Roland rolled to the side taking a second to briefly take out the variety of branches stuck in his armor. The blow from the spider had hurt, but he almost immediately felt the healing grace of the unknown bard playing music from far away (healed 10 HP). “I’m likely going to have to find her and thank her after this is all over.” Roland thought as he scanned the forest for the profanity laced girl from before. He caught sight of her standing up slowly, covered in a blue aura of healing, “Good it seems more supports have arrived. I just hope she doesn’t keep dragging this thing’s attention this way.”

Feeling like he was wasting time, Roland, pushed himself forward again going on the attack. His last attack had failed miserably but he could chalk that up to being in a difficult situation. Still he needed to land a clean blow but the debris flying from the creature made the path an ever present obstacle course. “I’d move to the front of the beast, but I’m sure the path is just as hazardous, I wish this thing would just stop moving, then again that’d likely mean it would attack more, not sure if I’d want that.”

Once more Roland had to run to the side of the boss while waiting to find an accessible route upwards that he could take. Unlike the previous two times he wasn’t lucky enough to find one quickly. Becoming frustrated, he opted to sprint forward and drop into a slide pushing himself underneath the boss’s thorax, whipping his blade upwards as he did so. Naturally the spider stormed off before his blade could even get near it, dealing no damage. “Damn..”

Action: Attacked the queen, but missed.

Alpha groaned as yet another attack failed to even phase the gigantic beast. Annoyed, she didn't even try to move as she got her dagger and poked at the Spider Queen's leg a dozen times over, each time getting more disgruntled as she quickly stabbed the beast over and over again to no avail. The creature seemed to bring out Alpha's violent side as no attack she did made a difference (except that once). She groaned. "Are you doing any better, Terry?" she asked, exhausted and sighing.

The wolf was currently nibbling on the rampaging Spider Queen's leg, gnawing at it with his teeth and failing to even scratch the cold layer of protective skin. "Are you kidding me?!" Alpha screamed to the world and whatever gods that had forced her here. Feeling a migraine come up, she sat down next to the spider leg, putting her head in her hands. "Let's take a break, Terry," she offered and the dingo hastily nodded and plopped down right next to her as the battle went on.

A huge spider queen parting the trees and ripping through the forest toward a quaint little city. This wasn’t entirely up to his speed, considering how underprepared his character was for such a big event. But hey, there was an emergency alert, asking for all warm bodies to come take the boss down before she reaches the town. He couldn’t exactly turn it down… knowing that there may be loot, even for someone like him, maybe a brand new great sword so we can actually aim for more than just bark.

Once he arrived on the scene, he decided that sharing the same side as other tank would be a bad idea so he moved in close from the east. When he saw a spider leg, he took his chance. Like that, Rudiford unsheathed his crap sword and charged in after he shouted a damage buff, swinging his sword horizontally against what was supposed to be a spider leg. He hit, yes, but his sword somehow ended up lodged in a tree. Maybe he needs to stop by an optometrist and get prescription for glasses since he thought that tree bark looked exactly like spider legs. Either way, he uses a taunt skill.

Magi Heart felt herself starting to panic. It was like it was invincible! The horrible bug lady was marching right along, crushing everything it's path. Wendy was going to have nightmares probably. She watched as attacks bounced off and trees were being caught on fire by poorly aimed attacks. Magi Heart had to focus... maybe it really was up to her? This was just a game after all. So why was it made impossible to beat? They should be able to win and go on with the story. Magi Heart aimed her bow at the things head. She didn't want to, but she had no choice but to attack it!

Hey! Help me top her off before she takes another one of those hits!
    @Magi Heart @Sera Phim

Huh? The message seemed to be directed at her. Lowering her bow she began to become lost again. Heal or fight? Magi Heart was not in this game long enough! How was she supposed to do this? Ooooh... Magi Heart focused her energy again. This time on the cat girl she saw close to her location. Oh nice ears! Anyway now wasn't the time for that.... sadly. Magi Heart once again cast her buffing magical girl art on Dempsey!

Aaron swung his sword again, striking the creature's leg. However, he must have hit the spider right on a particularly hard spot, because not only did his attack do nothing, but his sword was wrenched from his hand and sent flying a few feet away. "Gods, damn it!" He cursed, running after his sword. He dived to retrieve it, and rolled back onto his feet, raising his sword and shield high to protect himself.

"Alright, you eight legged abomination," Aaron spat. "So far, it seems like I can't hurt you. But you're not exactly doing all that much to me either. You wanna call it a draw? I mean, I can do this all day, but you look like you're starting to get a bit tired," he said to the spider queen.

"No, seriously. You really should just give up. Like, look how many of us there are. Sure, we're missing a lot, but we have a lot of attacks to miss with, and statistically you'll keep getting hit eventually, and then you'll die. So come on! Give up, or die!"

Leon felt his hand trembling and his heart pacing at the size of the beast ahead. The eight-legged creature had the upper torso of a women and the bottom of an arachnid and Leon couldn't help but feel both repulsed and scared. He loved the macabre, don't get him wrong, but he'd never seen something so real and unprecedented in his life. He looked as his gear compared to the others fighting this monster. He wore nothing but the clothes he just got a few hours ago and he hadn't even earned enough points to invest in any of his skills. Right now, the best he could do was hope for the best and injure the creature as much as he feasibly could in his predicament.

Slowly, he breathed in and out and regained his nerves. It was all a game and, if there was one thing Leon prided himself on, it was his skills in videogames (albeit not much pride considering that thinking incessantly about several games in particular made him feel quite shamed in real life but, in this scenario, he should feel a teeny bit proud for some prior experience). He swiped his hand up and the game menu scrolled up, presenting a few options available to him. He clicked one; a very basic malefimancy skill that he'd used a few times on the rabbits in Brisshal.

As he chanted, he watched as the spell took a life of its own and flew to the towering beast, hitting and injuring it enough to leave a small mark. Sweat dripped from Leon's head as he felt a wave of exhaustion and nausea fill him. This game, he had to admit, was quite dedicated to make everything as life-like as possible. It was a half-appreciation, half-apprehension type as he marveled at the details yet felt glum over the feelings bubbling in his chest. He'd take a few breaths and then he'd make a new spell to attack. He just hoped he'd done enough to make a small difference.

Mugetsu had been testing his blade out on the field for the past hour. So far his kill list contained a total of 50 woodland creatures consisting off rabbits, snakes, wild dogs, and pretty big spiders the size of a small dog. As he stabbed his blade down into a spider's throax, it's green colored blood spilling out of it's guts - he looked down at his latest prey in disgust. "Ugh... I never did like spiders." With a flick of his hand the arachnid's life fluid flung off his novice blade. "But if it helps me get better with my blade then it's worth the sacrifice-"

He stopped in mid sentence as a large shadow loomed above him blotching out the sun. It was a giant ... SPIDER?!

"Oh you've got to be kidding me..." He muttered unbelievably. "Hey! If this is about killing your children I'm sorry!" Watching the battle unfold as more and more players joined the fray, Mugetsu decided to jump into the fight himself.

"On second thought... I take it back - I regret nothingggg!" He yelled a wild grin on his face as he approached the spider queen's thorax swinging his katana and cutting into it's hide ever so slightly. He sailed through the air and landed not so far away with a feral kind of grace. "Woohoo! Got'em!"

“Eh, to hell with it.” The dark haired mage let out a dissatisfied grunt as he’d continue watching his allies left and right constantly swing wide. As large as the creature was, they were all missing at an extremely unfortunate rate. That said, perhaps there was some strange magic going on, preventing his comrades from sufficiently carrying out the task at hand.

Not one to mull over things for too long, he’d begin chanting once more while sweeping the horizon for a suitable target. It would only be a waste to buff someone already receiving assistance no? He’d have to choose carefully. Of the suitable targets being displayed in his interface, he’d stop upon a particular name before a mischievous smirk formed across his lips. “Yup, looks like I found my lucky winner.” He was absolutely sure the woman would object later, but for the time being she wouldn’t have much say on the matter. Hopefully she wouldn’t be obtuse enough to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Hey Chunchunmaru! Sending a care package your way. Make sure you don’t whiff!
    @Merkaba

A healthy dose of laughter followed the brief message as it was sent to the strange girl. Were the woman to look over at Jack’s direction, she’d find that his spell cast had already completed as a bolt of holy energy slammed directly into her face and imbued her with powers diametrically opposed to her own.

Sera frowned. That girl she had healed just before still looked like she was missing a lot of her ability to fight. Honestly, if she looked closely, she thought the girl might be having issues other than the low health. Was she drunk? Sera let out a heavy sigh. Oh well, it was still a body to take hits so that other people didn't have to. "Looks like we're doing a bit more healing, Roy."

The prism shines brightly once again, and Sera began to chant. "Hanc vitam do vobis ut bene uti. Hoc bello non morieris. Ne per aestum meam et virtutem. Et restaurata. Alta stare. Certare usque ad mortem, et qui non est tibi. Non hoc in sinum tuum. Debere me tibi debitum, nisi vita tua."

With the chant finished, life would once more flood into @The Wall and restore missing HP. "Better use it well," Sera muttered. "I wanted to help kill this thing, not just heal people, but I recognize that if all you bastards die, it's coming after me..." Sera let out a "Hrumpf" of dissatisfaction. Idlely, she wondered if Lucia would be coming to fight this creature. Certainly, it would get the woman into the spotlight she loved, and deserved, so much...

Ortix decided it would be in his best interests to get another swing in before the spider struck back. He took his best running stance as he once again became enveloped in light. It was the same caster girl as before. He wanted to give a formal thanks but instead simply shot her a smile and redirected his gaze at the boss. His eyes locked back onto her middle leg of her right side, the one he'd been attacking from the start. Ortix sought to circle around towards the rear of the monster and minimize the damage he took. He could not afford to waste anymore of the healers' time on himself. While circumventing the boss, he happened upon a familiar face. It was Roland, the swordsman.

"Hey friend, funny seeing you here." He called to Roland with a devious grin, "Watch this!" Ortix suddenly cut a hard right and started gunning directly for her now, his spear not far behind.

"Same leg as always, woohoo!" Ortix was now closing in on her leg when he notice large mound of dirt piled up in his path. It was probably pushed their when she resettled her leg. Ortix decided to use this to his advantage. When he got close enough, he leaped onto the mound and then kicked off it bringing his spear past his head with a superman-thrust. This time for a little more effect. another piece of armor was chipped away adjacent to the previous mark.

"Now we're getting somewhere!" He landed back his feet with a smooth recovery followed by an immediate backpedal. "Your turn, Roland" Ortix said with a playful wink.

“Uaaaarrrroooooaaaaaaaa” screamed Rein at the top of his lungs in a mixture of excitement and fear. The sudden appearance of the giant spider queen was a herald of things to come and he could tell. “YES!” He cheerfully exclaimed as his pumped his fist into the air. It was spectacular to gaze upon, the sheer beauty of her form covered in blood tearing through the trees and adventurers alike, it was like nothing he had ever seen before. Truly, whatever presence had made this world had seen his tributes and sacrifices to bring this lovely visage to him today.

Wasting no time, he sprinted from the outskirts of the city towards the hulking manifestation of beauty itself. “I must bless it!” He screamed to no one in particular as dodged from tree to tree to and fro, “I MUST LET IT FEEL ME!” ripped from the boy's throat as he approached the lovely thing finally. Wasting time cackling he tried to restrain himself as he thrust his hand forward letting loose a small beam of concentrated lighting that blew forth from his palm. The beam struck the creature on the side and immediately deflected off heading in a random direction clearly not even effecting the visage of beauty itself. Where one would normally be dismayed the boy laughed eerily into the forest, content that he had finally found something worth believing in.

Olive screeched as she marched onto the battlefield, red in her eyes at the beast that stomped on her favorite sweets shoppe in Harbard. Smoke practically exhaled from her lungs and out her nostrils as she growled like a rabid animal. Despite the system telling her repeatedly that her vicious, scathing words had no effect on the rampaging arachnid, Olive cussed the system out as well, angered that her words did not count as a suitable 'taunt' move in the battle.

"YOU THINK YOU CAN TELL ME WHAT TO DO?!" she screamed at the static, unyielding HUD in front of her. It was insentient and, due to that, couldn't respond. "GUESS WHAT?! IF I WANNA TELL THAT FUDGING SMURF THAT IT COULD SHOVE ITS BUTT UP ITS FUDGING MOTHERHOLE THEN I COULD, YOU FUDGENUGGET! LET ME TELL YOU, YOU SHIZBIZ, THAT YOU ARE AN INFERIOR FECES STAIN THAT DOESN'T DESERVE AN ONCE OF MY DIVINE RECOGNITION AND THAT FRICK-FRACKING, FLIPPING GARBAGE FART COULD TAKE IT ELSEWHERE!" she screamed, her voice echoing in the battlefield.

She continued, smoke coming out of her ears as she accidentally pressed one of the spell options, immediately chanting and, after a few moments, sent a whizzing fireball smack into the Spider Queen's leg. "AND H-E DOUBLE-HOCKEY STICKS AND SUGAR HONEY ICED TEA, I AM GONNA WIPE YOUR BUTT OFF OF EXISTENCE, DO YOU HEAR ME?!" she screamed.

Feeling rather frustrated that he somehow missed the giant ass spider in front of him with his Fire Stream spell, Astor reconsidered his life choices as he rushed up close to the spider once again, feeling the early morning wind resisting his body. He was a man on a mission, a mission to obliterate the giant spider bitch that had ruined what was an early morning for him. When he received Bao’s text, he knew he absolutely had to sign in and go see what a world event was all about. Well, he did not regret his decision one bit.

Afterward, he opened his grimoire and began chanting, “Vindarh vende anzala norath… fus fen zadah VAN DORAH!” Astor emphasized the last two words in the incantation, because they boost the size of the cone of his fire attack.

After he finished his chant, Astor could feel a familiar fiery energy collecting at his palm, ready to let loose. He waited until he was right behind @The Wall before he ducked to the side and let the torrent of fire spew from his palm again. A direct hit? Holy fucking shit, a direct hit! He thought to himself as his eyes lit up from the boss’ HP dropping by a few percentage. There was something about a hit that felt great, and it was most likely that drop in boss HP.

After he scored a hit, he playfully punched @The Wall in the back and said, “Haven't seen you in a while. I can't stay though, good luck tanking that thing, buddy."

Then, he ran away once more, returning to the medium distance he’s been maintaining all these whiles. After he caught his breaths, he opened his palm menu and sent the Magi girl a private message.

Holy shit, that was a really powerful damage buff, thanks a lot.

Do you have a consistent group? Want to join me and my friend on a dungeon run at some point?

Dempsey saw that the battle was joined now, with players from all over the region swarming to the call. This worked to her advantage, she supposed. More people to soak up damage that would otherwise be aimed at her. She dashed from her concealment, startled monetarily as she passed by the bard she'd been ready to crush with her bare hands a few days prior. she still wanted to have a word or two, but that would obviously have to wait.

The unknown caster whom had taken it upon herself to add a 4 turn damage boost was pleasant bit of encouragement though, and she redoubled her effort to close the distance with a devilish grin. Steeling herself, she closed the final distance to the raid boss and struck again, and though amused by the imagined visual of her throwing a leaping uppercut into the things side, she refrained from shouting "Tiger Uppercut!". It was very possible that everyone besides her was too young to get the reference. Having learned her lesson, she backed away to a safe distance after, waiting for the opportune time to close and strike once again.

    Arachna the Bloodied Queen

    《 1662 / 2000 》

More damage has been done to the Queen of Spiders, but not nearly enough. Due to the highly-effective taunting from the tanks in the south, Arachna’s attention has been completely fixated with that particular direction. This is fortunate, however, considering that she was facing away from the town. This should have given its panicking denizens more time to evacuate from the site of fighting.

For a while, you could not hear a single sound from the Spider Queen. If anything, the silence was a lot more disconcerting than her furious screeching. However, that was about to change as her upper-body began to contort, twisting uncomfortably as something traveled up from her abdomen to her torso, eventually reaching her throat. Whatever it was, it manifested in the form of a large protrusion all the way until it reached her mouth. Something was about to come out.

    Arachna Attacks!

For a second, you could smell something rancid beginning to snuff out the fresh morning air as the Spider Queen writhed painfully, retracting her head backward before she thrust her head forward again and unleashed a vile mixture composed of spoilt blood and sticky white web. Although it may have seemed as though she was vomiting, those in the south could clearly see that she was targeting them, one by one. One spit was big enough to get an entire person drenched and locked down.

Anyone who was hit with the Spider Queen’s bloody web vomit would immediately be overwhelmed by the incredible stench of the rotten mucous that has been churning in her web-glans for days, if not weeks. If you tried to move, you will experience great resistance as the slimy adhesive pin you to whatever surface you’re standing on.

Afterwards, the Spider Queen crouches down on all eight legs, crushing the ground beneath them as she started storing energy in the legs.

Attack – Rotten Web Spittle The Spider Queen spits a lug of web and mucous at 5 people currently in the S, SE, and SW at all range.

@The Wall / @Astor Balthas / @Ortix Farlin / @Roland Rutledge / @Leon Captor are now immobilized for 1 post and their energy has been locked up by 70% while they have the “Webbed” Debuff on them.

This also means that all five of you are now experiencing energy-lock and your post cooldown has been extended from 4 hours to 8 hours; the cool down starts from the time of this post. This condition can be dispelled by supports.

OOC: Remember to be under 400 words and only post once every 4 hours. Multiple characters that you own can join the event as long as they have an inventory tracker.
