It's not actually impressive. I just did it since I originally wanted to play this game out of curiosity. I did plan to leave the game, but recent events changed my mind over it.

The events in Druuk Island wasn't his best day he ever had, but it made him wake up from his cynical look at Terrasphere's world around him. Not to mention how he realized that the NPCs are very much the same as the players themselves, not just for their AI and the similarities of the world's viewpoint.

I would try making some tea before bed. Helps me calm my nerves before another day. And I would try logging out for the night, but with our current situation right now, I'll try to stay here for a night until we rescue the captors. There might be a chance someone or a monster will ambush us and I rather not leave myself defenseless. Though I will log out for a few minutes to refresh myself offline.

Considering that staying in the game was more akin to a real-life coma, he needed to try to give it some few stretches and breakfast before he can move on.

Curious by his words, she watched him curiously for a moment.

What changed your mind? I'm curious what lead you to staying, if you weren't going to before. If it's a person, I ought to thank them. I got a friend out of whatever they did, after all!

Giggling a bit, she moved to sprawl out on the ground, laying back against the dirt, hair spread like a sheet below her.

I've never napped while logged in before. I think my roommate will have a fit, but...I don't have any classes tomorrow, so I might just try it. Wanna take turns logging out for short bursts to make sure our real bodies are safe at the same time? If we keep watch over each other, we'll be safer even if we doze off. We can take turns keeping an eye on everyone, in fact. If we all work together, everything should turn out okay, don't you think?

From what I can remember, you might thank that blindfolded man I met in Druuk Island. I haven't got his name, but without his strict criticism, I wouldn't able to change my mind.

He would add that he drank a potion that changed his thoughts and persona, but he rather left it a secret for now. He didn't want her to be involved in his messes.

Good point. I have some free time tomorrow, but taking turns might be a good way to protect ourselves for the night. Also, either of us might try to warn the others in case an ambush occurs.

Though somehow her inner puzzle-maniac was set off, she ignored the alarm bells and opted to merely relax herself a bit more, giving her usual giddy grin.

I'm not sure what happened on Druuk Island that made you feel safer with me, but I'll have to be thankful to the guy then. I've never actually gone there myself though, as I think about it. What's it like? Tell me a story to pass the time.

His mention of tea made her wince almost, her mouth puckering as if she'd just tasted a lime.

As for tea...I'm not very good at brewing it, probably because the tea I grew up on was kind of...er...weird medicinal stuff. Maybe I can bother you for a taste of yours sometime? It has to be better than anything I've had, that's for sure. I'd like to taste 'relaxing' tea instead of medicine for a change.

    R-Really? I don't know if I would...

Considering that his experience there was not very pleasant as he was kidnapped there in the first place, he was worried that Solaria would take it in very well.

Sure. I did try making tea as a way to help me train my Alchemy mastery. So it's safe to say that these will taste the same as you can expect from any tea offline.

He said this just as he took out a kettle and some cups he bought beforehand along with the sand bath from his alchemy tools.

    You wouldn't...what?

She stared him down somewhat, trying to find the words hidden from his statement. Letting out a soft sigh, she decided to try to be the one thing she never was- patient. He was finally beginning to open up to her, so wouldn't it be okay to let him wait until he was ready to do more of that?

I'm gonna assume you've never had shamanic medicinal tea. When I say it tastes bad, I mean it probably tastes like sewage or something along those lines. It's just...really, really bad. But nothing good for you is supposed to taste fantastic, they say. That's why it's 'medicine'. I haven't had normal tea really, so yours will be a first.

Well, all I can say is that my experiences there almost killed me. The man I mentioned help me out of there, but not without giving me a wake-up call.

That was all he can say. He has to keep his changes a secret so Solaria won't be left confused by all of this.

Really? I never heard of that medicinal tea here until now. How did you able to taste it?

As he said this, he took some crushed herbs into the kettle before he poured some water and boiled it under the heat from the sand. As for the herbs, he chose some of them from the game that it may taste similar to the real-life tea flavors he knew.

Wait, you almost died there? You got lucky, getting out of a dangerous situation alive. I've already died once...While we may be able to revive, it's no picnic.

Laughing, she was surprised by his question, but amused.

My best friend offline, her mom makes it. Her mom's of the Mapuche tribe and her grandma's a shaman, so they still use a lot of lesser-tasting medicines involving homeopathy and indigenous Chilean spiritualism. You wouldn't expect Ay and I were born and raised in Massachusetts based on that, would you? It's funny, in a way.

To be honest, without his help, I would have earn my first death in this game.

Now that she mentioned it, he grew curious about the death mechanics in Terrasphere. Though he rather not asked Solaria about it as he felt it would be rude for him to ask this question.

Oh... I can imagine how you were able to endure the medicine. Though I can guess the effects were good compared to their taste.

Eventually, he removed the kettle from the heat and poured the tea into two cups before he gave one to Solaria.

Here you go. Tell me what you think.

If she sipped it, she may taste the mixture of small bitterness and the sweetness like honey and lemon.

Hm...Let's find out what real tea tastes like, then.

She held her cup up as if to toast, before taking a small sip, letting the bitter and sweet flavors mix in her mouth.

It's definitely better than medicine. What kind is this, anyway? It's got a notably sweet edge. I was expecting it to be bitter still, since tea is still tea. You have to teach me how to make it sometime.

    Throws a key at @Solaria and @Verity .

I know tents don't have locks, but I'm making a statement, get a room!

Also shows them messages of romance-police complaining about them in a chatting channel.

Verity smiled that she liked the tea he made as he sipped his own cup.

I just made it with Sweet Zest leaves and some bitter herbs in it. I was hoping to mimic the taste of honey lemon tea that I had offline. It was actually one of my favorite tea, really helps on losing my stress after a stress-free day. Though, I'll try if I have some free time after this.

He would try to continue, but he was quickly interrupted when another adventurer threw a key at his head, much to his annoyance as he glared at the culprit.

Noticing the key thrown to them, Solaria lifted it and threw it back to the perpetrator, aiming for the head, but failing to actually hit him clearly.

That meaning is only useful if something dirty is happening, and there's nothing dirty about sharing tea! You're just jealous you haven't gotten to taste it yourself!

She huffed, returning her attention to her friend.

Really, what were they getting at? There's nothing weird abotu tea...Especially if it's yummy. If it were that one I tried as a kid at Ay's house that was apparently meant for her parents, maybe I'd worry, but this isn't that, so it's fine. And like the rest, that one tasted bad anyway.

He sighed in annoyance. Despite there was no sign of damage to his HP, he can still felt the pain on his head. Not to mention how anyone around them would mistake their chat as a sexual manner. Solaria was still his friend and he hated that anyone would judge anyone just by watching them.

Still, we might take their advice and move this chat in a private area. The least we can expect again is another misunderstanding. Otherwise, we might repeat this scene again.
