Sehnsucht

This is my first November in America. I had forgotten about this holiday until I went to restock on Quester bars and filtered water at the store. There were frozen turkeys piled all over the meat section and pictures of turkeys hanging off everything.

I was just going to ignore it and maybe go look at pheasants in a certain MMO I play; but now I am homesick for Mom's cooking. Flights are too expensive to go home and I don't want to spend that much time away from my rig, but maybe a day out would be good for me. I think I am beginning to forget how to talk to people in meatspace. The check out girl looked at me like I was an alien. I'm Maine-based but the hyperloop isn't too expensive. Though showing up at a stranger's house you met online for a meal seems... unwise. I'm not sure.
