Open - Thoughts of a Lioness

Many things had happened to say the least both here in game and out of the game. Alia was taking the time to reflect in a tiny little sea village. She was sitting on the beach watching as the sun sparkled on the water in front of her. He purple hair was loosely done up in a half up half down style with a ribbon in it that you didn't see if you were looking at her from the front. Her garb was splayed out properly around her but she had her hands around her knees and they were pulled up to under her chin as she looked out. She was deep in thought. There were so many things to think about Ivalice was still being built but they were bound to have problems. She had missed the game while she was away and most of all she had missed the adventures she had with Seto. She had gotten her Lioness name from him in game. There were so many things that just fell into place when she was around him. It wasn't only in this world either. In the real world there was something about their relationship that just trancended everything and she wasn't sure why or how.

Currently however, she was thinking on the information she had been getting and seeing on some of the message boards that she had been keeping tabs on and on the information she had gotten from Ryosuke when he was able to tell her. She had school work and a mass of other things she needed to get done. She was on the fast track to graduating early but she shook all the real world things out of her head and then she made herself think of nothing but the sea that was in front of her. Hope that was what the sea was going to currently represent for her. Hope for Ivalice and hope for the game of Terrasphere. Of everything that could and would and would not transpire in this world. The real world meant nothing in a way here. It wasn't here and all those worries were washed out to see as it lapped upon the shore line. She smiled as she fully let herself get used to this place once more.

Terrasphere was more than an escape. It was a world of its own creation. It was a world where she could do and be things she never thought possible. Where she had a people that knew her reputation and knew how kind and gentle she could be but how fierce she would protect them. She had a few other people that she needed to meet and understand took. A friend that she had made back at the beginning but had had two false starts and then was finally coming back now. Alia had told her that she would meet her here in this town. It was an easy one to get too once you made it out this way. And she had managed to contact another she had seen during the fight with Azog. She was certain they would fit the bill in taking the oath of House Kurama and keeping it. Even if one of them was not exactly whom anyone would think Alia would use. But even she needed someone to do dirty work that she couldn't be seen doing.

It was here she sat on the beach thinking of them. Thinking of the ways that they would play the game and how all of that would make so much more sense once things started going. She was not opposed to other company right now either as she waited. After all the beach was wonderful today. Everything was good. The weather in terra was perfect.

Using the palm of his hand for his head as a head stand, Seto looked out the window, watching the endless waves from the ocean as he sat quietly in a tea shop. Sipping his tea, he couldn't help but be reminded of past adventures he had when he was a rookie, when life on Terrasphere was simple. Compared to than and now, Seto was now a Duke of essentially a small country, such work caused him to work all throughout the day either through adminstrative duties or field assignments such as these. He still didn't understand why he of all people were asked to gather intelligence here in Dunnstads when there were countless others who could do it but he supposed he couldn't beat the fresh air so to say. Taking another sip from his tea, he couldn't help but sometimes wishing things were simpler when he was a simple monster slayer but he knew he couldn't complain about his duties since he choose to take this position willingly and he swore to himself and to the people Ivalice he would do his upmost to make his dream a reality even at the cost of his life. The thought of anything likes friends or romance or even fun never really ran through his mind, he simply didn't have the time for such trival time and even If he did, he would never be able to commit enough time to such things and that wasn't fair to those so called friends or lovers. It didn't mean he didn't think of having such things, it was the opposite truthfully, wanting such things would make him happy but the needs of the many came before his own, as far as he was concerned, he wasn't allowed happiness.

Putting his empty tea cup down and looking at his reading material on the table with a slightly depressed look on his face due to his current thoughts. Such thoughts caused him to sigh sadly before he heard the footsteps of a person approaching him. Looking up revealed a young woman which almost startled him, almost causing him to tip over out of his chair. "Oh I'm so sorry my lord! I didn't mean to startle you! Seto let out anothe sigh before looking back up at the young burnette in a waitress outfit. With a gesture of his hand, Seto told her it was alright before she spoke up again. "I'm sorry to bother you, your lordship. I wanted to ask If you wanted more tea but I've been asked to inform that one of your retainers is here in the village on the beach. I do not know the person's name but it is a woman with purple hair? I'm sorry, that's all I know!." Seto eyed the woman out of curosity"Is that so? Hmm..." Well he didn't need to know anymore than that, without a doubt that would hve to Alia, who else would it be he thought to himself. The real question he wanted to know was why was she all the way out here? Ivalice is quite the journey from here, perhaps she was visiting some long lost friends or maybe she was doing some quest? Seto couldn't really put a finger on that matter since Alia had a habit of disappearing on him like that, it cetainly wasn't the first time and he knew it wouldn't be the last. The waitress bowed in respect before taking her leave, Seto took a moment to recollect his thoughts before picking himself up and grabbed his reading material. He walked to the counter, paid his bill and left his books at the counter, telling the owner he would be back shortly for his books or his reading material.

He walked through the main street of the village, pass the numerous huts of the villagers. farmers and fishermen before eventually finding himself on the hot sandy beach. With the day being so sunny, warm with a nice breeze going on, he would have thought there would be people on the beach but he figured living next to a beach on a daily basis was nothing special compared to the regular person from the real world. Seto took a few minutes walking down the beach line, taking in the scene while looking for the woman he was told about. Soon enough in the distance, he saw a purple hair woman sitting down on the sand with her knee's up in deep thought, that was definetly Alia, no one else ever did that much thinking on a beach he mused to himself. He took a mental note of her hair being in a pony tail being held in place by a ribbon in a regular summer garb for being on a beach before beginning his approach. Walking slowly from behind her in an effort to not alert her until he was on top of her, he made sure not to step any branches of wood or shells that would make noise in the background. When he made it to her side a few feet away, Seto stared at the endless waves of the oceans, his long pony tail flickered into the wind by the breeze and the loose pieces of his white kimono flickered into the wind as well. He closed his eyes as he joined his hands together under his kimono's long sleeves, he couldn't help but feel better slightly as the winds pushed against his body, cooling him down. Finally from the corner of his right eye while stil staring forward, he finally spoke up in a gentle tone akin to Ryosuke's tone Nellie was used to.

"Do you remember?.........The first time we spent time together so long ago was on a beach similar to this in old Dawngrave......"

Seto closed his eyes

"I miss those times.......when things were simpler back than.......but those times are over.

Seto opened his eyes, tilted his head slightly towards Alia.

"Somehow I'm not surprised I found you here, you have a habit disappearing after alot of things happen. I came here due to a field assignment which is now complete. I have a little time now If you want to spend some time together like the old days unless you want to be alone, I will understand.......Alot happened between us, between you and the world here and what's now been asked of you, I do not blame you for how you feel now, it's not easy by any means.

Alia was deep in thought. She knew she was one of those few who used the beach to think not to enjoy the water or the sun or its warmth or the breeze. But to think and perhaps to escape for a few hours or minutes depending on how long she tolerated the sand. She was thinking about Seto. She was thinking about his name as the Ebony duke. She was thinking about all the things she wanted to see and do in this world with him. She was glad he was made a Duke. She also worried though. For the people of the Duchy for him. Being a noble was not all it was cracked up to be or at least she assumed. But he took it with pride and with duty. And she was his lady so she would do the same. For honor for dignity and for well the fun of it all. Sure politics was not something she liked. After all real world had taught her that. But she was diplomatic and if she could be seen as the fierce and diplomatic Lioness of Ivalice then she was going to have to do a lot of work on herself and on the minds of others. She was gentle though and the people already knew that.

She was thinking and didn't notice his approach. Much like he wished her not too. She was thinking about how to go about all the information she had been given in such a short time. All the things seen in game and on the forums or everything else for that matter. So much on her mind and the ocean waves lapping on the beach. It seemed to melt her worries really. So when she finally realized he was standing next to her and he finally spoke she looked up at him. Her eyes sparkled at seeing him. Seto whom she had spent time on the beach with before and she missed those days. The early days. Seto who she'd slept a night in a fox whole with. Seto was the one thing that kept her coming back even when she had to disappear. even when she played her disappearing acts. All she wanted to do was make sure she could share this world with him.

As luck would have it. In the real world she was sharing part of it with his real world counterpart as well. She stood up brushing herself off watching his pony tail blow in the breeze a little bit. Taking him in his kimono and then the calm that the beach provided. There was no one here today. There wasn't anyone trying to make some lewd remark or anything like that just the two of them. As they had been and yet in new roles now. She looked up at him and she wasn't sure what over took her. She moved closer to him. She didn't say a word at least not at first. She moved to reach just the right height and she planted a kiss on his lips soft and gentle as she pulled away.

"I've very much like your time like the old days. Sit with me my love." She said gently almost angelically. She smiled a bit. "i'm alright with it all. I just needed some time to formulate how to face things head on with a cool collected head. By more logic then sheer emotion." She looked out towards teh sea but she was blushing thanks to the act of just kissing him. Saying without saying it that she was truly in love with him here. In this world as he was and she wanted to know more of what he could become. But all in all she wanted to be there til the end of this world with him. Til this world finally claimed them.

Though she would likely never admit it. He had her at hello the first day they met.
