  1. An unexpected visitor showed up in the ale tent, winning the attention and clamoring of many of the drunken contestants who were either drinking or watching the on-going matches. Although the tent got rowdier for a second, the man with the rich caramel skin put his arms in the air and shushed the crowd, managing to pacify them in mere seconds. He then said,

Ladies and gentlemen, please allow me a word. Everyone here must know who King @Astor Balthas and Queen @D'vangelline Falder is, right? Is there anyone who's living so deep beneath a rock to not know either of these great figures of our times? Nobody? Wonderful.

Then, may I present to you a special events, a showdown if you will between the King of Astorea and the Queen of Falderen, to see who reigns supreme over the ale.

Since this is more for fun than anything else, I will only take 30g. For 30g, you get a single wager to hedge for either King Astor, or Queen D'vagelline! How many drink can each contestant do before they hit the point of no return and pass out first? Put your prediction into my pocket and find out!

OOC: Send this account 30g labeling who you are betting on. Then, write a brief post and highlight the person you're betting on here. This match will be slow, one drink at a time until one of them go past 700+ and pass out, perhaps requiring medical attention.

  2. Astor makes threatening gesture at @D'vangelline Falder before he waved people to his side. "Has anyone forgotten how well I drink? Let the Falderen wench feel the wrath of the Astorean stoutness and incredible constitution. We have repelled a massive invasion, as your king, I can repel the alcohol seeking to invade my body. Come bet on me!"

  3. D'vangelline looked at her nails, disinterested in the commotion surrounding her. However, when she looked up and gazed at her opponent, she tucked her left arm beneath her chest and using it as a platform to prop her right arm up, resting her chin against the back of her hand.

"I have been blessed by the great Aethelwulf chalice, which has allowed me to consume a large amount of alcohol without damaging my body or being affected by drunkenness. Bet on my honor so I can take down this depiction of arrogance!"

  4. "Give him hell, Queen De Falder."

    betting 30g on D'Vangelline.

  5. "A self made King of a wounded country vs a Princess of a broken one? I suppose Astor has proven himself to have more than he lets on so I will offer support... don't fail, Dragon King."

  6. There was a lot of drinking going on around the whole of the festival area. But this especially didn't seem like a normal contest, with the spectacle that was being made of it. Looking through the crowd, Ashiore tried getting a glimpse of what was going on. She recognized Astor, but who was it he was seated next to? Was it- no way, was that the Princess? Or, rather, now that everything was over and done with, Queen D'vangelline?

Well. Uh. A little betting wouldn't hurt; she was certainly doing a lot of that recently. Ashiore wasn't a fan of watching people get drunk to the point of incoherence, but that looked like what was going on here. Might as well stay in case she was needed later on.

    Betting 30g on D'vangelline.

  7. "Shaddap, woultya," A quite unintelligible rambling can be heard from a corner, as the stomping sound of platform boots could be heard from a corner of the tent, as they went near towards the Prince. And then the sound of a bag of coins slamming on a table could be heard, and a man clothed in white revealed himself, his heavy sound of breathing could be heard, smelling of alcohol. "I would not tolerate insults here. Here's for the person who dissents from it!"

    Betting 30g on D'vangelline.

  8. She doesn't do drinking, let alone gambling. But this match might be one in a lifetime. King of Astorea versus Queen of Falderen in a drinking contest? Worth every gold pieces. "Don't let me down, King."

  9. Oh how wonderful it was! Look at everyone all having a absolute blast! Yes! Among the many players who were gathering all drunk, smiling and relaxed after the intense struggle for survival just a short time ago. Trinity would for the first obvious time not outwardly show herself to the majority of players here. No way did she want to ruin the super amazing atmosphere of victorious heroes! A translucent 'ghost' of the blue mascot would appear directly behind @Astor Balthas ...

"You did such a good job King! I like you and your enthusiasm to play well and have a good time with life! This must be that awesome drinking ritual that people do for fun! I remember that kind of stuff.... I think. Anyway! So, if you beat this native NPC, I'll give you something nice kay? I could never taste your drinks.... which sucks but at least you can taste them! Have fun kay?! Gogogogo!"

The voice faded away just as she did.

[Trinity is interested in seeing Astor win...]

  11. Leaning over to a nearby patron, Emerath whispers, "Can I bet on both? You know, to be sure? No? I wouldn't win anything anyway? It'd just net zero? You're no fun." He sighed and walked over to the Prince, "I suppose King Astor? I wish I knew more about these people. He has to have an advantage as an adventurer, right?" Emerath shrugged and went back to drinking himself.

  12. "Upvote for melons! W-wait, isn't it 2026? Do people still use Imgur and do imgur memes?" Quinn's vision slowly fogging over, yet, he still very much wished to witness the show down of the century between the two monarchs. He hope that Princess D'vangelline, or rather, the Queen, will help him win.

  13. "Come one, come all, put your bet on your favorite monarch now!"

  14. "I've heard about Astor being kidnapped by flaming gorillas and oneshotting the King in a flurry of elemental wrath, but our mascot D'va doesn't have quite as many illustrious tales." With that short explanation done, Cain flicked 30 g into the pot.

"Go get yourself a win, Queen! I'm rooting for yah! Drink him under the table!"

  15. "Sure, I'll bet on the lady. She's clearly a fellow chaotic soul. Can't say I know what to think about the ol' man. I'm still pretty sure I could drink 'im under the floor."
