  1. Southern Astora....or Norforva, your not sure, in days or months pass you heard of some distant place named the built and held by bandits.....and perhaps players? It is said from the rumors you would hear details that this place is an arena where these people capture many players and NPC's and throw them into the center of their so called areana for their pleasures as well as special VIPS which suppusedly ranged from nobles to murders and thieves. Where is place is a mystery to all, some say it's in southern Astorea, some say itsin Norfova to escape prying eyes of the public and the ruling classes of the nighboring kingdoms, attempts were made to find such a place and destroy it by the many nobles that made up the courts of the rulers yet any parties sent down south have never returned for one reason or another.

It is not known how or why you were chosen nor would you most likely remember how you got to such a place but when you finally awake, you find youself in a dark and bloodied cobblestone room with a stange warrior statue in the middle next to a few drains, on the walls there a few windows leading to the outside with magical bars and there is magical caged door lead out and into the room. There isn't much in the way of contents in the room besides shackles of those were held in the room prior. Outside the room from the bared windows, you could hear the clashing of blade and axe and other weapons as well, you can hear the screaming of spectectors in the distance and the moans and groans of people dying, moments later blood would begin to seep into the room, running down the walls and into the drains on the floor, looking out the window would reveal the large stone floor of the so called arena with the desceased on it's cold exterior alongside the walls you could make out stands where the spectectors were. Suddenly after the clashing of weapons had stopped, you would hear an older man, speak out to the people as an announcer of sorts, If you would listen, you would learn some interesting things indeed.

"Spectectors! Fellow Blade Runners! Welcome to the next round of the Warriors Gauntlet! A devastating but entertaining display of our "VISTORS" running through our exquisite crafted maze of death and destruction! They will need to fight their way through beast and men through our network of tunnels that makes up the Gaunlet! Once they fight through our mazes, they will arrive at our arena! One must not only be brave to survive, If they are skilled, we may even allow them to live out of the generosity of our hearts! Is that right bayblin?"

Within a second, you would hear the alluring voice of a young woman

"Oh yes Rolu,I cannot wait to see how the new batch of our Vistors will do, will they die like the weak people they are? Or will we see a glorious fight in our arena today? Time to find out yes, Rolu? Let the games begin!"

With the voice of the woman disappearing, immediately the magical caged door lead out and into the cobblestone room open, leading down a dark and erie tunnel with two doors at the end of the room.

"What the hell is this place? How the hell did I get here?" Seto mused, petting the back of his head as he awoke on the ground. He took in his his surrounding, he was in some erie cobblestone room with the blood of those who had fallen in combat or tortured in this room, he couldn't tell difference but it didn't matter to him, nor did he care, he needed to figure out why and how he got here in this place. Thinking the hardest he could, the last think he could remember was being in southern Astorea doing some work for the future of his Duchy when he ambushed by nearly two dozen men armed to the teeth with some mage leading them, he remembered slaughtering quite a few of them but he couldn't remember If he killed them all, maybe the mage used a spell on to capture him? But for what purpose he wondered. The sounding of conflict and blood aroused Kurama within his body, seemingly excited due to being at home, Seto tried his best to ignore Kurama's mental scratches at his mind, wanting to take control so he could probably have what he would call "Fun". The clashing of blades intrigued him enough for him to approach the bared windows at the top, the spillage of blood running down the walls didn't bother him, be was more interested in the two gladitor like people in the distance fighting to the death with such ferocity, he was impressed since he had not seen such determination from many players. It was amusing to watch two warriors fight to the death, he slightly wished he was in the stands watching the fight than be down here.

Come to think of it, why doesn't he just teleport himself? Placing his index and middle finger from his right hand on his forhead, he tried gathering his energy from throughout his body to his finger tips to teleport himself to the floor of the arena yet.....he couldn't, he couldn't explain but it was like he was cutt off from his energy supply, preventing him from using magic......"Great....wasn't expecting this.....so much for using magic to get out of this desolute place....I guess I'll just cut myself an exit through the people here." Even If he couldn't use magic, he could fall back on his blade, not that he used magic primarly anyway, it simply buffed his arsenal on what he could do on the offensive. The thought of using force to break down the caged door on the other wall was a thought but since it have off magical properties just as the bared windows, he imangine they were far stronger than any human could break so he wouldn't waste any time trying to do so. Speaking of swords, he had completely fogotten to check If his sword was even on his back! Placing his right hand on his back, he moved his hand around until he found his saya and his Odachi's hilt, Seto sighed in relief. "Well that's a relief I still got my Odachi but why would my captors allow me to wield my weapon? Does their stupidity have no bounds?" He honestly had no idea what to think, There would be few reasons why a person or a group of people would kidnap a person and allow them to keep their arms and armor unless they planned on throwing them into battle, that was the only conclusion he could think of at the moment but even than, why allow HIM to have his weapon? He was known for his abilities in combat, did they really want to die by him? Or did they think they could handle him? So many questions and so little answers.

In his deep thread of thinking, he was cought completely off guard when he heard two announcers speak, first a man telling the people in the stand of the Warriors Gauntlet, the arena they were in and he was certain he was one of their "Vistors". This only confirmed his line of thinking he was captured to fight for sport for these bastards until killed, this didn't sit well with Seto, not at all. If it was the last thing he did, he would kill the bastards incharge of running the place for trying to use him as a tool. The main contiuned to speak of the interior workings of the Gauntlet, Seto would need to fight his way through a network of tunnels before finding himself in the arena itself, it seemed simple enough, It was obvious there would be beasts and men in the tunnels otherwise those damm watchers wouldn't enjoy the show. Seto snickered when he heard the woman speak as if this was a game before finallying telling everyone the game had starting, opening the caged door through unknown means. "Hmph, Bring it than lady, well see If this maze can keep me out from killing you wench...am coming for you woman." He muttered to himself as he looked in the direction of the open caged door that lead down some tunnel.

  2. Sylpha did not like mixing in with the less savoury crowd, but there were sights she wished to see and she spent whatever money and time she earned on attending whatever events caught her eye. This time, the blue-haired Yladian was sitting amongst a crowd, bustling in anticipation to see what was ultimately a death game. Yes, she had already gotten to see the duels to the death, but thanks to being late she had missed most of the first round of contestants. She had already assumed anything she brought with her would be stolen, so she kept everything she couldn't afford to lose somewhere else before attending, bringing just the ticket she had purchased and a bare minimum amount of money.

As a middle-aged man introduced the event to the audience, the crowd grew louder even before the female started to speak, and even louder when they noticed how attractive the female announcer was. Admittedly, even more attractive than her, which earned many a snicker and lewd comments considering what kind of crowd this was.

Elongated ears perking up, Sylpha listened to the comments floating about amongst the crowd.

"I hope they bring out the Flipper this round."
"I say, ye have no taste. The Flame Wheel was more amusing! They get rolled out screaming!"
"Prefer watchin' them fly out myself I'm afraid."
"'ay Lass, this yer first game?"

Hm? Apparently, someone had already called out to her. Turning to see a man with a sneering expression, she just said "Yes, it is." before turning back to the stage.

"Then you better not be squeamish, because you gonna see what real exciting entertainment is like."

Glancing at the bloodstains dotting the arena, the Yladian replied: "I think I'm ready."

(OOC: Due to not being a participant feel free to skip my turn)

  3. Ayame woke up with a headache wanting to ask the question of what bus had decided to hit her. of course she knew she wasn't anywhere near something like that. She had been walking through the game world of Terrasphere and then suddenly a group of more people then she could even rightly handle came upon her and that was all she remembered. It didn't matter she was pretty sure she was blocking it off and that was fine. It would be better that way and then those images came into her head and she just shot her eyes open. She had woken many minutes before but she had kept herself in such as way that she was biding her time.

When she did open her eyes she was met with something out of a personal hell in the real world. At first her mind wanted to panic and then on the other hand her will to not so weakness her wanting this game to help in helping her forget the past or at least standing up to some of it. She took a deep breath centering herself. She was trained to use such weakness to her advantage. She was trained on how to now let things effect her. However, they did in their own way. But a good shinobi knew when to turn off their emotions and a warrior knew that you couldn't save everyone even if you wanted too and even if you tried. She was a warrior she had learned the traditions of the time honored shinobi. She would be just fine.

When she heard the sword and axe well that was enough to make her go for the poor partisan that she had managed to find. It was not a weapon she was familiar in using on the outside of this game. But it worked much like a naginata and that just made her happy. It was also shaped in a way that made her feel well very comfortable with it. When her hand gripped it she felt relief wash through her. She was still dressed in the armor that she had as well as poor as it was. It had been what she had found and that was fine with her. It wasn't until she saw the blood dripping in and she heard the announcer did she realize completely the gravity of the situation in front of her.

She calmly thought to herself as the doors opened. She did not just run out. No she walked towards the open door testing the ground around .Making sure she knew where the hell any outside air was coming from. Caution was what kept you alive for a little bit being overly so got you killed. Patrisan in hand she made her way out carefully and kept her eyes and ears peeled for anything that might be coming at her. She wasn't too keen on this or being used for sport but this was not the first time she just hoped it was going to be the last time. her mind snapped into survival mode.

  4. A lone figure waited just outside the massive stone doors that had held him captive only hours ago. A white cape, dusty from stone riddled walls, covered his features from the face down, whilst golden eyes lay closed as he awaited the arrival of another.

He didn't have much recollection of what had transpired the moments before he landed in this strange place. His thoughts muddied with glimpses of a tavern back in Astorea that he had occupied the night before? He was unsure. Suddenly the scene shifted. Night had befallen him and he maneuvered the darkened alleyways of the town before finding himself outside the gates off the kingdom.

The memory shook once more. Now he laid dirt and darkness. Cold rock covered the area and the smell of death and bile filled his nostrils on the first intake of breath. Panic was no stranger to Oikawa, however, he didn't fear his surroundings. In fact, he seemed more intrigued than ever, as he rose up and overlooked his new location.

Massive doors sat just ahead. The sounds of cheers, battle and running echoed from just outside them. he wasn't sure where he was, but he knew the sound of contest.

It would seem I've been invited to an event I'm supposed to partake in rather than spectate...

Whispering a small incantation, a small ball of light produced from his fingertips and illuminated the room. Shackles hung from the walls, No doubt to hold more "visitors" like the voice from outside had alluded too. Drains lined the walls, the red splotches denoting the river of blood that occasionally seeped in from above as they filtered out to some unknown location.

Pressing forward, he pushed through the door as it opened...

    SPLATCH

A dislodged head rolled to the floor near his feet. The face of another "visitor" he presumed. Kicking it aside, the doors closed behind him. The ground shifted and shook, causing him to lose his balance and look towards the walls of the hallway he found himself in as support. He scanned ahead. Darkness enveloped whatever laid ahead and he was in no hurry to reach it. Especially given the head that had been lobbed from its depths.

Leaning against the wall, he paused to think. However, his thoughts hadn't the chance to form, as another soft thud sounded from behind the doors. Beast or "visitor" he wondered. The sound of chains rattled off into the distance as once more the doors parted. In there wake stood the outline of girl.

Well this just got interesting, he mused.

  5. Well Seto hoped at the very least this place would prove to be entertaining to him. He heavily doubt this bandit filith could capture anything powerful enough to give him a challenge but Terrasphere always seemed to enjoy proving him wrong so he would have to seee wouldn't he? After those thougts left his mind, Seto instantly drew his Odachi from it's saya on his way and held it to his side as he slowly began walking down the tunnel. It was dark and cold as expected of a stone tunnel it didn't frighten him despite the large amounts of dried blood on the walls, it didn't even faze him and neither would it when he opened a wooden door without hesitation revealing bloodied room with a large drain in the middle. He raised an eyebrow, this room must have be a death trap as well but he couldn't figure out what would happen next. He looked around the room and saw nothing but stone walls covered in blood with a drain at the bottom, there was another door on the other side of the room but it was safe to assume it was either locked or booby trapped If someone tried opening it, he wasn't an idiot, he had explored enough ruins with Merkbaba and Alia to know when he saw a trap or not. As soon as the door slammed shut behind him, locking him in most likely, his train of thought was broken by that familiar old man's voice again, it was the announcer, Seto grinned angrly as the old man begun speaking.

"Ohohoh! It seems our lovely first contestent, the Ebony Duke of Ivalice has made his lovely behind to the first chamber of death! Will this big old strong boy survive against the odds? It's Time to find out if the Ebony Duke is all that cracked up to be or If he's a little boy who cries himself to sleep! RELEASE THE HOUNDS!

"Hounds?" Seto thought to himself, they were going to seriously send dogs at him of all things? Seto grinned once more out of dissapointment, expecting something akin to wolves at least but nope instead......dogs. He couldn't help himself but taping the tip of his blade against the ground after hearing the announcer's speech. Immediately after the announcer finished speaking, four medium sized blocks in each side of the wall disappeared, revealing a fox hole in every wall in the room, they were small yes but more than large for a wild or domesticated dog to get through. Soon enough the growling, barking and howling on the other side became noticeable enough they would on top of him within seconds, wasting no time, Seto gathered the energy from throughout his body and sent it to his Odachi through his hand before changing it's nature akin to the darkness, causing the energy that flowed around his Odachi's blade from it's natural light blue to a dark purple color with a vile apperence taking over the aura, causing the aura to rupture around the fire a violet flame consuming a forest at rapid speeds.

Tilting his head in both directions he cracked his neck a few times before raising his Odachi near his face in a guard position. "Hmph.....Alright lets see what these lousy muts got. I haven't had any fun in a long time so this is a good chance in getting the blood boiled again."

  9. Ayame was being cautious right now. She was new to the game still. Well fairly new anyways and she knew that she would not last if she was not careful with what she was doing. She kept her nerves in check and she calmly moved forwards. This was not her first games of this nature. It was one of many that the monsters on the island had made her and her kin go through. She had not wanted to remember something like this. And whomever ran this place was going to die by the blade at the end of her Partisan. If she ever got a chance to get up close to them. She had no healings things with her so she was going to have to be careful. She was checking things and moving like a thief in the night. Or at least it would seem that way. After all she didn't actually have the rogue abilities. She had opted for some entertaining skills for herself. But her physical disposition allowed for her to move like this. She took a moment to look around her.

It wasn't until she noticed another figure standing there that she realized that the person might not be foe. It took a moment. "Hello. Who's there?" She questioned him. Her hand was gripped tightly to her pole arm. She looked up again when she heard the old man's voice yet again. Telling them that there was already someone that made it to the next room that they were supposed to be making it too. Then it dawned on her who the man was. Or rather she had heard of. She took a moment to mentally remember to find him so that she could return him to Alia. She rolled here eyes and then she looked at the other and started to head towards where she hopped the door to the place that held Seto was. It wasn't going to be easy because in the tunnels there lurked other things.

She noted rats and blood. Alot of blood plus bone and other things. Those that had come before them it seemed. She kept pressing forward. Easily killing smaller rats with the staff of her pole arm. It was easy enough for her to smash in their head that way. She continued down the path. Hoping that the other was following her as well. She started to hear the growling and she wondered if they could get in there before the hounds could do too much damage to the one inside but that a part of her was sure that they wouldn't let them reach the doors without sending something out at them too and something she was sure was going to give her some trouble in killing.

  10. Silver hair framed the face of determination and curiosity as the woman stepped towards him. His own curiosity rising as she called out to him whilst simultaneously taking a firmer grip on the weapon she handled. His automatic reaction was to raise his hands and flash a small grin in an attempt to show he meant no harm. The fact that she is already battle ready means that if I don't play my cards right she may end up attacking me. She looks innocent enough but you can never be too sure in Terrasphere. He let his hands fall to his sides and stood more erect before dropping into a slight bow. "To answer your question, I'm Oikawa. And you are?" The question came off more rude than intended but given the circumstances and the sounds around, formalities were rather time consuming and they didn't have much time.

Overhead, the deafening voice of the host of their unfortunate circumstance resounded all around. He mentioned the specific title of some other "visitor" that seemed to be trapped in his game as well. The voice rambled before concluding with the release of some beasts upon the unsuspecting victim. Glancing back to the girl, the wave of expressions on her face painted a pretty clear picture of her next intentions. Shifting his stance, he offered his help in what he already knew was gong to be a quest to save the person mentioned before.

"It wouldn't be a crazy assumption to think you know of the man the voice speaks of? Is it a love interest or family?" His words danced through the air as she began moving towards the darkness he actively wanted to avoid only moments ago. "Guess that's yes," he whispered unto himself; following the girl in her pursuit of the location of the Ebony Duke of Ivalice. Wrapping his cloak around him, Oikawa braved the darkness and mentally prepared for whatever lied ahead. He knew one thing for sure, wherever the man was, it wouldn't be a simple trip to get there. The winding tunnel offered far too many options of which turns to take and they had only chosen straight so far.

  11. From the edges of his eyes, they turned in every direction in an effort to catch the enemy's movement when they would finally appeared before him out from the fox holes in the walls within the room. They were only dogs after all but that didn't mean he could underestimate them since even he could become critically wounded or even killed If he let his guard down. From all the barking and growling he could hear, he couldn't tell for certain how many they were but it had to be at least a dozen or so he mused to himself. "What?" Out of the countless barking and growling came the sounds of clawing and digging from the ceiling above him which caught the attention of his eye's as he saw witness of the ceiling starting to crumble before him. It took only a few moments before a blackened hole took shape in the ceiling with the cut out on the floor near Seto's feet. Out of nowhere from the hole in the ceiling came a wild dog lunging straight for Seto.
From the edge of his right eye, it caught the mut's movement just at the last moment, forcing Seto to turn in the opposite direction of where he was standing before. With no time to go on the attack, Seto kept his hands close to his forehead as he raised his Odachi's blade horizontally in a defensive parry position. The mut unable to change it directory from where it had orginally lunged from had it's mouth smash into middle of the blade as If it had been trying to catch it instead. Seto smirked as the blade began digging itself deeper passed it throat thanks to the momentum from the mut's lunge attack but Seto wasn't going to give it another chance to attack as far as he was concerned.

He let the mut push his blade back inches from his face despite the fact it contiuned to dig itself into it's body but at the very same moment, using all the strength he could muster, Seto quickly used this newly acquired strength to push back the blade forward quickly, using the forward momentum to fling the mut across the room until it crashed into the wall and hit the ground. It still wasn't dead but by judging he heard bones break upon it's impact against the wall and the fact it was laying in a puddle of it's own blood, it wouldn't last long obviously. unfortunately there was no time for Seto to rest or analize the room again as this time around, nearly a dozen muts came rushing towards him from the fox holes, it was than he heard the voice of that annoying announcer again.

"HERE IT IS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE EBONY DUKE HAS BEGUN THE FIRST CHALLENGE! HE'S KILLED ONE HOUND SO FAR BUT CAN HE KILL A DOZEN OR MORE? AT THE SAME TIME?!! TIME TO FIND OUT! ARE YOU EXCITED FOR THIS LIKE I AM??!! TIME TO SEE IF HE MOVES ON OR IF HE DIES HERE!"

    img
    Seto
Seto gritted his teeth as growled himself under his tongue, that announcer was starting to really get on his nerves. "When this is over, I am going to shove my blade up his ass.....ggggrrrr........BRING IT!"

With his anger and fustration driving his blade forward in a vertical slash as he took a single step forward, The Odachi's blade rain downwards on the incoming mut infront of him, the momentum of the blade moved so quickly, it dug itself effortlessly into body, ripping it in half. With the momentum of the blade, Seto performed an about face with his foot, twisting his body in a one hundred eighty degree turn with the blade as well, using the momentum to bring his Odachi over his head before unleashing it again on the muts with a diagonal slash. The results were the Odachi's blade tearing in the fur and the flesh of two muts who lunged at him at the same time, killing them when their bodies were severed in half but he wasn't done. With the momentum still carrying over from his last attack, he caught two other mut attacking him from his flank so he used the momentum to swing the blade horizontal which produced the same results, his blade smashing into their bodies and tearing right on through like a piece of paper, killing them almost instantly or laying on the grounds dying. Unlike the last two times however it looked like he wouldn't be able to dodge this attack as the muts came at him from all directions. This wasn't the case however, dropping his Odachi on the ground, he combined his right hand's index and middle fingers together and placed them on his forehead. Quickly he gathered energy from throughout his body and raced it upto his head, causing his energy to dematerialize his body and shooting across the room before his body materialized again in the world. Seeing his chance to finish this quickly since the muts were confused, Seto used his right hand as a conduit to gather the nessesary energy needed and when he gathered enough, he slammed his magic engaulfed hand into the ground.

    skill
    Ebony Mist

    "SHADOW STYLE EBONY MIST!

He shouted outloud without thinking, smashing his magic consumed hand into the ground caused the stone floor to crack under pressure where it had hit. Out from the cracks in the ground where he had hit came a dark purple, almost ebony color smoke that came up from the ground, less than a minute later, the smoke turn to a mist as it began to consume the entire room Seto was in. Within moments, the spell began taking it's effects on the muts in the room, causing them to moan and howl in pain as many of them collasped on the ground as the mist sapped their life force and strength away, many of the muts who were already injured or laid dying died almost instantly. Without effort Seto walked passed the muts still alive to the center of the room and sheathed his Odachi after wiping the blood of the tip and joined his hands together under his Kimono's long sleeves. If it wasn't apparent already, The Ebony Duke was immune to his own attacks. Seto sighed before making his way to the door on the other side of the room. He looked over his shoulder one last time at the room before opening the door which revealed another stone tunnel. The room was obviously covered in a mist with lovely fresh red paint all over the walls and floors, he surprised himself how much there was considering he only killed dogs but than again his dark magic had started to decay the bodies which gave off the smell of death, that was his que to leave obviously. Slamming the door behind him, he was surprised the announcer didn't say anything but than again the room was completely engaulfed by a mist so they wouldn't be able to see it.

  15. She could hear the announcer but she knew that get to where Seto was was not going to be easy. She knew this because she knew she was far weaker then the Ebony Duke. She looked back at the man that spoke to her. She was assessing him as much as he had been assessing what she might do. She was prepared for battle but a part of her was fairly certain he wasn't an enemy if he was calling out but you never knew and for her she just watched for the moment. Terraspher had a way of surprising you and on top of that things like this already made her wonder about other people so there was both what she had already learned in this game and what she had learned real life that brought her to the conclusion that if he was foe and decided to attack her she would not hesitate at killing him in an instant.

However, the words that came out of him made her roll her eyes. "He is not my lover. He is my ladies' lover. I am but a knight and she considers me family I believe but if he dies she's not going to be happy." That was all she said to the comments. She liked seto and though she hadn't had time to talk to him much. She knew that if her Lady liked him then he was a man of honor and his word and she knew that their words they stood by. She had to get him home to his lady otherwise she knew Alia would stop at nothing to strike down everyone here and she's rather he lady not have to get her hands dirty even though she knew Alia was a lioness and did so time and time again.

The man followed her into the darkness and she heard the announcer again but she couldn't hear anything else after that. The darkness gave way to another room. A room where the two of them were going to have to watch quickly. She looked back at the man. "Ambush" was all she said as she took note of a group of goblins coming up at them. She got in a ready stance as the announcer seemed to shift over to the two of them. "Our no name visitors seem to be stopped in second room by a lovely group of goblins."

Ayame rolled her eyes. She hadn't had time to make a name for herself and she didn't know the man with her but as five goblins came out her with pitchforks she went after them with her partisan taking care of the first but then she realized this wasn't just the tunnel. She looked around her as the lights lite up the room a little more. There were more goblins pouring out from all around them. She took a breath this was going to be interesting. And above she heard something else. Was that the end of Seto's battle. Was he above them. She shook it out she needed to focus. "Take the Left, I'm Ayame by the way." She took over the right and moved to do what she could with the goblins there. As she gathered the idea for an illusion that would get them out of this room and heading up.

  16. Icy words escaped the lips of the silver-haired woman as she continued to push forward.

"He is not my lover. He is my ladies' lover. I am but a knight and she considers me family I believe but if he dies she's not going to be happy."

Oikawa nodded, not that she could see it being ahead of him; but more so out of habit as he began to understand the situation a little better. So a knight huh? Missing quite a bit of armor there for that role, no? Perhaps where she hails from, the attire and weapon of choice isn't as important as that of medieval knights. I suppose given this game is bound by no restrictions in that sense, she could be in commoner's garb and still be hailed as a knight. Shrugging the thought away, his pace quickened as they were suddenly thrust into yet another room. The voice overhead cackled to life once more, informing the duo of what was in store for them.

Goblins? Really? I'm offended at the simplicity of these trivial trials. This ought to be quic- his thoughts paused as the girl shouted "AMBUSH". Checking his surroundings, the sounds of shuffling feet and clanging metal alerted to him to just how grave their situation may be. What they lack in complexity, they make up for in sheer numbers. I counted five or six goblins originally, but with the little bastards tearing through the wall and possibly the ceiling, we may be far outnumbered.

His thoughts snapped again as the girl finally gave her name. Stepping closer to her and covering her six, Oikawa responded, "I'll handle the left, and the name is Oikawa. Nice to meet you Ayame." Manifesting the dark energy coursing within, Oikawa let loose a volley of energy blasts from his palms. The orbs collided with creatures causing a few from his side to either disintegrate or be blown backwards. Looking over his shoulder, he reasoned the knight could hold her own, but called out anyway. "Watch yourself, you have a few flanking from behind." Letting loose another volley, he popped another question. "Do you have a plan or are we just gonna sit here and stave off this onslaught?"

This was really starting to feel like Deja vu right about now after he had felt like he had been walking for an eternity down the same looking stone tunnels, they were all litered with the bones of the former who didn't survive, dried blood everywhere, rats of course as well as the air being thick with dust and other unpleasentries in the air made it difficult to breath, not to mention it was difficult to see with only the smallest candles lighting his way. Besides stepping on the occasional bone of one of the fallen, these stone tunnels were extremely quiet, giving it an eerie vibe to it. Such a place reminded him greatly of Merkaba whom used to make her bases in such place's with similar vibe's, it was almost too familar for his taste, luckily for him that witch was already in the ground otherwise he make sure of that If he ever saw her again even If it killed him.

Eventually his mind cleared of his former master of sorts when he came across a large doorway with two doors you would find in a manor. He initially simply examined the doorway, it looked like a normal doorway with no magical runes or spells casted on it but why would such a mastercrafted doorway and it's two doors be down in here in this hell hole? It didn't make any sense to him but there was only one way to find out he mused. As he opened the right door with his righ hand, pulling on the glass knob, the opening of the door created some flash of light, causing Seto to cover his eyes with the sleeve of his Kimono as he walked though the doorway. At first he couldn't see anything due to the light but in the background, his ears heared the tearing of flesh and the scattering of bones amongst the ground. When the flash of light finally ended and his vision within his eyes returned to him, Seto's eyes widened in despair. He couldn't believe what his eyes were seeing, he somehow stumbled upon a large underground graveyard within a crypt? Of course the setting itself wasn't important, what was important was the very sight before his eyes where the origin of the ripping of flesh originated from.

In the middle of the chamber laid the countless live peasents whom were being feasted on....by the undead or rather known as walkers or zombies to those who wouldn't know. The ripping of flesh and bone, the screams and moaning caused Seto to grit his teeth togther as he gripped his right hand into a fist. The amount of blood everywhere, the limbs and ripped organs lying on the floor.....This was going too far, this was something even he wouldn't do under most circumstances yet these.......dam bandits were throwing people's lives away in such a way.....Such a sight caused a urge of energy to rise from his body which caught the attention of laughter. Angry now, he looked up towards the ceiling, seeing people talking behind some window. He couldn't describe it If someone asked but in that instant, something snapped within him, causing him to bring back his hands together and gathered as much energy he could in a few seconds before shooting his hands back forward and unleashing the trapped energy from his hands towards the windowed stances towards the top of the wall.

    Abyss Wave!

The massive purple ray wave of energy soared through the sky and seemingly smashed into the window stands, Seto smirked, wishing for all those pieces of shit to goto hell until he released his energy wave was been halted in it's place by a magic barrier. "WHAT?" Seto nearly shat himself when his pruple wave of energy dispersed with an explosion upon it's impact against the magic barrier that protected the windowed stands, causing a shockwave. He raised his left arm to shield his eyes as the shockwave kicked up stone and dust into the air, his kimono loosened parts flickered through the air violently as it contiuned. After it few moments and the shockwave dispersed, Seto couldn't help notice the destruction of the graveyard with most of the tombstones either partily or completely destroyed and the corpses of dead and living peasents were all over, the undead were all over as well. There wasn't a moment to relax however as he heard the laughter of those in the window stands above him and the doors behind him disappearing. "Shit"
He muttered to himself, he walked straight into a trap and it looked like it wasn't going to be easy to get out of this one since he couldn't magic here since the undead were immune to dark magic and magical barriers were probably in other area's as well. He than heard that annoying announcer speak again, he couldn't wait for when he could kill that pric!

"HOHOHO LOOK AT THIS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! It seemed The Ebony Duke is full of surprises! We thought he was dealing with those pesky hounds but look! Our Eyes don't decieve us, He only got passed the Hounds unseen but now he's in the Hallow Crypt with our favorite creatures! We figure we give them an appetizer before feeding the Duke to them!......BUT OH OH! WE SAW WHAT YOU DID MINSTER BAD DUKE YOU! TRYING TO KILL OUR SPECTATORS IS A NO! NO! SO GUESS WHAT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN??!! INSTEAD OF FIGHTING ONE HORDE, THE EBONY DUKE OF IVALICE GETS TO FIGHT TWO HORDES WITHOUT THE USAGE OF MAGIC!!! Doesn't that sound like Fun? Oh and just in case you think about running little boy, we sealed off the exit points until EITHER YOU OR THEM ARE DEAD! Have fun!"

The announcer only made Seto even more angry, causing his eyes to nearly catch fire If they could. He swore If it was the last thing he did, he would kill that man a thousand times over for his words alone but that wasn't the time for that now. There was already the horde of the undead from before feasting on the peasents but now a second horde was ripping itself out from the ground. His eyes didn't lie, there was well over thirty walkers now, this was going to be a bit challenging without getting bit or getting his kimono dirtied or damage. Gritting his teeth, Seto unsheathed his Odachi from it's saya on his back and held it in his hands, ready to go on the offensive.

  21. A knight was probably not the right choice but then again if she could remember her nordic history as well valkarie were knights as it were anyways. She let the slide for the moment. It wasn’t like she saw the nod of the head behind her. It wasn’t for her to actually see in her mind. Or at least she was not looking for a nod or anything like that. She was keeping her eyes, ears, and feelings open for everything that might be coming at them. It wasn’t like it was all that lit up down here. She was hoping that they would be able to find Seto at some point. However, that looked like it wasn’t going to be the case. After all, he seemed to be farther ahead of them and that was fine so long as he got out of this alive. If she couldn’t help him she wouldn’t feel right. However, right now there were other things for her to be thinking about.

Goblins were not something to laugh at at least not the way these ones were moving. She took a deep breath and gave a nod when he gave his name and acknowledged her name. She was busy with the ones on the right but something seemed off as the poured into the room and she was looked for the exit. It wasn’t like it would be hard to find it but the problem was the amount of Goblin that were coming out and it seemed like the might be embewed with magic and that was not going to bode well. The became more vicious the lines that came at them. She dodged near effortlessly even though she was carrying such a large weapon in the first place and her attacks were as percise as one could make them when one was still learning to properly use the weapon in their hands. She wasn’t that new but the weapon in it of itself too strength to use it.

When he asked if she had a plan she didn’t look at him but she opened her mouth to answer. ”Can you see through illusions.” She questioned not wanting anyone else to know what she as going to do but she knew that she would need to get him through the illusion she was going to create to get them out of this one. ”I have a plan but its not gonna be easy to get off. The door out of here is on the other side over there. But getting there is the problem with the way these goblins seem to be getting not only stronger but more aggressive as well. I have a sinking feeling ther eis a war monger goblin in here somewhere and that worries me.” It only worried her because war monger goblins were bigger than their minions and she was not in the mood to meet one up close and personal.

A few seconds later a sort of blue light emitted in her aura and slowly she created a ghost sound off to the other side of the room shrouding herself a second later in a bit of darkness the goblins closest to her got a surprise of no head when the spell war off and the other were heading to the other side of the room. She was able to make it towards the center of the room and had gotten the goblins to the other side. But the illusion magic only lasted so long when you used it for ghost sound. She took a deep breath and looked back at the man that was with her as she dodged another goblin who seemed to be just wanting to get over to the other battle. Or rather the other side where it sounded like there was a battle going on to them.

She was happy goblins weren’t exactly the most intelligent creatures. It gave her an opening to get them to the door and then slowly she let it seem like the room was going dark completely and thankfully her magic wasn’t blocked as she got them out the door and then into another tunnel. At least it was a tunnel and the would have time to rest a little bit or at least she hoped. ”Let’s take the tunnel left.” She said softly. She hadn't the time to hear what was going on with Seto and that was probably at the moment for the best.

  22. Despite the amount of energy the noirette was pouring into staving off the little goblin horde, he still had enough to vaporize a few of them every so often. Th problem however wasn't his inability to ill them but rather the fact that they kept coming. His question to Ayame seemed to get lost in the sounds of battle, or so he thought. The silver haired lass acknowledged his question with one of her own.

    "Can you see through illusions?"

Surprisingly enough, while he hadn't mastered it, Oikawa had a spell he could use to help mitigate the effects of illusions. "Aye, just give me a moment," he responded. Her plan seemed to revolve around distracting the goblins and heading to the other side where the exiting door laid. Echoing her sentiments of not wanting to meet a goblin warmonger up close, Oikawa prepared the spell of his own immediately. Chanting the incantation quietly, his crimson eyes flickered and glowed. "Ready," he declared. Soon after, the room began to glow a soft blue before shrouding their entire field of vision. Suddenly the goblins begin following the sounds of battle. Trudging behind one another, unable to see the ruse the girl had produced. His gaze pierced through the veil and allowed him to follow Ayame to the end of the room and push through the door.

Just as they exited, the room fell pitch black before revealing all the goblins huddled up fight amongst each other. The door quickly slammed shut behind them, leaving them two options.

    Left and right.

However the decision was quickly decided as Ayame gestured for them to go left. Nodding, Oikawa quickly followed. "You lead the way madame, I just want out." This in fact was the truth. Nothing more or less to it. However, Oikawa was curious about one thing. "So where are you from Ayame? And who is this Ebony Du-"

He stopped as talking as soon as fog began to fill the tunnel. Peering out, Oikawa made out tiny stone like objects protruding from the ground ahead. Stalagmites? He wondered. But as they neared the mouth of the tunnel, he quickly realized they weren't stalagmites. "Tombstones?" he asked aloud.

The fog began to disperse just as the overhead voice sparked to life again.

"HOHOHO LOOK AT THIS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! It seemed The Ebony Duke is full of surprises! We thought he was dealing with those pesky hounds but look! Our Eyes don't deceive us, He only got passed the Hounds unseen but now he's in the Hallow Crypt with our favorite creatures! Have fun!"

Oikawa glanced over to Ayame just as the tunnel behind them seemingly sealed itself shut. "Good news," chimed the mage; "We know you're friend is within the vicinity. The bad news, is we still don't know his exact whereabouts and-"

"WHAT IS THIS?" cackled the overhead voice. "It would seem as though our Ebony Duke may have help. Too bad though. While your friend attempts to survive the massive hordes closing in on him, you two troublesome brats will have to deal with something I hadn't planned to use today HAHAHA. Please everyone give our visitors a round of applause, they have been blessed with combating a personal favorite of mine. UNLEASH THE ROTTING GOBLIN WARMONGER!!! Oh less not forget, that magic has been stripped in this area, HOHOHO have fun kiddos!"

Fear was not something that Oikawa was easily overcome with, but if what the announcer said was true, the mage would be simply useless against this rotting warmonger goblin. Glancing to Ayame, he prodded. "Have a plan for this? Because I'm extremely useless without my magic." The earth rattled beneath. Shaking and causing tombstones to crumble in its wake. The smell of rotting flesh infesting their noses as glowing red eyes pierced the darkened area. "We need to think of something quick, or where gonna be in our own grave soon enough."

  23. He could feel the intensity in the air, it was so damm thick he could cut through it with his own blade, that was not a good sign. No matter how many ways he looked at this situation, it wasn't going to be easy no matter how many ways he sliced it. His eye's didn't decieve him, with countless amounts of the undead erupting out of the ground, it was almost double the amount it was from before. It seemed the odds were stacked against him once again....just as he liked it, now it would be a worthy challenge as far as he was concerned and If contiuned the way it did, he was sure this would only be the first wave.

As the walkers slowly made their advance towards him from the other side of the room with countless more erupting out of the ground, Seto smirked, throwing his left hand behind him aiming towards the back. Unlike the last time firing a energy wave off using arcanamancy, this time he concentrated a fair amount of energy into his left hand until it became so dense, he had no choice but to unleash it behind him. It was no where near as powerful as his last attack but he wasn't trying to assault the walkers infront of him since they were immune to magic. Instead he fired the arcane beam directly behind him towards the wall, immediately forcing the arcane beam smashing directly into the magic barrier, stopping it dead in it's track's but that didn't mean it didn't do anything. As expected, it cancelled the attack but the impact itself caused a shockwave poweful enough to throw him at the enemy and that's Seto's planned on. Using the power of the shockwave, he used it's momentum of the shockwave to throw himself at the horde directly infront of him. Thrusted forward by the shockwave's momentum, Seto ripped through the air at blinding speeds, almost too fast for the human eye to detect. Such speed caused Seto's body to twirl in a three hundred sixty degree circle while mid air as he clunged onto his Odachi's hilt. When the shockwave's momentum got himself within range, Seto unleashed his Odachi, using all the strength he could muster to swing the blade upwards in a diagonal strike while using that same strength to keep it in his hands at all cost.

The ending results was a massive warrior thrown at the enemy horde at lighting speeds, effortlessly his Odachi's blade ripped itself through the horde, slicing through the countless corpses of rotten flesh, bone and skin as he soared through the horde, his blinding speed attack using the momentum of the shockwave combined with his sword took the form of a miniature horizontal tornado smashing right through the horde until the end result a few moments later was him crashing straight into the ground, creating a small crater where he crashed with the dust kicked up. When the dust clouds finally dispersed, Seto stood there in the middle of the crater unscathed serious as ever. Within his body he could feel his blood boiling, this adrenaline rush was something else entirely, he had never felt alive as he had now and he was only getting started, he couldn't wait enough to get in close and personal. The Walkers despite have little to no intelligence were still caught off guard from what had transpired, many of them were still looking in the direction from where he had launched himself from orginaly with only a few looking in his direction towards the crater. Judging by the large amounts of blood and severed limbs laying all over the ground, he must have taken down at least a dozen of these bastards standing in his ways for freedom but he knew the fun was only getting started. Seto spat out some blood from the inside of his mouth as the walkers finally realized what happened, turning their direction back towards him with many of them now falling into the crater head first.

Wasting no time, Seto sprinted straight on at the encoming horde with his Odachi behind being held by both his hands untill he was right on top of them. As soon as he was in range, he swung his Odachi's blade in one powerful swing with his Odachi being thrusted up from his legs and upwards in a powerful upper slash from below, immediately propeling the blade into the nearest walker near him, smashing into it's corpse. Using the momentum created by the Odachi and his strength, he used his Odachi's blade to propel the walker into the air, sending the walker over his head in the opposite direction before crashing into the ground a few feet away. The momentum of the blade brought the Odachi back towards it's master in another powerful upper attack, this time slicing the walker that got too close, tearing the walker clean in half before using the momentum once more to bring the Odachi back to it's master. This time Seto had the Odachi come back to him close in a defensive stance as he kept his Odachi's hilt close to his face while keeping the blade angled forward with his arms parallel, holding the blade, his left foot was positioned backwards with his right foot was extended forwards. He watched patiently as the Walkers slowly made their way towards him, hell bent on making him a snack.

  27. Ayame was more concerned with getting out of this alive and making sure Seto was alive to actually really answer a few of the questions that came. She didn't say anything much until he paused in his words. She would have said something but she didn't think to say now as Oikaawa was looking at objects ahead of them and they had caught her eyes as well. Then she heard the announcer. She looked up and around them trying to find out where these people were watching them from. She wasn't sure if it were camera's or set up like some way of having some sort of seating area all around them. At the thought of that she wanted to hurl. It was like...No she couldn't let that come into her mind right now. She just simply couldn't do that. Another deep breath and clearing of her mind brought her back to the present. She heard the announcer again.

She let out a soft groan. "Not exactly what we wanted now is it." She took a deep breath as she heard the Warmonger coming closer. If it were just a warmonger goblin it would be easy but this one was...It was an undead one. And the Undead always made it so much harder. Then came the no magic in the area. Well thatw as just going to make things even worse. She knew her magic wasn't powerful enough and on top of that though it wasn't considered a magic school. She thought for a moment could she actually use it to save their asses a little bit. No no she didn't have the strength for it. It took her another deep breath and a look at her. Well this was going go be fun. Her mind switched gears now she had someone else to protect and a monster getting closer.

"Do you have any weapons other than your magic?" She questioned softly. And then the monster appeared. She took a deep breath and let everything fall by the way side save for one thing. A fight for her life and that of the one next to her. She moved forward within reach for her Polearm but not within reach of the goblin just yet. She couldn't do anything as the warmonger swung out a rather not nice looked pick axe. She jumped back a bit. This wasn't going to be easy at all what was she really going to do. She kept Oikawa behind her and then she went in for the fight. Missing the pick axe and hitting the beats and jumping back at the overwhelming smell of decay as hits skin was ripped from it. That wasn't pleasant at all. She flipped a switch on yet again and finally everything was all but a blur as she headed into the frey with the giant warmonger.

A few steps in and she was hit but the axe but not so badly that it did much but she could see her health move down and she didn't much like it. She flipped back. It hurt her more than she expected she just prayed it wasn't a poison effect. Slowly she rounded back and a few moments later she moved her partisan into position and she took a decent wack at his head. and though a part was still attacked they were getting close to get it down. She just needed to finish it. It was still living but it was slower it was undead after all but even half losing its head slowed it down as she backed up.
