As the wagon beneath her broke down, Claire grimaced. Damn it! She didn’t think she could make it out in time before it crumbled to pieces.

The world suddenly tilted sideways as she was pulled off the breaking vehicle and onto another one nearby. After catching her breath again, she looked to her savior, @Alric Stalwart, and sighed in relief. “Thank you,” she said. “Guess they don’t like any of us, judging from all the effort they’ve gone through to try and capture us all.”

Casting a glance back towards the remains of the first wagon, it looked like everyone else she was with had also managed to make it out of there before they got stuck. Good. Something instinctual tugged at her to make her want to find them again, but she ignored it as best she could, instead turning to survey this wagon.

After that ridiculous crocodile had been driven off the other wagon, it didn’t look like much had changed. Bandits still chasing them, they were still running on ahead. But otherwise-

    Boom!

“You’re. Fucking. Joking,” she growled, as the small explosion set this wagon alight yet again. She had only just got put out of fire herself, and now she was set ablaze again?!

@Solaria tried putting out the fire. She did a decent job, but it was still blazing. Ignoring her sleeves burning on her arms, Claire spat out the incantation again. Anger made it less of a rainstorm and more miniature blizzard now. She didn’t care whether it hurt people in their group or not, she was just sick of all this damn fire.

  6. Wreckage ahead of them; Vivian's hair blew with the wind causing her to squint from the smoke formed from the remains of the first wagon. Her steely eyes rolled and she shook her head, it was bad enough this entourage was coming to pieces as the others were picking up and helping others into the wagons. Vivian had been doing her part and had yet to have so much as a bite to eat.

Fingers coiled around the steel pole of the wagon as she weaved her body back inside to make sure nothing was being burned inside their own caravan. Nodding herself and giving a flip of her wild, purple hair, the female Malefimancer once more poked her head outside to see what going on.

At the side of her caravan she could see the mounted units making a charge straight through the enemy Bandits, "They are gonna need a little help." She was exhausted already giving so much for these people she didn't even know. A high reward better be in place for all this spell slinging she had been doing.

Swinging her arms in wide circles, her fingers pointed through invisible dotted spots of her spell circle as it began to twist and turn around fabricated by a voluminous black fog. Her eyes began to glow once more, her smile a sweetly evil. These bandits were NPCs, common knowledge was that they abhorred Malefimancers. It was time for their reckoning!

The busty woman took a step forward as her spell circle twisted and bent with her hands. With a thrust of her toned arms, the spell circle collapsed and immediately expanded outwards and grew. Her red lips parted as she spoke a chant, brimming her power to its fullest potential as it could at the moment. Hand raised to the air as she called upon Hades, Beezelebob and a slew of other Hellish names to her beck and call. Thundering above her came her spell circle, demonic hands spewed forth from the skies grabbing the riders by their necks and then squeezing the life out them until their bodies turned to ash and dust equally. Heaving lightly from the exertion of her spell, Vivian fell to one knee as a bead of sweat rolled from her cheek watching as the demonic arms weaved through the air and crashed into the Bandits without a second thought.

He didn't know what's more painful: the burns from the previous wagon he was in or the painful landing after @Moonbunny grabbed him with a... pincer claw? Okay, that might be the weirdest skill he ever saw, but it did help him out of that crashing wagon. However, it didn't help that she fell unconscious after she saved the others. Guess even motion sickness can take out anyone out of the battle. "O-Okay... Just stay put and try not to overwork yourself."

But just as he can turn his focus on the bandits, he quickly noticed that the entourage was now overpowered by them while one of the wagons were also burning. If he let this sight ignore in favor for the bandits, then this chase will turn to the bandit's favor. Realizing this, he aimed his hand at the incoming arrows heading straight to them. "Animo, defend!"
    skill
    Telekinetic Shield

With that, the arrows were stopped with his telekinetic spell as held them mid-air for a few seconds before he let them drop to the floor. Despite he relaxed a bit, the burn didn't let him take a few breaths as he gripped his shoulder while he tried to let it heal by itself.

  12. That was it. She had it with these bandits. Ruining her clothes a bit was annoying but acceptable. Spilling her tea was unforgivable and was thus accordingly matched. Now, defiling one of the cloth roses on her hood? That. Was a sign of war. She could see that one of the bandits was wearing a particularly fancy hat. Let's see how they liked it when the same thing happened to them. Pure conviction ran through her veins as there was but one desire in her mind. She slightly lifted her Greatbow to distance itself from the wagon's constant bumping against the road. She would need absolute precision for her plan to work. The arrow was sent loose and instead of knocking off the bandit's fancy hat, it buried itself into his skull. The fatal blow combined with the force of the attack once again knocked anither rider off their horse. The body slammed into the ground before tripping up another horse and off went another rider who got caught up in a wagon's wheels.

    skill
    Awakening

That... wasn't quite what she had in mind and she quickly ducked behind her bow again to avoid the inevitable retaliation. When she got aboard the wagon, killing three people wasn't quite what she was expecting to do. Such thoughts were banished from her mind by a couple arrows who were unerringly close to hitting her, it looked like some of them really had it in for her now. Then again, it was only a few arrows, nothing too serious if their track record with accuracy was to be trusted. But even if she was hit, she had a couple healing potions in her bag. The loud creaking and squealing sounds below her feet were a bit... concerning though. Hopefully the group would drive off the bandits and she would be able to get off at the next stop before everything broke down. She was quite a long way from home...

  15. Upon the princess's whistle, the Marquees rushed his mount towards the woman he vowed to escort. There was not time to second guess the tactical input of another noble. Alonso had no reason to doubt D'Vangelline anyways, feeling an air of youth akin to his own daughters. "Charging straight forward has its downsides, but you do imply this is a formation your soldiers have worked on. No disagreement here. If anything goes wrong I'll try and lead some of the lancers away so we can regroup later," the Felis said. That all said, he kicked his mount's thighs to begin routing his own position. Everything needed to be perfect the first time through. There will be no second takes.

He did not have any sort of weapon aside from his fists. Most of the time that was enough, but Alonso knew he needed to make sure his own charge struck a heavy blow during this attack. Any stunt requiring acrobatic or athletic ingenuity needed to be timed and judged right before the charge made contact with the enemy. Dangerous, yes, but the man could not think of any other options. Glancing at a few soldiers, he said, "Ready yourselves. At the Princess's command we will charge into the enemy ranks with lance and shield out." If anything the mountain of muscle was able to set up those willing to assist.

Soon, and not soon enough, the time came and D'Vangelline unleashed her orders. Looking over at @Aria, the cat man shouted, "Do not fall behind and know your duty!" Within moments, he found himself charging alongside the front lines of this special formation. His arm rolled within the socket of his shoulder, ready to slam into any poor bandit who dared to be in his way. A few of them at once in a clothesline will also be a marvelous way to dish out some damage.

  18. Romulus seemed to manage to held off the attack with his own. Virtual blood course throughout his virtual body as the adrenaline builds up, so this is what its like to experience this world! He’d praise with joy with his battle cry as he hacked and smite his way through the enemy ranks. That was until suddenly from out of nowhere, flying gators.

Romulus stopped only to bare the expression of either terror or utter disappointment and disbelief that such creatures exist. Was there any mention of such hybrids in mythology? Not even he knows but he has a role to play in all this as it seems like the bunch was focused on a different target. So far Wagon 4 hasn't been touched but with all the battle and turmoil going on, he had to prioritize protecting the wagons and defend against the multiple attacks coming from different enemies.

The entourage had taken quite a blow and if this keeps up, they will be overrun.

“YOU SHALL NOT STOP US!” He raised his lance in proclamation of his zeal, rallying and inspiring allies to fight onward and suppress the enemy while the Princess, Duke Alonso and Aria would spear head and break through their ranks.

“FACE UTTER ANNIHILIATION!” His spear glowed with energy, behind him was a surge of wind blow backwards as cause for the force of his attack.

“ROOOOOMAAAAAA!” A powerful blast from his spear a strike so powerful it sent a group of them flying towards the trees. He stomped on the ground in declaration as if he’s challenging more of them.

However his spear broke as it doesn’t have the durability to perform another attack such as that, clicking his tongue he retreated back to the wagons hoping to provide whatever he can do to help.

This? This was all bullshit. She summoned basically a localized snowstorm over the entire fire and wagon she was still on fire. Slapping the flames out of her clothes, ignoring the tender singed flesh underneath, Claire grit her teeth and cast her spell again. By god she was going to put this damn fire out or she was going to die trying. Did you hear her, whatever sick god was listening in, this fire was going to go out or she would-

A tiny sputtering geyser of water--barely enough to be called a geyser--erupted from her hands and she had to actively fight the urge howl in frustration. Fine, whatever, there was that thing about not being able to properly concentrate on her casting the more emotionally worked up she was, or not being of a clear enough mind to properly cast the spell or whatever. But in her mind that was no excuse for just how poor of a job she had been doing.

She hurled the blasted puddle-in-all-but-name at the fire, listening to the sizzle as it connected. But the fire kept merrily burning on, oblivious to the fact that it was the source of all her frustration.

She was worthless. Couldn't even put out a damn fire while her friend was being held captive, couldn't do a damn thing.

Regardless what was happening on the battlefield. Magi Heart was unable to do much more then she was. Her young face was twisted in strain as she held her arms out to her sides and continued to pour her mana into the yellow heart shiield. The wagons were still receiving too much damage! Her energy was already starting to drop. Why was it that her magic seemed to drain energy at such a constant rate? Honestly, Magi kind of wished her magic worked differently.

The a bunch of flying alligators came! Wait... huh? Magi watched as flying.... flying alligators came and began to attack the wagons. Then the (@Raid Master) princess showed up and, well, totally beat them up. It was actually really neat if a bit mean to the flying reptiles. One happened to get through but it ran away after awhile. That was good because flying gators were pretty cool beans and Magi wanted them to not go extinct or something! Magi's focus landed on the Falderen Princess for a moment. Even from this distance... she was beautiful and strong. She did not feel bad about fighting the monsters at all. She also was killing bandits left and right... didn't she care that they were people too. As a princess... shouldn't she be trying to show them that love is better than hate?

"She's not a magical girl princess. I need to focus here... c'mon Magi stay focused. Wowzers... You're the only one that is worried about this stuff. People need you Magi..."

She muttered to herself as she refocused her shield. Perhaps if things were not so cruel or there was time to talk. The magical girl would have a chance to see the princess in a better light. Since surely, a princess of all people would understand her more than others right? Sadly, that was not the case.

Again, none of it mattered. Once again Magi poured mana into her shield as she had been. This hopelessness was getting really tiring...

  27. Upon returning to his wagon, he saw the little girl he met earlier doing her best to maintain the defense of the wagon. Poor heart, she is in grief because of the situation and was doing to the best of her abilities, doing this all for the sake of a friend she wishes to rescue. Seeing her tear up and yet hold on to hope angered Romulus and put him in a fit of rage as he grabbed the closest enemy and punched them hard in the face, grabbing their pike lance and killed them with it, then he proceeded to wield the pike lance and defend the wagons from being overrun.

“HOW DARE YOU!!!!” A few swings, and a twirl of the lance he deflected the arrow projectile and knocked off and impaled a few of them off the wagon’s path. If this was his daughter, he’d be so triggered as to go on the verge of complete bloodlust. He was like a lion who roared out, asserting his dominance, the more Magi heart grieved, the angrier and the more powerful his strikes become.

“REMOVE YOURSELVES FROM THIS WAGON!” He turned over to Magi heart. “Steel yourself girl, ROME PROMISES TO SAVE YOUR FRIEND!!”

  30. The good news was that it seemed like everyone had managed to get off the ravaged wagon before it completely fell apart, so everyone was still in the caravan. The bad news was that they now has a lot less space to work with, and beyond that they had to swerve to avoid hitting the remnants of the broken wagon. Fortunately that seemed to go off without a hitch, but the bandits were still chasing them and while it looked like they had managed to inflict some damage to them it wasn't enough. They were still chasing, and from Vina's perspective things weren't getting much better. No matter how much they might have hindered the bandits it seemed the caravan as a whole was in a worse shape, and with the revelation that there was a mage amongst the bandits things most likely would get a lot worse still. For example, flying alligators weren't exactly what you would call good news under any circumstances, never mind when they began eating your wheels.

When one of the other wagons caught fire Vina sent them a small prayer, but unfortunately there wasn't a lot she could do to help them. Even if she hopped over to them she wasn't really suited for dealing with fire, since the only effective magic she had right now was the magic of life, which wasn't what you wanted when you were dealing with fire. Instead she looked around at the people inside this wagon. Some of them, like herself, had already been scorched by the flames that had eaten away at the first wagon to fall. Others seemed to be doing fine, although when @Megan Tritor yelled that it wasn't her that had broken the other wagon Vina shook her head. "Don't worry, we know it wasn't you. The bandits have a mage as well."

Comforting words aside (for a given value of comforting) Vina couldn't just sit here and watch. Since the ones who were mounted instead of riding the wagons were planning an charge straight into the bandits throwing up more roots wouldn't be very smart, leaving Vina with few options but defensive ones. On the other hand, she had chosen Naturamancy because she wanted to be a healer, so in that aspect maybe this was a good opportunity. Sitting in the middle of the wagon and away from the fighting Vina placed her hands together and began to sing softly, a soft green glow first enveloping her hands and then expanding, nearly invisible due to Vina's limited experience but still there to alleviate pain. Considering how she was still starting out it would do little in the sense of actually removing wounds, but at the very least it'd make it easier for the ones doing the fighting to keep doing so.

  33. Zelrius was stunned for a moment, he knew the wagon was burning, but there was so much going on. So far, it did not seem like today was in his favor. Between the burning cart, the Bandit attack, the long and mostly restless night, he had no idea what to do with his movements anymore. There was the possibility to keep warding off the bandits, though that was quickly cut short as he was grabbed and then was in the air. Shortly after he was on another wagon as the the one he was on and had slept in fell apart and into a bunch of pieces.

He was bewildered, not quite expecting that turn of events. He turned to see the person who had saved him and it was that Felis, @Vina Skysong from earlier, the one who had inquired about his scarf the night before. Though the more clear image he had was of that little girl rubbing and touching just about everywhere. Impulsively, the man leaned forward with a gratuitous hug, giving a hard squeeze in emotion before breaking away and scanning the area at hand. Slowly gathering his bearings, Zelrius decided that it was no use to work on the bandits anymore; listening as the riders had decided for the entourage that the way to go would be escape. No worries by him

The gap left by the first wagon in between the 6th and 2nd ones was slowly closed, and the man hopped over and away from his Foxy savior, now going to help this wagon with putting out the fire. He began moving from @Verity, @Claire Thalassa, @Alric Stalwart, and @Solaria One by one, trying his best to snuff out any fire he could from around them.

  36. Blithe didn't even know what to say as a flying gator seemingly popped out of nowhere. She stared for only a second before bursting into loud giggles, leaning over the side of the wagon once again to watch the scene at hand, "Fight, fight, fightttt!~" she cheered on her fellow adventurers, becoming mesmerized with the scene at hand before the gator flew away just as fast as it had arrived. She pouted a little, as if disappointed the cute gator had to leave so soon, before turning back to the wagon and setting a hand on her chin, tapping it in thought.

She jumped at the sound of something setting fire and turned quickly to spot a wagon closer to there's light up in flames as quick as the first one had gone. This was obviously not a good thing, of course, seeing as they were quickly running out of extra room for others in the wagons that were already full. They needed some help, and they needed to heal. So Blithe decided to do the only thing she could do: Sing and dance. Taking position in the wagon again and preforming a cute little peppy dance with some cheery lyrics, she once again could only hope that the melody reached the others in Wagon 6.

She would've sung a little louder if it was not for @Romulus, who was practically screaming over her tune. She pouted over at him as he did so, understanding he was trying to protect but he need not do it so loudly. It messed her up for a good couple minutes, and her song wasn't quite as strong as she meant it to be, "Hey, can you please please pleaseeee be a little quieter? Trying to assist here. Merci~"

_____Turning her head slightly to see the group getting further away Kaedé could only growl at herself for forgetting this was not a battlefield but an attempt escape and rescue mission. Making her way to start running after the group before placing all her strength into jumping up and getting onto another one of the bandit’s horses and kicking the rider off to be trampled. Looking around at the not so favorable terms of the group she began to try and make her way closer to the group, hopping her way back to the wagon she had left from to smell fire.

_____Looking down slightly to see her prize on fire she allowed it to drop slowly from her mouth, face growing with rage as the girl spun around to face the bandits and rushed back out of the wagon without much time of waiting, her eyes glowing with rage and almost embers as a spirit decided to talk to the girl and she was all the more happy to start chanting to use the spell he was offering. Not long after her frame ignited and the girl crash landed on a bandit’s torso setting him on fire.

It was never good when she let her emotions scale and after a few moments of what seemed to be her freezing up on one of the horses going wild she grinned and kept moving. Hand slamming to face of a bandit to start burning it away before tossing him aside and making a second comment with a loud voice.

”I know there was a woman here before, I need another toy.~ Come out, come out wherever you are!” Kaedé split personality was woken up, Athea was not as nice and was far worse to be dealing with as the girl jumped to the next bandit and gave him a strong kick to the jaw to dismount him while in search for her toys.

Thanks to the help of a few different people, Solaria was thankful to find the fire finally beginning to lack any signs of life. Her own sleeves had been slightly aflame, but she managed to get rid of it with some remaining fire-retardant sludge from her bag of potions.

Looking to those that were injured by the flames, she offered a salve to each, including @Zelrius who'd come to their aid. She followed his with @Claire Thalassa's. "That was some good work you did! That fire didn't stand a chance with the lot of us working together! But..."

Glancing to those that had opted to keep the attack going, she groaned. "We can't make them do all the work alone. I'll start getting to taking care of injuries. Just...Gimme a minute to stop the burning. It still kind of hurts." To @Verity, @Alric Stalwart and @Kaede Hoshi she offered some salve as well, but was tired while doing so, saying little more than a couple words to express what it was.

  45. Suddenly, after Seigi`s diplomatic approach clearly failed, things started to escalate. First, there was some sort of vile ice magic that ripped the car in two! The poor heroine-in-training had no way on holding onto her balance as she crashed into the interior again, soon to be left in the dust.

"H-Huh?!" It was then however that another heroic hero, @Yuichi Ichinose, grabbed the small girl before jumping towards the safety of another wagon. Having been treated like a sort of ragdoll, the girl soon had a solid Foundation below her feet. More solid than the last one at the very least.

"Thank you very much! Your heroic deed shall not be forgotten and repaid in kind!" Seigi put a fist on her chest, like a sort of salute, before bowing down. Sure, she was 100% aware that even if things would have gone south she was way too awesome to die, but that didn't mean she was so full of herself to play down much needed help! After all, being sold as a slave didn't equal death... .

"You may call me Seigi Ling Ling! Hero of Justice! Defender of the Weak! With Guts and Effort." Having taken the time to shortly introduce herself, despite the situation, to everyone that was on the Wagon #5 Speedwagon her eyes caught glimpse of something else.

"I-Is that a bird?!" Secondly, a flying something was to be seen in the sky! A goddamn "Flying Alligator!" The girl's eyes sparkled upon making this realization but knew better than to just simply fawn and be useless. Regardless, if she were to ever have a mount now it had to be one of those. No matter what, the sole exception being flying Tigers.

The gators disappeared as quickly as their appearance was. With them gone things were finally only getting worse. There were to be bandits everywhere. Below the wagons, above the wagons, inside the wagons... things truly looked grim... yet.

Anyways! A Hero had no time to rest. Going into a squat, Seigi gathered enough momentum as she made the shortest dash in her own history to jump off the ground and plant both of her feet into a bandits face that was just about to board the wagon."SEIGI DROP! EHH?" Little did Seigi expect as the bandit held onto her feet, essentially dragging her out, too.

Grabbing onto some random part of the Speedwagon she barely held on as she kicked him rapidly. "Get off me!"
