  1. Nat 1 Event: Mission Aborted

The battle exploded into light. Completely spontaneously.

Sttange words were filling up your UI out of control! Suddenly the Megalomass and the distortion were melting into eachother! You felt your body dropping into a abyss of color, and then flying...flying through some strange space that had no rhyme or reason. Your thoughts became jumbled and your body felt like it was being twisted into a unnatural shape. At first you thought that you might be dead, and this was some new twisted way to take you to the morgue... but no. You would suddenly drop out of the sky quite literally into a grassy field. It was a night sky and in the distance was... the war! You had been dropped back to Astorea! Your entire body felt tingly and weird but otherwise you were fine.

What of the Assassination team? Well it was their story now. Whatever had happened, it ended, at least for you.

The entire Tunnel Clearing Team has been ejected from the dimensional pocket and the dungeon entirely. You will have found that you have no additional wounds. However a strange feeling has swept over each one of you.

You can't help but feel something had been done to you. It was impossible to be sure however, so for now you headed quickly to do what you could for the war effort. Hopefully this would go better for you.

    Catching up

When the assassination team caught up to the Princess, they found her against the wall. The impact pattern on the wall behind her back seemed to indicate that she was violently thrown against it. Her armor was tattered and her health was dipping below 20%.

The team would not be wrong to assume that her and the tunnel clearing team were caught up in something bad. When she received help and some healing, the blonde came to and quickly looked around her, clearly in a daze as she babbled incoherently. After she was able to calm down, she began catching the assassination group up on what had transpired.

    D'vangelline de Falder

“We were clearing the sewer tunnels when, I think, we ended up being pulled into a different… world? Dimension? And, and, there was this blob made of chaos energy and even with the team’s best effort, it wasn’t enough… The next thing I knew, they disappeared and I was ejected from that space. I, uh, don’t know what happened.”

D’vangelline looked incredibly upset, which set a stark contrast with her usual calm and majestic mannerism; she was clearly shaken up by the event had transpired. Although some members of the assassination team tried to calm her down, she quickly withdrew herself as she sank her nails into her scalp, appearing as though she was trying to claw the pain out of her head. Not even investigation mode was able to identify what was happening to her.

    Astor

Astor gritted his teeth as he scratched his brows while watching D’vangelline fall apart. He was extremely frustrated; nothing was working in their favor. Aside from not knowing the status of the defense back home, now, the path to his mortal enemy has become muddled and so full of uncertainty that he wasn’t confident they could even reach the King in one piece.

he blond had reached the upper bound of his patience as he watched the princess attempting to pick herself up and recover from wherever hellish mental malady she ended up while she was with the other team. Doing everything to keep his calm, Astor came over to the princess and put his hand on her upper arm, giving it a gentle squeeze.

“Princess, the path is clear now, right? I don’t see the chaos monster you speak of anywhere. Can you keep it together for a while longer? We need you to take us to your father as soon as possible, we don’t have much time before he takes over Astorea. If we fail, I will lose my nation and you will lose the crown that rightfully belong to you. Come on, let’s go, we can’t dawdle anymore.

Hey, help the princess up to her feet, carry her while she guides us. @Ilusa @Amane, figure out how to heal her? We need to get moving, now.”

“Y-you're right, apologies, I did not mean to hold us back. Please support me, I'll guide the group to the High Keep from here. Not many people know, but the sewers directly connect to the High Keep itself, it was constructed in such a way so the royal family will always have an escape route in case the capital and the High Keep is ever taken over by an enemy.

There is a powerful Phantasmic barrier that prevents intruder from entering the secret passage, however. Whoever among you with high skill in magic should take this ring, it will reveal the path up ahead.”

With the group's help D’vangelline, got up and handed over her item over to one of the party members. The ring had a soft lavender glow in the dark sewers.

    Loot

Illusory Crest (Accessory - Ring) Can be used to enter the secret passage in the sewers that lead to the high keep.

  3. DISTANT LAND

img"Forgive me. I thought I had already said this. I'm afraid I must refuse. No matter how kind or enticing of a offer it may be."

Cold. No freezing would be a better way to describe it. It was almost dawn yet the stars still shown brightly above. The forest was quiet, too quiet as two people stood facing eachother under the starlight. One silhouette was somewhat tall while the other was quite short. A cold breeze blew through the small clearing as a gentle rush of the ice cold river flowed downstream. Two armored gauntlets were folded over the taller woman's chest. Her eyes were fierce but calm if that was at all possible. Even if it wasn't she was one who would break such a rule. Those same eyes were looking upon the other figure. A figure that had been following her for some time. Only now did she truly decide to converse with them. Although the knight had made her choice fairly quickly.

Maya had been in this game for so long now... what was it? Two months? Three? No, likely even more. Game was the wrong word at this point. Truly this was her world now. Minerva was her name now, Minerva Alexandria. She had gotten this far alone. Carving her own destiny with er own blade. Slowly building her own reputation for her own ambitions. She was no longer a sickly handicap with no future. Thus when this strange individual gave her a offer she supposedly could not refuse... she had no problem utterly shutting it down.

"A shame. You are not making a smart decision. Would you not reconsider? This is a harsh world you are in.No amount of mortal strength will ever suffice. What I offer is not something you will find elsewhere. Are you certain?"

Exactly why this individual had decided to bother the traveling knight she was the only true thing Minerva was uncertain of. Not only that but this person's claim was rather ridiculous. Game or not, the offer was too good to be true. Also... Minerva was cutting her own path. There was no need for a crutch. She would find or take her own glory not someone elses donations.

"I have no need. You should look for those who cannot succeed on their own. I am my own destiny maker. I have done just fine so far, again thank you. It is a no."

The knight turned away from the figure and began to leave.

"That is unfortunate. Very well. You believe you have such power? Human. You are just like all the others. You are not special. In the eyes of the Origin. You are just flesh. To be moved on the chessboard of fate. You have no purpose any longer. I would have given you purpose. i would have given you a role. Again, how unfortunate. I cannot comprehend it. Those who refuse are often low in IQ. Perhaps I evaluated you incorrectly."

Perhaps then... Minerva thought, continuing to head away from the site. Her hands ready to reach for Durandal if this person decided to do something foolhardy.

"Or. Perhaps you simply require a example. A example of how far from power you are? Of how far from even kings, let alone gods?"

The fact this individual even could tell Minerva had such aspirations was ridiculous enough, but now she stopped walking stealing herself for something. It seemed this person would not just let her leave with a no...

"Yes a example would be good. You do belong with your kind. Hoarded into a cage with them. Perhaps then you will understand what it takes to be separated from the rest. Yes?"

Minerva spun around and drew her sword as she noticed the area around her feet burst into a white light. Damn it what sort of magic was this? Was it...?

And with that thought Minerva was gone from the cold forest. Her head turned very slightly from side to side as her eyes analysed the area. It was... instantaneous! Was this a illusion? It was a some sort of old underground path. Wonderful, it seemed that the offer maker had decided to toss her to this place. Minerva sheathed her sword and hair flipped. Fine... whatever this was. She would prove she had no need for assistance to rise. Certainly not from that person after this display.
