Since Abel was appointed as the leader of the group, he scratched his head and signaled to the rest of the prisoners who are armed and armored to take the front of the line alongside himself and Roland. First, he came toward the door where the two guards came in front and placed his ear against the door on the eastern side of the room, then he moved to the door sound of it to investigate.
Abel: Well I don't really want to open either door because I doubt the guards will throw us a party.

Cain: Getting cold feet? What do you hear?

Abel: I don't hear shit. Wait, there are four doors here actually... These bastards are constructing them in such a way that doors aren't easily seen. Fuck!
Abel: So if the prison was even remotely uniformed, door #2 should lead us into another quadrant of prison cells. What do we do, are you shits just going to leave the decision-making to me?

Cain: Dunno, those bunch are just licking their wounds and all. But hey, we have the numbers and the weapons now, as well as any magic back. Someone bust through door number two and let's just bumrush any guard in there, free up the prisoners, and add to our dastardly mob.

Roland: Fine I’ll bust in but prepare a spell to subdue any attackers before I run in, I don’t think we can take any more straight up combat.

Cain: I'll sing a lullaby then. Probably won't do much extra but stagger 'em, but I'm sure you can take advantage of something like that.

Abel: Does anyone here have a map or something? Let's get this shit properly sketched out before we do anything hasty.

    Roland: @Akeno Elenor does

Eleanor: "Oh, a map, yes, I've one here. Take a look." Eleanor hands the map to Abel.

Abel took the map and used a parchment we found and something to carve with so he can cut out a diagram of the entire prison as he had remember it.

Roland : how many do you think are in the garrison?

Abel: Probably a dozen or more. Right? We snuck by there earlier.

Roland: We don’t have the numbers to deal with that many, I say we head east and try and get some more muscle

Cain: We have 15 or so. That's also a dozen or more.

Abel: Yeah, probably for the best.

Roland: An unnarmed rabble, and half dead prisoners are nothing compared to armed an equal number of rested and trained guards.

Ursa: I can git some more wannabe weapons goin' if we find more people, but it ain't gonna be anythin' like a proper weapon. If only I could get my stuff back.

Roland brielfy glances at the map before standing and pointing towards one of the prisoners Ursa and Cain brought with them, "You, head back into the kitchen, hide the best you can, if you see a large number of men come this way let us know."

Abel: I don't know about you, but I have no interest in actually fighting the prison staff. I just want to get the fuck out of here...

Roland: I'm assuming our gear is in the garrison to be honest. (Which is why I want to get there) I'm not exactly seeing an exit on this map Abel. Unless its this thin line south of us.

Abel: uuuh, my guess is the room on the far east.

Cain: "Exit might be that block to the east as well." A part of Cain is sad that they went from riot-mode back to stealth-mode. A true pity.

Roland: If you were a guard, and you heard an alarm, on duty or not, where would you head?

Cain: Sweep up and down the prison, free up everyone in their cells, see if we can find the rest of the expedition, and clear out garrisons in search for loot?
Cain: And I'd be speeding along the paths around prisoner cells, definitely. See who broke out and all?

Roland: If it were me, I'd head to the only exit.

Abel: So that means they might vacate the garrison.

Cain: Hella optimistic to think that they're all gonna bunch up in one place, but garrisons being empty is a good bet.We backtracking to check the garrisons in the west then?

Abel: Sounds good to me... I guess

Roland: Well its not to far from out current postion, and there is a good chance that if we head eastward we won't get a chance to come back. Let's at least have a look.

Meanwhile, Ursa used scraps, wood and dismantled several torture devices to get some makeshift shields going. With the rest, she reinforced the first weapons she crafted for the prisoners. One in particular used some spikes removed from a rusty and unused iron maiden.

Ursa: Hope 'dis gonna help. Best I can do for now. But y'know, if I grab my stuff, we can say fuck to the exit and I'll just blow a hole in a wall or somethin'.

Roland: We're in a prison, surley one of you lot is a thief, or a rogue? We need someone to lead the way and not get us caught in a bulk of guards

Cain: Better hope that wall don't contain wyrms, Ursa.

Ursa: Shut that trap! That might happen, y'know!

Roland: Lets not jinx ourselves (Roland's previous question was aimed at the prisoners with Usra and Cain and Abel

Abel shook his head as he gestured to the group to follow him back into the kitchen where the staff continued to sleep and then into the hallway. He made sure to look at his surroundings before he moved forward, creeping toward the garrison. Everyone ready?

Roland: (in a hushed tone): We just want to get an idea of what we're dealing with first, everyone be as quiet as they can.

Cain: Toot toot, stealth spell online. Let's make this fast before someone walks up on us.

Cain hums that noise-dampening tune of his again, ready to get going.

There is not a lot of noise. It sounds fewer than before.

Abel: Enter or not? It doesn't sound like a dozen to me.

Ursa: Well, I'd rather not stick around to see if they're comin' back anytime ya know?

Roland: Alright, lets get a spell ready...

    Cain: Anyone need significant healing?

Astor struggled to keep himself up as he relied on Ilusa to trudge along, however, he seemed receptive to breaching the room.
Abel and the group of prisoners stormed garrison, taking the 4 guards who were there by surprise. From their disheveled appearance, they seemed to be putting on the last of their equipment. The room was mostly furnished with wooden bunk beds. There was a round table that seperated the prisoners from the guard. In one of the corners were a big pile of chests, if you looked closely at a half-opened chest, you can see something resembling equipment sticking out. However, these chests were past the guards who have brandished their swords.
Surrechis played a song that buffs the party's damage.

Shielding his eyes from Ilusa's flash, Cain sings a dissonant burst of noise, seeking to disorientate and debilitate the guards further. Cain: Break their formation and split them up!

Ilusa warned people before chunking in a white round ball that then explodes like a flash grenade.

The guards are extremely disoriented, allowing the group a much easier time to subjurgate them.

Roland held back, covering his eyes and ears to protect himself from the inital magical salvo that soon occured. As soon as the light died down, Roland screamed over his ringing ears, "Nows our chance, get them while their defenseless!"

Abel and his group roared in anger as they leaped over the table and began to combat the guards.
They attempted to attack the lone guard who was disoriented, however, completely missed, given their malnutritioned state... Their stomachs grumbled angrily.

Roland tried to stay in the back lines the best he can, before charging with the rest of the men, attacking the same guard as they did.
Surging forward Roland's blades quickly found the soldier's neck, sinking into his flesh easily, before they quickly retreated. As a result the guard slowly crumpled to the floor, quickly bleeding to death amid the large collection of dirty prisoners

    The prisoners clapped.

Ursula made use of her small frame to sneak among the many combatants from her side and attempted to topple a bunk bed on one of the guards.

Clearly, the bed was far too heavy for Ursula to move.

Cain: You'll do better next time!

Eleanor cast an aoe arcane spell targetting guard 1, 2, and 3. The bomb detonated and blew up on all 3 guards. Dealing a sizeable amoun of damage to them.
Immidiately after this, the guards began to swing their weapons wildly but failing to hit everything, considering the fact that they were blinded and had their senses suppressed.

Cain: C'mon c'mon c'mon! Look around you! Can you see it? Can you feel it? The failures of your body, the blood that seeps and seeps and SEEPS! There is no hope here! There is no miracle here! No matter how much you try, you'll DIE if this continues! So give in! Give up! Prostrate yourselves, you unfortunate FOOLS!

The guards can't hear anything as their senses were still very much suppressed.

Ursa: Ye will do better next time, when they hear anythin'!

Cain: "True despair is countering your own magic, eh?" He laughs.

Ursa: Fuck. This. Thing! Ursa kicked the bunk bed. Realizing it was far too heavy for a miner (?) like her, she headed towards the round table and attempted to flip it over the guards to stop them from swinging their weapons randomly at them.

The table flew off the floor and struck all 3 of the guards, shattering upon impact.

Surrechis played a tune to increase the prisoners (other than Abel) accuracy. It doesn't add to the damage.

Abel flew toward one of the guards, who was caught off-guard by the table and put him into a headlock while the other 4 prisoners stabbed him to death.

Roland follows the other prisoners only to see another guard die at their hands so he turned towards guard 1 and attacked

The attack was effective in wounding the guard enough that he immidiately threw his weapon onto the floor and surrendered. Guard 1: Wait, wait, stop! I yield, I yield.

Roland "Elenor! Illusa! Can you restrain the last one with magic?"

Hearing Roland's shout Ilusa decided to try. "On it!" Supporting Adore she cast her spell, but it was not strong enough. It failed to stop the guard. "Ah! I can't!" And as she said that the spell fizzled out, as the man tore through it

Eleanor cast a binding arcane spell that rooted him in place.

The guard looked at the group with empty eyes.

Roland spat on the ground, "Something isn't right about this one. Those dead eyes." he nodded at the guard who surrendered, "Any chance you can talk your special friend here into standing down?"

Guard 2: Look they just came under King Theo's order one day. I don't know how you can negociate with them. They just kind of 'do' things.

Cain: Woulda been great if someone could disguise themselves as the King and extract info that way, but...let me see if I can dispell this.

Cain whispers softly, sibilant syllables sliding off his tongue as he attempted to undo the potentially magical affliction that plagued the ring eyed guard.

Roland frowned doubting the man's abilities, turning to the other guard, "If you will come with us to safety, I can guarantee you will protected, and paid a good portion of gold for the information you know."

His magic fell short. Expected, but still sucked.

"....the ones who attacked us at the meeting place were the same... I will try too." Seeing the man cast his spell, she let Astor rest against a wall and taking advantage of the guard still being tied, Ilusa tried her hand at dispelling the magical that clouded the man's mind. Words of power were spoken and light shine between her hands.

Cain: Alright, first time failure, no problem. I'll help out with that, lady. Let's put all our magic together.

    Surrechis: Hmm... ok

Roland: "Do we really have time for this...?

Guard 2's eyes quickly returned to normal. He looked around him, clearly confused and shouting in surprise as he saw the large group of enemies surrounding him.

Cain: Listen up, we're not your friends, but we're not gonna kill you either. What can you remember?

Roland: "Drop your weapon, we've split enough blood for a week."

"So it really was a mind control... Still for so many soldiers to be affected..." Ilusa mutters to herself, even as her own spell failed at least the muse welding faerin did not. Returning to Astor she glanced at him worriedly.

Guard 2 dropped his sword, letting it clatter on the ground. Guard 2: Okay, okay, look, I just heard the King's voice to guard this place with my life.

Roland whistled at the comment, before leaving it to the others for the time being, heading to where they had seen some equipment stored, hoping he'd find his own.

Cain: Did you see the King? Or only hear?

Ursula wasted no time and quickly made her way to the chests shortly after Roland.

Guard 2: Only a voice, I don't know, I felt compelled to follow it.
Roland and Ursa found their equipment in one of the chests.

Roland feels a glimmer of the first smile he's worn since he'd been here. Natrually he swapped out for his actual equipment

Cain suppressed the desire to roll his eyes. Well, after all that effort, it didn't tell them anything more than 'we can remove this magic'. Cain: Good enough. Now how do we get out of here?

Ilusa made a pleased sound and also took her equipment. She also checked if there was Astor's equipment and that of other prisoners and if they could put it into their inventory.

Ilusa found both hers, Astor's, and surrechis' equipment in a smaller chest.

    Cain: Anything else in there?

Her cheeks blushed for a moment... No. Not here. She equipped her gear over the rags and started checking all her equipment and her tinker machines to make sure everything was right. A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she could finally feel the weight of her equipment.

"All of ours.... And more. Probably other teams." That said Ilusa tried to get Astor to equip his stuff via the interface and then tried to put the other equipment into her inventory

Abel thrust the map at the guards face, expecting an answer from them. Abel: Where the fuck is the exit?

Cain turned back to the two guards. Cain: Where the fuck indeed? And try this on for size, Abel.

He tossed Eldhi's gear, the only stuff he recognized, at the criminal scum.

"Hmm..." She could not put it into inventory, but she could carry the light armours.

Roland contuies to strap himself in, as he turned back to the first guard who had surrendered, "Did you hear my offer from before?"

Abel attempted to wear said equipment, but it didn't fit. The sword at least was alright.

Roland looked for the nicest piece of weaponry beyond his own, spotting Gwyn's bow, taking it for himself for now. There may have been others but he didn't know the owners of the rest of the equipment.
"It looks like there are a lot more people locked in here than I thought. It might be worth finding them, and returning here later"

The guard, who was visibly shaken by Abel immidiately pointed at the map.

Guard: R-right here... We're underneath a fortress so there are a lot of soldiers above ground...

Roland: "Oh god damnit. We need to hurry, find the others, and arm them."

    Abel: Well fuck.

Roland: "Abel, walk me through were you've been so far."

Abel: Well, one of the drunk-ass guys circled around the the western loop but he never manage to go all the way around. We went to the green T and down the hall with the jail cells was where Cain here freed me and the boys. What do you guys want to do? Should we go around and take control of the entire prison? I don't know how feasible it would be to take control of ALL of the prisoners.

Roland pondered for several moments, "I'd suggest sneaking out but there are simply to many of us to stand a chance of getting out unoticed. If we are going up into a fortress, I'd at least like a few more... warriors. Let's get out of here and head to the kitchen and recover briefly."

Surrechis played a recovery melody after she grabbed the equipment from Ilusa.

Taking advantage of the pause and feeling more energised, Ilusa decided to heal their party, just in case they got to meet enemies again.

While Roland waited for the rabble to rouse themselves he continued trying to formulate a plan, "I guess we can head for the exit from there, and see what kind of presence they have above. I still think it would be a good idea to eat, we don't know when our next meal will be." as he spoke his stomach rumbled, "Or our last."

Astor spoke in a barely audible voice, but it was there. He had an incredibly weary expression on his face as his mind was barely holding onto the last piece of sanity he had left.

Astor: ... If the Kingdom had recieved news of the betrayal, surely they would be on their way now, we should try to take control of the exit or something. He sighed.

Abel gave the fancy looking toy a few swings, nodding to Cain. Abel: I like this bat.

Roland laughed almost too loudly at Astors words, "You trust any of those you put in charge? All we have an alliance with is the elves, and they are scared of their own shadow." Roland paused calming down slightly before grumbling angrily, "I guess we will see how well parceling out titles in exchange for gold actually works out."

Abel was alert by a sudden noise and swung his head around. Abel: Wait, shhh... there's a group of people coming.

Roland nodded motioning to the others to stand on either side of the wall hiding from the entrance.
He mumbled, "Still have to deal with those two guards.."

Their team cobbled together by players and prisoners alike made their way down the hall not blown to shit with an uneasy speed despite the need for caution. Gwyn was quick to keep ahead, relatively unharmed and with sharper senses thanks to her Hunting mastery. They had all heard a commotion down the halls and Gwyn liked to believe it'd be a positive one for once, but the sounds had tapered down as they neared.

Maybe she would have kicked in the door or gone storming in to start a fight, arm cocked back to chuck one of the bloodied rocks still being used as her ammunition, but her improved hearing caught their low words. The acoustics in the jail were surprisingly robust. Good for the sounds of torture to echo through she guessed. No matter.

Gwyn: "Attention assholes, stand down. I'm coming in and if any one of you puts a hand on me I'm liable to lose it. We're halfway through a jailbreak, let's not fuck it up."

Roland held out a closed fist to Abel trying to indicate that they should hold their position. They may have had their equipment back, but the men were still hungry and he was still wounded despite their healers best efforts, he wouldn't want to risk a trap.

Cain's dark eyes flickered from the chest filled with equipment and then back to the door, where a strong voice resounded through. Didn't sound like a guard, but he prepared for the worst regardless. Speech implied that they weren't one of the ring-eyed guards, and content implied that it was a fellow adventurer. Good enough then. The sword-bearers were quiet, but someone had to say something eventually, right?

Cain: Come on in then! Saves us the trouble of carrying your shit!

Ursa: Eyy, good point. I ain't disagreein' with that ya know? - she continued checking her equipment. Pros and cons of having a ton of tinker addons, you see.

Kyupin leaned up against Gwyn, eyes looking up to the bigger woman for guidance as the silence held. And then it was broken. She... recognized that voice!

"Cain? Cain, it's me, Kyupin! You're okay!" She shoved past her taller friend and tried the door, uncertain if it was locked or not. She winced in pain as the movement jostled her right arm a little too much.

Cain's eyes lit up as well. It shouldn't be all that surprising to meet someone who must have been canned in the same prison as himself, but still...

"Glad you're alright, Kyu! Won't say I'm alright, but we're all hanging in there. Got your stuff here as well. Is Kaede and Elysian with you?"

Abel: WHOA, who the fuck are these people?

Cain: Friends. All got tossed in here together. Remember that expedition force I talked about?

"Kaede and Elysian... Didn't they turn back earlier? I haven't seen them yet, at least."

Kyupin shifted the door open and poked her head through, cat ears at attention. She recognized some faces, others... not so much. "Hi! We come in peace! Is it okay if we all come in now?" she asked, just in case. She'd lifted her left hand to the air in a sign of peace, wincing at the ache in her right hand as she tried to the same with it. Instead, it stayed by her side.

Roland glared daggers at Cain as he opened his mouth, it was clear that man would be the end of them one of these day. Luckly the first face to poke thier way in wasn't one that Roland recognize, but Kyupin clearly didn't look like a threat. Huffing angrily Roland stood down, sheathing his weapons and standing gloomily in the corner.

Wew, someone was feeling like an edgelord. Smiling back at Mr. Grumpy Pants, Cain waved at Kyupin and her own group that loomed behind her.

Cain: Go get your stuff, guys. We got a general idea of where the exit is, keys that should unlock any cell in this prison, as well as everyone's equipment in those chests.

Bringing up his inventory and pulling out all the food he had appropriated from the kitchen's pantry, he set them on one of the tables that hadn't been utterly destroyed by Ursa's she-hulking.

Cain: Food as well, if anyone's hungry.

Nevermind the fact that two dead bodies were there, bleeding out. Cain slammed down some barrels of ale as well, for good measure.

Kyupin opened the door a bit wider and stepped in, peering around curiously, before gesturing to the rest of her group. Her eyes briefly landed on the bleeding corpses, mind flashing back to Beretta's body, frozen in place as Alpha went mad. She choked back any words and turned towards... the chests.

Though her stomach rumbled, demanding sacrifice, she wanted the comfort of her equipment back.

"Have you guys seen our tames, by any chance? Vulcan, my wolf?"

Alpha: Rudolf! Ruuuuuudoollllllfffff! I missed you!

Abel turned to Cain. Abel: Your friends are fucking weird. Can we get a move on already? Anybody? Is this really the time for a touching reunion?

Alpha completely ignored Abel as she rushed towards Roland, hands ready to wrap around his waist and engulf him in an Alphabet Chocolate™ snuggle) "Rudooooolllllllllllllffffffffffffffff!"

Gwyn followed Kyupin with a start, halfway to stopping her from heading in first after all she'd been through but there was little stopping her. The ranger followed with an irritable expression and scanned the mix of familiar and unfamiliar faces. Alpha blasting past her to Roland's side got a snort of amusement out of the woman before she noticed what was slung across his back.

"You keeping that warm for me, Rutledge?" She scanned the room for the rest of her items as she headed toward him, holding out a hand to gesture for the longbow.

"The tames are kept in the stables. Our fellow jailbirds said they knew where they were kept, yeah? Now. What's the plan to get out of here? Anywhere not yet cleared?"

Abel points to the two hallways in the middle and in the north. Abel: These two hallways with all of the jailcells.

Amane breathed a sigh of relief, making a beeline towards the chests containing her gear, carefully avoiding looking too closely at any of the corpses on the ground. Digging for them and fishing them out, she cast a nervous glance around, eyes falling on Roland, Cain, Wiley, Wynston, and...oh no. Sighing, she slipped her kimono over her rags, using her inventory to quickly tie the complicated bits. There was no way she could change properly here.

"I'm fine with anything you decide — I'll follow along. But, as an option, I could blow us out of here. Only one blast though! Afterwards I can't conjure any more."

Abel: Hey, you look cute, wanna go on a date with me after all of this blows over? Abel to Amane

Gwyn takes her eyes off of Roland long enough to look over her shoulder at Abel with a lip raised in disgust before shaking her head and turning back to the tank holding her property.

Cain: Is this really time to be hitting on ladies? Everyone dressed and fed yet?

Once she was done with all her machinery and addons, Ursula checked her thick coat's pockets. As she patted at them to check everything, Ursula caught notice of both Amane's and Abel's words, glancing at the prisoner and then resting her gaze on Amane. Her hands patted on her chest pockets and stopped for a moment, right eye twitching. The tinker breathed in, closed her eyes, and let a slow sigh.

"Ahem, can't blow our way outta here I think? Ya know, tons of guards up there, we're underground n' all that. If you need someone to blow things up, 'das me. Keep yer mana thing."

Ashiore wanted to check up on Alphabet, since the girl seemed... extremely upset after her resurrection. But there wasn't much time. Still, she seemed in rather good spirits now, having come across a friend. She recognized Roland, Cain, and Ursa from past encounters, and gave them a weary smile as she retrieved her equipment. "Is this everyone? Wait no... Aden was there too, wasn't he? Is anyone still missing?"

"Uhm..." Amane bit her lips. This was the first time she had been asked out so directly — no one did that, in shanghai. "Sorry, I'm flattered, really! But I don't know you..." Ursa! She hadn't noticed her until she spoke up, but with her, their whole group was back together. Thank goodness. "We'll leave it to you then!" she said, taking the save.

Abel sighed. Abel: Alright folks wrap up, let's go let's go we should try to release all of the prisoners, maybe the two bards can manipulate them into being cooperative with us?

Cain: Dunno where Aden is myself. Got separated from him and Aalam while exploring the place, Lady Ashiore.

Cain swung his flag about a few times, wondering if he should get a new banner after all this.

Cain: And yea, can someone else do the healing? I'll be saving my own powers for getting the rest of the prisoners here onboard.

Amane: I can! Now that she was fully geared, energy consumption was a much smaller worry in her mind. Chanting, she would cast an AOE heal on the party.

Cain: Thanks. Let's clear this dungeon and get home in one piece, eh? It's so past my bedtime at this point.

Corvella walked into the room and found familiar faces there. Looks like all of them were gathered, except the tames of course. Wearing all her heavy armor pieces never felt this comfortable.

Then she realized her stomach is empty for god knows how long. Fortunately Cain saved some foods for the prisoner. She grabbed a small piece of bread to quash her hunger, ignoring the fact that there are dead bodies in the room. "Thank you." she smiled to Cain. She'll have proper food when they get back.

Abel: So what's the plan, should we split into two teams? Each team taking a hallway?

Cain: Got two sets of keys, so why not. Stock up on as many weapons as we can here, free up all prisoners, and let's fuck shit up.

Kyupin tested her now healed arm, smiling at it. Looks like it's good and ready for action again! She finished changing into her equipment and tested the string on her bow.

"Wiley, Wynston and the others... will you come with us?"

    NPCs nodded affirmatively.

    Wynston: I'm with you.

    Wiley: Sure, lead on.

Kyupin "Hey, Wiley? How do you feel about animals?"

Roland was surpised by alpha not recnozing her at first, but realized the owner of the voice once she spoke, happily patting her head before handing his bow to Gwyn complaining about how he never got a chance to even try it out.

Abel: Alright people, let's move out. I'm going down the middle hallway with the rows of prison cells on either side. Someone else should lead the northern hallway

Cain: I'll take northern. See ya on the other side.

Kyupin: Which way goes towards the animals? I want to go there.

Abel: The animals? I don't know, I think the bottom of the complex.

Roland: Sounds like we need three groups then, I'll lead the third.

Cain: We cleared out the bottom path, so you bunch should be fine without keys.

Gwyn takes the bow with a snort and grabs the rest of her inventory from the chest. After tugging her armor on over the rags for the moment she moves to join Kyupin as they prepare to take on the bottom route of the complex.
"Vulcan'll be happy to see you, Kitten. We'll get him and then we'll get out."

Ursa: I'll stick with ya, Cain. Now that I have my stuff back, I can do plenty ol' good stuff. Can't wait to mine some iron outta their blood!

Gwyn: "Give em hell and a half, Ursa."

Amane: "Roland, you can't even use that bow. At any rate, I can take the middle path."

Cain wondered if Amane had something for Abel after all, but kept quiet about it. Cain: Let's kick some ass then, Ursa. Got dem charges ready?

Kyupin nods. "If we work fast we can come back and help out the top route."

The feline girl shuffles uncomfortably. "I don't want to keep Vulcan waiting any longer. Should some of us head out now, and if needed, others can catch up?" She looks to Gwyn first, eyes wide as if asking for permission, and then to the others.

    Gwyn: "I'm with you."

Alpha grabbed the items from her inventory, thoroughly inspecting each item until she came across her most important friend. "Terry," she grinned, snuggling the Mist Wolf Fragment close as she reattached herself back to Roland's side. Finding her friend had helped her mood tremendously and she couldn't seem to take her hands off of it, carefully stroking and caressing the item with care and love. After a bit, she pocketed it away before she stripped naked, tossed on her armor, and then cheered triumphantly. "Oooh wait guys! I'll, uh, be with Rudolf but I have something cool in here somewhere!" she rummaged through the chest for a good while before she found what she wanted: the Vambrace of Embers. Without waiting another second, she withdrew the relic and placed it on her wrist (also equipping her ring and amulet as she did so). "Okie dokie! So, uh, how do I use this again? Mystical spirits of potatoes and corn and zombie smoothies, please lend me your power of...wait, what does this do again? Oh yeah! Uh...healing! Yup! Heal this entire party or something!"

Corvella: "I'll go with Amane to the middle hallway."

Astor was starting to be able to stand on his own, he looked down at his hand and opening and closing it multiple times, wincing as the imaginary pain shot accross his body. He gestured to Ursa, Ilusa, and Cain to see if they were ready to head out.

Kyupin is by the door, shuffling impatiently. "If everybody is ready, I'm going to go now." Her fingers nervously pull on the string of her bow, adjusting the tension. She will not be caudhr unawares again.

Roland looked around eyeing the groups with a frown, sad to see Amane in such... questionable company and wished he could join her. However, he had said his piece and to back down now didn't seem right. He'd have to trust Abel for now. "Ok..." Roland said to the young looking girl (Kyu), "Let's go but let me lead the way." He gave a slight nod to Gwyn and moved out the door heading towards the southern passage ways.

Since he has recovered from his condition, other than his psyche , Astor led the way forward as the tank. His body was shaky, but his eyes were clear and focused. He was a man on a mission to get out of this hellish pit.
Upon entering the northern hallway, the group discovered that there was no one around. All of the cells remained soundless.
The lack of life alerted Astor as he looked at his other group members, which included Ursa, Cain, Ilusa, and a number of prisoners who escorted them.

Was this the wing that Kyu's group came from? Ominously empty as it was, it meant that they could at least pick up the pace then. Staying still, Cain closed his eyes and focused...but heard nothing in particular.
Cain: Let's get moving then. No need to slow down.
There was a tinge of disappointment in his voice.

Astor was extremely alarmed now as he approached one of the cells and noticed that there was a dead prisoner past the barred doors. In fact, all of the cells had a dead prisoner inside. He waved to Ilusa @Qrin, First Jello (Ilusa) and Ursa @Zero to investigate.

It seemed that ll roads led to Rome: Many familiar faces appeared in the place. They were not in best shape either, but they were not bad either. There was certain thrill of satisfaction that all had managed to weasel out from the prison cells.

Then the groups have divided and shuffled. Ilusa was.. Not pleased by the current rooster of her team. The blonde tinker and her had a bad first talk and the potion-gobbler did not leave a good impression either. Yet all of those were overshadowed by the fact that Astor was back- as much as he could. Still clearly affected, but he looked alive now, not self shocked and some odd debuff that she had seen on him was gone.

To be honest she was not sure how to act towards him, aside hovering on his side; because she was hit with the realisation that somewhere during the game she learned to really... Care for him. The rage that had filled her vines with the proverbial ice at his tortured sight attested to it, as did her worry each time she saw him tremble or move his hands or wince.

His alarmed expression worried her. So when he gestured for her and the blonde to investigate, investigate she did (if her ears were trained on Astor, well, no-one was the wiser, right?). Her fingers moved, her eyes flashed silver as she activated the investigate mode and looked to see what killed the prisoners.

The prisoner was in a state of petrification.

Ursula grimaced at the prisoner's state. "Y'know, if this ain't any poison or somethin' like that, then in all honesty yer magic people are really scary with yer stuff..." Ursula released one of her tiny arachno automatas to find anything out of place. "Oi, King guy, prisoner's frozen like a stone lollipop."

Cain let out a low whistle, before smiling. "Well, if we can get rid of mind control, let's get rid of this as well. Least they can't starve to death like this."

The felis frowned as the result of her investigation came back. "Petrification.. Question is was it caused by Magic or a monster they have on hand? But yes, lets see if the prisoner can give us insight into it. How about you first, sir?" She gripped her recovered magical wand, ready to cast after him should he fail, her ears still listening for movements and sounds made by Astor.

The petrified man remained unwaveringly solid.

When the main failed, Ilusa gathered herself. Then she took a deep breath in order to pull up the mental frame of mind that she came to this game in. Heal to spite those who wound. Words of power rolled from her and the energy.. It was much easier to handle now that there was her wand. IT felt smoother and as she cast the last word, she felt hopeful that it will work. thus she opened her eyes, watching how the light sunk into the man, waiting with batted breath if he would move.

The stone gradually faded away, unveiling the soft, human skin beneath. He let out a massive gasp as he crumbled against the wall.
    Man: Oh god, oh lord.

Ursa: Calm yer pants , mate, even though ya have none. What happened here? - Ursa asked as her automata returned to her with nothing special.

Man: It's the warden... he came through and petrified everyone.

Ilusa: "Did he look at you or chanted something? Or just walked?"

Ursa: Geesh, magic was a mistake... - Ursula sighed stood between the two healers and Astor and relayed the information acquired from them to him so they could save time. "I hope we git some way to deal with that. I feel like turning to stone ain't goin' to be neatto. "

Cain punched Ursa on the shoulder lightly. Cain: Be pretty funny though, a miner turning into stone. But hey, dude, what does the warden look like? Describe him to me.

Man: He's the mage who is in charge of this place. Looks really old and really scary...

Cain: Real old real scary, that's nice and easy. How you feeling? Tired or what?

    The man collapsed, falling unconscious.

Cain: Hmm, I see, I see. Good night then, dude.

The muse turns to the others, apparently unperturbed by the possibility of facing a gorgon man.

Cain: Well, guess we won't have to worry about these peeps for a bit then. Let's pick up the pace, eh?

Ursa: Sure thing. The sooner I git to leave 'dis stinkin' hole the better. I'm all good to go.

Astor nodded and took the front, proceeding down the eerily cold hallway where every single prisoner they came accross had been turned to stone. It seemed that there's going to be a big fight in the main chamber up ahead.

As they walk, Cain continues his song of healing, bringing everyone closer and closer to full health.

Ursa readied the explosive addon on her pickaxe, a clear 'k-chak' sound could be heard. "I take it it's fine to do some noise, aye? Y'know, if even the warden guy's been doin' his work rather than sitting all day... Guess there ain't much point in hiding or stealthing anymore."

Taking a break from singing to carry the spell with his footwork instead, Cain said, while stylishly moon-walking, "Best idea would be to ascertain where he is and drop our biggest attacks on him immediately. Let's go all in, all out for this stone-eyed statuefucker."

Astor came up to the door and put his ear against the wooden surface to scope out what they might find in the room beyond.
    Nothing.

Cain: Ursa, got a contraption we can use to look past the door?

Before the group had a chance to react, a massive stone spike ripped through the door, nearly punching a hole in Astor's head.
Astor's eyes widened from the sudden attack. They had been discovered!

Cain: Ursa, knock down the door! Ilusa, light!

Ursa: Gotcha covered! - Ursula regulated her explosive addon and hit the door with her pickaxe - a minor explosion ensued, enough to break it down ( hopefully the spike as well) and not hinder the party's vision.

The door was blown off the hinge, revealing the old warden and an army of ring-eyed prison guards surrounding him.
Astor clicked his tongue, gesturing that they might need more people, considering a quick glance through the UI indicated that the warden himself, who was wearing a dark blue robe with golden rim and a cowl concealing most of his face, save only his brown beard, appeared red to Astor, who anyone could consider a veteran.

Ilusa let out a whine but at the yell for light, familiar words flowed from her lips. The spell was easier to cast, less draining and soon a white marble sat innocently on her palm. But then she heard a sound that Astor made. "Astor?" She asked, wondering what he saw that made him let out such sound.

The old mage whispered a chant. "Wynzar feltaras agrimar." Afterward, the group could feel the ground beneath them shake violently as through something was traveling underneath the floor's surface, causing the tremor. An earthly hand appeared on the other end of the hall, attempting to pull the rest of the group, players and prisoners alike into the room.

Astor reacted by unveiling his spell window and immidiately cast "Icy Grasp" to prevent the hand from grabbing the entire group.
The icy hand came up from the ground, managing to stop it just in time.

Noticing the sudden spell war occurring and the way the blonde hesitated for a moment, Ursula sent one of her machine spiders bak the way they came to try and bring in reinforcements. "Spellcasters, spellcasters everywhere!" She roared as she reloaded her explosive addon.

Oh, they were WAY out of their depths, huh? Eyes widening at just how monstrously powerful the enemy mage was, Cain wracked and wracked his mind for an answer to all this. His own magic was mediocre, but surely...

"Ursa, barricades are pointless! For now, focus on keeping them back!"

With that, a song left his own lips as Cain intended to use his own words to silence the elderly mage. If an incantation can't be spoken, his magical potential should be limited, right?

    Cain's spell was ineffective.

Astor signalled one of the prisoners to go and inform the others.

    Alpha stood by, completely oblivious.

Quietly, she hummed and tapped her foot to the tune of Yankee Doodle, Hallelujah, and several old Nickelback songs.

Roland waits for the others to join him on the way to the kennels

Ashiore finished putting her armor back on and found her magical ring. She moved up to the door where the group heading for the animals was gathering. "Sorry for the wait, I'm ready now!"

Roland grunted and strode forward leading the way

"Careful walking up front, Rutledge. You're loud, don't have sharp senses, and will get shot in the back two- count em- two archers." Gwyn teased mildly.

Alpha skipped along at Roland’s side, completely forgetting to recover her wounds and such as she attached herself to him, still humming Linkin Park and Nine Inch Nails.

Ursula clicked her tongue in annoyance. "Yeah, I git it! But ya know, gettin' close a geomancer ain't soundin' like a brilliant idea to me!" Ursula extended her right arm and aimed at the mage, plenty of spider automatas on her hand. The tiny contraptions glowed bright red and charged forward, exploding upon contact with enemies should they manage to reach any of them.

Roland's group headed down the southern hallway where they found jailcells on the side that Abel and the other prisoners escaped from. The barred door leading to the beast jailing area had been blown off, most likely the work of Aalam and Aden.

Roland would search desperately for the cages containing the hedgehogs, foxes, wolves, and other mammals. (notably ignoring any icky reptiles)

Kyupin and Ashiore's beast came running toward Roland whom they recognized.

They had been freed from their cell by the time the group had made it to the scene.

The bomb exploded and hit something, but Ursa couldn't see what she hit since she was still inside the hallway at this point. Astor stopped her from going into the room until the others had been informed.

Roland move forward to the animals slightly, cooing soft gentle words as he assumed they'd think him unfriendly. At that moment he heard a loud explosion to the north of the complex. Alerted he spun on his heels and faced the rest of the party, "It sounds like things are getting heated, we should hurry and help, before anyone is overwhelmed!" Wasting no time he would head to the sound of the blast.

The beast seemed rather restless, their health was hovering around a very low amount. They had been fighting something before the group got there.
Ashiore's mountain lion looked at her with sad kitty eyes.

Ashiore: "I'm sorry! I tried... I'm sorry!"Ashiore stared at her hands like they betrayed her as her healing spell did basically nothing

Gwyn smiled down, a warmness finally finding a home on her face after all this time fighting the torrents of emotions ever dragging her down. The prison had been nothing but hell start to hopefully the near finish, but this was a single bright light in it. Seeing Kyupin and Vulcan reunited loosed a knot of tension the same as getting her longbow back. She was likewise happy to see the lioness she had traveled with before through Brisshal, but it was nothing compared to the wolf. He had grown so much since she had first met him and Kyupin, had helped them foster their bond. She offered the wolf a scratch behind his ear before hardening once more.

They were both weak, but there was little to do for it save escaping. "Ashiore, she'll be fine. We'll all be fine. But we need to get them, us, and the other prisoners out of here bef-" The sound of a distant explosion cut her off and Roland was quick to leave them for the danger. "Kitten, we need to go. That didn't sound good." As much as she longed to rush off to the danger, there wasn't anything in the world that would move her from the Felis' side.

“Luna? Mushy? Evil Blood Spiders #1 and #2? Ribs? Dormouse?!” Alpha called, looking for her menagerie of minipets. Although she’d spared Ashiore, Kyupin, and Gwyn a thoughtful look, she was dead set on finding her living animal collection.

The door to the southern hallway burst open. It only took a few minutes before the ground beneath Roland, Alphabet, Gwyn, Kyupin, and Ashiore began shaking.(edited)

A booming voice traveled down all three halls. "Wynzar feltaras agrimar."

A massive hand appeared at the end of the hallway began sweeping the group through the corridor and hurled everyone of them into the chamber, which was populated by a number of guards and the warden himself. In plain view, everyone can now see his HP. 1916/2000 AC 50

Cain: Oh, hey there! Looks like y'all arrived just in time.

Noticing a shape in the darkness, the ranger tensed for a moment before recognizing a familiar shape. "Nath- no, too small." She moved around the two and their reunion to approach before slowly dropping into a crouch to face off with the serpent half-hidden, but not well enough to escape her keen eyes. She met the sharp, intelligent eyes for a moment before offering a hand slowly. The tongue flicked from the darkness to touch the tips of her fingers, scenting her. The tail was odd enough a sight that it caught her attention, but the snake seemed unconcerned. The sudden rumble and carried words startled all of them and the serpent was quick to coil up her arm and across her shoulders. "Hang on, friend."

Ilusa glanced at the health of the people around her and her own. she did not know how good the others were, but the man did not seem to be that good of a healer when his singing.. Did not do much.. Anything she could notice in fact. The heaviest hitter right now was Astor, that she knew, so she decided to prioritize him. Thus she started to cast a spell, a single heal on the King.

After hearing the other group get thrown into the room Astor signalled for his team to follow behind him. He grabbed onto Ilusa's upper arm and gave it a firm squeeze before he summoned an icy shield, hoping it would protect him against whatever they are about to encounter.

As soon as they were forced to join the fight in the boss chamber against the warden, Gwyn moved closer toward the walls to keep distance and carefully strafed to get a good position where none of her allies would be caught in the crossfire. With the tight loop of coils around her throat and Kyupin kept in her peripheries, the archer pulled back on the gilded bow and set her sights on the mass of men they faced. The Volley Shot's arrow arched over, skimming past the ceiling, before it shattered into a storm of arrows to assail the guards and the warden below. It was a new bow and deserved a proper breaking in and oh how it claimed its first blood. The rain of metal-tipped revenge cut in deep to the guards surrounding the warden at the center of their plight. She'd reap her revenge for Kyupin's suffering in pounds of blood and flesh.(edited)

That was an intimidating amount of people in the room. But now that they were together for the most part, Ashiore was confident they could make it out. Having Naixi around also did wonders for her anxiety over their whole situation. It worked out last time when they were fighting Azog, so chanted a small empowering spell and directed it at Gwyn.

The fight against the warden and his team raged on. Though, after the prisoners have had their turn, the warden took the stage. Raising his staff into the air, the warden summoned a stony eye that spun around the room and any one who did not avoid its gaze in time become petrified.

After the petrification spell, the warden turned his staff upside down and slammed it against the ground, from which a wave of fire began to radiate outward, hitting everyone who was not petrified.

The guards are starting to push outward at the players...

Roland moved to the closest guard slashing at it with both his blades.

Ashiore saw most of the people around begin to freeze around her, their skin turning smooth and gray. Out of panic, she attempted to get rid of whatever condition was on them, targeting the others with healing abilities: Cain, Ilusa, and Alphabet.

Cain, Ilusa, and Alphabet have been cured of Petrification and regained their turn.

Abel readied an action, shouting. "Hey, open the way up for me, I'll go in and try to prevent him from casting the big spell!!!"

Cain coughed, spitting out a stone. Gratitude shone in his eyes towards Ashiore before he spoke his own incantations, cleansing Eleanor, Ursa, and Corvella.(edited)

Cain: How was the statue experience, Ursa?

Astor changed his mind and decided to prepare himself to mitigate damage coming at the group.

Ursula gritted her teeth as the stone curse faded away thanks to Cain's cleansing spell. "It felt like stone? What else!" After a thumbs up, She readied her pickaxe and mined the hell out of the closest guard.

As the stone eye passed over them, Gwyn was quick to avert her eyes as she saw others do the same. The hand not currently curled in a death grip around the longbow offered it a rude gesture before it was safe for her to look back up. Just in time to see the wave of fire wash over. Her position was exposed without any of the stone statues or other bodies in the way and it bit across her skin furiously. She snarled lowly and pulled back against the bowstring that fought her for every inch. The burn in her shoulder only meant a good fight was starting and Gwyn let loose a sharp bark of a laugh as she fired off a Precision Shot toward the Warden. More blood, more pain, more wrongs righted.

There had been moment of dread as she felt the spell take root and then- Then she was blinking and feeling like she slept very uncomfortably, stiff and sore. Then she felt that the time has.. passed since she last blinked. Odd sensation. But it seemed that an attack was being mounted. Thus Ilusa decided to mitigate the damage, by making a barrier of light between them and the enemies.

Eleanor was not the type to get competitive. Usually, she left that sort of thing to the people who had something to prove. But in this moment, inspired by the display put on by the powerful archer she had seen on multiple occasions, but had yet to speak with, Gwyn. The rare, fiery presence of rivalry flared in Eleanor's core. Squinting her eyes, she focused her gaze towards the greatest of their foes, the warden, Eleanor held her hands close to her stomach, the ebb and flow of the arcane energy swirling around her. Her palms, skimming across the surface of this culmination, gathered it up, like the rolling of a snowball, before before packing it all together. She lobbed it, as though the mass of arcane energy was a grenade, towards her enemies.

A moment later, she detonated the projectile, a flash of purple-blue scattering through the air around it. The success of her attack overwhelmed her very briefly with a bit of ego, and as her arms returned to her side, she felt a smirk make attempts at creeping across her face. "Ehh?!" Unfortunately for her, her all too observant eyes had, at that very moment, found purchase upon the stony eye. As her gaze flickered around for a way to escape the imprisonment, her muscles tensed. Panic, adrenaline... But there was no escaping it. Her flesh became enveloped in stone. Luckily for her, she was freed from this imprisonment an instant later by one of her teammates in the ordeal! What a total boss-champ-mvp! Woo! She breathed a sigh of relief, looking for someone to thank, but eventually remaining silent.(edited)

Corvella was not ready when the warden unleashed the stone eye. Everything was clear but she couldn't move an inch of her body at all, was she turned into a stone? Luckily Cain freed her and the others from the petrified condition with a spell. Corvella: "Thanks" She lifted up her shield and rushed to the front, hoping to bash one of the closest guard but missed.

The party has finally realized that each end of the warden staff looked rather different. The head with fire magic was shaped like a golden phoenix, while the end with earth magic took on the shape of a stone shard. The warden remained cool throughout the entire fight, keeping a leveled head even when his force was starting to thin out. With the fire-end of the staff up, the warden called on his familiar, a massive boar composed entirely of raging, wild fire. It began charging directly at the group, intending on spreading fire everywhere it runs to. However, it needed to get past Astor first, who had the backing of Ilusa. Meanwhile, the warden turned his staff upside down to the earth-end and formed an earth dome around himself, cocooning himself within. The dome slowly morphed as time went on… you can see a number of spikes beginning to form on the surface of the subtly expanding and contracting semisphere.(edited)

Astor attempted to hold the boar in place so it does not go on a rampage.(edited)

Ilusa supported him, light spreading around them, sinking into Astor in order to help his effort. The strength of his defensive action became strengthened.

The flaming boar began to break into a frenzied run, goring everyone in its path and spreading fire everywhere it went. People were being launched left and right or impaled by a tusk.(edited)

After he failed to stop the boar, Astor clicked his tongue as he saw that it was far too late. The damage has already been done. He cast rain in silence, hoping it would be enough to stop people from catching fire.(edited)

    "...Naixi...?"

The lion lie motionlessly, not responding to Ashiore's call...

Gwyn suffered the blow of the charging boar with a furious growl, ignoring the dome for the moment, and moved to strike when she caught sight of a familiar shape trampled under the hooves of the beast. "Ash..." She closed her eyes for a moment in mourning before forcing herself to take in the scene lest she be caught next, offguard and distracted. There was no time yet for funerals. She couldn't help the woman or her kind, fallen companion.

Alpha lost a dear companion once. He was a sweet little dingo who loved to play and hated battles. He loved eating fish sticks and, although he was prickly at first, he quickly fell in love with everyone he met. Never had his loyalty wavered, even at his last moments as he suffered a brutal death, protecting one of Alpha's cherished friends. There was never a hint of regret in his eyes from the moment Alpha had found him as a pup, from the times she had spent with him as he grew and, finally, the moments they spent together when he was a large, proud adult. As she watched the lioness fall, burnt to a crisp and motionless, she was scared. When Ashiore, the woman who had saved her, cried for her dear companion, she felt misery. And, when the creature failed to answer, Alpha saw that the scene was remarkably similar. She remembered the exact second of the exact minute of the exact hour and day and week that something identical had happened to her.

She often pondered about it. What if she had done something different? What would happen? Would Terry still be by her side today? She would often be consumed by her thoughts during brief moments of peace; when there was no battle or conflict of any kind to distract her from her sorrow. Once, she had wondered what it would be like if there was someone there with her that day that could've changed everything. She palmed the Mist Wolf Fragment in her pocket, protected by any outside influence, and steeled herself. She often wondered. She often pondered. She often dreamed of an alternate world where there was a tiny difference that changed everything. She had, however, never imagined that she herself would be the one to instigate that change. Braving herself, she placed on a brave facade and a fearless smile, wiping the tears from her eyes as she rushed toward the fresh cadaver.
    (edited)

"No worries!" she shouted, her voice wavering only slightly despite the trembling that engulfed her small frame. "Alphabet Chocolate's here to save the day!" she hoped it would work. She needed it to work. She hesitated. What if it failed like it did with Beretta. What if? Still, she steeled herself once more as magic flowed through her fingers. She'd change fate today. She'd save somebody today and she'd make sure that Naixi would stay by her friend's side for eternity if she must.
