Nalani would like to use the excuse that she had gotten lost again, but that unfortunately wasn't the case this time as she arrived 'late' to the scene. She had just slid in when she set her pink gaze onto the giant lady spider literally vomiting onto the people on the opposite side of her, and although it was far and hard to see, she still gagged a little, turning away for a quick moment and squeezing her eyes shut. She really did not like vomit, video game or real life. She was just glad she hadn't come early and was standing on the north side, or she might've given up on fighting altogether.

She looked around at the various adventurers around her, eyes searching the mass for either a small girl with a dingo or a tall man with black hair. She was fine with fighting on her own, but she was always more comfortable when she was by some that she knew. Almost gave her a boost of energy- Might as well send a message to the one person she was 100% sure would be here.

After sending a quick message to her little friend, she turned her attention to the Spider Queen, taking in a deep breath as she began to murmur some word under her breath. Gripping the little silver bells in one hand and pointing the wand in her other hand at the spider, two blots of violet erupted from the end, swirling around each other and combining into one before hitting the spider successfully. She let out a small 'Fuck yah' in delight before looking around at the adventurers around her once more, planning her next attack in the back of her mind.

Aaron grimaced as he watched the spider queen shoot webs at the south side. He gagged at the nastiness of the smell. "Oh, gods above, that's rancid. That's horrible.... oh gods...." he coughed, trying to clear his lungs of the smell. He bent over like he was about to puke. He dry hurled, but nothing came up.

But after a moment, he was able to recover himself. He wiped his mouth out of habit and spun his sword in his hand slowly. "Alright, if you're not gonna pay attention to me, I'll just hit you again."

Aaron swung his sword, this time taking a small chunk of flesh with his strike. "HA! I GOT HER!" He shouted. "You feel that, you over grown bug? I got you! How do you like that, huh? Huh? Feel my wrath and suffer!"

Realizing that the beast really needed to face away from the south to give the people on that side time to recover, Aaron grimaced. His taunts hadn't seemed to be doing anything so far, but this time it was backed by some actual damage, even if it wasn't much. "Hey! Hey, I'm talking to you! Turn around and fucking face me!"

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" she screamed in rage for, perhaps, the first time in her life. She had literally carved out a makeshift mallet out of a fallen tree and used it to try and hit her dagger through the spider's shell. Her eye twitched as Terry continued to sleep, uncaring of the danger in front of them whilst a few people (she recognized Ortix among them) were covered in a sticky, white web. She was about to try and help before she heard a buzz and quickly opened up her game interface to see a message from Nalani.

Alpha's eyes widened as she read Nalani's message. She quickly looked around, searching every possible spot for Nalani but she, like many others, were hidden by the sharp trees. Then, after a few more seconds of searching and fast-paced walking with Terry sniffing out the area, she managed to catch sight of her. She bit her lip anxiously as she hurriedly typed back.

Jack continued to watch the battlefield with a cautious expression as he surveyed it from left to right with keen eyes. Though wanting to let out a sigh of relief, he’d hold it back for now. Given the nature of the game, he found it hard to believe that things would simply go as planned. His first quest had taught him and Aaron that the hard way. To believe otherwise was simply naive and foolish to the highest degree. For a world boss to only display such a base skill kit was nothing more than false hopes, dreams and delusions, none of which the dark haired man planned to get caught off guard by.

It was only moments later that his unfortunate premonition had come true. With the rancid smell radiating from the monstrosity, he’d raise an arm to cover his nose while witnessing what was to come with widened eyes filled with horror. Before he knew it, the entire southern fields were slathered in a nauseatingly viscous substance that sent a shiver down his spine. As for those located within the area? They weren’t so as to walk away with simple stomach problems.

He’d eye the new debuff wearily while initiating his own incantation. The mage already had a target in mind. Amongst the victims caught within the insidious creature’s webs was a familiar name that Jack felt compelled to prioritize over the rest (@Astor Balthas).

    “Vigis suh puch korilath vinaquirem!”

His magic now swathing the blond fire mage in a blanket of holy fire, it’d quickly begin to eat away at the foul and corrosive substances, freeing Astor from his shackles. A message of reassurance would be sent to the man while checking up on his condition. Hopefully he hadn’t taken too long to save his companion.

Sera frowned, but by this point anyone watching her might just decide that was about the only facial expression she could make, considering she'd been frowning almost this entire fight so far. She looked at the five people who had been hit by the spider's webbing. Two them appeared to already be having magic cast upon them that would allow them to be freed and return to fighting, which left three. Sera mused, trying to decide which of the three to focus on. The one woman hadn't really been participating at all so far, so she could let her exhaustion be handled the good old fashion way. That cat boy, though. She thought she had seen him get a good hit or two in so far.

She called Roy over to her and began to chant once again, this time not preparing a healing spell but a spell to free @Ortix Farlin from the webs binding him. When her chant finished, the webs would be burned away in a rainbow of light, and if Ortix looked toward her, he would see her blow him a teasing kiss. Not that she was particularly interested, she had Lucia. But, the boy was cute... she did like cats. She would have to find out if actual cats existed in this world, and ask Lucia about getting a pet. But for now, she had a spider to help kill.

Felicitas logged in with a relieved sigh, glad to escape the rain and her siblings for at least a little while.
As many messages popped up, requesting aid or even just bodies immediately, she almost regretted logging in. Once she arrived at the battlefield, she was very close to regret. Spiders definitely weren't her thing. However, seeing just how many people were fighting, and watching the spider's health bar depleting slowly but surely seemed to light her veins of fire.
As she approached, she saw a few familiar faces, and shouted greetings to them.
Her eyes focused on the spider queen once more, and she ran in, bringing her spell menu up quickly, and selected her first attack, her basic, but usually reliable little fireball. She'd gotten much better at casting her spells over distance, but not nearly good enough, it seemed. It got about half-way to the spiderqueen, and fizzled into thin air. She gave an enraged yell, lifting her hammer above her head, and ran closer.

Olive didn't notice the sticky web that coated her fellow fighters in this mini-war as she, as always, continued screaming bloody murder. It was a long rant of profanities before she finally fell silent (for, perhaps, the first time in her life) when she ran out of breath and needed to take a gasp. And then continue. "ARE YOU FUDGING IGNORING ME YOU MOTHER OF A LAMB?!" she accused, now moving all the way south to confront the Spider Queen head-on. Outrage had shook her body at the thought of being ignored and, through the power of absolute wrath and high blood pressure, she raised her fist and pummeled the Spider Queen (albeit unable to reach due to the large height difference between a 24 feet tall monstrosity and a felis). So, instead, she just kicked and punched the spider's shins (do spiders even have shins?) and cackled in anger and vengeance.

"FUDGE YOU!" she yelled as her fist made an actually bruise (an admittedly small one) on the spider's foot. With a cry of victory, she slowly walked backwards, hands raised high above her head like claws, and launched herself forward for body-slam. "YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME YOU FRICK-FRACKING GRIMY PIECE OF COW URINE?!"

A small tear streaked down Rein’s face as he faced his goddess. He just couldn’t overcome how beautiful she was, perfect in every way. Blackened cylindrical legs, red eyes one could just fall into, and luxurious black skin covered in the copper sheen of blood that tinkled lightly in the dying sunset. “It’s…” Rein muttered just unable to contain his joy, “Just so…so..wonderful.” In pure bliss he began to dance a little on the tree who stood upon.

He wasn’t normally this eccentric, but events such as these were rare in this land that when one witnessed such a wonderful miracle you cannot do anything but celebrate, extensively. The queen herself was facing away from him, but it didn’t matter, Rein needed to get closer. Jumping down off a tree he ran forward to the spider reaching out his hand, “Take my love!” he yelled as a small ball of electricity left his fingertips ripping forward through the air slamming into the arachnids let causing it to tremble slightly (dealing 12 damage)

Seeing the being react to his presence filled Rein with ecstasy, prompting an impromptu cheer and dance as he hail his new overlord. He’s follow her to the ends of the earth, to the bowels of hell itself, there was nothing left but his love for her.

A Involuntary shutter came over Troy when viewing the colossal spider, the mandibles, the legs gave her a eerie sensation and distaste of arachnids. Besides the huge nightmarish beast, blocking that from your mentality the field had rounded up a mass of people come to rally at menace that threatened this quaint town with its quirky yet quaint people. And a shit ton of loot. With big baddies come big rewards. New through the gate it was rather gutsy of her to involve herself in the event, though maybe this event could skip her over a few the third rate quests such as rescue misses phillips cat from a tree or collect wood and take it to location 'B' or some bull like that.

''fame a fortune aw-wlagh'' Troy dry heaved in the middle of her sentence when the tt-thing vomited all kinds of nasty over the fellow players. the hell with that idea, stay back and out of the way to avoid bug vomit, with that plan in mind she paced into the field and bringing up her skill tab she considered what action to take, very few options were open to her anyway regarding her level. The smell barred her from advancing much, it was putrid how the system can conjure up this nauseating sensation she noise had the joy of tasting, if she dared to open her mouth she could bet she could in that moment taste it and it would savor for hours to come. Troys random act of kindness today, she targeted a random person in the mess Roland Rutledge, it was just blessed that no one in the zone had the whimsical name such as Butcrack Mack or Troys witty favoritism would have plucked them up first.

''how the hell do you even pronounce this ... Baa-ram-ewe, baa-ram-ewe -screw it'' tapping a few icons instead her Naturamancy should conjure a small cyclone of leaves around the target and dispel them off ill effect, well that's what it says on the tin.

Screams and shouts rang out. The monstrous queen of spiders had just used a bloody webbing attack. Now sticky goop covered trees and the smell of it's bodily fluids filled the air. However that was not the case for the dark lady. She stood with more dark energy orbs forming around her hands. This was a powerful enemy for certain. Merkaba could see how it resisted everyone's attacks. Of course that was not counting the idiots that were literally missing a giant spider. Seriously it had a huge body and it's humanoid torso towered above the trees. This was a bigger bunch of folly than the earlier raid was. It was amazing that the bloody queen did not just turn and go home out of boredom.

Although there was a sadistic pleasure in watching this being of darkness so easily withstand and cause misery among the ranks of the weak. This was something that would be commonplace in Elizabeth's vision of the future. Perhaps that was why she felt less of a need to destroy it. This was just too enjoyable of a spectacle. Before she would shoot off another projectile however, that Jack fool blasted her with some kind of energy without her consent... idiot! The dark energy was not meant to be contaminated by someone elses mana! The orb almost exploded in her hand before she tossed it behind her back. It released a strange mixture of white and black energy. Perhaps for someone, mixing those two powers would be cool or something, but to her it was a waste of precious darkness. Now she had to cast her spell with a different focus so that the new element would not cause problems. Merkaba gave the man a glance of utter distaste before she turned away and began to build another orb.

Merkaba's attack became distorted hit nothing.

“Do not throw up. Do not throw up. Do not throw up.” Roland continually mentally chanted to himself as he refused to even attempt to break free from his binds. He wasn’t exactly sure what had happened, one moment Ortix was challenging him to a friendly competition and the next he was covered in the foulest smelling concoction he had ever come across. He could guess it came from the Spider Queen that he had been attacking up until now, but he hadn’t exactly seen why or how she deployed it. Not that it mattered, all of Roland’s mental focus was on not vomiting. Sure the VR software was supposed to prevent all external movements, but could it still let one breathe, think, and heart beat as well as a handful of other needed involuntary muscle movements. How could he really be sure, vomiting wouldn’t translate to real life?

In the end, it didn’t matter as seemingly out of nowhere a cyclone of leaves spun around him in a cleansing aura, slashing through the webbing and ridding Roland of the odor. Dropping to the ground Roland took in several deep breaths as he swiftly recovered. “Oh thank god.” he muttered as he quickly began to bring up his interface to see who had caused the debuff, seeing Troy’s name in the menu he hit a few buttons and sent her some gold with a note of thanks, he didn’t think he could have stood another moment of that hell.

Refocusing on the task at home, Roland burst forward with a renewed sense of speed. Since the beast was facing him now, his number of targets had increased greatly and Roland decided to act simply and just dig his blade directly into her exposed abdomen dealing 26 damage."OK ORTIX." he yelled, "THATS 1 FOR ME!"

Ortix paid close attention to the boss as it contorted violently in hopes that a weakness would reveal itself. Instead, the only thing he witnessed was a rank globule of blighted mucus. A bolt of it hurdled at Ortix at an unavoidable speed locking him in place and draining his energy. It was the most foul and vile thing he had ever smelled. Whatever Ortix ate in the past couple of hours was now scattered in the dirt at his feet. Just when he was about to pass out from his inability to access energy and the sheer stench of the stuff, a light caressed him. The long expired web-juice began to dissipate from him. To his surprise, when he looked over to the previous caster, she was paying him no heed. He looked about until his gaze settled upon the real caster. It was Sera from the dress quest he participated in a while ago, she was blowing a kiss in Ortix's direction. He blushed a little bit, posing with his spear while giving her a thumbs up and mouthing the words "thank you". Ortix turned to Roland then,

"Oh yea? Watch this!" he said full of content almost forgetting that he was just coated in gross spider juice. Ortix took off forward at the spider. Not remembering his mastery was in one-handed PIERCE, he went in for a slash. From the very start it was a mistake, his first step in landed on a pocket of loose dirt. As Ortix began to shift weight onto that foot and pull right for the slash, his foot started to slide. He slipped backwards whipping his spear around in a circle around him. If this was a performance he might have taken how first prize, instead, however, he hardly recovered on both feet with a shameful look about him. He quickly stumbled out of the spider's way and back near Roland.

"I don't want to talk about it..." He said without so much as a glance towards Roland.

Astor was overwhelmed with the nasty goo when he was webbed and glued into the tree he was standing next to a moment ago. The stench was incredibly, nearly knocking him unconscious from how it invaded his nostrils and filled his lung. He was struggling to break free, but all that happened was that he got more tired the more he struggled.

“Goddammit, son of a bitch!!!” he yelled out loudly as he kicked his legs wildly, but alas, the adhesive was far too strong for him to break free from. Resigning to his fate, as he saw the Spider Queen crouching on all eight of her legs and smashing the ground beneath her, Astor closed his eyes and recited his final prayer as he waited for his doom.

However, his prayer was heard by none other than his childhood friend. He knew it was Bao, considering the guy was the most skilled holy magic user he knows in game. As the warm light surrounds him, the sticky material began melting away, freeing him from his captured state.

Holy shit, thanks a lot bro, that was something I would NEVER like to experience again…

He thanked Jack for the dispel through his palm communication app.

Picking himself up from the ground, Astor began bolting out of the southern area. With the Spider Queen looking so intently this way and charging up her legs like that, he was expecting her to trample everyone standing this way or something. So with all of his might, he started bolting out of the area, eventually arriving in the East.

But on the way, he weaved through the spider leg and cast his Fire Stream once more, but of course, he tripped over his own legs and couldn’t even get the spell off like an idiot. Astor has never felt so incompetent as he picked himself off the ground and continued running.

    《 1580/ 2000 》

The ground continues to tremble as power continues to store within those eight crouched legs of the Spider Queen. A cracking sound can be heard as stone beneath her gives way to the increased pressure. Though still motionless for the time being, that eerie human head resting atop the monstrosity continues to focus its gaze upon its previous handiwork with what seems to be a sense of self satisfaction. For the first time ever, a ghastly and hollowed voice scrapes from that previously unused mouth.

"NOOO WHERE TO RUUUUUN, NOOOO WHERE TO HIDEEEE..."

As if a spring finally releasing the pent up tension, the gargantuan spider body rockets up into the air with a wicked cackle, only to come crashing down moments later with an unforgiving sense of cruelty. Her target? Those previously immobilized victims. A heavy boom sounded as nearby trees yielded to the powerful shock wave. A cacophony of death and destruction radiated from her landing point as the large, arachnid figure remains motionless for a short while, almost as if also recovering from the impact.

A short while later, the horror begins to stir. This time an eerie, unnatural glow of bile green manifests in her blade like arms that had previously served as pincers... A corrosive ooze trickles from the tips and burns upon touching the ground.

Alpha and Terry watched as the Spider Queen lunged down south just as they made it to Nalani. The creature's scratchy voice boomed through the battlefield, sending shivers down Alpha's spine. Determined, Alpha and Terry shared a look as they rushed down south straight to the spider's front. "Wait here Nalani!" Alpha called out. She'd defeat this monster before anyone could get hurt (well, more than now) and, as she passed through the creature's legs to meet its face, she ran her dagger through it.

Unsurprisingly, it glided right off but distance was being made as she and Terry shifted from spot to spot. Before long, they managed to get to their destination only to stifle a morbid, immature laugh at Ortix. The man had been the target of quite a few attacks already!
