Glad to see that you all are relatively alright, though some of us are clearly worse for wear than the others. Anyways, if my observations of the guards' movements are accurate, then we have 25 minutes before the mage with the bluish light returns. I know that he didn't bother looking inside our cell the last time but I still suggest that we pretend to still be tied up with our bonds when any patrol passes by.

The best case scenario we have at the moment is the mage to pass by. That gives us a 2 hour window to work on finding a way out of here. I fear that the torch bearing guy would be much more observant in inspecting our cell that he may notice our bonds are loose so we have to assume the worst and act as if those 2 hours are the only window we have left to operate. If you have any idea, don't hesitate to speak up!

I'll keep this quick. Guard's screams are loud enough to attract attention, and we're only half a team here. But we got a ring of keys, and we got a hell lot of prisoners riled up.

Wanna start a riot? If yes, let's go wild. If no, get moving now.

Under normal circumstances, gaining the numbers would be to our advantage. However, these circumstances are anything but normal. We are ill-equipped for a direct confrontation, and we can't even use our magic properly because of this debuff. In addition to that, look around you. A riot would only be feasible if the prisoners here would have the strength to fend for themselves. Freeing these prisoners to attack the guards would be comparable to sending pigs to a slaughterhouse.

I know that among all of us here, you have the gentlest heart, but compassion isn't the best choice all the time. These prisoners are safest inside these cells for the time being. Using them for a riot would just get a lot of them needlessly killed... And unlike with us, I have a feeling that the guards won't hesitate to murder these people seeing as they do not share our "circumstances". Even if they plead that they would rather die fighting for their freedom than die rotting in these cells, can your conscience take that all the people who would die in this riot perished due to your actions? Would your morals allow yourself to use these deaths as a springboard towards our own freedom?

  6. Well, we have now gone from a dangerous situation to one that is much worse. Aden is right if we sent those prisoners towards the guards they will be slaughtered, and as good of a distraction, it would make. I doubt most of you have the stomach for such actions. I would use them to give us the advantage my morals fit the situation at hand and given this case, morals have already cost us too much. I will not risk anymore helping these people any more than we have it will waste to much time and we must be going now.

Ye bunch love ya talkin' eh? When ye done with the do and don't bullpoop, somebody help me checkin' what's behind this barreled door (1) aye? Either that or, ya know... Open that fuckin' thing?

Points at the person with the keys, then to the wooden door (2)

And ya know, I ain't givin' a damn about anyone but yer guys here. Endra knows what in the darkest pits of hell did these guys do to be caged like rottin' birdies, and then theres this falderen bullshit goin' on. I hope Astorea and ye bunch ol' newcomers ain't betrayin' us either, or yall will join the other two she pointed to the unconscious guard and to the prisoners on my list.

I ain't givin' a damn about morals. I'm leavin' dis place here, cause 'dis be the only life I get ya know. So wether ya do or don't, just go ahead and do it already cause we ain't playin' hide and seek here.

Hahaha, you give me too much credit, Aden. This is gonna get real messy soon, so if you don't want any part of this, well...what are you waiting for, key boy? Follow Ursa's orders, unlock those doors, and run!

Cadence. And I got two locations. Guard garrison and torture chamber. My former buddies already armed themselves up with what they could scrounge from there, but there’s a hell lot more in that place, as well as three swords from the guards we managed to take down. Weapons come first. From there on, taking down patrols of guards is a better idea than going straight for the garrison, even if there’s more arms there. Free more prisoners, add to our numbers, and find where the hell the kitchen is so we can actually eat.

When you guys get rowdy, how many guards come to get you to shut up?

Make that noise then. Pretend the doors are still locked. Wait for them to come, burst out and tear out their throats. Accounts for three of em at least, eh? More will come to investigate after the first, and on our second wave, that's when we start the real assault.

    A mirthless smile.

Doubt they'll be stupid forever, but who knows, maybe I've been overestimating these dickwads.

Well, these fools don't seem like the cooperative types, so I'd rather not be here when shit hits the fan.

What wing did you come from? The western wing? From what I heard around here, I there are more prisoners we can gather for our force up that way, political dissent or something, not that I know what those words meant.

But on the guards thing, I don't trust ring-eyed bastards and their routine. They came here a few weeks ago and really fucked this place up.

Also, you got any more friends in here or is this ragtag group all there you've got?

Hell lot more. Could say we have a whole expedition force down here. Pretty sure most of them have gotten out themselves. And those ring eyes are uncanny, but nothing too tough. Can choke em out fairly easy, really. West sounds as good as any direction. Doubt we'll do much with this bunch outside of snowballing a good sized group and running everything over.

    A terse grimace.

And hey, I'm a Muse myself. If I can't direct a mob I might as well become a goddamn farmer.

That fucking ego though, I'll have you know, your magic didn't work on me, not in the least bit. But if anything, it certainly did help these assholes...

HEY, get out of here, Lon.

He stopped speaking and smacked one of the prisoners who was intruding on his personal space.

As I was saying, it helps them fall under my command. Anyways, the name is Abel, let's get out of this shit hole together.

Cain almost laughed, but tossed the man a spare set of keys instead.

A man's nothing without an ego. Probably'd be slinking around like a little rat if that's the case. You got Mage types waving shit in your face here as well, or naw?
