Ashiore arrived just in time to see an enormous boar, bigger than any boar she had ever seen in Brisshal before, charge through the corner of a barn, splinters of wood left in its wake. There was yelling all around, rearing animals and frightened people trying to leave the area. Farmer Bill and his son were nearby, along with a few of the farmhands, keeping a fair distance from the boars. The boar snorted and looked like it was gearing up for another charge, this time through the newly-repaired fences into the fields. No way was she going to let that happen! Tanglefoot From the ground beneath the boar, she conjured up thick vines to wrap around all the boar’s legs. She’d recently put a few more points into her Naturamancy mastery, so it was a surprise when the larger vines continued wrapping up over the whole boar, restraining it so thoroughly that only its head was visible. The boar continued to struggle under its bountiful bedding, which was now starting to grow large shiny tomatoes as well. Ash looked on in surprise. That was new. Though she supposed that with the farm environment around, she shouldn’t be surprised that her plants sort of took on the characteristics of her surroundings. “I, uh, think it won’t be getting out anytime soon. Once it’s tired out I think I can move it back to the forest,” she said to the gathered people, smiling nervously. “Or we can get a head start on dinner,” the son muttered darkly, glaring at the squealing boar.
As Cain screamed into the smoke like a madman, Stelluna stepped back. She had no desire to fill her lungs with smoke and the job would be finished soon with or without maniacal screeching. She had to admit though, were she one of the boars, she would running regardless of the smoke. Towards Cain or away, she wasn't very sure. Regardless, the tactic worked out quite well, even if it was starting to grate on her nerves. When she was pretty sure that the boar were out of earshot range she walked behind Cain and tapped his shoulder, a flat expression on her face that was somewhere between boredom and annoyance, "Are you done? If you want to keep screaming here, go ahead but I'll be going back to the farm." The sooner the job was finished, the better. She was meant to slay men and great beasts, not mildly out of control wildlife. If Cain wanted to stay here shouting into the smoke for inspiration, he was free to do so as far as she was concerned. The only problem was, where was Naixi? She was pretty sure that Ash would be miffed if she allowed her pet to run away and pretend to be a boar or something, but in all of the smoke she couldn't see hair nor hide of the lioness. Well, she couldn't see all that well but she could hear... something. Unless there was yet another evil artifact buried nearby an idyllic settlement, she thought it was pretty safe to assume that it would be exactly what she was looking for. If it was another evil artifact buried nearby an idyllic settlement, all the better. She would have killed for some excitement although that wasn't saying that all that much considering how quick she was to resort to violence. Walking over to investigate the sound, she could see a boar laying on its side and Naixi laying into it. She seemed to have only witnessed the tail end of the meal however as the lioness finished her mouthful and started to look at Stelluna. A content look on the big cat's face followed by a fleeting glance to the body. A silent offer for her to take her fill, one which was very much not appreciated as Stelluna responded by pointing in the vague direction of the farm. Stelluna let out a small, tired sigh, she shouldn't have taken the job but at least most of it was finished. She couldn't care less if the boars came back in a couple months really, there would probably be a dozen or so adventurers waiting in line to take the job by then and she would gladly let them handle it. Hopefully there would be something like a sturdy like a boulder or a bandit chief's skull she could vent into later.
