  3. A whinny from his mount indicated the beast's current freaking out. This whole situation was stressing him out, causing the man to lose focus as he tried to calm his mount down, "Enough already, just, goddamnit, CALM DOWN." Was she untrained for combat? He should not assume considering Esther's ways of speech, but this seemed abnormal for a horse that may very well have been in combat before. Whatever. He was not thrown off, nor did a bandit take advantage of the man's weakness. Taking a pause, shaking his head to gather up his focus again, Alonso lashed with the reigns an sent his mount into the fray again.

If anything, he discovered a bandit that had closed in and attempted to shoot an arrow at a closer range. "Might wanna look we're you're goin'," the Felis shouted as he charged his mount in the bandit's direction. Shaking his hand, it curled into its natural form of a fist, and swung it the guy. Unlike the first one he took down, he could not get his target off the horse. A failure upon first glance. Yet, the shot from the bandit's bow never went off, since Alonso's fist had collided with the pulling arm and interrupted the attack.

    It was something.

  6. Her body bounced, "Gah! God damn it!" the words escaped her mouth like a sailor out at sea. Her sweet angelic voice now cursed with a dark tonal energy resonant of your everday Bitch. But Vivian was not having any of that. She was just minding her own business then all this shit started to happen. Bright eyes turned maleficent as she stood from the rocking and weaving of her ride. The Wagon pushed hard on the ground picking up speed as she her shouts from the other caravans. She was not the first to make an action however, her other ride mates seemed to be thinking of one thing and that was helping the others.

Rolling her sweet blue eyes, Vivian got to her feet and swayed with the crash of the Wagon. Gritting her teeth and getting under solid ground for her feet, she was gonna get her revenge one way or another- so help her! Breaking free of the turbulence, harsh eyes squinted at the Bandits making their way towards their safe enclave. Vivian pierced those bandits with a sickeningly sweet smile, "Not so fast honey. You pissed off the wrong bitch today!"

With her hand stretching out and her eyes brimming with power and maleficent energy, the woman began a demonic chanting that was deemed worthy of another hellish world. Darkness began to seep from the ground around the bandit's horses. The film of blackness began to drive upwards from the ground. Hands like oversized ghastly skeleton hands breached the surface of the dirt road. One by one, the deathly grip of those noxious hands began to choke the life out of all the bandits that drove into her spell leaving behind a trail of death and decay. While she was slightly drained from the spell, Vivian held a look of pride on her face as she stuck her tongue out and flipped them off with her purple hair waving in the wind.

  9. _____Kaedé was not a fan of the rude wake up, Eyes quickly opening as she heard more horses and growled loudly. Enough was enough as she stood to her feet on the roof of the last wagon and watched the bandits with growing levels of anger. Frame moving quickly as Kaedé jumped from the roof of the wagon and soon landed on a nimble feet on the head of a bandit’s horse before kicking them as hard as she could to dismount them and moved to jump to the next horse with little trouble thanks to her rogue mastery before speaking.

”You fuckers need to know not to wake a girl up!”

_____Her comment shouted during her jump to a third horse, the last bandit from the second horse falling to the ground. Her third pray however suffer a bit worse a fate as Kaedé moved her hands in a almost blur before knocking the girl out and trying to stir the horse away from the fighting to avoid her getting trampled. Hands reaching to her lips to hold a bra that seemed to come from the girl before she jumped to the fourth target with her prize and rammed her head to the skull of the male before he could fire an arrow. Kaedé was moving fairly quickly and did not seem to have plans to slow down as she kicked the bandit off the horse and looked for the next target.

’Nobody hurts boobs on my watch!’ Her inner thoughts best kept as such as the girl got ready to jump again to her next target, the bra drifting in the air and Kaedé caring little for what people had to say about it.

  12. With her canteen of tea avenged, Aerana sought to help others instead of focusing on more shooting. Violence begets violence, and she didn't really want to start anything as she had come on top quite handily on the exchange of arrows. Any more would just be an invite to retaliation. She took a quick glance around, seeing the wagon still on fire when there were 6 people on board was a bit of an odd sight, but she decided that they might have other matters to attend to. There just werent enough hours in a day and a bit of fire never hurt anyone. Smoke was a different matter entirely however. Smoke meant good things, it meant that something was happening!, Although the something in this situation was a wagon on fire. Come to think of it, she had also set her house on fire the first time she had made something start smoking. Hmm. Well, she had things to do, best not to dwell on these kind of thoughts now.

She unplanted her Greatbow, returned it to its place on her back and started searching through her bags. Healing potions? Nope. Flask of lantern oil? Definitely not, but useful nonetheless. Aha, so that's where her flint and steel case went. She thought she had lost in the forest a while back! How fortunate, but still not quite it. After a couple more false starts, she finally got it. A flask of pure and clean river water. Shame that she had to use it on something like this but the river would still be there whenever she returned to it while the wagon would definitely not if the fire kept up.

Using her hand as a rough guide to distance and a bit of luck, she successfully chucked the flask of water across to Wagon #1 where it shattered and spilled its contents everywhere. Hopefully they wouldn't mind the shards of glass too much. The water seemed to help quite a bit as most of the smoke seemed to get less intense, the fire on the verge of dying out. For good measure, she gave the people in Wagon #1 a quick wave as a sign of good will. A white haired girl (@Claire Thalassa) was helping to put out the fire as well so she gave her another wave. Oh, she recognized @Jace Vale as assaulted the bandits, what was he doing here?

Right, time to get to work. Since her first rainstorm didn't do so well, then that only meant she had to do better. She cast a quick glance at the others in the wagon with her, determining that they wouldn't really have any capability to help with putting out the fire. Well fine, if they wanted to show off their skills, then might as well do it at something where they would be more help than hindrance.

"Just focus on the bandits, I've got the fire," she said curtly, standing up once more. It appeared that some people from other wagons had attempted to help as well, as the fire was notably smaller than she remembered.

Curling her hand into a fist, Claire repeated the incantation. This time she put a bit more focus into it, fueled by her sheer stubbornness to do better than she did before. This cloud was a bit more violent, and instead of just a shower of water this was accompanied by small hailstones impacting the top of the wagon.

Fire scorched at her, reminding her rather unpleasantly of that Azog nonsense a while back, but she ignored it and continued to cast. The water and ice slowly, but surely, beat back the flames and left their wagon mostly intact, if a bit drenched.

  18. Romulus sat within his assigned wagon and had not slept since, his mind was somewhere else as they travel to the mountains in order to rescue King Astor and the players who were with him that were trapped by brigands and assailants. The roads were quite bumpy but that wasn’t the only reason why he was unable to sleep, he was excited about everything, every minute spent in this world is him becoming younger and younger.

That peace was broken however by the sound of horses startled and distraught and people hollering. Apparently there was a group of mounted men tailing the entourage, there was no telling how many they were but for what he knows, this could have been an enemy ambush to halt their advance. This was bad, they had no time to take care of these bandits, they have to rescue the King and return as soon as possible before the forces of Falderen arrive to Astorea.

It was a disaster, at first there was fear in his heart but it only took him a few minutes to snap out of it, remembering that Magi heart was crying over worry and to think about himself was just plain selfish when he told her that he will help find her friend. First there was the calm, he inhaled and exhaled before coming out of the wagon to fight the bandits head on.

“HEAR ME! YOU WHO DARE ATTACK THESE PEOPLE WILL KNOW THE TASTE OF THIS BLADE!” He shouted off as he jumped forth to strike the first bandit with a war cry, slamming his spear down on one of them.

Vina giggled as @Seigi seemed to have reached her own special nirvana as the Felis allowed the girl to bask in the fluffiness of her tail. She had done her best to make her tail as fluffy as possible in character creation, so she was glad to see that it had the desired effect. She was also thankful that despite all her enthusiasm Seigi was still being careful with the tail, Vina smiling as she watched the girl enjoy her tail so innocently. It also looked like her little insinuation had flow straight over the girl's head, but Vina didn't mind since this was also very nice.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." She said once Seigi promised to remember it forever. The foxy Felis was amused by just how happy Seigi was, but she wasn't going to laugh since that might seem like she was making fun of the girl. Instead she just tilted her head when Seigi also asked for permission to play with her ears, the Felis considering it for but a moment before smiling and nodding. "Of course~ Just remember to stay careful. The ears are pretty sensitive." She leaned towards Seigi a little so the girl would have easy access to the large pointy ears, Vina twitching them for good measure before she'd hum happily.
    _____
When the attack began Vina was at first understandably distracted by the fact that the wagon was on fire, the Felis pulling her tail close so the fur wouldn't get scorched. However she was still feeling the heat, so she was very grateful when other people in the caravan quickly acted to help kill the flames. It looked like unless the bandits fired more of those fire arrows they would get out of this with only some scorch marks. Of course there was no reason to believe that it would be so easy, since if the bandits didn't have some other weapons available as well they wouldn't have been so daring to attack this caravan in the first place.

Vina would have liked to take care of the minor heat-based injuries that had affected everyone in the wagon, but it seemed like that would have to wait until they were no longer being chased down by the bandits. Instead the Felis looked out of the wagon to the chasing bandits, trying to figure out how she could best deal with this... Well, they were in a forest right now, weren't they?

Placing her hands together Vina focused for a moment, before roots began to sprout from the ground in front of the bandits, the Felis attempting to make their horses trip and fall. Considering her lack of experience it wasn't much, but it was better than just letting them run forward unhindered.

"Yes!" Seigi cried in joy upon being allowed to further introduce onto the Felis. Getting closer to @Vina Skysong before gently rubbing her ears. They had... a different feeling from the fluffy tail. Not as fluffy but adorable in its own way. Was it wrong to think of humanoids with animal ears and tails as cute in a 'pet' kind of way? Probably not.

"Hehehe...." Seigi giggled happily as she continued to spoil the Felis. Clearly this picture would have painted something completely different if Seigi was older looking. Though then again being 16 years old, at least in game, was nearly adult anyways, no?

Sooner or later, however, even the hero girl had enough of that. Though if she weren't sleeping there was no way she'd ever shut up... .

    ...

Suddenly, Seigi was on fire. Literally. Sure, it was just a few little flames here and there that created nasty scorch marks but combined with the soaring it was enough of a painful sensation that adrenaline pumped through her entire system! Completely unexpected, for a mere crucial seconds Seigi was simply dazed. This, after all, was her actual real first experience with the games pain-system. Obviously, being a heroic hero and all, the young girl had set it right onto realistic.

It was only with the combined effort of some watery-magicians that the fire was put out quickly. Quickly enough to stop any major incidents, yet, so late that Seigi could easily be called out for being a burden and having done nothing so far.

This only weighed on the girls mind for a few mere seconds before her eyes, in contradiction to her now wet attire, burned with determination. The sound of fight from outside made clear that things were happening. "LET'S GOOO!" Seigi cried out as a 'thump' sound above the wagon made them aware of someone having boarded the carriage.

Having noticed this Seigi, without further ado, made her way to one of the windows. Using the interior of the wagon to get a good hold before leaning her upper body outside, upward, to grab onto the edge of the roof. "Hiiyaaa!" With a quick burst of strength she pulled herself onto the wagon's top with a somersault like motion - not even thinking how defenseless she was in case of an enemy while doing this.

Turning around only confirmed that there was, in fact, a vile bandit! His appearance rugged and complete with a bandit mask! Luckily for her the evil villain seemed to be rather occupied. Trying to keep his balance as he aimed with what appeared to be throwing knives at one of the horses.

"SEIGI HYPER SPECIAL EXTREME!" The hero cried out not to announce her attack, but rather, right as her fist found a easy mark into the mans back, pushing him off the wagon. "JUSTICE... prevails! WITH GUTS AND EFFORT." Was she doing it right?

  27. It was the commotion outside of the wagon that captured Emil’s attention. His single blue eye blinked before glancing from the two singing/beatboxing nutjobs to the window outside. He could see remnants of smoke billowing past the window, the hazy grey tendrils indicating that something wasn’t going to plan. He immediately stood up, his face losing what little playfulness lurked in the creases around his eyes and mouth. His steps were sure as he made his way and, as he was apt to do, stuck his head out of the window.

The front-most caravan was on fire, the flames licking at the wood. The scent of charred wood fragranced the air and immediately had Emil’s eye watering. He pulled back, shaking his head to try and clear his vision, but not before the sound of an arrow hitting the side of his caravan registered in his mind. He blinked again, seemingly surprised to see the bandit riding alongside, one arm reaching behind his back to go for another arrow.

I don’t think so, friend, Emil whispered, the pages of his tome cracking open and glowing a luminous ivory color. The quill behind his air mocked the glowing color and he scribed with it in the air. An arcane rune appeared and shimmered red before he slashed through it, the rune disappearing in a shower of red embers. Outside, the horse gave a panicked scream as the spell took effect. There was the yell of the rider and then a sickening crunch as both fell end over front and lay still in the dirt.

  30. Needless to say it was a long night that probably would have been better spent trying to catch some sleep. Alric could feel the wave of sleep trying to wash over him until a rooster in one of the wagons ahead of his started making noise. Curling up, he would just have to try his best to ignore it.

Or so he thought. As if thing couldn't have gotten any worse the entire world around him began to go to hell. @Verity was the first to respond in their group, relaying what information he could before using his magic to help alleviate the situation. Alric’s muscles tensed up as he processed it all. Bandits. Lots and lots of bandits; all riding in the direction of their group and some even started to rain chaos down upon the players in the form of arrows as they closed in. Of course he was concerned about the other wagons but with a lack of practical skills for handling long distance battles, for now the best he could do was keep the members of his group safe!

“I'll take care of the ones who get too close!”

With one quick motion the swordsman drew his weapon from the scabbard fastened to his waist and raised his shield while rushing to the edge of the wagon. As he arrived he was greeted by a bandit reaching out to try and board their wagon but with a horizontal swipe from his blade he managed to cut the man’s chest and force him to retreat on his horse.

Zelrius' smirk disappeared; he had found the woman's response lack-luster at best, and not exactly becoming of some fun banter. So with that, he let the conversation die there, leaning back against the side of the wagon and listening for a moment to the talk of the drawn-cart. Every few seconds, the man would have to run a gloved hand through his golden hair, keeping it out of his face and eyes, the cart doing just enough jostling of him around to make it a consistent problem, one that was beginning to be quite frustrating.

He heard a question directed at him earlier, trying now to pinpoint its source, eventually settling his eyes on a Felis. His blue eyes scanned cooly only for a second, a small smile forming on his face as he saw the Felis slightly leaned down, and the child in the wagon reaching up to touch her ears. It was an entertaining site to him, atleast for a moment. With a defensive hand over the handkerchief, he spoke up, this time with far less hostility than he had done with Claire. "Its a long story, I got it from someone rather important, you see." With that, he gazed off toward Alonso and Jeanne, wondering what it was they could possibly be conversing about. He eventually lulled out in this state, falling asleep.

    ---

And then was promptly awoken by fire and shouting. It didn't take much thinking for Zelrius to realize that he would be the one on fire. Without much more thought after that he hopped up, Blue irises inspecting the situation. It was clear to him right away they were under attack; but his groggy mind still couldn't detect from what or comprehend exactly what was going on here. He quickly grabbed at his two scabbards, hopping forth to contribute to the fight, moving in to give quick slashes here and there, and then backing up to the side of the wagon for safety. 36. "I see..." The Felis Ranger listened attentively to what Claire had to say, Felis ears shifted to focus towards her direction. What troubling news, unsurprising but urgent nonetheless, the Mad King of Falderen had betrayed Astorea and in a way, waged war on all players. This meant the game just designated the biggest nation around to be their enemies. Whoever came up with the event's idea should be questioned really, this all felt too much. However, on the other hand, Aria couldn't help but feel excited, this was her chance to do something big, something that would matter. She had been goofing around too much, time to take things more seriously.

Then, one of the passengers sitting between Claire and the white-haired Felis with the fluffy tail, the boisterous blonde young girl, shouted out to her. "Eh...?" The Ranger tilted her head, mixed curiosity and amusement on her features as the enthusiastic girl studied her, very much like a child who had just received her Christmas present. "Ahaha~" The older girl gave a small smile, she already knew what would happen next judging from what she had seen, the 'Hero of Justice' would want to touch her tail. Too bad, first, she was mounted on a horse, there was no way Seigi would reach her, second, her slim tail was nowhere as fluffy as Vina's. In short, perhaps another time. Besides, she had to do her job, be a proper scout for the caravan, if there was a time to take things seriously, it was now.

As the group continued their journey, Aria couldn't shake the uneasy feeling brewing in her gut. Call it a Felis' intuition, she was sure this smooth sailing wouldn't last forever.

    The calm before a storm...

    ---

    Later on...

"Hmm?" The Ranger's keen eyes noticed the moving figures at the horizon, all around them, inching ever closer to the group. Her ears swished here and there, taking in the sounds of galloping hooves. Oh no... "Report!" She reined Artemis to approach the First Princess and Astorean Marquis, around the same time as the dark-haired human scout, "I second his report, Your Majesties, bandits!" The infamous Black Wolf Bandits, huh? Aria never heard of them but damned if she was going to let them jeopardize their efforts. Her imprisoned friends needed her and she would get there! Even if it meant putting an arrow through each and every skull of the raiders.

"Riders in the front, follow me, we'll intercept them and protect the wagons as much as we can, let's go! Let's go!"

Acknowledged, "Artemis, let's go!" The mare neighed as she galloped alongside Princess' D'vangelline's forces, joining the cavalry contingent. She readied her shortbow and quiver as they and the bandits closed the distance. Nocking an arrow, wobbling a bit due to her inexperience with riding a steed while aiming. Aria took a deep breath, held it, and took aim,

    "Let my arrow fly true!"

    skill
    Artemis' Flight

Score! She still had some Beginner Luck's left it seemed, her arrow whizzing through the air as it struck a bandit right on his chest, puncturing his leather vest, chest, then impaled his heart, slaying him. The sounds of burning wagon were caught by her Felis ears, oh no, but... she couldn't help them right now, they'd be alright. Right now, she had to focus on thinning out the bandit ranks as much as she could!

  39. Well fuck, wagon #1 was on fire, people seemed to be panicking from all over when they saw how high the flame got. Were people in wagon #1 even able to breathe or calmly deal with the problem? Well, they don't have to, because Quinn is on it. Since the wagons were running in a loose circle, Quinn stuck his head out of the wagon and focused his attention on the people in wagon #1, casting a minor illusion spell to make them feel as though they were naked in the middle of a snowstorm.

He wasn't sure if the spell hit any of these people, @Seigi @Claire Thalassa @Veradia Thoreau @Vina Skysong @Zelrius @Jace Vale, but he knew god would reward him for interacting with six people at once. He also checked in on them, "Yo, people in wagon #1, keep calm and imagine you're naked in a snowstorm!"

Then, Quinn shifted his gaze to the bandits who hollered as they caught up to his wagon with their speedy horse, which was terrifying. Thankfully, with a little gesturing of his hand and a quiet incantation, he was able to put two riders near wagon #4 into a daze. The spell made it so @Aerana and @Magi Heart became the idealized image of their fantasy, whatever that is.

Zelrius kept dancing in and out of the fighting, trying his best to add in his 3 cents and get this done and over with as quick as possible. The fighting itself was shaping up to be a real challenge for him; the AI or minds of the bandits, whether they be NPCs or Players, made for an actually pretty tough fight for the golden haired man all around. Still, sabres in both hands, he would move from end to end of the cart, leaping out from the side of it and then immediately backing up regardless of whether or not his attacks landed. This continued until something began to slowly change.

At first, Zelrius couldn't tell what, but it appeared as though snow began to fall. This almost instantly turned into a blistering storm; raging with wind and snow all throughout. Even weirder yet; It didn't feel as thought Zelrius was cold, despite the fact that the man now noticed he had no clothes on. Eyes widened as he looked around, a frantic attempt to look for his wagon mates, unaware of what was happening. Terrasphere had always been known for being consistent, but this seemed to go against that very notion. It had changed from a chilled Autumn morning, to what he could only compare as mid-december back in Boston. He shuddered, a sort of phantom feeling of cold washing over him.

Maybe it wasn't Terrasphere just randomly changing? Perhaps it was a spell by one of the bandits? Regardless, the golden haired man's insecurity washed over him, now huddling beside the wagon crouched, looking around frantically in worry, arms wrapped around his body. And just as quickly as it had began, the snow dissapated, and his fine clothing slowly faded back into existence. Wide eyed and bewildered, He stood back up from his crouched position, picking his swords up from the ground which he had dropped in his confusion.

"What the hell?" Was all he managed as he began to get back into focus.

  45. @Verity's wake up call had caught her off guard. When had she fallen asleep? She remembered vaguely when she'd tried to calm the fearful @Kaede Hoshi, but had that led her to slumber? No...That couldn't be it.

Well, it didn't matter now. Seeing @Alric Stalwart working to fight off the far-too-close-for-comfort bad guys, Solaria jumped up and opted to get behind him, quite literally- but then rushed to the other side of their wagon. "You take that side, I'll take this one, Alric! It's better if we use long swords to try to keep them from getting on in the first place, though. Keep them at bay!"

As if on cue, a bandit began riding close to her, leading her to draw her dual-sided blade, a new one she'd bought just in time for this particular battle. "Duo, it's on you. Let's teach these guys a lesson about riding out of their lane!" Opting for a wide strike, she used fair speed to go after the bandit and it's horse alike, hoping that attacking the horse would get it to move even without the bandit's consent.
