Kyupin squeaked at the arrival of the fierce mercenary leader. Such an intimidating woman. War for the sake of war? She couldn't comprehend it. But danger was danger, and everything in Kyupin screamed that that woman was danger incarnated.

"STAND DOWN!" She cried out, letting loose several arrows to attack the woman. From behind, in an almost pincer attack, Vulcan tried to lock his jaws around her legs to keep her in place. The arrows pierced into the woman's flesh but... But she was still going.

Kyupin shuddered and nocked another arrow. "You know her?" she said in an almost accusing way, her gaze briefly flicking over to @Quinn.

He could not handle those eyes. Despite his inner rage about to surface, his health meter dictating the man was required to shift into all out blood lust, the gentler ends of his demeanor kept themselves stable. How does a person explain war to a child? Studying such events in textbooks was one thing, skimming over the gruesome parts and telling children such things were mere conflicts of the past, but the heat of battle was not a place any young one should be witnessing. This was not a simple game. Adult conflicts meant something in this world, and were not some pre-programmed instances meant to reset after the quest was over. People were dying, getting torn up, even getting limbs removed in the worst cases.

Opening his mouth to speak was not required. @Magi Heart began to show a form of determination, claiming she needed to protect all of them. A grunt escaped the man's throat, closing his eyes and shaking his head. "Oooh no. No no no, that's not," Alonso said, cheeks flushed red at his failure to make this easy, "None of this is something you need to deal with. We... we all got stuck in somethin' nobody should ever have to." A fierce howl ended the conversation. Alonso's gaze drifted towards the source, a crazed woman shouting things about the thrill of the hunt. He was not having that, not with the little girl next to him.

Sighing, the large Felis shifted his body towards Magi, tired eyes slathered in guilt, "Please... don't think of me the wrong way after this."

Bringing his arms together, crossing his chest, Alonso released his position with outstretched arms and body covered in a red aura. His go to roar was louder this time, meant for war and the destruction of his enemies. If the woman commanding the animals wanted a thrill, he was going to give her a fucking thrill. His enraged glare caught the sight of @Zelrius, a snarl emitting from his throat, "We end this NOW!" With that, the bear of a Felis charged forward, slamming his body into various soldiers and animals, tossing them from side to side with nothing but his anger, fists, and all out brawling that would put a street fight to its knees.

Soon came the main target of this whole debacle. Snefrid, engaged in combat with the Marquees's other allies, notable appearance including @Ueno Mizuki. Seemed that Felis woman had the same, enraged look in her eyes and actions. Yes, that was it. Alonso surged forward as well, rearing back a fist to begin pummeling the supposed Alpha of this nonsense, "YOU ENTERED THE WRONG LION'S KINGDOM!"

That voice. She knew that voice.

Magdalyn shivered as the raged beast tamer from her previous adventure reappeared. That glint in her eye was just as dangerous, just as feral, as it had been before. This woman was crazy, and this time, they met in the chaos of war. There would be no running and hiding, no gold-bar innuendos, this go-around.

And Mags knew she was at a disadvantage. She would never be able to fight this woman head-on, the way the others were. The best she could do, instead, was help those who were equipped to handle the mad woman.

She turned to her nearest ally, and after uttering a few words under her breath, applied the only damage buff that she knew. "Good luck," she breathed, before taking a step back. Wolf-men, she could handle. Their leader, it seemed, she could not.

There was a feeling of all sounds being muted, overwhelmed by the rushing of her own blood. There was a red haze that threatened to hinder her vision. Yet at the same time the colours of the world had never been so vivid, never had ever sound been so sharp. Mizuki never had been on an adrenaline rush like this, filled with energy which demanded to be used, and rage which demanded that she didn't stop moving until her target stopped. Even as it controlled her and clouded her mind it sharpened her senses. She would have been frightened of just how strong the sensation was, if her mind hadn't shut out fear and replaced it with bloodlust.

The target in question was this female wolf, who apparently was in command of the wolves that were wreaking havoc on the wall. However for Mizuki she wasn't even sure whether it mattered whether she was in charge or not. The moment she noticed Senfrid's arrival, bloodthirsty and ready to fight, her own instincts had told her to attack without hesitation, to keep attacking and not let up. It could have been territorial, it could have been competitive, all Mizuki knew that she wasn't able to resist the urge.

She could feel more power flow into her, but she didn't register the source. Was it from someone else, enhancing her physical might with magic to increase her odds of beating down the other wolf? Or was it her own rage, flowing in abundance and granting her even more strength, regardless of how that might leave her weakened and unable to move afterwards. Usually Mizuki would have pondered this, but this time she didn't care. She felt herself become stronger, and her immediate response was to increase the ferocity of her assault, iron claws lashing out again and again.

There were others nearby. Some green-haired man wearing a strange attire. A lion roaring as he attacked the same target as Mizuki. It didn't matter. As long as they didn't get between her and her opponent they didn't matter. The wolfmen around were a threat, but they only matter insofar that Mizuki would have to swat them aside or avoid them to get to the target. There was someone she knew, should have remembered, fighting the wolfmen, keeping them away.

It didn't matter. Only the rage and the target mattered.

The twisting in her gut should've been a warning. Snefrid returned, though Comet expected to see the wicked "noble" again sooner or later. It would be sooner. She rolled her eyes and frowned in disgust towards the beastly woman. "She's senile. We wouldn't have been able to avoid her, anyhow." the pink-haired woman replied with a shrug to @Quinn. There clearly had been a plan to go against what the rescue entourage aimed for protecting. @Kyupin Felnya's words turned a frown into a twitching smirk. "Her? Oh yeah. She's a pet of ours that rejected taking a rabies shot," sarcasm laced a heavy-toned voice oozing with the need to plunge any sort of weapon into the mad cat-woman's chest. At least she'd left loot before; a faint reminder being the bow she currently clung to. With a deep breath to hold avoid laughter during a time of such tension that required intense observation of the surroundings, Comet pulled a multitude of arrows to rapid fire at the woman with careful calculation. Snefrid wasn't too much last time but with the rest of the onslaught most definitely could be a potentially deadly challenge. "Try and stick around this time, sweetheart." she sneered.

Enough. Alric had had enough of all the senseless fighting. The leader of the beasts had finally shown her face and to make matters worse the wall didn't seem like it could take many more hits. Was there any point in even trying anymore? Of course. No one else gave up yet so neither would he! Though… Trying to attack the woman head on seemed like a bad idea. Plenty of others already were and as he watched the animalistic players face off with the enemy it was hard to tell who was who in the skirmish. Well whatever, he would just cut down the beasts and soldiers he'd stumble across.

The relentless onslaught continued on as the battle continued to rage all around the defending army. A sword stab here, and slash there, a whirl of his arm to knock an enemy of its feet and then jab downward into its falling body. The golden haired man was no longer keeping up with his more dancing style; opting instead for full blown attack, just as he had done with the Sludge back in the tunnels. This was, in his mind, the only way to possibly end this before things turned south.

So far things were looking good. Zelrius continued on his one current mission, insisting that he simply stand near the Melee that Mizuki was engaged in with the She-wolf and allow none of Snefrid's own allies try to get involved. The golden haired man justified this action by reminding himself that it was probably in their own best interests to fight him, rather than try to step between what was now three enraged Felis, the number being bumped up by a single digit as Alonso got involved.

So, the swordsman ran back and forth and all around. Trying his best to deflect any charging wolfmen from even coming close to the battle around him, though his body was screaming for him to stop, and his meters slowly began to tick down to their last bits; even the health one beginning to look a bit scary to the man. He wasn't thrilled about the events of today, but had to put trust in @Ueno Mizuki and @Alonso Thorlion to finish this while they had the chance.

The player she buffed completely surpassed her expectations. Performing with power that Magdalyn could only dream of, the Felis lashed out at the enemy. It was, in a word, remarkable.

It was also a stark reminder that Mags was not in a position to provide any help damage-wise. Her trash-tier spear and limited knowledge of magic would do nothing but piss Snefrid off, at this point. Besides, the woman knew her from their previous encounter. Better to remain out of the way, lest make herself a more appealing target. Instead, she continued to battle back the soldiers who still pushed at her from all sides.

Comet, on the other hand, pulled no stops. With the flawless precision of a woman on a mission, the rose-haired player loosed arrow after arrow. It was, Mags realized, just as incredible a show as what the crazed Felis provided. I'm surrounded by badasses.

To aid Comet further, Mags muttered another buff, and sent it flying toward the archer. "Hope this helps!"

She didn't know how long the fight had been going on. It felt like hours but at the same time everything was still moving too fast for that to be the case. Not that she was putting any effort into thinking about it. It was just a vague thought in the back of her head while most of her was still focused on one thing and one thing only. Not even so much as a thought as just a fleeting idea, before it was consumed by the same flames which had been consuming everything else that was Mizuki. The bloodlust was everywhere, it was everything. Would she return to normal once her thirst for blood had been quenched? She didn't know. She didn't think about it. Maybe she'd stay like this forever, always feeling the desire to fight, to draw blood, to kill.

If that was the case she might end up turning on her allies, if she didn't die before she got the opportunity. Her normal self would have been bothered by that idea, but right now it barely registered. If she was tired she didn't feel it. If she was on the brink of collapsing she didn't feel it. Fire flowed through her veins, and any wound she received just made them roar harder and hotter. As it was she wasn't going to stop until either she or her target died, and if it was the latter she couldn't be certain if she would even stop. If she didn't lose her rage by then maybe she'd be lucky. Maybe she'd target the enemy army instead. It'd kill her, since no amount of rage allowed one to cheat death. But at least she wouldn't harm those she had called allies before her instincts had taken over.

Her hands felt strange. She couldn't feel her claws. No, they weren't her claws, they were pieces of iron attached to her gloves. She didn't have claws herself, even though she felt like she should. Maybe if she got out of this she'd look into that. She knew that there was a way to get proper claws. At least, she thought she knew.

There was always a voice in the back of your head. A part of you that was always calm, always observing and commenting on your own behaviour. She couldn't hear it. The flames drowned it out.

    Did it matter?

Indra’s eyes widened in response to the sudden return of Snefrid, the mercenary commander that now was the one in charge of the wolf troops attacking the east wall. “Annoyed. Kittywoman doesn’t know when to quit either…” The blonde would have extended her arms sideways to start chanting another spell yet again, but pain overwhelmed her entire body, forcing the aerocaster down to her knees . Lack of energy was a constant reminder that she was a lone mage casting on her own — there were other mages around, but they didn’t have enough sync to cast in unison like the falderen mages.

Quinn’s words reached out to her, the name of the blue haired Felis was mostly what she could make of. “Thoughtful. Snefrid, Snefrid...Snefrid!” her eyes widened in the realization that she had forgotten something important, the berserker fruit. She quickly opened up her inventory and chewed away at the bittersweet and oddly spicy fruit. Goosebumps spread throughout her body and soon her skin felt like it was burning in hellfire. Her thoughts became hazy, and her blood was pumped with rage and adrenaline. She hated all of this. She had disgust of the stench of blood all over her, she hated the pile of corpses, the wolves, the falderens, this war —ugh! She felt an undescribable urge to break it all!

And if all that wasn’t enough, that blue bitch was all bitchy-talky with Quinn!

Thanks to Cain’s healing spell, the blonde could properly move again. Even so, she was still below the berserk threshold, and thus, the effect remained. Focus on her enemy, she wasted no time and casted again, her lips moved ready to chant words of destruction.

“HEED THE AZURE CREED. IT’S THUNDEROUS VOICE, THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, REJOICE!”

She wasn’t even casting one of the spells she memorized, every single word flowed out of her mouth by pure instinct.

    “PURGER ABOVE THE CLOUDS,”
    skill
    Voltaic Chain

Lightning descended from Vajrayana’s orb above the clouds, this time slow, focused, deadly and serpentine in movements that resembled chains. Her magic coiled around Snefrid, generating yet another flash and thunderous impact. "Shiny! Did that hurt, Kittywoman!? THERE IS PLENTY FROM WHERE THAT ONE CAME FROM!" She continued on, arms raised high in the sky as she started to cast yet another spell.

Snefrid's cowardice from the last encounter between her mercenaries and the Green Team left a lasting impression on Comet. A negative one, that is, for the beastly woman fled with the words of a maniac. Perhaps she had a few screws loose in the head, Comet thought while observing the body flying out from sight - an event that occurred not so long ago. Snefrid left her men behind who immediately soiled their pants and became beggars. There was rejoice and free loot all around. Now, only anxiety and teeth gritting to get through endless exhaustion or pain or both. Death or somehow a death of the invaders - the former far more likely than the latter, obviously - would end this suffering and throw the player into the morgue. For Comet, she'd run right back into the fight as soon as possible no matter how tired or ready for logging out as she felt. Too much time and effort had been put into the work that involved playing the role of defense. Plus, a rare opportunity to impress the masses with prowess as an archer wasn't something to pass up in Comet's book. The pink-haired woman slicked back her hair with an unknown stickiness mixed with what limited saliva she had in such a dry, nerve-ridden mouth that could only form words of comback such as those thrown towards Snefrid. Socializing, or anything besides intimidation really, seemed impossible at the moment. When @Magdalyn provided a buff for the faulty archer she swallowed past this dryness to mutter, "Thank you, Mags." before pushing herself to use this aid the best to her ability. The usage of nickname felt odd yet powerful.

Alric had managed to fight his way to where the others were engaged with Snefrid and by the looks of things their group had done well with pushing her forces back. Despite being weaker, as long as they combined their efforts anyone would have a tough time fending off the onslaught being dished out by the players. Perhaps they actually did stand a chance after all.

He would have to play his part too… But getting between the wolf and the Felis would most likely still mean death. No, instead he'd continue to smash and slash the beasts in the surrounding area. With less enemies to focus on the others would be able to fight the wolf woman without fear of being struck from behind.

The significance of the appearance of this woman was lost on Emil. He could easily gauge the reaction of his raid-mates in that this was someone who had a lot of history with a large chunk of them, but without an explanation, Emil could only assume they were still on the offensive. He winced as he got within range of the woman and her wolf, his vision blurry due to pain and blood loss. Perhaps he should have been calling out for help since the arrow first embedded his shoulder, but it wasn’t him in to do something so…needy. He could take care of himself. And so, he fired off a cantrip fireball. He was running on fumes.

Zelrius was steadfast in his attempts to defend the Felis he considered a friend. More determined to protect her from the horde of wolves than he inclined to defend the City. The golden haired man held no allegiance for the city of Dormont and even less for Astorea as a whole, even going so far as to say that he couldnt be here defending if he wasn't still burning with desire to impress D'Vangelline. And now his immeadiate passion was with those he had become acquainted ot even friendly with.

Mizuki was his current priority, defending her, and the fatherly Alonso, whom he had become quite fond of as a person. Keep the threat to them low, and the aptly named Wolf-bitch would die soon

For a moment, Kyupin was legitimately confused by @Comet's sarcastic comments. Humans could receive shots against rabies? Or, well, cat-humans? Was this because they were part cat? In her confusion, Kyupin sat back for a moment to really consider the possible ramifications of Felis folk like herself needing a shot against rabies. Impressively, no harm came her way, though one might contribute that to the snarling Vulcan leaping left and right, ripping at anybody daring to come close to the pondering girl.

How could they even give rabies shots in this game? She hadn't realized medicine had advanced so much. Kyupin's brows furrowed as she fiddled with the tail of her arrow. "I don't get it...?" she mumbled, almost making herself dizzy in her confusion.

Rabies, no rabies, ugh! Kyupin lifted her bow and let loose arrow after arrow. Archery was something she knew, something she could do without overworking her brain.

Maybe when death didn't loom over her, she'd give the rabies thing some deeper thought.
