Refusing to discuss their next course of action was foolish. Without communication their group would not get far. Looks like she'd have to start the debate

"@Moonbunny, if the scout were to burn down this ship we might miss crucial evidence. Besides.. we are looking for those that were taken prisoner. Isn't it possible that they may be aboard this vessel? If the scout recklessly sets this room on fire and the crew somehow is incapable of putting it out, which I find highly unlikely, then the prisoners would be naught but ashes. The scout has done well - his job is to bring us information of the path ahead of us. Not all are capable fighters."

Visage was grateful that @Aaron Marone was taking this seriously and, at the very least, appearing to be cooperative.

"I'm willing to take a detour but we must weight the pros and the cons. The further we stray from our path the less likely we are to have the element of surprise. We do not know how many enemies are lurking around this ship. Preparing for them in the kitchen might be a good idea, but what if we are found? Surely someone will sound an alarm. We could end up worse for wear."

Her voice was hushed but audible enough for the whole room the hear, urging them to voice their opinions on the matter.

"I believe we should avoid the biggest area of space for now. It could be a trap or filled with too many dangers - we are lacking information to confidently advance to such a large area."

Moony opened her palm in a quarter-committal shrug:

"Well you seem to have a handle on things @Visage , so it's just as well if you believe we can sort these pirates out. But is it really so wise to venture to the deepest depths of the ship? The lower we tarry, all the harder will it be to potentially fight our way back up.

If we are looking for a number of people as well as any so called -clues- to the activities of these scoundrels....would the large room not serve us better? The most important cargo for any ship should be stowed in its largest room, yes?

If we stop for a snack along the way as our point-man @Aaron Marone suggested, I'm fine with that as well, really. So long as we act decisively and with gusto."

*I forgot to vote so I'm picking large room in edit*

  3. (I'm shit at that fancy code stuff, so my bad that this ain't in it)

"I think our scout's plan is pretty solid. The largest issue would be if the maids recognize that we aren't the usual staff. Look, I'm a paladin. I'm all for honor in battle, and what not. But I'm also a practical man. If we can incapacitate our foes without risking anything injury to ourselves, we should take that opportunity. I'd rather not kill them until we know who is following orders for fear of their lives, who might not know what they're doing, and who is truly guilty. Once that's determined, I would not be opposed to humanely executing the third group and the third group only. Can we make a poison that will simply put them to sleep or knock them unconscious, or failing that, simply weaken them severely so that if we must fight, it is not against a foe at full strength?"

That scout’s plan was solid but..

"I agree with the use of non-lethal force. I am unsure if I would be capable to achieve such a feat with my level of alchemy skills but perhaps Atice (@Raid Master) can assist me."

Visage glanced at the scout. If he was keen on suggesting poison than he must know, or have, a way to dull the effects.

"Concerning the maids.. Not only may they not recognize us, they may freak if we don’t incapacitate the staff fast enough."

    The woman mused.

"Do you think the crew knows every maid that has ever stepped foot on this ship? If we keep our heads low, stay in the shadows, and keep our mouths shut.. perhaps it would be more plausible to impersonate the maids? We can assure that the items have been delivered and see if they are affected properly."

  5. "I have a general policy to never make assumptions that things will work out in my favor. When there are two options, and one makes my life more difficult, I plan for that one. Let's assume that the crew would recognize all the maids rather than assume they wouldn't. If the maids recognize us or react poorly to our presence, we can subdue them easier than if the crew recognizes us. Let's plan to use their maids first, rather than impersonating the maids as well, and fall back on impersonating the maids only if need be."

The scout nodded to @Visage .

I know about poison, yes, I was a journeyman alchemist before I left that life and joined the princess as one of her scouts. If it's what the group decide on, I can help everyone put together the poison, I'm sure.

"Alright. Having two plans is better than one, although the others may have different ideas."

Visage still believed maids and staff were more likely to recognize each other than the crew and their maids. Status and what not. She couldn’t argue with the idea behind it, though.

"Atice (@Raid Master@), the way you say poison makes me uneasy. I’m asking if you could help me create a concoction that will either put the crew to sleep or make them sluggish, at the very least. Can we trust you for this method too?"

The scout felt the need to clarify to @Visage.

I mean, I don't know what else to call it other than poison? But yeah, I can help make it non-lethal. The only problem is, something like a concoction that knock them out will be a tad more difficult to put together, are you guys sure you want to take the risk?

    Moony interjected,

"If I may---- The crew is highly likely to recognize the faces of each and every maid on account of two things. The first being that of a ship's close-quarter nature for long periods of time, and the second, on account of the maids being women. If these scoundrel were making port, then a new face may yet sneak aboard...but this is a cove of all things...."

"On that note, isn't shooting for a moral high-ground through our methodology a bit of a moot point on account of us being so readily willing to rough house the domestic staff...? I would like to offer a suggestion on that front..."

Reaching into her bag, Moony produced a few sets of handcuffs. "I had intended these for playing detective, but they would just as readily serve for playing jailer instead. When we acquire the maids perhaps we could question them within The Captain's Quarters? We could fill in our map with enemy patrol data while not bruising the faces or necks of the poor ladies besides."

Producing another key, the one she had swiped to the Captain's Quarters, she continued: "And after, it would be rather easy to lock them in the room which would also greatly lower the chances of them being discovered. Is that not the most humane and beneficial way to handle them...? Even if they were to be turned to our side, if we're to be heroes of justice, having them avoid the crossfire, dirty-work, and risks to their person would have to go without saying...."

"Call me crazy, but I personally think we should just introduce ourselves and ask them to betray Falderen to instead work for Astorea. Think about it; we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I mean what is the worst they could do? Kill us?"

"If we combine our skills, Atice (@Raid Master). I’m positive my knowledge in chemis- alchemy can assist in some way. Plus, maybe someone’s mastery can help tone down the effects? Even if it just makes them feel sick, it would still accomplish its goal. It would make them easier to fight so I believe the risk is worth it."

Huh. @Moonbunny did bring up some good points that she hadn’t thought of. Also, where in the world did she get that key from?

"I agree it’s safer if we make sure they can’t come back into play by retaining them somewhere.. What you said about the maids could be true but the crew could also have females on it. Hell, the captain could be female. We’ll have to see how the first confrontation goes like @Aaron Marone suggested."

@Yuichi Ichinose.. Visage still couldn’t look him in the eye. She had seen naked men before but this was wrong in so many ways.

“First of all.. could you please remember to put your clothes back on? Secondly, I find this strategy incredibly dangerous. We can try to ask the staff as often times they’re mistreated although that’s a generalized stereotype. They could turn on us when the moment counts, though. As for the rest of the crew..”

Visage gestured at the interior of the ship.

“There’s no doubt they like exquisite things. Money can persuade but I don’t have much to offer. Who knows how much a country is paying them. Also, I believe the worst they could do is lock us up and torture us.”

"Why don't we make this short and sweet if we all can't agree on one thing? Let's fcking drill a hole on this ship and let it sink, then we go home. K?"

"It is an undisputed scientific fact that whales do not wear clothes when out on the ocean. Whales are mammals, I am a mammal; therefore, I do not wear clothes when out on the ocean. If you disagree, do not blame me – blame science.

Also, honey dearest (@Visage), with respect to the raiders, that is exactly why I think we have a chance to turn them to Astorea's side. Falderen pays them huge sums of money, for sure, but why wait for payment when you can take everything you want instead? Sure they could lock us up and torture us, but once we plant the idea in, it'd just be a matter of time before mutiny breaks out and those who subscribe to their greed would end up helping us. We are merely utilizing human greed to further Astorea's cause. This might not be the plan we have in mind, but it's a plan that would benefit us in the long run since the rewards outweigh the risks, great as they may be. That and I don't want to waste perfectly good food, or a perfectly good ship. Sorry, Annie (@Anabelle Zhang)

  14. "Firstly.. I think the root of poison is a great idea to start as possibly a plan B. Should we disagree on a plan A.. I am sure there are plenty of hiding holes within this vessel.. Many rooms left unoccupied that we may take refugee in should we consider an option that requires us to stay aboard and sabotage the plans at hand. May I please see the map again ( @Raid Master ). I think it would be paramount for us to know the spaces in between these levels first. Say we take the poison idea right? How fast will it work? Will it vary on the size of the person? The weight? What of the possibility that even if they all knew each other aboard this ship; who is to say that they are all on the same time. This possibility validates two courses of actions. If we take the poison who knows if there is a talented mage aboard. Will they not check the food for poison in case someone aboard might just 'accidentally disappear?" Or even better if the idea was presented perhaps stir up the hearts of those united in cause..?"

Weissman stroked his chin as he sat crossed legged.

"Next as for a way to undo the alarm system, I am sure @Moonbunny has the gizmos and gadgets to undo it all no doubt or at least short circuit it from this room. Definitely we do not want to sink the ship in case there are allies aboard we should rescue them and proceed with caution. While we are here I believe that we should either take the navigation room or the Captain himself and hopefully the first mate. If things really get hairy they are the bargaining chip for our swift departure. Non-lethal is a prompt way to go but prep for the worst and hope for the best we don't kiss our asses good bye on this cruise. Sorry @Annabelle Faust there will be no sicking of this ship.. An @Yuichi Ichinose as much as you are a mammal.. You aren't endowed like them. It would behoove you to cloth yourself lest you die from impalement or other unknown ailments."

Taking a look at @Visage the crimson eyed man gave a slightly shrug before taking a look at the map.

"I say we plan a route and investigate the rooms. Firstly to obtain more information that may be documented. We follow the maids to the nav room and wait till they leave before taking it or sneaking it at one point. Either way disguises are in order.. Meaning some bodies need to be grabbed.."

"Wow, so we can't sink this ship? Blimey. Well then. Guess I will just have to go with Yuichi's idea, because no one wants to poison them all, lacing them to sleep is might not end well plus I don't want to scour this place and waste more time because I miss my bed already. Besides I am not the one to talk to them, right? Meow meow. Though, I have nothing to offer the raiders but my underwear. Will that work?

By the way, watch that mouth on the endowed thing or anything regarding Yuichi, mister. Rrrrr.

And Yuichi, put your goddamned clothes on, or two can play this game."
