As the chaos died down and her song soothed the child, she held him close to keep his tears at bay. Thinking of a song that would set his mind at ease, the only songs that came to her were depressing ones- but ones that would fit his situation, and with a tempo that might still sooth.
The melody was dark in tone, slowly making the sniffling boy cling tighter to her small frame. As she continued on, however, she found him starting to smile lightly. The chorus, as it so happened, had a nice message in her mind- and he seemed to catch it as well.
"The sun is in your eyes.
The sun is in your ears.
I hope you see the sun,
Someday in the darkness...~"
"Your singing is really nice, lady..." He mused, nuzzling his head into her shoulder, that managed to be at just the right level to do so. She thanked him, leading him soon enough to his wrecked home but happily safe parents, who grabbed a hold of him and squeezed him until their tears were soaking the crown of his head.
"Thank you," She heard the mother murmur. The father did the same.
With a gentle smile and tears in her own eyes, Harveste could only grin. "I'm just glad to bring him home safe. Family is special, you know?"
