Hey guys, I have an idea, why don't we parley with the mercenary leader and just buy them out with gold. Now granted, I have a lot of gold, but it would only be fair if everyone pitched in. That's not the point right now though...

Okay, okay, listen. So everyone's probably thinking that old Quinn has gone loopy for even suggesting that we should give the mercenaries the gold, but what if we take control of the fortress first, watch them leave and then go on a stealth mission to steal it back from them? If they even found out about our theft attempt, it would have been too late already since we would have either found the people in prison, or has blown the fortress to kingdom come already.

What do you guys think, eh? I guarantee you the mercenary will probably have more than our gold's worth in their possession, given their deal with Falderen!

Sharing... gold? I don't have much. @Quinn your idea should be your sacrifice.
Anyhow, I'd much prefer sneaking. With all the noise we've made so far I'm pretty sure hitting the mercenaries from behind won't be completely expected, and we'll gain the upper-hand.
Either way I'll perform to my best ability. Though personally sharing gold with a band of killers isn't on my mind unless we get it back somehow. It's not like they aren't going to die, anyhow, right?"

"Negotiating with terrorists? I mean, we've struggled with stealth so far, so maybe changing tactics might be a good idea. But I haven't been playing long, so I only have a little gold, and I'm kind of partial to it. I guess I'll give it a shot, but I don't have a ton to contribute."

Elmyra raises her hand in response to @Eileen Dover 's inquiry about the wounded.

If any of you need extra healing, feel free to take some of the potions. I still have plenty of supplies of potions here.

As for our next approach...well, stealthy options won't be a terrible idea but since they already know we're coming it probably won't be as effective. However, if we do something unexpected, like what @Quinn suggested, we'll probably be able to maintain an element of unpredictability...Not to mention that successful parlaying probably get us easier access to the stronghold.

If there's one thing Mercenaries all have in common, it's that they rarely want to fight until the end. I think we'll need a better leverage than a couple of golds though.

I'm not asking for your life savings now, just enough so I can use Phantasmia on it. Of course I am willing to drop the bulk of the payment for it, as long as you guys help me steal it back at some point.
