create goddamn cat girls all day?

Conversation just had to be simple. Nothing complicated, and open ended enough. Alonso cleared his throat, speaking up for @Anabelle Zhang, @Emil Trevelyan, and @Yuichi Ichinose to hear, "How are you three holding up back here? Seems we might take the shorter path when all's said and done, so be wary."

    @Aiko Yamauchi

Contrary to Aiko across from her, Moony was probably totally worthless. Without so much of as a ceremony, nod, nor a gesture, she was tossed into "wagon number 3" without consent as though she were a sack of potatoes. And before Moony could protest they were off. Who was the real prisoner here?! The pauper princess lamented. She was about to call out however---

    "Urp~"

Placing one dainty hand over her mouth and then the other, the pale porcelain princess turned green and then blue...

She didn't dare move as a another wave of sea...land...car...wagon sickness overtook her. Minutes passed, or perhaps hours even as she remained ever or still, like a doll.

In time she got her bearings, not 100%, but enough to give her wagon-mate something to do. Feigning composure, she attempted to probe the bushy-tailed pretty-towngirl type across from her for some kind of clue as to what was going on...

"Heavens...quite the situation, no? Nary I had only arrived for a spot of tourism of this 'Adven~tu~ours' capitol when lo and behold an excur---urp----- *deep breath* tion. Have you any inkling of our plan once we arrive at our destination? Is this some sort of sight-seeing tour? AH- ! Might you be one of those ladies who points out the points of interest upon our journey? I would very much like to meet the king at the end, all-besides..."

Weissman had snuck himself into the wagon several moments after arrival. Keeping mainly to himself Weissman had a feeling he might actually die on this raid. This would not be his first time however, it would be a total pain in the ass if his phobia next prevented him from combat. Furrowing his brow the lad sat nice and quite while @Aiko Yamauchi and @Moonbunny spoke together in the wagon.

Crimson orbs reflected a rather emotionless core that expressed little to no interest in a plan. Yet Weissman was indeed listening to what the woman had to say about the plan of action about to take place. Taking out his weapon he slowly sharpened it against a small sharpening stone he had snagged out of the supplies pile. A dull weapon meant you were a dead man on the field..

Dead men don't tell tales of victory or success, they wallowed in the earth swallowed by the downward current of the River Sphinx. Nodding his head lightly the woman probably was more useful than himself at this point and time, perhaps not. He had trash tier gear besides his harness at the time, and perhaps he would earn a decent amount of wealth from this trip. No one knew what would happen in the future all he knew was that he wanted to live to see the end of it all.

Sweeping the long lush of veil of midnight purple hair, the busty woman gathered herself into the dusty wagon. A sound of irritation seemed to burst through her lips as her body sat down on the wooden flooring. She actually had no idea what was going on, or what who was going where. She just figured this was some kind of taxi service for poor people, but with some looks from the others, she would say not all of them were poor as she was though that could change very quickly.

She had been going from one wagon to the other finding a spot for herself, preferably richer looking folks who seemed to be doing well. Perhaps a smile her, a slip of the hand there and she would be on her way to reveling in their wealth. But alas, as she moved from Wagon to Wagon, she found herself in this desolate, beaten and janky looking thing. With a huff, she folded her arms and leaned back. Hot and irritated, the female wouldn't even have the company of a man to hold her from this ride. She would have to just let it go, though being confined to such a space, it was only a matter of time before she would explode.

Dripping with a sassy tone of voice she seemed to bark at the only other person in the Wagon, "Keep it down while I try to sleep!" If this journey was going to be something of a long ride, she could at least get some beauty rest, but the chances of that being unlikely in this dirt beaten, back water Wagon. Eyes closed to draw away from the attention of the outside world, the woman leaned against the boarding canvas of the Wagon attempting to sleep though her mind was mostly wide away. She would move irritably, her busty frame being strapped by folded arms as her back arched and leaned to one side. She could use a drink, a heavy drink to perhaps knock her out for the remainder of the trip. She swallowed the foul air around and smiled as brightly and as charmingly as she could at the girl at the other end of the Wagon, "Hey there~ My name is Vivian. You buy chance wouldn't have a bottle of wine or something to that effect on you? I could use a drink to help with this nightmarish cart ride. Why don't you be a gal-pal and offer me something you have in your inventory, we can be BFFs for this trip! What do you say?" Her smile lingered, heavy perfume wafting over to the blonde as Vivian seemed to crawl closer to her.

She giggled, and flirted lightly sitting next to the female, long purple hair flipped off her shoulder revealing the goods the busty woman had on display by her thin armor. A smile so warm, yet so deviously cold, that it could leave any desire wanting more. Next to the female, Vivian smiled again with her curling lips and her eyes lowered and dripped into a seductive look. "How's about that drink, Poppet?" @Indra

To put it mildly Megan was bored. She wasn't sure why she had agreed upon this adventure, truth be told she didn't even know Astorea was a country much less was she truly willing to fight for it. That said, the chance for battle, and more important recognition was something she could likely find here. For now, however, she sat in a wagon, practically freezing as a chill breeze blew throughout it. Clutching her light cloak tightly to small frame, she tried her best not to shiver, less her teeth start chattering. No one would take her seriously if her teeth began chattering. Secretly Megan regretted her decision, not to pick up a flame related magic school. However, at the time it seemed like an obvious choice, after all it was normally the most chosen in the games she had played prior. Why would it be different in Terrasphere? No she had tried to chose something somewhat unique, something she had thought would be somewhat rare, Hydromancy. Ice was always something that spoke to her on a spiritual level after all, or so she thought. A strong gust of wind blew past her sending her teeth chattering despite her best efforts, "D-d-d-drat." she moaned as she struggled to regain self control.

Idly she speculated on how she could use her powers to help warm herself up. Despite what she had originally believed she couldn't control heat with hydromancy, sadly it seemed she could only either create masses of water, or lower surface temperature of an object. Neither would particularly help here. If they were not moving she could likely freeze a wall between herself and the wind, but that would just impede their travel, which would make things worse. Instead she tried to focus on distracting herself from the cold. Looking around the wagon she only spotted two people of interest both @Indra and @Vivian Cruz. With a groan she scooted over to them, intending to forcefully join their conversation, after-all she thought she had overheard something earlier. Megan shoot Vivan a fleeting glance, her sexual aura making the girl uncomfortable. Instead she shifted a look to Indra, asking with hopeful eyes, "Did...you say you brought a hedgehog with you...?"

The woman spoke back, which frankly surprised the green-haired young man. He was half expecting her to continue to contemplate the question of life in that uncomfortable position. Since she directly responded to his off-handed criticism of her color palette, Quinn decided to change topic; after all, he may be a jokester, but he certainly wasn't mean spirited in any way.

"A woman who endorses branding, not bad," Quinn replied. "I am actually a bit of a crafting hobbyist myself. Look at these." Moving closer to Lucia, Quinn went into his inventory and pulled out a few arrows, which he used with his short bow. Handing one of them over to Lucia, he said:

"If you inspect the tip, you can see my face on it, no? That is my kind of branding, letting people know I have penetrated them every time I score a shot. Bad guys who survive will either live with a piece of me inside them until they die, or they take it out and have a souvenir to show their friends and family. Doing it this way allow me to spread my brand. I've been getting these specially-crafted and the prices are starting to make my wallet cry. I figured I would go and learn the craft myself at some point, so I can put a personal touch on it."

Quinn sat with one leg crossing the other, happily chatting the night away with @Lucia Mierz who seem like she might understand his philosophy.

    D'vangelline de Falder
The Princess let out a yawn as the cold wind hit her face relentlessly, making her sleepier by the second. Thankfully, with @Alonso Thorlion riding besides D'vangelline and asking her the important questions, she was able endure the boredom of the sleepless journey. After the question was posed, it took the Princess a bit of reflection before she replied, shouting over the wind.

"My hope is for his majesty to see how beneficial it is to have an ally of a high status. I am hoping your King will come to appreciate my perspective on people like you, the adventurers and their impact on this world. If he truly believes in order, I do not see why our nations cannot get along.

If I am able to ascend the throne, a permanent peace and mutual prosperity is something I seek. Adventurers do not suffer many of the problems the people of the land experience everyday, I your kind to have an untold potential for labor. But do excuse my crass language, I cannot convey my thought in eloquent, ladylike words like my sisters!!!"

That, was roughly 8 hours ago...

After the long and bumpy travel under the cold night sky, the sun rose in the horizon, serving as a wake up call for many of the adventurers who have been sleeping on the wagons. Those who chatted the night away were able to witness a very scenic sunrise. Before people could enjoy a gentle start to a brand new day, a rooster on wagon #1 began crowing loudly forcing everyone to get up regardless of whether or not they wanted to. Someone had apparently brought their pet rooster with them on the trip and it was doing its job diligently. No many where you were among the traveling entourage, you could hear that obnoxious chicken screaming at the top of its lungs, overpowering any thought you may have.

Since the overwhelming opinion among the rescue entourage was to try and get to the border as quick as humanly possible, the Princess signaled for all the riders and the coach drivers to cut through a path that was with very crude roadwork. The ride was getting bumpier each second as the entourage sped through the sparse forest. If you had looked at your map, you would be able to see that you were diagonally cutting right through the forest, heading directly for your direction. It wouldn't be long before the entourage will get out of the bumpier area and get onto a proper road once more.

    Cycle 2: The Chase

After the sun reached the zenith of the sky, indicating that it was now the midday, you started hearing strange sound. After listening a little more carefully, you immediately realized that it was the sound of horses and people hollering. Looking out of your wagon, you noticed that there was a massive group of armed and mounted men tailing the entourage. At a quick glance, you couldn't pinpoint the number of people stalking the wagons, but you were certain it was three times the size of your band.

    img
    Scout
"Shit! Your highness, please be careful, it's the Black Wolf Bandits, they normally don't come out in droves like this, but I think they got winds of us cutting through their territory. If we don't outrun them, they are going to cut us down or kidnap and sell us. Please inform the adventurers, they are in danger!”

    img
    D'vangelline de Falder
D'vangelline was never a fan of the fastest route, and it seemed one of her worst fears has manifested. Pulling away from the head of the pack, she immidiately slowed down so she was parallel to @Alonso Thorlion "Lord Alonso, you heard what the scout said right? Please help me turn back and alert all the wagons, we're in danger."

Afterwards, D'vangelline slowed down so she could alert the adventurers closest to her. "Brace yourself!!! We're being pursued by bandits. Everyone, hang on, fight back if you are able, otherwise, please do whatever you can to slow them down or they are going to ride us down. Riders in the front, follow me, we'll intercept them and protect the wagons as much as we can, let's go! Let's go!"

Just as D'vangelline and some of her riders pulled away from the wagons, the bandits began attacking the entourage. First, one of the bandits shot a flaming arrow directly into wagon #1, setting the roof ablaze. If nothing is done soon, the entire wagon is going to catch on fire and spread to the others.

Next, the horseback archers nocked their arrows and drew their bow. On command, they let the arrows loose, raining a torrent of arrows down on the wagons. Some even hit a horse in the process.

In an effort to protect itself, all the wagons are now riding in a loose circle. Staying close to one another to provide support if a wagon needed. If the bandits are able to stop the entourage everyone is going to get captured and ransomed for gold...

    Cycle 2 Status

All posting are now refreshed, you still get 2 posts per cycle per OOC account. How this cycle works is that every cycle that follows the DM will roll a number of dice to determine how much damage the entourage takes. D'vangelline and her riders will be helping the group by attacking the bandits as well. Sometimes, a special event may happen in the middle of a cycle.

Wagon: There are currently SIX (6) wagons altogether; you generally will be interacting with people in your wagon.
    • You may ride on your mount if you preferred.
    • There is a limit of 6 people in a wagon.
    • Wagon #1 is on fire.
    • A wagon can be destroyed. When that happen you must hop to another wagon that is not full.
[ Entourage's HP: 2030/2030 ] If this number ever hit zero, the bandit crash the entire entourage and kidnap everyone for ransom. You can raise this number by doing things that helps the entourage run away or to help it recover from the attack.

[ Bandits' HP: 3000/3000 ] If this number ever hit zero, the bandit has taken so many casualty that they will will stop chasing and attacking the entourage. You can bring this number down by engaging in combat or using your skill to sabotage the bandit riders.

    Damage

Everyone in wagon #1 now have Burning as a condition, subtract 10 HP every time you post. It last for 2 posts. Add the condition below the HP and EN below.

    Code:

You can only do one of these actions per post. You can flavor it however you want, but you must use the correct template depending on your action. To keep track of the entourage and bandits HP, simply look for matching color.

Help will add your result to the entourage's HP. Sabotage and Mounted Combat reduce the bandit group's HP. Stopping the fire will reduce the fire number.

Before you post, you must roll here if your action requires it: (Roll) The Rescue Entourage 2

Help: With this action, you are doing things to maintain the entourage's collective health. Some examples include: deflecting attacks, healing injured people, fixing the wagon, etc.

  5. With the long ride to their destination was still very far away from their reach, Verity can feel his vision began to fade as exhaustion overtake him. He wanted to keep an eye around the area for any ambushes, but he felt he won't able to continue if he ignores his health like this. Because of this, he slowly closed his eyes to give himself a short nap.

Well, he did try to nap until he smelt something burning. As he looked out from the wagon, his eyes widened in horror to saw his fear came true. Not only bandits began to attack some of the wagons, but one of them was on fire. Horrified at first, Verity quickly got up from his feet and shouted to the other adventurers (@Solaria, @Kaede Hoshi, @Alric Stalwart) with him. "Hey! Wake up, all of you! We're under attack and one of the wagons are burning!" Once he said this, he aimed his hand at the burning wagon and recited, "Qui flare ventos, per velum!"

A gust of wind then blew behind him as it tried to blow the fire away. "We have to stop them before they can try to destroy the wagons! Quickly!" Verity shouted, with his voice now growing stern as he continued to try blowing the wagon's fire with his spell.

  8. Megan's question regarding hedgehogs was suddenly cut off when she heard a shout. Pushing forward, she peered through the canvas opening to reveal one of the wagon's had seemingly began to catch on fire. "Careless fools dropped a candle...or...lantern or something..." Megan mumbled as she began to sit back down, not realizing the full extent of what was happening. As she moved to do so, she heard a cacophony of yells, and alarms being raised. "What... what's going on?" Pushing her way back to the edge she looked out again, now seeing the large army that surrounded them. Struggling to contain a gasp of shock Megan stood shaking in a combination of fear, and excitement. "Now's your chance to shine..." she thought as she took in a deep breath steeling herself.

Pushing towards the edge of the wagon, she swung her crude staff before her as she pulled what mana she could muster, forcing it onto its tip, causing the rotten wood to begin to dimly glow blue before Megan began to chant, "Lady Shiva, heed my call, for your loyal servant beseeches your power once again. Before me the flames of chaos bounce, and bend ruining the tranquility of life, and blemishing your grace. Come and let your breath bring reason to anarchy, and stillness to those who seek it. Winters Gasp!" As she spoke a blue aura manifested itself in a small bubble around her, illuminating her movements in the same pale light from before, and as she finished a large gust of wind blew forth towards Wagon number one, sending a barrage of crystallized ice shards each of which threatened to put out the fire, as well as freeze those inside.

It was tough to resist the urge to roll her eyes at @Zelrius's words, but somehow she managed. Probably unfair to be judging, since everyone started out as a beginner somewhere, but she really wasn't in the mood right now. "I'll believe it when I see proof."

And then there was @Aria's question... She remembered the green-haired archer from that near-disastrous mission about the gold. Great. Well, if she wasn't running about screaming her head off, that was at least an improvement. "Nothing much to tell. The lot of us agreed to a request from the king of Falderen to save his missing daughter. Turned out it was all a lie to get us caught in an ambush. Fired arrows from above and crossbows from across after we were all tired from making it through the mountain. I got logged out of the game at that point, don't know what happened next."

She stopped talking after that. Wasn't a particularly bright moment of her time in the game, but then again, there hadn't been many. At least they had appeared to come to a consensus about going through the woods. Good, the less obstacles in the way to get to the mountains, the better. Who cared if it was more dangerous, she was itching to just go on and do something.

How convenient for her when it looked like their little entourage got chased by bandits. The flaming arrow was less convenient, but at least this was something she could do something about. Opening up her spell menu, she ducked her head out briefly into the fray to check how the wagon was doing. Not great, judging by the thick black smoke.

Well, time for her to do get to work. Selecting the appropriate spell, she muttered the incantation under her breath and and watched the raincloud form above their wagon, putting out part of the fire. Unfortunately, she had to quickly duck back inside when it looked like the arrows were starting to hit a bit too close to home, so she couldn't tell how much her raincloud was actually helping.

From the growing concentration of smoke in their wagon, it didn't seem like a lot. She almost snarled under her breath, wanting to finally stop being so damn useless all the time.

  14. Cold night, goddamn annoying rooster waking everyone up despite the not so desirable conditions everyone had to sleep in, and the threat looming in that prison were just the tip of the iceberg. The entourage was no Titanic, but one wrong move and their plan was for nothing. Alonso was not about to get his hopes up despite how tempting it was to lower his guard. Glancing over at the wagon with the rooster, the Felis made a slow pull on the reigns. His mount took a slower trot, and then even slower. Narrowed eyes continued to stare ahead, as though keeping up with multiple tasks, the looming shadow of his giant hand inching closer to the rooster's neck.

And then, a rushed D'Vangelline caused the Marquees to retract his hand in a swift motion.

"I'm hearing and seeing it right now. EVERYONE ON GUARD NOW," Alonso said, his voice reaching a level of booming that damn near caused him to have a coughing fit. He whipped his horse into shape, riding around and giving each wagon a good smack to make sure everybody was up, "Come on, come on! There isn't much time." Once he went through with that, the Felis rushed up towards the advancing bandits. He never attempted combat while on top of a horse, but right now he needed to learn, and fast. A perfect target came into view, a bandit steadying himself on horseback in order to jump onto a wagon.

    NOPE.

Alonso growled as he chased after the man who had failed to see the oncoming lion. The fool jumped off the horse, only to be met with Alonso's hand grabbing the man's face, "Bad move, asshole!" With that he increased the strength of his grip, throwing the bandit onto the ground. Poor bastard ending up getting trampled.

  17. Well, things had taken a sharp turn for the worse. The bandits had seemingly come out of nowhere and set one of the wagons on fire. She definitely didn't know what was going on anymore. Was this just a standard raid? It certainly didn't feel like it as the fire set by the bandits surely would have destroyed whatever cargo there was. No, there was definitely something else going on here. Well, she could ask someone else who knew what they were doing what was happening later. She decided to help put out the fire, father always said that smoking was bad for you, and it looked even worse for the wagon. Just as she was about to take a sip out of her tea canteen, a stray arrow knocked it to the ground where it would be lost to trampling hooves. Well then. Even though she hadn't even said anything in return, Aerana turned to @Magi Heart and said,

"Sorry to cut our conversation short, Miss, I must go."

Standing to her full height, which wasn't very impressive honestly, she drew the Copper Greatbow strapped to her back and planted it on the wagon floor. She wasn't really one for violence, she would much rather have a conversation or two, but considering that she had just lost an entire canteen of tea to these brutes... Some things were just sacred. She pulled a Greatarrow out of her pack and nocked it against her bow. As she was just about to fire, an arrow bounced itself off her Greatbow's frame. A bit of inspection and guesswork revealed the shooter to be a mounted bandit armed with a bow, looking directly at her. Ah, that must have been the one who had shot her canteen earlier, that it things easier to choose a target. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you and all that. She resighted her target and took the shot. The large arrow flew through the air rapidly before slamming into her intended target's shoulder. While the attack wasn't fatal by itself, the shot had enough force to knock the rider off his horse and onto the ground.

The battle was still raging as she saw another person get slammed into the dirt by a buff looking Felis (@Alonso Thorlion), but it looked like they were doing fine for now. As she watched @Verity and @Megan Tritor help put out the fires in Wagon #1, she idly wondered if she should do the same. She wasn't feeling particularly vindictive anymore and the fire was still raging.

  20. Burning Subtract 10 HP every time you post. 1/2

As @Aria approached their wagon, Jace gave a friendly smile and wave at his friend before he let two girls chat as he listened in. Though he was impressed at @Claire Thalassa's action just to log out to escape the capture. However, he had a bad feeling her escape might be short-lived. They are rescuing the imprisoned army that the king of Astoria assembled just to save a princess that became a lie.

    ----

Eventually, he decided to take a nap for a while before they can reach their destination. He wished it might be a smooth ride to it, but he was completely wrong. A fire began to penetrate the shade of the wagon as Jace felt the burning sensation in his skin right now. And it didn't help that he saw his HP being chipped down due to this new ailment. And just to make it worst, bandits started to attack the entourage, which made him even more irritated and worried at this.

Regardless, he had to act fast. The first thing he needed to do was to take care of the bandits about to charge onto their wagon. There was a fire, but if he focused on it first, then no one might able to defend the wagon itself. Opening his grimoire, he closed his eye and recited, "Mana of ferrum, slash through!"

With one wave of his hand, a blade made of mana appeared in front of him and fired it at the charging bandits. Once he was done, he turned to the nearest person (@Kaede Hoshi) and said, "Sorry to disturb you, but I need your help. Can you help me deal with these guys with me?" A help was really needed for him just in case he won't able to continue casting spells from the lack of energy.
