Wow it was pretty dark. Really super dark actually. Wendy remembered a similar feeling and she felt her chest tighten and a deep panic starting to rise up. Was she dying? Dead already? Again? Nuuuuuu.... Not again! Magi Heart was scared, she thought she would not be anymore but she was! Why did it feel so real in this game. It was just a game Magi, it was just a mean old game that had no love or justice! No.... it just needed more of those things. Like her friends said. It was... difficult. Nothing like her shows or make believe heroes. Real life was tough and this game was just like that. Sigh.... Wendy in all of her confusion and fear noticed she had not respawned yet, nor had she seen the morgue lady from last time. What was going on then? She tried to log out. She did not know how though! Gee whiz, panic mode!
Wendy tried to calm down. Why was she such a wimp about this stuff? It was not real! There must be something wrong with the dive equipment thingy. Again she struggled to no avail. Maybe she just had to wait until it fixed itself... that was really all she could do... this was... really, really, really scary!
"Wendy."
Wait what? What was going on? Was that her mother? She strained to listen. Oh no, did her mom find out she had the game? Oooooh.... A small light in the distance appeared. Finally! Was she waking up? Yay! The light grew like a bright star. Growing brighter and brighter. Until it was blaring in her eyes. She still could not move and her eyes could not close. Wendy stared at the blaring light bedazzled. This must be how that boar and the creepy robed guy felt before.
"Wendy, Magi Heart... you are a child. A pure hearted child that must understand that there is more.... more to everything then you realize. Things are not flat but vast. Vast in many ways."
Wendy suddenly started to become excited. Was this one of those super cool beans moments where the heroine gets her awesome ultimate move? Or a upgrade? These were so awesome! Magi Heart would stop sucking with that kind of power. Oh wait, thinking like that was bad, especially here with this neato light being talking to her! Wendy listiened more... The light burst even brighter and a image was burned into her eyes and mind.
"Magi Heart. You should not fear that which you do not understand. You must come to know that there is good in all things, and bad as well. Your concept of right and wrong is immature. Child, you are a rare blessing in a otherwise corrupted land. Sadly I cannot help you reach your current dreams. Dreams are-..... They are-..... Your.... What is...."
Wendy stopped being excited and the words were less clear as she began to get lost in her own thoughts. This was not the speech she was expecting. Was she being told to... give up on her dreams? The talk about good in everything was great but... Wendy focused on the the word 'can't' and it bothered her. She wanted to speak back, to ask what this super pretty angel person meant and how she could become a legendary magical girl to save everyone from strife and bad things... it was weird. She was not Magi here but actually Wendy. Or maybe both...
"Wendy An Quinn... I know you are falling deep into despair and unrest at the state of yourself and the reality around you. I am afraid it will get worse, much worse before it gets better. I am Elia, one of the Great Spirits of Light. Let me show you something. You may never be able to go back from this knowledge. Keep it within your subconscious and bear this burden for me... sweet child. Pure child that is being filled with with the sobering and often corrupting realities of adulthood. These realities are not the full truth either."
The being reached out and gently touch the young girl's hands with her own. A look of sadness became a sincere smile of pure honesty and gentleness as the warm light became even brighter. Soon Wendy could not feel or see anything, her head was burning. She immediately felt a overflow of thought and then.... nothing. Total darkness.
"Farewell one who named themselves Magi Heart. The darkest comes before the dawn. Hopefully you will remember that when the time comes..."
And with that there was no longer a voice either. Just darkness.
