Monster Hunter World

Demo coming in december right? I'm really looking forward to it. I played the one on the Wii U and fell in love right away

 

I'm waiting for the PC one but the date is still unannounced though :(
I do still hope for the day we can do cross-platform hunting.

 

I'd really like to get into Monster Hunter, I have been following the series for quite some time now and bought all new releases, too, but never managed to pump more than maybe 5 hours into it QQ. Maybe it's more fun playing with others?

Cross Platform Hunting might be a thing between PC and PS4 and PC and XB1 like rocket league is. (Note XB1 and PS4 can still not play together on that, last I heard)

The PC version was put on hold until after the game releases so they can give it proper time and attention. I hope that means it wont be a bad port.

I am more stoked than I can explain with words for Monster Hunter World. January 26th can't come fast enough. I ordered the Collectors edition for PS4 but I plan to buy it again for PC so I can play with my friends I usually hunt with.

A demo will be available but last I heard it will only be available for people with PS+
I don't have PS+ but was thinking about using the free trial to check it out; but will probably wait and just play the game when it comes out.

 

Monster Hunter has been my thing since the original came out for the PS2, unfortunately, the last one I played was Trio for the Wii and it was a tad too easy for my taste honestly.

I am siked for Monster Hunter World, I've been tempted to buy a PS4 just for it depending on the reviews it gets and If they pull the plug on the PC port which I wouldn't be surprised honestly since Monster Hunter falls under the same category of Gundam which has the same issue's as Monster Hunter.

In the meantime we should all play Monster hunter Online with a homebrew English patch lol

 

@Vais I started with MH3U on the 3DS. I liked it, I liked the swimming. I don't know what everyone's problem is with it. That said I think 4U is the best of the 3DS games. I tried to play portable 3rd on an emulator. The emulator was good, has a strong community, but I hated it.
Gen was pretty weak, because a lot of the things I like (cut-scenes and a story) were missing. I am really excited to see how the changes feel in world. Also I am looking forward to going back to my one true love, the switchaxe.

I have to imagine they wont pull the plug on the PC version since they advertised it so heavily and soooooo many people are waiting for it.

 

@Trouble Pooka I started on the orginal as a Kid but I sucked at it, it wasn't until my old man bought me a PSP where I really got into it with Monster Hunter Freedom. I played the crap out of it until I punched the monitor lol Didn't touch monster hunter again Trio came out, I really don't see the isssue why people hated the underwater area's, sure you could die easily but If you were careful and you knew what you were doing, you were fine. I don't remember having issue fighting underwater for the most part besides getting stunned ;P

I'm sure @Pandora could probably figure out, my favourite weapon without a doubt is the long sword since you get the damage of a great sword but it is faster and the momentum special attack is too good.

I haven't played most of the versions for the PSP since I broke mine lol and I never owned a 3DS, just a 2006 DS version lol

I don't know honestly, Japan weird like that, I remember when Japan had put a shit ton of money into advertising for Mobile Suit Gundam:Moble Ops The One Year war for the 360 yet it never got released. It's not it wouldn't have sold over here, it was literally battlefield 3 with mechs, what's there not to like?

If I make space, I def need to install monster hunter online, gotta stop being lazy lol​
