Eastwatch
Eastwatch's attempt to hinder the enemy was successful. With each member's effort to slow down the enemy's advance, your group was able to delay the enemy for a full hour before they cut right through the farmland like butter. Although your group was able to stay ahead of the enemy, you suddenly hear the sound of horses in droves, coming from the north. With your force quickly outnumbered and now about to get caught in a pincer, it seemed like a good time to retreat to the wall. A message popped up on your UI at that time. It was from @Blithe Bombón
*Blithe
Alright, team! You know the drill~ Enemy forces are coming in fast, so it's time for us to retreat. Haul all your asses as fast as you can back to the wall, and make sure not to trip along the way.
You might just get caught up with the enemy cavalry, and it would be really upsetting to lose someone at the beginning of the fight. Okay? Okay. Bonne chance!~
As you retreated, you noticed that the enemy started to ransack the farms and homesteads, turning those buildings upside down and taking any scrap of food they could find. It's going to take the nation a while to recover when the rest of the enemy forces seize the rest of the food. Astorea was in trouble as winter comes.
By the time you get back to the Eastern wall, the soldiers manning the wall looked for the sign of either @Blithe Bombón or @Alonso Thorlion. Once they were able to confirm that it was the Eastwatch, the door bridge was quickly lowered, stretching over the steep moat, giving your group access into the safety of the wall.
Unfortunately, the enemy cavalry cut off your route into the castle and engaged you in direct combat while a number of them attempted to enter the gate. Fortunately, the defending soldiers were able to kill any of the riders who managed to break through. You took some damage attempting to get inside.
Before you could take a moment to rest after the sudden encounter, you looked up and caught the sight of lit arrows blocking out the sky. In what seemed like seconds, the fiery ammunition rained down upon a wall. Any soldiers who were not prepared were struck and caught on fire. The burning men would scream as they ran around and spread fire everywhere. Some soldiers panicked and pushed them off the wall. These were not trained soldiers, so their inadequacy started to come out in more difficult times.
A report came in amid the chaos from a scout who reported that the enemy was setting up siege weapons and will use it at some point. However, just as you overheard the report, a massive boulder crashed into one of the towers standing up from the wall, completely decimating it and any sap unlucky enough to occupy it. Five more boulders came after the first, taking Eastwatch by a complete surprise.
If you peered over the battlement, you'll be able to see that the enemy's infantry have started to close in on the wall, which was expected, considering they were right on your heels during the retreat.

The enemy subtracted 2000, while Eastwatch added 979. If this number ever reach zero, the wall will be considered fallen and the enemy will have successfully capture it.

Melee Defense Anyone without ranged-combat should man a defensive machine such as the arrow cart or ballista.
Other Defense If you're not directly on the wall, then help out with the wounded, fix the wall, or figure out ways to make yourself useful while avoiding danger.
