  3. Seeing that basically everyone in the ruined cart was rescued by others, Solaria took care of more bandits, though seemed to be struggling with a group of them coming at her. While the distraction was imminent with so many people's lives at stake, it wasn't the fact she was struggling to make her mind stay focused that kept her from doing well in the midst of the moment.

"Crap..." She groaned. Despite being surprisingly unharmed, she could see various of the rescue squad were likely in pain. Flames and ice combined were an unusual mix, but that was likely not even the worst of it, and that was something the elf knew well.

Slashing the bandits that took on her side of the wagon, the woman grumbled, moving to take out a medicine she'd once made that seemed useful with animals- or rather, good at distracting them...But she shoved it back in her pocket, before letting a bandit attempt to slash her only to fall instead of even being injured by her blade.

"I only managed to kick some of the weaklings out of the group...But this is ridiculous! Just how many are there, anyway!? Where did these guys come from?!"

  6. The sound of the destruction of the first wagon ripped through the night air and Emil couldn’t help but wince. There would definitely be some casualties when morning count came around. But he couldn’t worry about that; frankly, all he could worry about was his own hide. He didn’t know others in the game yet and had no close ties with anyone. He was here for the event – and possible loot – and to test out his class. So far, it seemed to hold its weight both in combat prowess and sustainability. After all, he hadn’t taken a lick of damage yet.

Dimly, he was aware of one of his compatriots jumping off the wagon to save someone who was, assumedly, falling from wagon one. Good luck to him. Emil instead tracked another bandit within his sights and mutters another spell, the rune once more drawn in the air and slashed through with the sharp tip of his quill. Ghostly claws extended from the ether in an attempt to swipe at the rider only for him to kick his horse into high gear and swerve away from the attack.

Damnit! Emil swore, mostly to himself.

  9. It may have been because of the previously received messages but time seemed to slow down for the blonde. When she came back to herself, she woke up from a long nap only to notice @Vivian Cruz approached her with fairly seductive movements that she’d need to keep in mind for use later. Who knows? Maybe she’d need them at some point down the line, right. Just when she was about to answer and disappoint the purple haired seductress, however, @Megan Tritor asked her a question she couldn’t just answer. Green hedgehog was a nickname, and she wasn’t quite sure if @Quinn would mind her spreading it to others. She’d better not, or those pictures of her gambling could end up in every Terrasphere player’s inbox. She'd expect anything after tasting that terryble pie the other night.

Perhaps she was thinking a bit too loud moments ago. Hands up to her shoulders she tried to deal with the situation somehow. “Befuddled and confused. My limited ability for communication only allows for so many answers at once, please wait a bit before I can answer anything els--” Crashing and shouts could be heard, and before she noticed it, the first wagon on the circle formation was being attacked by bandits. Indra stood up to assess the situation, but considering how everyone quickly reacted to the issues at hand, she prepared one of her spells.

Rather than using the system’s help to casting the spell, Indra opted to try it herself. Unintelligible words rolled off her tongue, and a blue magic circle formed below her in response. Tiny blue energy particles coalesced into a magical orb that was launched at one of the bandits knocking him down from his horse. When she turned her attention back to the others in the wagon, she realized things were getting a bit cramped in it, prompting her to hop to wagon #3. Upon reaching there, her eyes and ears caught notice of @Blithe Bombón's muse spell. Indra was fascinated by that — was singing magic a thing? Though she watched the fellow faerin with admiration, her expressionless face would end up making her admiration look like a plain, weird and cold stare. Jiiiii.

She really needed to deal with this problem.

The hot pursuit between the bandits and the entourage continued on, leading both groups toward a long stretch of swampland, where the only thing allowing them to cross was a long and narrow land bridge. Despite the hollering and sounds of combat, you could hear a low bestial growling on either side of the dirt pacth. Someone's terrible luck must have brought about this danger.

"Shit!!! Flying Gators!!! Brace yourself, brace yourself!!! It's Flying Gators' breeding season, they outta control!!!" You heard one of the bandits leading the front screaming. Before anyone could react to his words, a dozen of literal Flying Alligators flapped their wings and leaped from one side of the land bridge to the other, taking a few bandits and horses with them.

Although two or three Flying Alligators flew toward the wagons, Princess D'vangelline intercepted them, slamming her massive lance into their throat before she threw them off to the side like the flying garbage they are, displaying her monstrous strength for the first time.

However, the Princess unfortunately missed one juvenile Flying Alligator. It managed to bite into the wheel of wagon #2, chewing through the wheel. If it is not defeated by the next cycle, wagon #2 is going to break down and the entourage will take some damage.

Killing Gator: You carefully try and kill the juvenile flying alligator eating the wheel of wagon #2.

  13. Things were getting stranger, but Lucia could only shake her head, these kinds of bandits were the types she was most familiar with hunting after all. She'd often times hunted them to be able to build up corpses for her, though this one in particular seemed a bit more organized then she was used to and better equipped even, she was confident at the very least. With her wraiths still active she directed them to continue trying to kill their way through the group of bandits. "Idiotic people who have no eyes, Mortimer, try to cleave deeper, we can't waste too many resources here." She tried to enforce and push her Wraiths to fight harder against the bandits she was starting to despise more and more.

  16. Oh what a joyous occasion to be alive!! Bouncing up from his place he watched as @Moonbunny assisted the other lad over into their wagon for safe keeping. Placing a smile upon his face the male gave the girl a thumbs up before moving over to the entrance of their wagon, gazing at the burning first wagon he examined wagon two before winkling his nose. The situation was dire no doubt, but one step at a time right?

First things first was taking care of business on their end. Turning in an about face fashion the lad took note of a mounted bandit aiming to take hold of their wagon. Taking several steps forward Weissman wasted no time in planting his left foot back and the right foot forward. Pivoting his hips in a twist he punched out with full force; impacting his fist into the oncoming bandits face. Back and down with the man as Xavier looked around, he would need to help out else where no doubt.

Perhaps to assist wagon #2? Perhaps not he did not know how many were on that wagon load but if there was space he might as well put himself to work no?

  19. Seeing the juvenile beast latching onto the wheel of Wagon #2, he peered over at everyone who were trapped inside and thought he would do the right thing by saving them. To accomplish this, Quinn focused on channeling the illusion through his hand, making a gesture with his long pointer finger as he murmured an incantation under his breath.

First, he thought about how to remove the reptile from the wheel, @Indra immediately popped up in his head. Given that it was Gator mating season, he figured he can just turn her into a gator babe, which should stop it from sticking to the wheel. Granted, he wasn't going to just do it like that, so while he cast his spell, he opened his palm menu with his left hand and furiously tapped against the virtual keyboard, sending his vic- friend a message.

    img
    Quinn
Oy, Roomba, roll up a newspaper or something because there's gonna be a gator coming your way, make sure to smack it real good... if you don't it's just going to go back to nipping on the wagon wheel, ya got it?

    @Indra

Once he's finished his spell, he alerted the Flying Alligator, "Wouldya look at that gator babe, look at her well-endowed wings and that shiny setta scales, I never thought I'd seen a gator babe so fine, ooh-whee!"

Then come the illusion to trick the juvenile gator into letting go of the wheel.

  22. Jiii-?! Indra was so engrossed by the muse’s singing that she forgot to take action once again, the commotion and flying gators snapping her back to reality in a jiffy. Apparently, the entourage managed to deal with the monsters somehow , but a infant gator still managed to bite and munch onto one the wheels of the second wagon. In response, the blonde prepared her previously used spell once more, though properly aiming at the creature was getting a bit hard for the arcanamancer. Impatient. One, two, one, two, one, three-” Indra messed up her counting and concentration method as her inbox UI flashed with a ping. The magic circle and the energy below her feet shattered like glass, fading into nothingness.

“Sulky. You just managed to break my spell incantation...” She muttered under her breath as she fiddled with UI commands, opening up her inbox, “Worried. What does that hedgehog plan to do...“ Truth be told, she skimmed through the message. Considering how they were in a dire situation, she couldn’t stand and stare at the little interactive squares for too long.

A chill ran down her spine and her ahoge stood straight up when she heard the flapping of wings and a nerve-wracking hiss coming her way. Turning to the source of the sounds, she readied her mace. “Gyaaaa. Begone thot, enjoy your breeding season alone.” Energy coalesced on her mace, and a swing of her weapon repelled the creature back, though it did not manage to kill it.

  25. With one victory came something else entirely. As the purple haired Malefimancer squinted her eyes, she could see that the caravan was being lead into the marsh. "What the hell is the leader thinking driving into a swamp like this?" The woman jerked her head back to look at what was going on up ahead. She grimaced when she heard flying gators and her eyes widened at the perplexity of that single statement. Alligators...that fly.

"Holy shi-" They were like a swarm of locusts flying into the air from deep into the marshland. The swamp bred these dangerous creatures, and she was unaware that anything like this was possible. But in a game where fantasy meets anything, this was something she had not expected to be true to that fact.

Biting her lower lips, Vivian's voluptuous body was almost thrown overboard from the crash of her wagon. Looking back, she saw one of those nasty things attempting to break off one of the wheels. "You gotta be kiddin' me!"

Getting one hand on the pole of the wagon, she twisted her legs around and shuttled herself around as the bumps of the ground and the splash of muck and water sprayed the land. Disgusted, the woman slowly began to chant her one hand moving in a pattern that simulated from her previous cantor. Darkness rolled around her arm and then a sickly purple triangle appeared in front of her. Her eyes glowing like a venomous light, the words of sprouted Hellish tongue began to unravel into the air as the calligraphy of her enchantment became mystified. With the final words chanted, out shot razor sharp projectiles that looked like misshapen bat wings. Plunging into the depths of the alligator's hide and taking a huge chunk of life with it, but unable to truly defeat it with one shot.

"Shit! We might need help over here!"

After being struck with a phantasm, a mace, and dark magic, the Juvenile Flying Alligator decided to let go and fly away, not wanting to get killed before it found a real gator babe. Although, it locked @Indra @Quinn and @Vivian Cruz in its eyes, swearing to return for revenge one day.

The Flying Alligator is now gone. Wagon #2 is safe when cycle 3 rolls around.

    Cycle 3: The Chase II

The chase was becoming more desperate as the horses began tired from having to run at such speed while being attacked at the same time. As the speed of the chase slowed down, the damage of the clash between the entourage and the bandits escalated in damage (mostly for the entourage).

    img
    Scout
"Your majesty, please hold fast, we are about to leave the enemy's territory, from what I know about these bandits they won't engage in an open battle with anyone outside of their territory, we just need to survive until we get out of this forest area!!!”

    img
    D'vangelline de Falder
Knowing that the battle was getting more desperate and dangerous the moment they started to charge through the swampy area, D'vangelline couldn't lead properly and had to hover around the wagons to protect the players from the swamp beasts that the bandits kept. Thankfully, it turned out to be just as bad for them as it was for her and the entourage. Whistling to @Alonso Thorlion and @Aria since they where the only two mounted units in the group of players. If they came toward her, she would immediately cut to the chase.

"Follow me and my riders. We'll run ahead of the wagon and turn back for a direct confrontation with them while the wagons speed ahead. We have a special formation to counter their reckless pursuit like this, if we succeed, it will deal a huge blow to the enemy. I would like to ask you, to charge with the shielded lancers in the front while I want you to be in the back, archeress."

Once she had established a rough and reckless strategy, the Princess shouted for the rest of her men to follow after her and assume the 'spearhead' formation where they would break the enemy's line using her as a focal point. She of course waited until they got out of the swamp area. As the road expand in width, she set her plan into motion.

After she sped ahead of the pack, D'vangelline immediately pulled out her gold-embellished shield with the Falderen royal heraldry on it and and couched her massive lance before she veered her mount around and began to charge directly at the line of bandits.

"Spearhead formation! Shield up! Couch your lance! Hold fast! Brace for impact! Break through their front now and fight!!!" the Princess roared her command.

While D'vangelline charged directly at the enemy with her followers, another group of bandits with very fast horses broke off and circumvented the riders, zipping past her to assault the wagons. Their goals were to bring down the wagons so they can engage the entourage on the group where they would obviously win, given their mounted strength.

One of the bandits took out a spell scroll from the lining of his coat and began to recite a spell before he conjured a massive, swirling ball of fire. After he caught up to wagon #6, we tossed the ball of death into the inside of the wagon blowing up its top and began spreading the fire everywhere within.

A several daring riders also boarded the remaining spaces in the other wagons as well, directly fighting the people inside while their allies are helping on the outside.

    Cycle 3 Status

All posting are now refreshed, you still get 2 posts per cycle per OOC account. How this cycle works is that every cycle that follows the DM will roll a number of dice to determine how much damage the entourage takes. D'vangelline and her riders will be helping the group by attacking the bandits as well. Sometimes, a special event may happen in the middle of a cycle.

Wagon: There are currently FIVE (5) wagons altogether; you generally will be interacting with people in your wagon.
    • You may ride on your mount if you preferred.
    • There is a limit of 6 people in a wagon.
    • Wagon #1 has been destroyed,
    • Wagon #6 is on fire (Roll d6: 6). If the fire is not put out within 8 hours, it will spread to 2 adjacent wagons.
    • Wagons can be destroyed. When that happen you must hop to another wagon that is not full.
[ Entourage's HP: 634/2030 ] If this number ever hit zero, the bandit crash the entire entourage and kidnap everyone for ransom. You can raise this number by doing things that helps the entourage run away or to help it recover from the attack.

[ Bandits' HP: 1568/3000 ] If this number ever hit zero, the bandit has taken so many casualty that they will will stop chasing and attacking the entourage. You can bring this number down by engaging in combat or using your skill to sabotage the bandit riders.

And suddenly, flames were consuming her, making her dig into her inventory for something to stop the burns. Bottles of salve after bottle of salve, she seemed to have mostly ones that helped with stamina and general health, not flames. "Crap, crap, crap!" Scolding herself, she finaly found something. "This should help quite nicely..."

Taking the potion she'd made days before in preparation, the Yladian began to shake the bottle, letting a foam of some sort sizzle into the flames until they lowered their guard. It wasn't much of a repellent, but it was something.

"We're gonna need a lot more where this came from. Anyone got a fire blanket? And for that matter..." She glanced to those around her wagon. @Kaede Hoshi, @Verity, @Claire Thalassa and @Alric Stalwart all looked okay- besides the notable flames trying to consume the lot of them, that was. 34. The entire time, Aiko thought that she had managed to select a wagon where she was the sole passenger. That was why, one could only imagine how surprised the Felis was when she released a sudden yelp after hearing another voice inside the wagon .

Nervously shifting towards the source of the voice, Aiko came face to face with... a woman that looked like she was desperately trying to fight nausea. It couldn't be... could it? Even though she looked like an adventurer, could she actually be experiencing motion sickness even though they were inside this simulated world?

That's some interesting information in of itself. It meant that traits of people in real life could still affect them even though they were inside a virtual environment.

"Are you okay? You don't look so good?" Aiko asked the blonde girl nervously.

The caramel-haired Felis could feel her jaw drop after hearing the sickly blonde spout stuff about merely being a tourist in all of this. For some reason, the girl had gotten mixed up in this rescue mission oblivious to the true nature of this expedition. Heck she thinks this is all some sort of tour for crying out loud.

"Hey miss... this isn't a sightseeing tour... We're on a rescue mission to save captured adventurers from the hands of traitorous Falderen forces. Needless to say, things are gonna get real hairy real quick so better stand back if you're not prepared for a good fight." she said to the Blonde while smiling gently.

Several hours after the entourage embarked on their journey, chaos rained upon them as a large group of bandits decided to attack their convoy. Fighting erupted immediately and even a wagon was destroyed throughout the chaos. Perhaps the flying gator was the weirdest thing that happened but it was thankfully repelled by the collective work of the adventurers. Even the blonde tourist had been more of a help than Aiko was, considering she spent majority of the battle panicking due to uncertainty of how she could help.

Needless to say, the convoy sustained a lot of damage and the Felis was now doing everything she can to reduce the damage the Bandits are doing to her wagon. Without so much as hesitation, she climbed to the roof of the wagon and held a defensive stance. Using her staff and her Guard mastery, she would repel any oncoming projectiles that threatened her wagon. In doing so, she would need the power of her Chaos Shard to aid her in this endeavor.

  37. Hearing @Quinn's callout, she shook her head slightly. She was quite done with violence for now, after all, she and the bandits could break the chain of hurt and get hurt after their mutual exchange. She watched in concern as another fire started to break out, and she didn't have any water left. As she was about to rifle through her bags once more, it turned out the cycle of vengeance was not quite satisfied. Upon seeing her using a huge Greatbow and striking down one of their own, some of the bandits targeted her in their next barrage of arrows. While none of them found her flesh, they did ruin her cloak and dress a bit. That was no good, not one bit. First her tea, then her clothes. Truly, did the injustice ever stop? Well, if they wanted to play this game, she could oblige them. They sullied her dress and so, she would sully their clothes in return. Part of her suspected that they minded dirt significantly less than she did but it was the principle of the matter rather than the actual impact.

Retracing her steps to once again get her Greatbow ready and primed to fire, she sent an arrow straight into the ground nearby a bandit who she was pretty sure one of the couple that shot at her. Said arrow would kick up a little dirt from the impact and maybe blind him for a few split seconds due to the dirt but no lasting damage was done. She was satisfied once again but things were rapidly degenerating. She decided to keep her Greatbow out and use it as a bit of cover against any retaliation. It was of tough construction, it would be fine she thought. She peaked slightly out of her impromptu barricade in order to assess the situation again when an arrow flew dangerously close to her head and a single, cloth rose fell to the floor. Her eyes, and grip on the Greatbow tightened dangerously.
