Open - Noble masquerade

  1. _____Oh the joys of October and halloween. If not for valentines day it would rest as Kaede’s favorite holiday hands down. Her legs crossed and waved slowly over the ledge of the building she currently chose to perch on. Her dress folding just right as she donned for once proper party clothing despite being in such a odd place for such clothing. Her reason was simply to kill time as she waited for the masquerade ball to begin. She only knew of such due to a dare from one of her love interest that simply could not be passed up.

    ~~Flashback~~

”I’m telling you Kaedé, I can tell it’s you from a mile away no matter what you chose to wear to the ball.”

”You would be surprised how well I can clean up my dear, I can be right under your nose and you would be none the wiser until the mask comes off.”

_____Kaedé whispered into the ear of her partner as she finished helping the girl redress with a smile on her face. Kaedé had to admit she never liked helping hide the girl’s skin in what she chose to wear, it made Kaedé mad one of her favorites chose to act more like a prince than the naughty princess that she was around Kaedé. A light hum to dismiss the idea as Kaedé took the hair pin from her friend and held it in her mouth as she began to wrangle in the girl’s hair.

”Then how about you come to my father’s ball tonight, if you can get me alone before I call you out on arriving … I’ll come work here on weekends as your personal maid.~ But if I win… You have to be my maid on the weekends when I come to visit here.~”

”I take that bet with full pride, you best be ready for what awaits you PRINCE Charles.”

_____Kaedé would finish taming the girl’s hair and give her rear a light playful slap to move the girl along as she waved farewell and admired her little pretending prince regaining her manly act before leaving the room. A shallow wave to her personal knight who sighed and followed his master back to their home no doubt. Frame falling back into her bed as she wondered what dress to wear to this ball, it seemed time to find Diablos for a new addition to her collection.

    ~~Flash back end~~

_____Frame shifting towards the ledge as Kaedé allowed her legs to cross off one another before jumping down the two stories and holding her dress down as she descended with grace. Kaedé was far from her usual appearance, and with little help from others. Her hair was neatly washed and brushed, the bulk of her hair that normally remained out of hand along her back was weaved with golden strings and red highlights.

_____Her face was half covered, the upper half hidden behind a mask as black as a empty sky night, trims of gold and red along the edges and a set of horns dawning the top of her disguise. The lower half of her face was toned with tan colors to give her skin more of a sun baked look much like the rest of her skin that was exposed. Her dress was held at her shoulders, the black silk crossed with designs of roses. All along the bottom of her dress was designed with fallen petals before her red high heels and faint gold stocking finished her formal dress.

_____Kaedé spun a few times to enjoy her outfit like always. The bottom of the dress rising a fair amount due to the loose design to help with a layer of elegance before the maiden began making her way towards the noble’s house. To others the house was open to any who wished to dress up and meet the noble’s that lived inside. This group did not fear those of lower birth and welcomed them with open arms.

_____Kaedé herself wondered how many girls she might meet while at the ball, and what naughty orders she would give her little princess after she lost their little bet this October evening.

OOC: Open to four additional participants, it is requested you wear formal attire and a mask by the members of the noble house and the guards or you will not be permitted to enter the ball room.

  2. Look, it wasn't a freaking fantasy world without a ball like in children's stories, okay?

As Sylpha was not a member of high society in real life (and there was very little chance anyone playing this game would be one) she did not expect a ball to open up to the general public. It was highly likely that these events were so that the nobles could meet merchants of various trades without being in a purely business setting.

Didn't mean Sylpha wouldn't exploit the chance to go, however.

So she bought herself a dress from the tailor's, picked up the appropriate mask randomly chosen, then strode into the hall. Her sea-green dress with ruffles going diagonally across seemed to fit the bill. As long as she chose her words and conduct appropriately, she should not be turned away or kicked out.

She just came to see what it looked like inside anyways. An almost gleaming reception hall, complete with chandelier on top. Men in suits and women in dresses mingling about. Social intercourse was something Sylpha was weak at, but she had confidence that her interactions would be kept at a minimum thanks to coming here just to spectate.

Believing that most here were Non Player Characters, she stood in one corner near a guard, pulled up the camera feature and started taking a few screenshots of the place. As long as she didn't approach people on her own accord, she believed she could pass the event relatively unmolested.

  3. _____Arriving at the area took Kaedé longer than she had expected, not to mention getting into the place with how many people seemed to want into this event. But after some time spent in the line and guard checking her over Kaedé was allowed inside. It was not uncommon for her to be checked for weapons at places, her outfit not much helping prevent such considering the dark choice and horns. A light sigh escaped her lips when all of that formality was over and she was allowed to adjust her bra consider one knight decide to move it more than he should have, he was gentle enough so Kaedé forgave him.

_____Once she was un-stressed and in the ball she did not see any area where her planned company was at just yet. With a light sigh she simply began to walk around searching from other angles and getting into small dances with other guest. Some of the guest seemed to want longer dances with Kaedé but as most had been males she tried her best to kindly decline them and moved around the room to keep looking for her little ‘prince’ or her stick in the mud bodyguard.

_____What caused a small stir was the fact she could see the male who was tasked to watch over the princess as clear as day. He was not wearing formal attire, rather his usual armor and cloth sleeve covering his missing arm. Against his back was the large claymore he never seemed to leave bed without, but no sign of Charles. A light sigh as Kaedé finished her lap around the outer rim on the ball room with no real luck. She looked around for someone to help her not stand out for moving closer to the dance area.

_____Sadly for Sylpha, she was the one who caught Kaedé's eye the most. As another player she could notice someone using the picture tool, she herself did it often to capture pictures of those she managed to sleep with to try and later draw to remember it later. Approaching the girl calmly and accidentally triggering her sneak function as she got closer until she reached a hand out to the girl and bowed slightly before her chosen dance partner.

”Would you care to dance with me fair maiden?”

_____Kaedé would speak softly and await a reply from the girl, hoping she did not startle her for suddenly appearing from the mix of crowds.

  4. Most of the time, Alonso was not quite up to attending the fancier social gatherings, but his newfound status as a Marquees pressed him into donning his outfit worn for Astorea's ceremonies. A good investment as he discovered. Keeping the top couple buttons on his dress shirt and jerkin undone, as was his prerogative to show some of his chest, the rest of his outfit remained in proper order. Belt was buckled, shirt tucked into his pants and boots, and overall showing himself as the noble he ought to be. Attending the ball was just a way to improve relations with a neighboring country. Of course, he wanted to message Amane or even Seto to join him, but one of Dormont's servants recognized the man's desires and insisted he be a proper gentleman and brave the storm.

Actually, it was the fact he could not bring himself to deny the stern gaze of an old woman who served the majority of her life in Dormont.

Stupid upbringing that showed respect was a thing.

At least the man was able to pick out the mask he desired. Opting for one that covered the top half of his face, leaving his mouth and part of his more feline nose visible, its base design resembled that of a lion. Fitting as it were. The baseline white color was enveloped by a cyan mane, cousin of the blue shade that made up Alonso's mane like hair. Other details enveloped the mask, such as eye markings and swirling designs, marked by a red compatible with the cyan mane. He was going to stand out irregardless, but having a recognizable theme may prove beneficial in the long run.

Perhaps he might find a good man to make conversation with tonight. His real life daughters did keep insisting the Felis start dating again. This counted as online dating, right? Am I really that out of touch, he thought. He stood pondering his lack of experience hooking up with people in this day and age, even more so the appropriate, cultural limitations provided by the game's atmosphere. A sigh escaped the bearish man's lips, thinking of nothing but mingle, nod, and get out before he embarrassed himself. To his knowledge, nobody he recognized was going to show up.

Nodding towards a guard, the hosts at the front door held the mass of wood open, giving more attention to a guest of higher standing. It was a party for all, yes, but there were still circumstances by which the people regarded as proper, irregardless of the charitable invite. Alonso's stance remained upright, his imposing stance garnering a few looks of surprise and awe. His clenched fists swayed with each footstep, wide stride emanating a sense of power. Funny how he fit the role of a proud noble despite his experience. Giggling and cheery smiles resounded from those who gave the Felis a comfortable greeting.

"Wonderful to see you, my lord."

"How lovely to see a Marquees of such a young nation gracing this ball with his presence!"

"Ohohoho, here I thought I would never mistake a noble for a proud beast! Apologies and most sincere regards."

No words escaped the Marquees's throat, giving a polite bow to those he encountered. Just like those upbeat members of high society to be pleasant, as though the entire thing were a fairy tale he just happened upon. Meaning nobody had yet to catch his interest. Hurray. So far this whole ordeal was just a waste of his time, though even Alonso knew when he was not even trying to enjoy himself. The lion's tail that kept a symbiotic relationship with him kept its fuzzy self to a gentle glide along the ground. As the tail kept its sense of respect, Alonso made sure to keep his.

Being the grumpy cat man all day was not the best way to meet others.

In particular, two woman towards a corner caught his eye: players, it seemed. Did he say something? Get a servant to call for their attention? No no no, he needed to start taking initiative in his life. They seemed young, and he was smart enough to not come off as a man needing more than a conversation. Neither of them were his type anyways. Alonso began a steady pace towards the two players, keeping his air of professionalism and status. Looking between @Kaede Hoshi and @Sylpha Astarte, the large man halted his body, hands clasped behind his back, "You two seem to enjoy being off from the crowd, if I had to guess. Not enjoying yourselves at all with these people I take it? Hope I'm not intruding here, since being near the wall is, well, common with me."

  5. Elongated ears twitched once. Then, suddenly...
    "Woah?!?"
The azure-haired Yladian immediately covered her mouth to muffle her surprise when a voice called out to her. She did not see the other person coming at all, thanks to said person's sneaking abilities. Okay, being approached wasn't out of Sylpha's expectations, but this person popping out from nowhere gave Sylpha quite a startle.

Then there was what this other person was doing, which took a while to process. Asked to dance? Yes, she was in a ball room. That was natural. Except, the voice was feminine... no, that part didn't matter. The person who was bowed with a hand out asking to dance
was a female. She could tell because of the black silken dress with rose motifs that accentuated the person's clearly feminine curves. Yeah, that part was unexpected.

"I, uhhh, am pretty sure two women dancing isn't the norm here."

Yeah. From what was being displayed in the ball room, it was the stereotypical waltz. Who would even be the lead, then? Sylpha was quite sure the norm was being approached by a man. Like that middle aged cat eared man with the cyan mane over there. Yeah, that was more like-

Oh dear, if this keeps going there was going to be a crowd around here. He seemed innocent enough and from his words, it didn't look like he was after a dance partner either.

"Well, this is my first ball, so..." Sylpha's voice trailed off and she left it there. She didn't know what to do? That was correct. She didn't find anyone who struck her fancy? That was also correct. She preferred being away from a crowd? That, too, was correct. Combining all of the above into one answer wasn't a skill that Sylpha possessed. So, she just left it there and let them fill in the blank.

  6. _____Kaedé could only frown with a slight show of sadness to her expression. Even if it was not normal was no real reason to shoot it down so harshly, or so Kaedé took it as in her own mind. With a slight bow at the declined offer Kaedé figured it would be best not to push the issue with the girl and chose to fare her luck going into the dance area alone to search for her friend leaving the two blue toned haired people to converse.

_____Luck would seem to favor Kaedé as she noticed her princess was in the center of it all with a young woman and her father not far with his wife to keep an eye on them. Kaedé herself was having a small bit of trouble getting much closer, she herself without a partner would stand out so she had to use her sneak and weave along with the group to steady her approach. She now understood why Charles felt such confidence that Kaedé would fail to approach without getting noticed.

_____That would not exactly stop Kaedé as she simply moved with the group watching for when Charles decided to break away from the dance and once he did Kaedé would try to approach without being noticed. When her chance arrived she took action to move closer, a gentle hand on the prince’s shoulder to break her sneak ability and reveal she was close as only a smile crossed her face.

”I feel so betrayed you would dance so long with another girl my little prince. Here I got all dressed up to meet you and it seems you gave up looking for me before the strike of midnight.~”

  7. Brow raised when one the girls slipped away and off into the crowd, the man figured it best not to question her intentions. This was not the place to start a conflict, after all. Quite the change from Alonso's usual temptation to find the nearest, hostile mob, examine its statistics, then murder it for experience. In addition, the rest of the ball goers seemed amicable enough despite the whole 'rich and noble' aesthetic. Hell was going to raise if anyone found out the cat man was noble but not rich. Not yet, at least. Zoning out to huddle back within his thoughts was a bad habit the man continued to act upon. Wait. Was someone talking to him? Something about this being her first ball.

Eyes widened once he figured out he was in the middle of a conversation. Last he checked no part of him should be that much of an airhead. A rebound to bring the discussion up to speed was a surefire way to prove he was paying attention, somewhat, "To be fair it's my first as well. Figured it better to find at least one other wall flower who shares my hesitation to deal with these people." As if on cue, an outburst of laughter from a small group nearby caused the man's ears to shoot up, hair on the back of his neck rising. Of course he was going to embarrass himself by giving in to his feline instincts.

His bulky fingers moved under his mask, rubbing both eyes, "Sorry. Not used to being among... this sort of crowd. More so that I can't bring myself to discuss whatever business garbage the rest of 'em decide to bring up. Hell, I'm surprised I haven't been dragged into a group of men laughing about some kind of bullshit or another regarding things I don't particularly agree with." The leonine mask was readjusted to make certain dress code was followed. No amount of stress was going solve his problems or concerns. Even then the notion of having done something wrong tingled within the giant's chest.

"Am... am I ranting? I think I'm ranting now," he said. Now that he observed this blue haired woman further, some form of hesitation became apparent. Curious, the man spoke up again, "That aside, you okay? Ya look pretty uncomfortable standing there." There he goes, acting upon those concerned father mannerisms again to a stranger. While not a bad thing in general, this was starting to veer towards a list of bad habits. Heck at this point the Felis hoped nobody thought these two were father and daughter considering their hair colors. Maybe the different ears and the fact Alonso had a tail was enough to show he was not related to this woman.

  8. This was quite different for the norm that Zayne would go to. However, there was always a chance for him to expand his horizons. Dressed up in a three piece suit, he adjusted the white jacket to be left open. Sliding the tie to be loose around his neck, he rubbed a finger on the inside of his collar. not his style. Normally he would be dressed in his full armor, but due to the appearances of the ball, he couldn't come in the armor.

Nor could he enter without a mask. Accenting his white jacket and pants, the shirt and mask were raven black. The mask covering most of the right side of his face, and only covering his left side just around the eye. Walking up the steps, he presented himself to the guards. After a quick check, he was allowed to enter.

It seemed that most of the party were a few who danced, others who socialized, and the few who were in the corners talking to one another. Zayne looked around. Unsure what to do exactly. So where else would he go but the food table. Just picking up one of the various cookies on the table, He took a small bite. It was quite scrumptious. Slowly chewing it, Zayne finished the cookie and grabbed a second one before walking away.

Snapping open the menu by opening his hand, Zayne looked around as he took another bite. His eyes glowing slightly yellow as he was finding names of what seemed to be other players of the game, and a few listings of the more notable NPCs. One that he did notice was two that were standing right next to one another. The large man with blue hair and ears telling of his species, while the girl had pointy ears and azure hair instead. Quite different.

Amuzing himself as he walked over, he merely asked the question, "A human, a Yladian, and Felis walked into the bar..." alone and silent to himself. Getting closer to the two, he could hear the end of the larger man asking the girl if she felt uncomfortable.

Looking at the man and the woman, Zayne nodded his welcome and looked at the two of them, and asked a rhetorical question to either.

"I guess that means I am not the only one who feels nervous being here then?"

A small smile and a nervous chuckle later as he faced the girl. Bowing slightly and introducing himself. Ladies were to be treated with respect right? As such, Zayne did so.

"Zayne. I hope you don't mind that I joined you and your friend here?"

Yes, the older man may be a potential father figure, or even a teacher, it was best to just leave it at friends, and be told it was something more, than the awkward moment of thinking it was something more when it was not. Turning to then face the man,

"If I interrupted you two, My sincere towards you two."

  9. _____Needless to say the prince was taken a bit by surprise as they looked over to see Kaede so close almost ready to steal a kiss if not for knowing what that would cause in such an area. Moving to offer her hand to the prince before they smiled and took it pulling kaede close to whisper in the girl’s ear. ”Seems you won… Will it be a short skirt, or nothing at all knowing you my dear?” Kaede would simply giggle before shrugging to tease her princess and male clothing and simply enjoyed the dance with them, slightly looking over to the group of people she had once been with and trying to guide their dance to that direction.

_____Getting closer it seemed the group was already slightly interlocked into a conversation and not fully wanting to impose she once more tried to guide the dance only to feel someone tightly gripping her shoulder. Moving apart from her prince to see a group of males that looked less then trying to fit into the crowd glaring at her and the prince before speaking. ”Why don’t you let the men talk with each other little maiden.” Kaede was almost ready to hit the male for his comment before Charles moved forward as if defending her honor, oh how much she wanted to strip the girl for that.

”Sadly I promised this maiden a dance we have yet to finish, and I also do not take so kindly to how you spoke to her. I have no business talking with you and as such must ask you to either enjoy the event, or leave if you wish to make a larger scene.”

_____Kaede was almost surprised at how different Charles was from the Charlotte she knew. Moving to stay behind the prince and watching as guards moved in and stood down when the prince waved his hand for them to do such. The group only seemed to mumble before storming out of the building. Both the prince and some of the guards moved to quickly make sure nobody felt worried or off because of the slight show that had happen. Kaede only humming happily as she began imagining a maid outfit on the prince.

  10. Instead of having her words returned, the lady who approached the Yladian just said nothing, turned around and left with a frown. Standing motionless, she contemplated if she had said something that was a deal breaker. The lady was, unlike her, courageous enough to approach, so it had to be the Yladian's fault she left.

Before she got to think too much, the man with the cyan mane spoke up. As it turned out, she wasn't the only one who was coming to an event like this for the first time... or preferred to be silent. His sudden reaction to nearby laughter made Sylpha's ears twitch wildly and send the culprits a quick glance.

None of them were looking their way.

The man kept on talking about the general atmosphere of the place. Certainly, placing someone who wasn't used to high society into a place where they mingled, especially those of the medieval world, would have them hard-pressed to fit in. They certainly looked like they belonged, but they couldn't act the same way.

He asked if she felt the same way, but before she could even speak up, a second man came in. This newcomer dressed in white expressed similar feelings, but somehow got to actually introducing himself. Perhaps he was one of the more outgoing ones.

Sylpha was wearing inch-high heels, but both men were almost one feet higher, with the Felis being over that. Having these two in front of her made her wonder just what kind of misfits they looked like. Likely a band of adventurers, since only a group of players would be like that.

Ah, right, she was supposed to talk.

"Ah, uhm, I'm Sylpha Astarte. You can be around... just don't expect me to dance." She welcomed him without any resistance. He wasn't asking her to dance, so she didn't have to come up with any excuse.

"That being said, even if there isn't much to do, I don't regret coming. Eavesdropping on political talk might be quite beneficial, though."

Sylpha just left it at that. Instead, she turned her attention to the half-finished morsel in Zayne's hand.

"How's that taste, by the way?" She asked, gesturing to the snack with her eyes.

  11. Magdalyn had to fight to keep the skip from her step.

As she hurried down the street, billowing skirts clenched in her balled fists, she nearly trembled with excitement. When was the last time she had attended a formal event? Senior prom, nearly seven years ago? It certainly was not for lack of want, considering how much she enjoyed dressing up, and dancing, but she had little excuse to do either after high school. Now, her silver slippers seemed to float above the pavement as she approached the noble's house. It wouldn't be long now.

Her mane of blue hair was twisted into a knot at her neck, elaborate, but up and out of the way. It was not her usual preference, but there was enough flow in her miles of skirts that loose hair would only detract from the gown's brilliance. She had no curves here in Terra, so there would be nothing for the fabric to hug were she to choose a skin-tight piece. Instead, Mags had opted for a dress the color of storm clouds, which moved with the same easy grace as one too. It swirled about her, layers of soft petticoats in various shades of white, gray, and black. The tailor had carried out her vision perfectly, inspired by her naturamancy, and love of the ever-changing sky. The woman was already planning to have the dress recreated in the real world for.. something. Her own pleasure, probably. To stare at it while it hung in her closet.

But now, she was attending a ball. The thought of it sparkled a wide grin, one that she had been wearing all afternoon. She wore it still as she nodded first to the guard, and then to a butler, before sweeping into the hall.

  12. The rumble of Alonso's sonorous hum wandered alongside a raised brow at the conversation interloper. Part of the large Felis felt guilty considering this side of the room was starting to become a group magnet. Neither he nor the woman seemed to have desired attention, but there was no use in stopping it from occurring. Besides, this young man seemed harmless enough. Alonso decided to let his witty side ooze from his vocals, "Might as well be a bunch of misfits at this point, considering none of us seem like we usually fit in to places like these." What was this, the high school proms where he stood around all stoic faced and looking as though he kicked puppies in his spare time?

No no no, thoughts like that were a surefire way to make this party a miserable pile of walking flesh bags.

"But in all seriousness, I can't say you aren't welcome to be with us. You haven't done anything to prove me wrong otherwise," he said, giving a quick shrug as his eyes maneuvered the ballroom. Just... a bunch of nobles doing noble things still. No reason to expect a show where the man can stand back and watch the stupidity unfold. Things like that were also rude to have happen, the Felis was certain. Mostly certain. Some moment of climatic action just had to be lying in the midst of it all, aching to throw a monkey wrench in the every working system that was a party created by some rich bastard. Right, there was still a conversation going on.

His little gathering became him, Sylpha, and this Zayne person. Two of three people having introduced themselves, it was proper the man gave his own. But how to proceed? Did he just give his standard, in game name and act like he was far from important? Or perhaps he give his actual title and risk garnering the attention of the actual nobles in the room? Choices such as these became more complicated that he should have made them. Mental sighs indicated it was too late to revert from the path of redundant and paranoia inducing thoughts. Neither of these two players, as far as he was aware, were going to be an issue if the man just went for it.

    Right?

There was a sole way to find out if the paranoia was founded. Clearing his throat, the Felis spoke up again, "Due to recent events my full name is Marquees Alonso Thorlion, though you don't need to bother yourselves calling me 'Lord' and other crap like that. Still not used to the whole deal." Footsteps echoing within the far reaching ballroom became altered. Once again Alonso placed his attention towards the ball goers, noting a specific pair inching closer towards them for a moment. Ah, right, one of those two was bothering Sylpha for a dance before or something to that effect. For now the man opted to gaze upon the dancers, taking in the environment of a fairy tale ball.

Until the moment came where a group of men tried to part the couple of significance. The confrontation did not seem to be on amicable terms, and the brawler shifted a foot towards the direction, a frown crawling across his jaw. Some people needed to have their own jawline busted. Alonso did not know who the couple were, but judging by relative appearance, they were a pair of youths trying to enjoy themselves. Standard fantasy noted that at least one person was going to be jealous.

Goddamnit, no you idiot, this isn't the place to play dad for some kid you don't know.

    Use common sense dingus.

One of those moments to let the wise conscious guide its owner to the safe and realistic options. The group of men had stormed off, leaving the rest of the party alone. Good. He did not need to involve himself in a fist fight this evening. Rolling his massive shoulders back, Alonso refocused himself towards his group's conversation, "To be honest, I haven't been paying much attention to the other conversations going around. Political talk just pisses me off sometimes. Unless, well, that's what you're supposed to get involved with at these things. Would've headed over and grabbed somethin' to eat, but I'm also not sure when the so called proper time came up to do that if any."

  13. The booming voice filled the space as if it were five times smaller. Good acoustics, Magdalyn mused, pressing herself closer to the wall to avoid colliding with a hurried, well-dressed man. He had salt-and-pepper hair, clean cut, and shoes she just knew she could see her face in were she to get close enough. He looked like he had money, and not just the spare change she carried around. The man looked like he belonged there, among the glitz, glam, and expensive champagne. She wondered if her fancy dress was convincing enough.

But Magdalyn had remained pressed against the edge of the ballroom, both the literal and proverbial wall-flower. The party was beautiful, wonderful, and also a tad on the lonely side. Though, what had she expected, all things considered? She had come alone, and had known no one else who planned to attend. Considering how comfortable many of the party-goers appeared, Mags wondered if they were not NPCs, content to spend their virtual days spinning around this data-constructed dance floors. The idea intrigued her. But that guy, she mused, thinking of the loud-mouthed patron from before, is more likely a player. Who else would be willing to announce how out of place they felt? Was that not social suicide?

Something about his willingness to do so intrigued her even more than the notion of NPC aristocrats. So in a flourish of gray skirts, she pushed off from the wall, and ghosted her way through the crowd until she was standing beside the giant.

"Giant" was not a term she was often able to use, given her own height of 6'1. Though this man had only a couple of inches on her, the amount of muscle more than made up for it. He was built like a tank, or a tree-trunk. Or both, at the same time, probably. Comparisons aside, he was one of the sturdiest men she had ever seen, in-game or out. And he still manged to look good in formal attire.

"If you're heading for the buffet," she muttered over the din of the party, "I'd be happy to join you. If two of us go for it, surely it won't be so taboo."

  14. _____As her prince returned Kaede played the funnest card she had in her hand at the time, rushing over to hug the girl’s arm and tremble, a fake tear drifting from her eye as she acted scared from what just happen causing her prince all the more confusion before catching on and lightly pinching kaede’s ass for her acting skills. Moaning lightly to make the other girl blush and move her hand away causing her to puff her cheeks up for not getting that she liked that. Moving away slowly as she happily spun a small circle and leaned towards her prince with a smile.

”Why don’t we go to your room or somewhere private so we can talk about a certain ‘something’ you asked me to look into?~”

The prince’s eyes widened slightly before waving her arm around Kaede and guiding her towards the balcony order some guards to watch the door and leave them alone for the moment as the two overlooked the small pond in the yard, Kaede leaning against Charles to make it look like a romantic talk with a view scenery to those who check towards them. Moving to look up slightly as she looked serious and began speaking about the matter previously hinted about.

”It took some work I'll have you know but I have three lovely ladies working as your family's grave keepers. In your coat pocket is a small bottle that will practically stop your pulse long enough to get you into there so they can swap you out and you're free from this task like you wanted. Just know once you're free from here you have to start over, you won’t have anything you have now... “

_____Charles would look to see the potion and sigh lightly, likely she was worried what else Kaede could do if she could leave something like that in his pocket without so much as a hint to doing it. Kaede’s focus however was more worried about the girl, if she did go through with this Kaede would not be able to keep seeing her, it was the only way to avoid the girl’s father from finding out she had part in everything. She did not like the idea of losing her chance to have some naughty fun with a royal at all.

”You work miracles for girls don’t you.~ ...I know what it will cost me, and how hard it is for you… but I can’t keep being his toy for his greed… besides, you act like we can’t still set up some dates to get together and make up for the longer times apart.~”

_____Charles would lean against Kaede as the redhead could only hit her for her comments. Charlotte knew that was not possible and lying was something Kaede never liked from people she was sleeping with. Holding her close friend for a few more moments before they had to break things up to avoid people pinning them for doing something they would not approve of.

_____Returning back to the party Charlotte leaned down to kiss Kaede’s hand before saying farewell and returning to the center of the party to resume what she needed to do as forced by her father. Waving slightly to the father in question before Kaede moved to make her exit from the place. She did not want to be here or know how Charles planned to intake the content of the potion but she knew her heart would sink if she witnessed it.

_____Before leaving Kaede would casually wave goodbye to the small group of players she had talked to before going to her prince and looking slightly grim. Not long after the entire middle part of the room would break out into gasping and scattering as the prince laid on the ground motionless with his father leaning over the figure trying to see what was wrong and yelling at the guards to start finding out who had done such a thing right under his nose and in his very own home.

_____If the group of adventures did not wish to get caught up in the mess to come, they only had a small frame of time to leave before they got pulled over to be questioned and checked for anything that could have caused the prince to suddenly fall over.
