Alright, there's a lot of stuff, so brace yourselves!

Plot Related:

Season 2 Related:

• The shadowy figure is a male NPC and may return in the future.
  
• The Caenis race was planned since the introduction of Snefrid.
  
• The name of King Theo's sword is not Victor. The name implies that those who are victorious over its owner will suffer a terrible fate. I.e. the lament of the victors.
• The super blob aka the Megalomass may come back, along with a few other bosses so people can experience them again in a more personal way.
• We will have to repair parts of the Astorean Capital that got destroyed during the siege.
• What happened to the Third Princess and other story related holes/cliffs will be resolved during the off season.

Season 3 (and Future) Related:

• There will be new NPCs, new laws, new factions, and information regarding what has transpired will be known to everyone, now that the big war between Astorea and Falderen is now over.
• It is highly possible the Lunatic Tribe returns as a faction and possibly it's own faction charm.
• New players would hear about lore and information from NPCs or on the message board IRL. For example, the war had had a huge impact on both Astorea and Falderen, so NPCS will talk about the event as their history.
• Real world events will become more relevant during season 3.
  
• Regarding PC antagonists, there may come a time a PC becomes center of attention.

Miscellaneous:

• The Dark Harvest will be a fun and relaxing festival, and it will happen at some point during the off-season.
• There are in-game and OOC festivals, but due to how long it takes to RP those kinds of events, we can't have many of them. Only the big ones.

Mechanics Related:

Balance Related:

• Hybrid roles will getting adjustments.
  
• There will possibly be a mastery to empower magic similar to dual wielding/beast taming.

Mastery Related:

Current Mastery Related:

• The exorcism mastery will remain.
  
• Tinker is here to stay. It also may get an update.
  
• Adding examples and clarifying descriptions to each mastery will happen in a future update.
  
• Devotion will be expanded upon
  
• Domestic masteries will be getting an update.
• Regarding crafting, they are still looking into what can be done to improve the current system.
• Tinker will encompass both steampunk and magitech, but people can choose to specialize in either, depending on their build.

Future Mastery Related:

• New masteries are coming.
• The world's technology will advance to include more steampunk/magitech, but firearms will never be considered.
• Snefrid's Enhanced Berserk is a boss heroic feat, not a feature of a mastery.

Race Related:

• Slime girls aren't happening.
• Race passives are definitely a thing and it will be in one of the updates.
  
• Vulpines will not be included with Caenis.
• Starting areas will be expanded, with more specific starting areas for all races.

Site Mechanics Related:

• More titles will be obtainable as the off-season and season 3 progresses.
• Quests will be expanded slightly, but how exactly was not stated.
  
• Shops will become a part of the housing system which isn't scheduled until after season 3. It will remain unchanged for now.
• Marriage system is possibly coming in the future.

TerraRP Site related:

• A feedback survey regarding the entirety of season 2 is coming.
• The maintenance is scheduled for no longer than two days at the most. Priority is on keeping the site up and running for as long as possible.

 

Miscellaneous:

• When Asch and Human Resources were asked which real-life aquatic creature they would be if allowed, the reply was as such:

Oooh~ mobile hotspot is how I get my internet in general. I just happen to live near a cell tower (like literally it's a few blocks from me, right near the garage parking lot we use). They're great if you're near a tower, but weather and stuff can make them real finicky :/

And lol mcdonalds is one option... Lots of places have wifi. My write-ins when I go? All at Panera last year. Year before that it was at a small coffee shop comparatively but they got a liquor license so we stopped using them 'cause noise.

But yus. Free wifi is best wifi. And depending on the phone, it's not so bad without a keyboard (unless your phone is a brick like mine then it wouldn't matter anyway 'cause what is internet on a brick?).

But yus. You'll be missed. And no overworking just 'cause I can't yell at you! >:c

 

I can try to write an actual example, but for now I'm just gonna note some things I'd want to include- mostly things I'd like to have told to me if I were a new potential member.

I'd make sure to note that though DM/event threads are optional to take part in, they're a great way to meet other characters. However, I'd also want to be warned (and as such, warn others) that sometimes the events can get intensely active, and that you shouldn't feel forced to join and/or interact with everyone. Take things at your own pace, and maybe try to do a small DM thread for your first one instead of what I did when I joined- y'know, to get used to the dynamics of rolling for things. Maybe play with other newbies with Trinity after you've gotten yourself planted a bit to really get used to it.

Of course, I'd also make sure to note things like the fact that the staff is always there to help, but the Wiki is just as helpful in many cases. Also would want to make sure to note the friendly community full of people who will happily play with new characters and the fact that certain things, such as the SAO implements, are being removed- since it's still kind of written in the literature, last I checked.

And finally... I'd mention the fun of the regular contests here in regards to story/world-building, which are great to feel part of it all and also to try to spread your creativity extra outside of RPs.

 

Hey-o all, fairly new member here. I had meant to get RPing with you lovelies under way before I started my vacation, alas, a combination of unexpected double shifts at work and the flu meant that that wasn't possible. I'll be flying out to Ohio today for wizard school yule (feel free to ask about this), and will return and be able to RP with you lot (at long last) on Monday, though do bear with me if I'm a bit addled, as I do not anticipate getting overly much sleep while away.
