Surrechis let out a ragged, shaky breath. Things were looking very dire now and she doubted that anymore additional healing would be able to help since it was obvious that the Warden's magical prowess was great. She briefly contemplated using a bolt of Malefimancy to help end the fight but decided against it. Never again. Looking towards @Kyupin Felnya, she called
out a short, desperate song infused with magic. Despite her wounds and the stress of the situation, it was surprisingly pointed and focused at granting increased strength. She would just have to hope that it would be enough.

  7. The music pounds in her ears, magic thrumming in her bones as Kyupin pulls back her bowstring. "Vulcan, buddy," she calls in a hoarse voice, looking to her wounded companion. "You know what to do."

She stretches the string taut, takes a deep breath and focuses on the warden. Her fingers let loose and the arrow sails through the air as Vulcan snaps forward, locking his jaws around one of the warden's legs. Pinned in place for that moment, her shot slams through the warden's shoulder. Vulcan whines as he's thrown back roughly, and Kyupin throws herself to catch him.

    "Please, just let this end..."

It went so quickly from confident caution, an understanding realism that things would be tough, but that they would win... to panic, despair, something else- so quickly. The tides trembled and swayed and curled back on each other like the coils of a writhing, dying serpent. Beneath the storm of arrows, at the mercy of soldiers' blades, behind cold bars, crumpled under Kyupin's limp and twisted form, facing down a hallway of guards, and now here. Those moments before, she had bared her teeth and thought herself a furious force of nature. Unstoppable and full of an unmatched hatred. She expected to feel it now as she watched the flames lap over their party. As she watched Kyupin at the side of her crumpled companion. Her hair and his white fur singed and coiled from the heat of the spell.

It passed her too and the pain ate away at her health, the bar dropping, but her eyes were set. The ranger bit back on a pained sob as she burned alive for the second time. Azog had been worse. The volcano had been hotter. Seeing Kyupin swallowed whole and vanishing in the spell's grasp? It should have been sad, but fine. She'd be back, after all. Would she? Beretta hadn't. She was gone. Gone and might as well have been dead. What if- What if she fell like that and didn't get back up? Like The Admiral, what if she fell and fell right out of her life too? Gone. She was still standing though. For now.

It hurt until it didn't, until nerves were fried and unresponsive under the sheer deluge of sensory intake. The warped skin of her hand closed around an ice cold bottle without thought, hooked onto the belt of her armor for a while now. The soft glow of the liquid inside was little against the light of the devouring flames, but it was enough. She knocked it back with a parched throat and eyes only dry for the heat of the fire. Each drop was another tick of life. Another patch of skin healed over. Another second bought.

She straightened, still on her last legs and full of a bone-deep hollow hate and an even more sickening kind of worry, something worse than dread that tasted like resignation and defeat. Gwyn didn't give up. Sabine didn't give up. She fucking refused.

Gwyn would put an arrow straight through his fucking eye socket and out the other side then and make a merry little home for it.

Seriously, what was it with fire themed enemies kicking Eleanor's ass!? First with the Azog incident, spawning fiery gorillas from hell and the sort, and now fire boars... Not to mention the raining of sharp, fiery stones skittering past her, leaving streaks of burns and cuts across her form. A cold shower was starting to look less like a test of discipline, and more like a luxury, surrounded in the firestorm of pain and fire.

Kyupin and Gwyn seemed to be managing the warden for now, so the detective shifted her focus onto the boar that had done such damage to her, as well as everyone. Bringing her hand forwards, she prepared another arcane blast. If she played her cards right, she might be able to solve the issue quickly, downing the foe with a single blow. Unfortunately for her, the rattling of earth and the thunderous noises resounding all around her was enough to diminish her concentration, so that her fired bolt was not enough to down the beast.

Kneeling forward, her health at dangerously low levels, Eleanor crouched, staring up towards the monster. Hopefully, someone else could finish the job because she had just about expended all of her resources. If the battle wasn't over soon, the heat and damage would no doubt overwhelm her, and she would be facing a second death affliction.

  13. After a light from distant place patching her up, Ilusa.. Lost herself a little. There was… A lot going on. But she felt odd. Her vision swam; it was as if she could smell the scent of burned flesh, taste the iron of blood, feel the life bleeding out and clutching to-

“Eh?” A shout gained her attention. A name which was hers and not (hers in this game yet she learned to reply to it like a callsign). For moment she stared at the worried blonde and something warm spread through her, chasing away the numbness. “Yes!” She scrambled to listen and hid behind the shield of.. Of a seen before character. Player?

There was fire raging around. Like a storm it was terrifying and there was heat and she huddled behind the shield of the tank who took it, tank who.. Died. A woman saved their lives, in return for her own. Of course a tank had a skill, a second wind, but how could she know if the woman had not used it up before like Roland did? Astor called rain down.

The woman rose, like phoenix from ashes, gasping. “Thank you, for saving us.” Ilusa thanked @Corvella.

There was some small beast trampling around and the fire raged and her health was dug into, but she looked around, someone fell, red increased in the gauges, few percentages left, her own healthbar was not that bad and Roland, brave man who focused the attack of enemy on himself was being hit. And hit again. And again.

    He could die.

She would undo the damage, or at least bit of it that the Warden caused. “Syaltha savlejum petchouli.” A short incantation. “Pyala tortelru sprei yalhai.” And light speed to heal Roland, not even noticing as the warden perished under Gwyn's attack.

    Hasc: The Ember Warden
    ❰ 000 / 2000 ❱

@Gwyn ap Herne ‘s arrow found a new home, going right through the Warden’s eye and greeted his cranium before it instantly killed him. The old man unceremoniously fell onto his back as blood began to pool beneath him, forming a pillow of blood to cradle his unresponsive head. The great Hasc, Warden of Embers has been slain.

The rest of the guards, who were supposed to be released from control, were not. They began charging toward the group without remorse nor fear, brandishing their weapons and steadying the blood-thirsting blade at their side; all it took was one swift stroke to cut down every single one of the escaped prisoners who had expended all they had to give (DC 165). Fortunately, @Amane Hirota @Corvella were on the lookout and quickly dispatched them without much of a problem (rolled 32+15+87+35=169)

Abel knew he had to redeem himself and shouted to the group and @Aalam, “yo, I got the boar. Archer man, let’s attack the boar together” With that, Abel closed the gap between himself and the raging beast, putting his sword right into the boar’s muscular body, which was completely locked in the block of ice (93+20+5=118 + Aalam’s damage at a later time).

The ice-encased boar shattered alongside the other small boar that received a swift end. However, they split yet again, into four boar essences this time. After a few seconds of immobility or so, the four tiny boars scowled at their killers, breaking into a sprint, hell-bent on spreading wyldfire yet again.

Ursula’s eyes widened at the sight of the dome expanding and floating up in the air. The elemental cocoon beated, much like a insidious heart that was created by elemental magic. “Oh no, you don’t!” After dispatching one of the ring-eyed guards that fought against her, Ursa brandished her weapon of choice against the incoming spell in order to release her last explosive charge in her addon. The attack managed to flinch the warden and take out most earth spikes on her way, but some of them pierced her legs and turned any movement attempt a real chore. Pain coursed through her legs as she fell to the ground and one of the spikes dug deeper in her legs because of the impact. “Gah!”

How could their kind endure it? How could they just go on through their adventures and push through the pain? In the eyes of any adventurer from this world, these newcomers were the heroes many always aspired to be. Bringing them down would never be enough, for they’d be getting back up in a jiffy. So many of them were completely clueless when they first appeared in Terrasphere that she had no problems in helping them - some of them were hilarious, after all! Yet here are they, created a nation for themselves, set free a bunc of slaves and made a ton of nobles batshit crazy because of their guts. They saved the world, too, apparently, because that big fire guy was a pretty big deal! At times, she wondered if any of them could tell that she was one of the people of the land. Not many of her kind had the guts to go and explore this world… So in a sense, she’d often find herself more at home among these weirdos than her own.

Hearing anything was becoming harsh by the minute. Her arms dragged her small frame on the ground in a futile attempt to flee from danger, yet the warden laid hell upon the underground prison once more, fireballs crashing on the ground and scorching the blonde along with it. Yet, at this point, pain was the last of her worries because she could barely feel it anymore. There were so many ways she could die... Yet to die like this? Crawling and burning on the ground? Despite her efforts and how much she wanted to stand back up, her strength waned and life within her faded away.

It was just like the first time she woke up in the Maithen Woodlands. Her consciousness was barely hanging there, yet she felt nothing, except for regret. Not being able to help the people that brought new and exciting things to this world, that had the guts to brave the depths to find god knows what, to leave them behind like this knowing that unlike them, she wouldn’t return to life… And then she could hear a beat, or perhaps, a voice. Something, or someone, called out to the blonde once more, even in her regret-filled afterlife. That voice was impossible for her ears to mistake for any other; it was one of her closest companions, and ironically, a player. Excitement ran through her body once more as she realized she’d get to pay those motherfuckin’ boars and that warden back!

Her consciousness returned with a loud gasp as Cain’s words resonated inside her mind as if a church bell was rang right next to her ears. However, past the muse, her eyes widened as they caught a glance of the boar that was splitting once more. The creatures prepared to advance and attack the newcomers once more. Considering their shape, she knew it wouldn’t take long for them to meet their end as well. Perhaps in a fit of instinct, Ursula sprung forward while attaching the closest addon on her beaten backpack to her gauntlets

Arms extended forward, her gauntlets were launched with great force as they coiled around the creatures, the metal cables that connected them to the contraptions on her backpack tightening and pulling them back until she was at a safe distance from everyone else. She could feel pain course through her body once more as the summoned creatures squealed and struggled against her tinker grip. Once the boars were finally up close enough that she could feel the heat of their flames, her eyes glanced over the people she was about to save. What a bunch of ugly people, she thought as a her lips curled up in a wide and satisfied grin. She gritted her teeth once more, her gaze this time resting upon @Cain. “Sorry”, she said, as the addons in her gauntlets were activated past their limit with a loud, hissing sound.

"If theres anyone good at handling fire and explosions... 'Das me, you burning shits!"

What ensued wasn’t an explosion. It was a powerful ice blast that froze the immediate area around her and the boars releasing a strong wave of cold air in the room. The addons she used weren’t the explosive ones developed by herself, but rather, the ones from the fight where people of the land and players alike teamed up to save this world. Slowly, the ice started to melt, and the uneven ice structure that managed to reach up to the ceiling started to crumble down...

And so, Ursa has went out in the name of science. She died doing what she loved the most in the world, cussing and tinkering. If anyone had tried to resurrect her again, they would have realized that a soul could only be brought back once in a short amount of time. However, her death was not in vain, for she took the piglets with her.

As if a sad attempt at a consolation prize for the death of a dear friend, the party found four mini Wyldfire Piglets in the remnant of bloody battle.
