Going in and out was screwing with his focus, yet, his condition just screamed at his bestial instincts to go ham on whatever decided to come their way. Soldiers and beasts alike were still running at the group trying to fight Little Red Psycho Hood, and needed to be dealt with according to the proper terms of adds in a boss fight. Each time Alonso switched out with someone else who needed to deal damage to Snefrid, even his berserk state was more than willing to oblige, placing his focus on the next target who dared show his or her face. Roaring in the face of a Falderen soldier, he grabbed the poor soul and started bashing him into the ground a few good times over.

With a nice drop kick the Felis reverted his gaze towards Snefrid again. He had a chance to go after her now. She was a woman, yes, but he was not in a position to hold back. The sting of each punch was felt underneath his wrapped hands, the closest thing he will ever get to fighting with as little weaponry as possible. His body enjoyed it. He enjoyed it. @Ueno Mizuki seemed to enjoyed it in some manner. It was like having a father-daughter combo beat down where one kept bouncing the enemy into the other. Yes. Excellent. Get rid of the Alpha and you get rid of the pack. Alonso found himself less willing to speak, yet, actions spokes louder than words in a war zone.

Blake was still stunned on the ground, a tad baffled by all of this. First she almost dies by a group of wolves, then her war pal Mizuki saves her while looking like an actual animal, and then this Wolf chick appears and says that she's the leader of all of them, and Mizuki just goes and starts to try and tear her apart. Then the wolf girl tries to tear her apart back. Then out of fucking nowhere this huge boulder of a man goes to Mizuki's side and starts beating Snafrid too. They all looked like they were being driven by anger or something. On their health tab, she could see a status marker. "Berserk"? Oh. Ohohoho. That was cool. How the hell did she miss that when she first choosed her masteries. Goddamit.

But this was not the time or place to rethink your life choices. Unlike her partners, she remained calm and serene, dashing past @Ueno Mizuki and @Alonso Thorlion, going to Snafrid's back and bombarding her with a flurry of kicks. She was leaving herself open by doing this, but she was doing damage.

    Ah.

    Aha.

    Ahahahaha!

Now the game starts tossing a boss fight at them? After the monotony of smashing violently over and over against this unending tide, NOW the game decides to give them a proper boss fight that they can actually measure themselves against? As the Wolfmother howled, drowning herself in the excess of madness, Cain couldn’t help but laugh. Yeah, fuck that bitch ass ooze that decided it’d rather boot them out of the dimension rather than meet its demise. The adrenaline was pumping now, virtual chemicals intoxicating him and drawing him closer and closer and CLOSER to the brink of vicious madness. Now, more than ever, he wanted to be in the thick of it, smashing and blasting and LIVING! He wanted to live too, wanted to look death in the eye and break that Grim Reaper’s back over his knee, to drown in the ecstasy and rage that had consumed the others as they lunged at the she-wolf, raging like feral beasts.

The Lunatic Princess, was it? Oh, between Indra’s grand magic and the Princess’s all-consuming war cry, he really did have to thank her. For her contributions in turning this war into a battle. For allowing him to set the encroaching army as simply ‘background noise’ and to focus on what really matters. A grand conflict, a dramatic climax. Recklessness and desperation bursting at the seams, grinding each into diamond dust to be scattered over the grave of the defeated.

The moonlight revelry of the Ivory Reminscence turned crimson as red light burst from the intricate carvings within the horn of the beast of purity. It soaked it in, Cain’s frustration and excitement, his yearning and his passion, and converted sevenfold, brimming to the zenith of the mad harmonics that Muse magic claimed dominion over.

Just a vicarious experience? So fucking what?

Obsidian scarlet winds burst from Alonso’s body, the madness of the battle change urging Astorea’s Beast King to the pinnacle of ferocity.

    [THEME]
The fight was on! Snefrid was approached by @Quinn who immediately reverted to his illusory fake out tactics again. This was war, and such antics were going to cost him greatly this time. Snefrid's howl had done more than simply place her into a berserk like state. A extremely cold arctic aura emitted from her body, a form of electrical current seemed to be flowing through her causing sparks of power to come straight from within her.

If one were to use investigation mode on her. They would see that there was a heroic feat called Enraged Berserk in play here. This was no normal berserk. Her eyes were wild and bloodshot yet also focused. Focused on one thing... to kill everyone. Starting with he who was taunting her, Quinn!

Snefrid swung a swing with her entire arm at the other wolf like girl, disgusting wannabe was no member of Lunatic's clan or race! Sending @Ueno Mizuki flying. She howled again. This time howls were returned. Her control of the beasts only enhanced the army's strength!

With Ueno out of the way temporarily, the bestial mercenary charged at Quinn forcing her way past @Alonso Thorlion with pure speed. No words, no unneeded thoughts, no desires... other than to mutilated him...

As the small girl bounced among the ranks like a fairy godmother blessing her kind, she continued to do her good duty in healing and buffing her kind. She'd even gotten hurt here or there by a wolf scratching at her arm or an arrow piercing her side. But no big deal, right? Just yank it out, and move onwards. It wasn't like the little lollipop had realistic set on anyways, and her health was only at 134. This was fine.

She spotted a familiar face know as @Zelrius among the crowd, and ran over to him, putting her back up against her fellow white team member. His health seemed to be low, almost near the bottom, actually, so she needed to help. She narrowed her eyes at the enemies around them who honestly looked a little surprised that she'd just bounded on in like that, but just more to kill for them. Brandishing her trusty frying pan in front of her, she leaned back to whisper at the man, nodding, "Alright, I'm here to heal you, then I continue onwards!~ Oui? White Team power!~"

She then began to dance on the spot as a song escaped her lips, swirling the frying pan around with herself as she nearly avoided hitting Zel while she did so. Unfortunately, instead of healing the man, a buff appeared on his UI instead as a feeling of empowerment filled him, adding more damage to his attack. When she was finished, Blithe seemed to realize what she had done, looking back at the man with a sheepish smile, "Whoops, excusez-moi... Maybe next time?~"

Shit. Like Nemean herself their main adversity was far from enamored by Mister Romeo's display. However, it did its job. Her attention was dead set on the green haired male. The frenzied look in the she wolf's eyes was easy to read; any human qualities that had once flashed in her eyes had been stripped by a bloodthirsty animal eager to hunt down its prey. Muscles tensed as she desperately tried to get to her comrades side but it was foolish to even try.

Nemean watched in horror as he was mauled. It was like watching a train wreck as she found herself incapable of tearing her eyes from the scene. Even the canine soldier that bit at her shoulder wasn't enough to pull her out of her trance. Like a helpless bystander she found herself frozen to her spot.

But she didn't have to be the bystander now, did she? This wasn't real life. Her actions had impact here. If she wanted to stop someone from leaving she could force them to stay; if she wanted to draw this rabid wolves attention away from the male before further harm came to him (his corpse?) than she could force just that.

"Oi!" Nemean hollered as she advanced towards the female, her enhanced motor skills allowing her to weave between sights that made her stomach churn. "Wolf brain, if you were smart like us cats you'd realize he's already dead. Gods. Who taught you to hunt?" she taunted, swaying her black tail back and forth. Using her aeromancy to jump higher than she normally could, she continued, "Y'know, you're a pretty useless predator. I bet you can't even catch a little cat like me considering you wolves need a whole pack to take down one enemy."

Nemean knew she couldn't actually outrun the she wolf. Even if she somehow found clever outmaneuvers.. Well, she wouldn't even have time for that. She had seen how fast the opponent she was currently taunting had lunged forward before. If she could grab her attention long enough for the DPS to do their thing and the other tanks to get into some formation. Nemean was fully prepared to go down in an instant.

Her ears pinned back against her head as she dared to hiss at Snefried, narrowed eyes silently challenging her. It was her turn to hold the line.. even if she didn't have any petals.

It was the initial screech of the angelic creation at Southwatch that had inflicted such inability upon Eleanor. With the echoing pitch resonating within her mind and core, she felt it rattle her bones, spasming harshly withing the the cavities of her heart. Having fallen to her knees, the aubergine radiation that enveloped her had shattered, diminished to nothingness, fading into the air like embers of a violet flame. Blood had dripped from her ears and nose, and even from behind her tightly shut eyelids, the noise vibrated.

With her head hung low, she had stumbled from the battleground, the guilt of cowardice clawing at the back of her mind. Why had she been so driven into fright? Had she no courage? Hopefully her allies would or had been able to defeat it without her... She tortured herself with her own inner monologue for a time, before a sound eventually caught her.

A howl? But part of the sound was... Incorrect. What would produce such a noise? Eleanor swiftly made her way towards Eastwatch, residue of dried blood residing around her nose and ears. Finally arriving at the scene, she smiled and waved weakly towards one of those she recognized, @Alonso Thorlion, but unfortuantely not @Kyupin Felnya (Kyubae Q_Q). "H-hey!"

Before her eyes could rest upon them too long, she trailed where their gazes lead, pointing her pupils towards the... Wolf-like girl? "Ehmm..." Eleanor bit her lip, taking a step back, still a decent enough distance away from the conflict to run without much notice, but... It wasn't worth it. Whatever had occurred at Southwatch that had caused her to flee, she could not allow it to happen again. Here, she had to stand and fight. She had to do something.

Summoning her arcane resonance, the purple hue hung around her once more. Bringing her right hand forward, the three crimson charms spiraled towards her new opponent, a modena trail lighting the way behind them. Her teeth grit and fist clenched. Don't be scared, don't be scared, don't be scared...

One of the downsides of the berserker rage was that it made you pay less attention to whether you were showing any openings, and the fact that pain was no longer frightening meant you weren't going to be as careful with avoiding attacks. The flames burned hot and furious, but they burned with the desire to kill and destroy, not to survive and defend. Of course given the opponent maybe Mizuki just wasn't strong enough to dodge or block the attack even if she had been more cautious.

Regardless of how, Mizuki was launched through the air as her fellow wolf girl launched her through the air. The blow was heavy enough for Mizuki to feel her bones rattle and creak inside of her body before her instincts kicked in and she twisted mid-air, landing on the wall on all fours with her iron claws digging into the stone as the force of the blow sent her skidding for at least a yard before she came to a halt. Mizuki was in a dire state now: more than one bone had been cracked, blood tainted a good portion of her skin and clothes, and she had trouble seeing straight.

However the rage hadn't subsided, so instead of retreating like a sensible person Mizuki immediately charged back in. Even when Snefrid was still focused on savaging Quinn Mizuki was already back to resume her own assault, lashing out and clawing away while her target was distracted. If she had been sound of mind she would have retreated and tried to get healed, try to find a safer method of attack. But being thrown like that had only served to make her thoughts even more jumbled, so here she was growling and snarling as her savagery continued.

Furious or not there was no way to compensate for the state of her body though. The berserker state could numb the pain, turn it into more fury, but the pain was still there, the damage was still being done. Mizuki's body parts weren't functioning as well as before, her attack no longer had the edge it had before. She was still trying, but it was clear that at this point unless they managed to take care of Snefrid quickly or a support was willing to invest the energy Mizuki was more like to get killed clawing away.

As Snefrid broke into a frenzy the situation had become even more dire. Everyone was hurting and one of their tanks had been taken out of the picture from the wolf woman's last attack. All things considered, Alric was still in pretty good health with his bar dipping to just below the halfway mark. With that thought on his mind it was time to put himself to use as a tank.

After Nemean lead the charged, he raised his shield and took a position at her side. “I hope you don't mind me helping out…” Finally, an opportunity to prove himself. He wouldn't let it go to waste.

Indra continued casting her spell, but much to her dismay the electrical force running through her body fizzled out. She tried to cast her previous spell, Voltaic Chain, once more but ultimately failed because of the amount of energy used up. Both of her arms hanged by her sides. “Damn it all. Damn you, bluekittywoman. Damn you and your proposal to that howling bitch, @Quinn, and both Falderen and Astorea be damned for wanting a goddamned war…” She muttered to herself clearly exasperated. “I hate all of you for seeking conflict like it’s a blood sport.” What, what the hell was she saying? No, that wasn’t her. That fruit had started to take control of Indra, and she needed to step up her game.

“Concentrate… Use the rage as source to gather mana particles at a higher rate…” The blonde whispered, and the wild lightning around her seemed to flicker and crackle in an orderly, almost uncanny way along with the wind gusts. She had lost control for a moment there due to the sudden power up — but now she had control of her power back. A quick glance over her status bar would reveal the buff she received from gnawing at the berserker fruit, traits of it now temporarily listed on her masteries.

“So be it. All I have to do is make more wolf toast. Shouldn’t be hard…” Empty eyes scanned the area as Snefrid attacked the party with fierce strength. Her brows furrowed as the fenriswoman clearly managed to land a powerful hit on the green hedgehog. Indra gritted her teeth in response to being unable to cast Voltaic Chains again. Her eyes gazed upwards, her first Vajrayana still shining brightly above the clouds. “One isn’t going to be enough, so I’ll make two. Three… How many are needed. I just need to make sure I won’t fry any little friends, yes.” She clasped her hands,

“Thunderous roar of Rigveda. Barbaric purger bathed in blue. Cleave right from wrong…”
Each of her words of destruction were duplicated, lightning crackling and wind howling on the palm of each of her hands. Meanwhile, the wolf troops advanced, and a few of them managed to get a few hits on her before turning to ash as well. “Not feeling pain is a handy thing…”

  3. One moment, she had been alive. Her arms burned with each arrow let loose, fingers screaming at her to stop pulling the string. But each time her eyes swept over the chaotic battlefield, taking in corpses of allies and foe alike, she'd feel the energy boiling inside of her. It would demand that she fight. And so she had.

She'd fought until the claws ripped straight through her guts. "GAH!" And even as she laid there dying on those humanoid claws, she'd whacked at her attacker with her bow. "I won't... let you... hurt them..." Pathetic.

... she thought she would cry. She'd been terrified of the idea of facing death, always queasy in the stomach and light-headed when it came up. But all she felt now? A restlessness in her bones. Fight harder, fight better, her body screamed. So many people to keep safe. She still wasn't strong enough! And then everything went dark.

    ...

When she woke again, it was not to the face of a kindly god or the calm of a temple like she thought. "Wha—?" It was in the midst of the battle with Vulcan leaning over her face, licking her cheek and spreading blood all over her face, and a kindly woman muttering over her. Kyupin pointedly ignored the corpse of her attacker, torn savagely apart by a beast's jaws, laying at her feet as she pet Vulcan's head.

She wanted to pause and take it all in, but there was no time. Groaning, Kyupin forced herself to her feet and loosed arrow after arrow. Even now, exhausted and wondering what they were even fighting for, Kyupin fought. Something about realizing that even in death she would not feel rest... it broke her. To know that no matter what, she would feel that crushing regret on her shoulders. The only way out, the only way she knew how to beat it, would be to become strong enough to carry that burden with ease.

And there's one way to get strong: beat the stronger.

And she had thought things chaotic before.

As Snefrid entered "beast mode" and began to tear through soldiers and players alike, Magdalyn took three hurried steps back. It was entirely subconscious, as if her mind and body alike agreed that it was time to get out of dodge. Nope nope nope, a little voice chanted chanted. She had to get out. She had to get out. Players were dying now.

No, not dying. This was a game, and they were still alive. Even though tears pricked at the back of her wide, terrified eyes, her logical side reminded her that everything would be okay. She would be okay. But the NPCs still depended on her, and she had to remain clear-headed to help them. They would not be okay, unless she did more to help them.

When she whirled, looking for someone to heal, or someone to buff, she spotted the blonde Felis. Memory crashed into her as she recognized the girl for her shouted warning. She did not know her name, but she had covered Mags and Comet when they were being overwhelmed. It was time to return the favor.

There were no "sorry" or "excuse me" as Magdalyn elbowed her way to her downed comrade. While she dropped to her knees, she tried to recall the rough resurrection spell she had memorized "just in case." She was weak herself, but she prayed to whatever digital gods watched over them as she muttered the words.

Honestly? Eileen was kind of surprised how much she loved the chaos. But once she realized and embraced that, it made it obvious that she would have to come over to the East to lend a hand in the bullshit that is war. And boy, oh boy, she was glad she did!

With a squeal of delight, Eileen leaped forward. It was the stupid brute from the mountaintop! The one she'd yet to reenact revenge upon! Her hips twitched one way, then the next, and song tumbled from her lips:

"Once upon a time," she sang,
    "I saw a crazy witch,"
"She had some wolven ears," she twirled,
    "and acted like a bitch!"
"But no one has to worry no,"
    she clapped,
"we'll end the fight oh so quick,"
"And when it's done I'll grace the corpse,"
    she skipped over an arrow,
"a good ol' round of spit!"
Alas, Eileen wasn't yet dumb enough to face off the brute solo, so her eyes quickly sussed out the available adventurers. Indra, who seemed to be just a little bit eager, caught her eye. "In return for earlier!" she chirped, blowing a kiss and a wink thataway whilst ducking under a spear jabbing in her direction. A kick and a spin later, Eileen was within reach of Indra to offer her a beautiful, inspirational song.

Blake really thought she had this. She really did. But when Mr. Wolf Girl entered full berserk mode and bulldozed through Alonso and smacked Mizuki a few yards, she knew she was next. And next she was, but not by the Wolf Girl, but from her wolves instead. Goddamit, she completely forgot about them. One got a good bite on her leg, and the other on her arm. She quickly managed to free her arm due to her thorny bracer doing what it does best, and that is giving those wolves a teethache. After the wolf retreated from the cuts in his mouth, Blake quickly used her free leg to swat him out of the wall. Now with only one on her way, she started punching it on its head until it either let go or died. It didn't let go.

After a good minute of punching it, she finally managed to crack it skull and put the beast to rest for good. Her knuckles were dripping with blood, but as soon as she cleaned the beast's blood from there, she realized that there was still more blood. Blood coming out of them. Of course, it was bound to happen. She had been punching bare-fisted into hardened wolf skin and metal armor, it was a miracle she didn't break anything else. She grabbed her knuckles and winced, the pain being less sufferable due to the adrenaline running through her body, but it was still there. She was at the verge of breaking, both mind and body alike. Her leg was gushing blood all around too.

But then, she felt something boost her strength. A otherwordly force she had never felt before. It was similar to Vina's healing, but different in some way. Well, there was no healing there, she could say that, but she felt something else. A surge of strength ran through her body. It filled her weakened energies into full working condition again. She then noticed that @Cain Darlite had throw some sort of spell at her. She didn't even know the guy, so she just gave him a bright smile before charging bloody-fist first at Snefrid's ugly face!
