    Whatever effect the gas attack had, it sure was strong. Velka could already feel her limbs starting to slow down and get stiffer with each passing moment. Something something geomancy rock hard blah blah. With that out of the way, major point was that she didn't have much time left considering the looming paralyzed icon status. Without further hesitation, she drew a card and began her assault.

    The Queen of Clubs, well, it would suit her purpose enough. Deciding to give it a bit of an extra kick, she used Latona: Luminosity to imbue the Tower Shield with divine energy before sending it to crush the slime. To her disbelief, it seemed like whatever buff she had done, seemed to do the opposite of the intended effect as the slime absorbed the blow like a needy DPS absorbed heals. Speaking of which, one of their party members had just died. Which was an incredibly bad start to the boss fight and she hoped that it didn't set a precedent for the rest of it. Velka called out to the group,

    "Anyone have a revive up? Kaede's de-"

    That was the only thing she managed to get out before the paralysis took effect and she fell over like cardboard cutout. Taking a glance at her status menu... Okay what? Why did that status effect last so long? Unfortunate that she couldn't use speak to call out for help but the party was pretty stretched thin as it was. She would just have to wait out the Paralysis or hope that one of the supports noticed her and cleansed the debuff.

    CONFUSION (18 Hours)

    She wasn't sure what hurt more- the general attack or the headache caused by the toxic ooze that had managed to get into her system. She felt uneasy, and a bit on the dizzy side. Adding in her panic over seeing someone die just moment within the same period of time, and well... It was hard to say how she was going to deal with things, with her Martyr Complex listed flashing as red as the confusion taking over her mind.

    Cursing nonstop for a few moments, she glared around her and rushed to Kaede's side, noting the way her eyes felt strained from the pain through her body. "Can't... Head hurts... But I... I have to do something..." She bit her lip, fighting through it. Which was the skill I need to save her...? I hope I'm able to remember right...

    With a growl, she shouted a bit louder than she'd meant to as she chanted. "Let's look back to before harm's way found you!"

    With holy power, she turned back the clock, watching a glow take over the red-head's body. "Kaede, don't make this second chance be in vain..." She mused, a bit unsteady on her feat. "This is the only time I can do this... So be careful and.. Ow..." The pain of her head, her brain ringing like a ping-pong bouncing in her skull- it was too much to let her finish her words. "This thing... Is way worse than I imagined it could be... Damnit..." Falling silent, she held her temples, rubbing them quietly. She'd let the others fight for now- she had to rest her head, until the clouds in her mind started to heal.

    The sludge ripped through them about as easily as the golden haired man sunk his blades into the muddy-esque viscous body. Which, for a detailed description, wasn't extremely easy. Or at all really, it was more like a hit, slow sink, and then a slight struggle to pull his blades out. Which, considering the now fallen Kaede, was pretty accurate. The party wasn't absolutely getting their asses handed to them, but it was a real fight for sure. The man was taken a back for just a moment, as the red-haired womanizer he was actually quite fond of dropped in battle.

    It was expected, not because he thought her weak, but because of the amount of damage she was dealing to it, or atleast seemingly. But that came at the cost of leaving her self quite open, something he hadn't known her to be so risky as to do. Still, he fought on, trusting that his allies would revive the spunky woman, just as his had done way back on the Cliffside.

    So his attack continued, though things seemed to be quite easier for him; The man's movements felt faster, less inhibited by the game, and something about the swords made it feel as though he had hit harder. It clicked in his mind; it was Cain's song. At first, the nobly dressed man had drowned out the song, not thinking it was for him, but it was clear that once the song ended, he was the intended target. This raised his heartbeat, making the man feel useful for once as he continued with his flurry of swings and cuts into the mucus-like body of the enemy they were fighting.

    With some bitterness and consideration, she clutched the rag to her face still. The monster in front of her, even if she despised it's nature and found it a lacking compared to other creatures it was far more irritating. Thinking about how it seemed to smell of the red rule though, Lucia didn't find it all that surprising, that sort of thing always did seem to just be irksome innately. The smell of confusion was something Lucia wouldn't tolerate though, she knew her own luck, knew what it would end up making her do, she wouldn't suffer under confusion even at the cost of death. Instead, she gestured with a hand in an effort to use the lavender lights of her magic to cleanse away the dormant confusion that would have otherwise burst forth soon after. Her gaze not leaving the creature in front of her, her frown deepened. Once again she found herself relying on others, fate was really far too cruel.

    The Chaos Megalomass Ooze begins to bob as the walls of it's flesh slowly grow large boils. Those boils then burst as large tree trunk like tendrils begin to expand from it's body approaching the 'walls' of the different corners of the distorted space....

    (5) Paralyzed: Unable to take action for 2 - 10 hours or until cured.
    (6)Confused: Roll a additional die when you roll. Lasts 5 - 20 hours or until cured. Use 2xd100 and look at the 2nd die to determine the effects below.
    • 50-100: Normal action.
    • 25-49: Actions canceled due to mental disorientation.
    • 1-24: Perform a attack on the last ally who posted based on 1/4 number rolled.
    (7)Diseased: Unable to have HP restored until cured.

    The man wasn't honestly sure what to do, as they continued to hack at the sludge and it seemed to little effect. Things seemed to be getting worse and worse by the moment as sometimes the party members did assloads of damage, and sometimes they did nothing, Zelrius not quite yet falling victim to yet.

    That was quick to change following this series of events; The man had an idea, born slightly from his own cockiness. He moved slightly, edging to the side of the creature to meet up with two comrades. There, the man lept forth, just as he did with his normal fighting style, though instead taking a page from Kaede's book; he didn't leap back to safety after a few swings. Instead, the golden whirlwind, once reignited, just kept on going, and going and going. Flashes of steel and iron clashing against the ever so muddy body of the creature, a deseparte attempt by the man to do any significant amount of damage.

    And failing to do so miserably.

    She was still disoriented, but she could at least feel able to fight- or, with how low the health of her allies was, heal. She looked around warily, struggling to keep an eye on who was at the low side of the spectrum, but made a decision- especially after seeing Zelrius's reckless abandon in attacking the blob. He's gonna need as much as he can get... And Kaede's still pretty down and out from reviving... And I'm not doing so hot either...

    Her mind made up, she did another Fate Rewinder- this time, on all three of them. Her prayers were answered, but barely. "Damnit... That did nothing! I mean, it did something, but it's practically nothing! Agh!"

    Megan wearily pushed herself off the ground balancing upon her staff as she did so. The muk from the floor had covered the front of her mage's robe with a sticky black substance that smelled worse than anything Megan had ever encountered. It took every fiber of her being not to throw up on the spot. Well at least for a little bit until she gave up, coughing up the contents of a meager lunch into the disgusting stew that surrounded them. Feeling much better, Megan ran towards the other group near Zone 2, looking haggard.

    "Uhhh...." she said as Zelrius yelled at her, taking out the crystal from before. Staring at it Megan hesitated, "I don't wanna....It's...so...magic." For a moment the girl stared at the stone's beauty and managed to forget the battle surrounding her. "I guess.... I have too... though... here goes nothing...." Wincing Megan held the Crystal over her head pouring her magic into it as she tried to activate its special effect.

    _____Kaede was not exactly happy to get thrown up on, much less die for the second time in her time playing the game. However unlike her first death she was soon thrown back into the area to see the slime and everyone fighting. Hearing Sola talk about only able to bring her back once she could only slowly nod. After her small attack and some time trying to clean herself up Kaede was back and very pissed off yet again. Moving her weapon back at the ready Kaede would growl and aim it towards the giant slime, rage glowing in her crimson eyes.

    ”you have ANY FUCKING IDEA, HOW HARD THIS IS GOING TO BE TO CLEAN OUT!!!”

    _____Moving her weapon down to her side before rushing forward at the slime and began slashing at it with everything she had. Sadly however likely due to the amount of vomit or her hair covering her eyes most attacks would not do as much as she would have wanted and some likely missed entirely as she just wanted to end this as quickly as possible. Moving back slightly as she clenched her free hand tightly and shouted again to the slime.

    ”I Just want to take a mother fucking shower! Not fight a god damn boss! That is the other groups fucking job!”

    _____Rushing forward again and lightly holding her weapon with both hands as she continued her attacks against the creature trying to cut away the large parts that moved towards the walls or attack it directly. Overall she was just swinging her sword as hard and quickly as she could and caring little for the result outside wanting this to be over with. Growling all the while as her spirits she had contracts with chimed for her to use magic again.

    _____Shifting her weight to the right and slashing as hard as she could at one of the tree trunk sized parts before spinning the weapon and trying to stab it for added damage to the area. A small spin to slash the main body and a downward slash to link the attacks as best she could doing very little. Mostly because she was swinging to shallow at her target but clearly she was not going to ease the breaks unless someone told her to calm down. Even that would only have so much effect on the girl and any of the other girls could likely understand her reasons.

    _____She was covered head to toe, s slime vomit, wreaked of sewers, stepped into sewage, still had some of it IN HER SANDALS and was slightly sleep deprived. Not to mention it was not exactly a good time to have her angry either, she was a woman on a warpath in her current state of mind.

    Lucia hesitated seeing the creature beginning to shift and move. Knowing it was not a good time to stay put, she moved with the others, sliding into place among a few others with a bitter expression. "Room for a few more I hope." She spoke, her small group of undead soldiers still keeping her relatively well surrounded and protected. It did little int he toxic atmosphere aside from give her some naive notions of security, but even so, the elven commander glared sharply at the monster with anticipation and high expectations. "Go, All of you, don't hold back, at this point, all we can do is pray." She explained bitterly, with a sweep of her hand, the undead dove towards the slime creature, as if intending to jump inside of it they darted forward with weapons raised slaming both weapon and body into the creature to try and penetrate even an inch deeper if they could. It left Lucia a bit more vulnerable, but after the healing of the final boss woman's mysterious artifact, she couldn't find a compelling reason to hold back any more.

    Freedom! Giving a grateful smile and slight bow to Megan, Velka decided it was time to do what tanks did best. Which was protect allies and not try to smack the boss around and taunt it when she had zero idea if it would take the bait. It was a slime after all, and she wasn't sure if such beasts could even think beyond 'angry angry eat smash'. She also made a note to thank Trinity the next time she saw her. She wasn't going to lie, Trinity was a bit disconcerting at times but this definite put her in Velka's good books. Anyways...

    Joker. Really? Of all the times... today was just not her day... No, she wasn't taking RNG's nonsense today. Fueled by a combination of frustration and adrenaline, she casted Fortuna: Rebellion swiftly and banished that card back to the Shadow Realm bottom of her deck where it would hopefully remain there until the fight was over. Resisting the urge to shuffle the deck, it was time to redraw.

    Now, this was her time to shine. Deciding to keep it simple, ignored the oddly comforting yet weird sensation of having someone peel themselves off of you and created a barrier from old debris and rubble. Seeing that the Revelation clone had done the same, it gave her an elaborate bow before dissipating. Now in possession of two shields, she positioned them such that they would defend Lucia and Zelrius against any future attacks. While it left her open... she could take it, especially after that mysterious crystal's healing wave.

    The tendrils reach their destinations and with a sudden loud echoing moan that seemed to sounded like thousands of screams being cried out in unison, the chaotic mass of sludge begins to turn it's body. The massive tendrils dragging along the wall as they went! Your party will be run over if they don't move fast! The slimy surface of this creature looks beyond toxic.. perhaps even otherworldly...
    Megaloswirl: Oozing appendages the size of giant oak trees extend outward and stick to the walls. Megalomass Ooze begins to rotate it's body pulling the slime tentacles in a clockwise or counter clockwise circle. Running over anyone who can't keep moving along with the rotation.

    • 50 Damage (+Chaotic Attack) to all zones.
    • Damage can be evaded if you took the "Run in a circle" special action below.
