_____The great part about having Astramancy, Kaede could heat up water and make it form a magic version of a shower, and a lot of other things like a massage to help ease her shoulders from getting so angry down in the sewers. Hands resting on her towel as she secured it around her body and reached to start drying her hair. Her trip back to the city was enough for Kaede to realize something about herself that was far overdue. She was not acting as someone else, the past was all her and refusing that was what split her in two.

_____She was running so much in her life it took failing to run a simple circle to notice that she already was doing that with her own life. Waving her hands to get her UI and return a new set of clothing over her skin just in the nick of time as the front room of her door was busted inward and sent flying a few feet. Standing at the doorway was a number of males grinning and whistling as Kaede calmly dried her hair and blinked at them.

”Well look at that boys we picked a good room.~”

_____Kaede scanned those who walked into her room before setting on one of them and recalling them very clearly. A male who should be in a prison cell or hung for raping a girl Kaede was sleeping with in the past. Moving to silently chant as she looked out the window hearing their approach all too clearly. When one was just about to touch her, the entire room was covered in one strung gust of wind blasting the wall away and throwing every male across the street to the opposite side each knocked out.

”If only it was girls who broke in…” Kaede, was back.

It took some time for Vina to reach her destination, because of the city as a whole being a lot more busy and bustling than it would otherwise have been. Add in the fact that the white-haired Felis wasn't actually too familiar with the place and she had to gently and carefully weave her way through the crowds while searching for the correct roads, doing her best on the way to help people remain calm and helping out the occasional citizen who looked like they needed a bit more help than the soldiers were capable of providing. An old man who'd fallen down and who was in danger of breaking something if someone didn't help him get to a safer spot, a young lad who needed help finding his belongings... Vina didn't let herself get delayed too much, because those leeches were a serious issue, but she did try her best to help everyone who she thought she could help with her limited skill and involvement.

Once she did get to the keep she still had to gain access to the tunnels, which were also crowded because it was one of the safer places in the city right now... or it was supposed to be. The leeches were an unexpected factor, and an unwelcome one. Since she wasn't a refugee Vina at first had some trouble getting much further, the guards wanting to prioritize the citizens, but it seemed like not even a war could keep someone's hormones from affecting their decision making. It took her a bit of effort to isolate a guard, but a bit of purring and flirting was enough to get him to let her pass, especially when she made it clear that she had heard there was an issue with leeches and she was going down there to help out.

Once inside the tunnels Vina got to work. Before she'd get to where the leeches came from she'd first use her nature magic in combination with her beast taming skills to get rid of the leeches which had already found a victim, then heal all the afflicted to ensure they wouldn't get an infection or some form of illness or disease. Leeches weren't immediately dangerous, but it was better to get treated quickly afterwards, and Vina could bother with finding the leeches themselves once there were no children in danger any longer.

She'd been nearing the tavern when an explosion occurred, leaving many in the building to scatter. Startled, she saw a boy that matched the description of the one she sought out and rushed after him- but was easily blocked, as usual, by the great deal of people in the streets.

"Wait a se- hey!" She tried to sing, but her voice was currently being drowned out by the panic. "I guess if I can chase him somewhere out of the crowd, I can calm him down better... Or at least get away from the panic. Is that even possible, though...?"

Sighing, she started her jog- weaving through people with acrobatics, but not as quickly as she'd like. "Damn, my flexibility won't help me catch up- he's too fast! C'mon, run, Harveste- run like the wind under your feet!"

_____Kaede was not exactly fully focused on finding the other escaped prisoners as she was lost in her own little train of thought. With everything that happen in the sewer and the less it showed her, least how she saw it was having an impact on her. Her other persona was no longer keeping memories hidden and flooding Kaede with the lost time and filling the gaps she had fully. She was who she acted as before, albeit not fully as open about some things but it was still her and trying to stop that was not right, she had to accept it and live the life she set herself on without regrets or backing down.
by the tip and drop it so she could refocus her hair. The group rushing towards the girl, no females yet sadly.
_____Frame sliding backwards as she watched a sword slash downward where she once stood, a prisoner trying to take her life, not uncommon and far from exciting as it was yet another male. Hands rubbing the towel in her hair as she leaned to the left dodging another one of his strikes before ducking to avoid his attempted follow up. Right leg jabbing downward at his foot to alter his balance before sweeping the same leg to send him to the ground. Walking back him slowly before slamming her boot to his throat to leave him gasping for air and leave her walking away as she moved to start drying her bangs next.

”I’m going to have to talk with Harveste and let her now my choice… And what it will likely mean for the two of us… Even if she does not like the result… I can’t exactly stop who I am… even if I truly love her…”

_____Kaede would slowly stop talking as she walked into a small circular walkway with a fountain in the center, all around seemed to be escaped prisoners who turned to hear her words. Lightly sighing as she tipped her head left and focused the back strands of her hair calmly reaching one hand from her focus to catch a thrown dagger

This wasn’t what Beatrice had in mind.

Its only been nearly a month for her in the game and the idea of peace slowly sank into her mind, only to experience post war preparations between two nations, the newly founded Kingdom of Astorea vs. the Large Nation of Falderen. Beatrice wasn’t exactly sure of the details between these disputes but something about this entire thing didn’t make sense to her.

But its not as if she can assume, right now her mind is focused on what she can do to help the people of Astorea before the war begins.

Lady B was called by the medical unit to investigate the sudden spawn of blood leeches, the spawn of Blood worms, beneath the keep. There was reason to believe that something spurred these scavengers to emerge from the underground and surface to attach themselves to nearby living hosts. Even the animals were affected. There were also reports of some people coming into the tunnels beneath the Keep to investigate but some of them haven’t comeback yet.

Right, perhaps there is something she can do to help.

Everyone was in a panic, there were people crying and whimpering down in corners unsure of where to go once the war begins. The day was getting darker and the chaos down the streets didn’t help the situation, introducing to a reality she had never met before. Accompanied by a few paramedics, Beatrice and the others headed down to the tunnels, squeezing through the crowd and eventually managed to make it to the tunnel entrance. She had a staff ID which allowed the guards to let her pass but discovered the Felis @Vina Skysong had already gone ahead with the chore.

“A-ah hello there! I hope we’re not to late! Anymore patients down here?” she asked the felis as she began to wear her standard equipment.

“Repel the Bloodworms with the alchemist’s solution, evacuate all the miners and the people affected here!” One of the aids dropped a medical box and began handing out bottles of spray that contained the said solution to repel these feeders.

She then bowed her head to Vina to thank her for her efforts.

“Thank you so much! I hope you’d continue to help us in these times of turmoil.”

OOC: Beatrice was part of the Astorea's Medical Unit and has been called to investigate the Leech problem, she was instructed to heal and extract leeches from victims if there's any and use a certain solution to suppress them from ever coming up to the surface. She meets Vina who already had gone ahead with the quest in hand.

img”Excuse me… Do you need a hand with all that…?”

The timid voice chimed up from the girl as she swayed her frame slowly overlooking the projects the other girl was currently trying to handle. Countless pieces of robes torn up or in desperate need of a patch work. Unable to help those on the front lines Nyx was left trying to find where she could make the most impact and, well that was how she ended up here offering a hand out to take a spare sewing kit from the girl and sitting down beside her with a gentle smile.

Working slowly her hands traced the location she would start working with, the ends of the fabric on the robe had come undone leaving it rather poor finish. Getting her thread ready before calmly humming and started to work on fixing the error. Her eyes set closely on the fabrics, not trying to rush but not exactly able to move quickly without fear of pricking her own fingers, sadly still managing such but not allowing it to stop her from trying to help ease the work and make sure others would have something to even slightly protect them that still looked fashionable.

She weaved her heart, some tears from hurting her fingers, and a bit of blood from her fingers into the fabrics before she lifted it up to give it to the person who could run it to someone who was gearing for combat. Reaching backwards to pick out the next piece to work on and trying her hardest to slow down more so she did not go dying from pricking her finger with a needle on her second day in the game.

”I hope they stay safe out there… Would be a shame if people died for being reckless… Defending your home is one thing, but needlessly over pushing yourself to do such is not as worth it… Don’t you think miss?” Nyx tried to stir a conversation but only got a slow nod from the other girl before both returned to their work in silence, Nyx slightly puffing her cheeks for getting such a cold shoulder.

imgNo longer trying to be friendly Nyx would move herself slightly away from the girl and devote her focus to working on the fabrics in her hands. Each careful movement of her hands paying off this time as her fingers remained with the fewest pricks on her finger tips when handing the next item to the runner and freeing her to get another one to work on. She had to say, she was honestly surprised there was so many light armor pieces in such poor condition, she almost wanted to give whoever was in charge a nice long lecture to take care of all troops not just a select few.

One moment later however she recalled not exactly checking the other areas for how badly those gears had been before making such a comment she felt slightly bad to have considered lecturing someone when her facts had not been in order. The drifting focus replied to in rudeness as needle sank into her finger causing her to yelp lightly and move the injured digit to her mouth to suck on the blood and whimpered slightly. Even with something so simple she was failing rather hard, maybe this was not the life she could live.

Slapping her head for the thought and narrowly avoid the needle into the side of her ear Nyx sighed lightly. She needed to get a back bone, she needed to remember she was not Luna, the actress shut in, but Nyx a Amazonian warrior, albeit not exactly looking the part as much as she did in real life but still! Moving to resume her work with a stride she was not going to just allow some tattered cloths stop her from slowly rising up to make a name for herself in the game.

”You can do this Nyx! Needle down, pull the thread, needle up, pull the thread and repeat! Nothing hard about this or anything once you set your mind to it!” Her voice started to chime up as she mumbled the same steps each time to help her focus on the fabric work she was doing.

Ventus hasn't been playing very long yet and already there was a war going on. Not one to ignore the plea of others, virtual or no - the magus prepared himself to help the stream of NPCs crowding into the Keep's Shelter. Putting on a kind smile the blond magic user crouched down to a pair of sobbing kids level. "Hm? Someone's fussy! Don't worry, I got just the thing!"

Holding his hand out as a fist he opened it suddenly releasing, a small burst of soft floating lights and sparkles to distract the pair of tired toddlers. The waterworks soon stopped as the two children sniffled before giggling at the pretty light show.

Patting each on the head he guided the small family towards their temporary home. "I put a light sleeping spell on them, it'll help them sleep throughout the night." He spoke softly the the frazzled and tired couple, knowing how hard it was to take care of scared children.

"Bless you, Sir Mage!" The mother praised him as the father guided his family to their room.

Letting out an amused sigh he went off to help more people in need.

Though she'd been told that there was an emergency camp to let her rest away her wounds, there were far more interesting things to do than sit around in a triage bed like one of 'her' patients. Grinning slyly, she made her way back into the capital to see what chaos was ensuing, and much to her surprise, there was a nice big prison break in progress, with prisoners by the dozen scouring the streets.

    "Now THIS should be fun..."

Purring at the thought of some more action, she pulled out her lance and poked strangers that looked dangerous with her long stick, happy to find them chase her soon after. She was enjoying the chase too much to care that her energy and health were still fairly low.

"I'm alive, aren't I~?" The best fact there was, in her opinion. "And now I just feel more so... Keep up, fellas! Can't catch me that easily, can nya~?" With a giggle, she lead the prisoners through the streets with a maddened gleam.

Feeling as though she was going to lose her mind, she finally caught up with the child in another dark alley (which begged the question, why did she keep ending up in those!?). Singing a calming song, she rubbed his head and held him close when he cried. "It's okay, little guy, I understand how scared you are... There's nothing shameful about fear."

Of course, she knew she was being hypocritical. She was always embarrassed by her anxiety, even if she knew it wasn't that strange to fear things. When asked her fears, she would happily ramble some off to the little boy whose tears caught her attention. "I fear a lot of things. Fire, loud sounds, losing those near me... And seeing others in so much pain. No one deserves the pain you feel right now. That's why big sis here will do anything she can to make it better... So just stay with me for now, okay? We'll find your mother and your smile as a team."

imgHer skill was slightly getting better was all she could try to see this as, learning how not to prick her fingers as much and how to speed up without messing up to badly, she was far from making her own outfits that was for sure but she was learning and doing everything she could to try and show she was not being counter productive. Turning to see the other girl zipping through outfit patch jobs almost four times Nyx’s speed made her jealous, but that also made her competitive as she focused back on her work and tried to one up the other girl.

Nimble hands moving from her finished work to quickly snag her next project and get to work, it was simple and something even she knew how to do with her eyes closed, not like she would be still moving her needle and getting to work as fast as she could feeling herself challenged by the other girl even if it was not something to be fighting over. Setting the fabric down to get the next as she fell into the rhythm of things some more and started to see why the girl was staying quiet.

Even with the war outside, the heavy steps of people rushing outside and around them, it was almost able to zone it all out and just focus on the sound of needle passing fabric and going back to mend the cloth. She could almost feel, and see the history of the fabric as she let her mind wonder while the only anchor was simply working on her job. Cuts showing her images of those getting slashed or cut down, burns to be patched over from suffering magic attacks or backfires.

It was not long however that she felt a sharp pain in her finger and looked down to see her needle sticking out of her finger and almost breaking out into tears as she tried to carefully pull it out. She knew one thing, realistic pain was not some joke and by god it almost felt worse than real life.

  5. As the chaos died down and her song soothed the child, she held him close to keep his tears at bay. Thinking of a song that would set his mind at ease, the only songs that came to her were depressing ones- but ones that would fit his situation, and with a tempo that might still sooth.

The melody was dark in tone, slowly making the sniffling boy cling tighter to her small frame. As she continued on, however, she found him starting to smile lightly. The chorus, as it so happened, had a nice message in her mind- and he seemed to catch it as well.

"The sun is in your eyes.
The sun is in your ears.
I hope you see the sun,
    Someday in the darkness...~"

"Your singing is really nice, lady..." He mused, nuzzling his head into her shoulder, that managed to be at just the right level to do so. She thanked him, leading him soon enough to his wrecked home but happily safe parents, who grabbed a hold of him and squeezed him until their tears were soaking the crown of his head.

"Thank you," She heard the mother murmur. The father did the same.

With a gentle smile and tears in her own eyes, Harveste could only grin. "I'm just glad to bring him home safe. Family is special, you know?"

  6. Having managed to taunt the prisoners as the chaos in town was dying down, the feline tormentor became bored from the sudden quiet that took over the city. War should be more entertaining than this... It's too quiet... Ugh... Letting out a yawn, she swung her tail from side to side, watching the group of inmates that had chased her down.

Using feline finesse, she lead them to a dark alley, one that cloaked her already dark fur coat. Using the illusion of the darkness to keep them there, she managed to get those more equipped to handle with prisoners of war, and wandered off while they cursed about the cat that misled them.

The prison break was over, the quiet had come to pass, and once again, Briar was truly bored.

  7. Vina was busy healing some of the ones who had already come into contact with the leeches when other healers arrived, most likely using somewhat more legal methods than Vina's own. Not that she had committed a crime, per se, but she was pretty sure that guards weren't supposed to let you in because you flirted a bit with them. Well, the other healers didn't seem to mind her being here, so the white-haired Felis wasn't going to draw their attention to it. Whether she thought she also had legal entry or didn't care, Vina's own objective was to help those in need, so she didn't think there was reason for them to throw her out. She smiled at Beatrice and the healers she brought with her, her tail briefly wagging behind her in greeting. "Hello. I'm glad you're here to help, because the sooner we're done with this the better." She frowned slightly as she said that. "There's already enough trouble above ground without leeches adding to them underground."

She then hummed in thought. "There's still plenty of patients, since a lot of people came down here because they didn't feel safe above ground. That said I haven't found the source of the leeches yet, so I hope you can help with that." As she spoke she was already moving to another patient, smiling a bit more brightly at Beatrice's words of gratitude. "Don't worry about it, we're all doing our best to help aren't we? Let's just try to make sure we've gotten rid of the leeches and cured anyone who might have contracted a disease from them, all right?" Leeches weren't actually that dangerous, the issue was that since they directly drained the blood from your veins they could spread diseases like crazy if not dealt with in time.

With Beatrice and the other medics there to help Vina took note that they were quickly getting rid of the leeches. It looked like whatever had caused them to appear was a temporary issue, so as long as they got rid of the current ones no new ones would appear. Stretching she smiled at Beatrice. "I think I'll go back above to see if there's any more help needed there. You guys have everything under control down here, right?" Waving at them all Vina went back above ground, glad they managed to resolve the issue quickly.
