Vartock finished his tea at the pub and left hours ago he was now on his way to meet bradwynne. Ayame a kohuko were still in dawngrave and vartock didn't feel like waiting to take care of the pigmen. So he walked himself out of the gates 4 days ago and led a long walk through the southern mountains. 4 days later hes at the meeting area waiting for bradwynne to show up. So far vartock enjoyed his walk looking through the trees listening to the birds but vartock wanted to finish this mission. Vartock waited bradwynne standing in the middle of the road awaiting his arrival. @Bradwynne @Ayame @Kohaku
Kohaku was up in a trer at the side of the road. Vartock had taken the lead on Pigmen hunting with Ayame and he wasnt sure if Lady Alia was going to come but that didnt matter. He had left shortly after Vartock and followed the man at a distance sizing him up and all that. He had to admit that he was interesting. Being in the tree he looked down at the road and around to see if he could get the drop on any ambush that might layy in wait. When nothung came he yawned. Vartock looked like he was waiting. "who we waiting for?" he asked hanging from the tree. Almost looking like a cheshire cat thought he was not of the cat race in this game. He righted himself on the branch and waited. He dudnt much pay attention To the whole briefing if Vartick had told them of the person he was waiting for.
Vartock remained still, he answered kohakus question we are waiting for a friend of mine try not to scare the boy away he doesnt carry a dark heart like yours and mine, hes a good kid someone i could have been if i didnt love dark magic. Vartock remained vigilant though as he continued to speak. Lesson number 1 rookie never underestimate your enemies no matter how skilled you are you can always die and you can always lose, remember that on our mission, also normally id challenge you to a sparring match because thats how i greet other men but i dont have time to kick your sorry excuse for a warriors ass and kill pigmen so im going to make something clear, do everything i tell you exactly the way i tell you if this mission is gonna work we need to be a team and dont worry i will have your back, your being used as a scout and recon if i need you for battle then ill use you for it once bradwynne and ayame show up i will explain everybodies roles and the nature of this mission. This mission is very very important to the duke and his duchess so ill will really need you for without you this mission will fall apart think of yourself as the glue thats holding us together right now. You wanna help save lives and be a hero this is your chance i cant promise you respect from seto but i can promise you my respect if you do this right, fail and well ill kill you with what strength i have left. Kohaku looked down at the man that was leading this little mission. He was well aware of what he was good at and what he was not good at. If he had hinestly wanted to harm the man it would have already happened. He remained silent well the block of muscle called him a rookie and then proceeded to meditate. For a split second he had one of those ideas to actually not be helpful to him amd let him get ambushed there while he meditated. Or just kill him himself. It was only for that split second. Alia had told him to take Vartock with a grain of salt and to follow his orders and since the duchess of ivalice had faith in him he was not going to disappoint. He let the silence fall around them as they waited. He liked the silence more was said in it then one would ever expect. He heard Ayame coming before she got there but he said nothung in greeting. He would speak when spoken too. He moved a few trees and climbed up more to see further down the road. There was more thst just pigmen the needed to worry about. And dince he was scout he might as well act it.
As Bradwynne looked at the coordinates of the area that Vartock specified to be the meeting place, he found himself in some forest in the southern part of Astorea. The ambiance of the forest was different than the last forest that he explored in Brisshal, and it exuded more of danger and killing intent. Maybe it was because it was an advanced area where monsters of greater power spawn within its environs. And so Bradwynne was advancing slowly towards the meeting place, right hand on the left waist where his katana, which he named Yukimaru due to its fittings of light blue and white, was mounted, the hand positioning towards the tsuka of the sword such that he could grasp it in any sign of danger, the left hand firmly holding the saya and the thumb near the tsuba so that the katana could be drawn efficiently. As he walked he firmly surveyed his surroundings so that he would not be caught unawares should an enemy would approach. And his vigilance was rewarded, as he saw a pigman staring at him as if he was some kind of exotic meat that it desired to eat. He then faced the pigman and quickly chanted a spell, his right hand now firmly holding the tsuka of Yukimaru. The pigman then charged at him, and fortunately Bradwynne's chant had finished, and as he drew the katana from its saya, his boots kicked on the ground, and as he charged, it would seem as if his body turned white with some violet streaks bordering his outlines. Mal'akh Art: Lilith The attack connected on the pigman's body, its body became burnt with the mana which Bradwynne released on it, but when the attack ceased, Bradwynne was nowhere to be found. He then reappeared, chanting again the same Hebrew spell as he positioned his body and his sword for another attack. He lowered his center of gravity, and the sword moved back from his body. The sword turned sky-blue, and then the sword moved upwards, connecting on the pigman and flinging it into the air. Sword Flip As the movement of the sword had almost ceased, the chant became complete, and then another mana clone flung towards the pigman, burning it further. Bradwynne then resurfaced when the pigman reached the apex of its flight, and then, with an immense force on his arm, dealt the pigman another slash, As Bradwynne dealt the slash, he let his body spin due to the momentum of the slash, dealing slash after slash on the poor pigman, until the momentum stopped. But Bradwynne had another attack to perform, as he was chanting a Hebrew phrase while he was spinning. When his momentum stopped, the chant was finished soon after, and then Bradwynne stretched his hands towards the pigman, delivering the final blow and to break his fall. Mal'akh Art: Ariel Two lion heads then sprung from his arms towards the pigman, both of them connecting to it, and the pigman was burnt into a crisp due to the mana of the lion heads. The resulting impact slowed Bradwynne's descent to the ground, and he managed to land safely. He then forcefully slashed the katana in the air to remove the blood dripping from it, and then returned the katana to its saya. What could be noticed in his appearance after the battle was there was no blood stuck on his clothes; from the headband of his earmuffs to the tip of his boots there could be seen no red spot. He then sighed as he looked at his energy meter, and then took a small rice cake as he ate it as he went towards the meeting place again, which, fortunately was just nearby. He then waved at Vartock, saying while laughing, "It's nice to meet you again, big shit!"
Vartock remained silent as he awaited for brad to show up, vartock thought he wasnt gonna show. Then through the sounds of the calm winds the whispers of the trees and the chirps of the birds he could hear bradwynne fight pigmen. Brad then attempted to approach vartock sitting on the ground in a meditative state. Till brads voice called out to him and broke his concentration. Vartock stood up, stretched iut his arms then limbered up a bit before turning to brad for a proper greeting, "Still angry about the female projection are we? *vartock chuckles* its good seebyou again kid i never tire of our meetings its always an honor to meet with you the white haired monkey known as kahuko ran off in the trees i didnt exactly get kick his teeth in the way you and i did to each other so still feeling him out, however he is our scout, recon and furthermore the glue in the group. Vartock rolled his eyes in annoyance but his gace remained blank as he spoke his stern voice. We are waiting for my lady to show up when you greet her treat her with proper respect she doesnt take kindly to arrogance or ignorance but plainly just be yourself brad and im sure youll get along fine, her name is ayame, she'll be here soon if shes not here already. Vartock remained emotionless and vigilent to the area, focused on everything around him. Now you know the hunt you know our enemy you toom them down with ease im proud but that was just a tiny party listen to everything i have to say we may all return unscathed. Brad this the entire area on the astorea pigmen camp locations both north and south have been taken care of so far so good but east and west could get tricky, Vartock pulls out the map and shows it to bradwynne. We are in the middle here and east moves that way we will take east first tjen west but the nature of this mission is gonna get difficult which is why i need your area of expertise you can heal and you can fight im mainly in need of you for support same as kahuko he scouts the camp comes back with recon whole area numbers arenas sex slaves and anything else is just a bonus once we know how many then we strike our plan will be ayame and i we need distractions frim the main pigmen guards but i cant have you killing them you and kahuko need to immobolize them and shackle them in chains, their will have plenty we are gonna capture them the ones in camp raping slaves will die the ones watching will be captured the killing is where ayame and i come in freeing slaves will be mine and ayames job your job is to simply help kahuko capture the pigmen and not let any escape if any try kill them dead seto needs these pigmen for unexplainable reasons. If ayame, kahuko become injured your job is to heal use no magic other than stuns and healing during this battle. Same mission plan on the west side we take both of these camps down we end the main pigmen army which the rest of the random wild pigmen will die without direct guidance from the main tribes which means they'll no longer be a threat. Now i must warn you these pigmen are disgustingly viscous creatures if i didnt have such enormous respect for the duke id kill them all where they stand but seto needs them captured we show up back where we are from and he will allow you to join our cause but for this you must yourself to so far youve past every test i gave you this is your last one. Once ayame shows up we will head out. Vartock finished explaining the nature of the mission as he leaned back against the tall oak waiting to hear brads response. Any questions or concerns this mission will be dark And grim dont let it break you remember youve been through worse your a soldier now. You fought war you know what needs to be done. @Ayame
Ayame had in part made her way up as Kohaku had noticed before the Bard had made hus presence known but she was standing off to the side saying nothing. So when she was intoduced she came upon them. "already here." she said with a smile. She didnt need to say anything else for the second as she looked at the bard. "pleasure to meet you." she said to their bard. An interesting choice and she liked it. She already knew Kohaku was off being himself but that he was close by enough to hear them and be right back to the to greet as well. Remaining silent as Vartock spoke she listened getting the idea of what all of them were capable of. The Pigmen were no joke and what the did was appalling and well she didnt really need to voice her opinion on it now did she she waited and simply nodded to instructions. She wasnt about to ignore their leader after all they had kept eachother alive at least. She knew her job and she was pretty sure that Kohaku knew his. He was the rogue and he was indeed good at it. She waited for someo ne to say anything as she waited to move towards the first aide of business. To capture would not be easy and she wondered exactly what the two would be able to do. Getting the shackles to donit would not be easy either. No matter tjey had a healer at least this time and ayame wouldnt hopefully have to bandage wounds like last time.
Vartock turned around immediately after hearimg ayames voice and says bout time you showed up. Dont fall behind rookie or ill have to be your superman this time, come save you just like you did me. Before she could react though vartock kissed her on the forehead and whispered in her ear stay close to me. He looked at her emotionless but he knew ayame could tell he was concerned for her safety. This time we do it together back to back no more of this lone wolf bullshit you have me im going to protect you no matter what the odds or my enemy thank you for coming with me, Vartock sounding sincere in his words for once but only towards her as soon as he started talking to the general crowd his voices returned stern and dickish as usual. Alright everyone knows their missions lets move out stay close stay vigilant stay safe watch each others backs out here. Vartock grabbed ayames hand and walked off with her like a school yard couple not that ayame could do much vartock being as bulky as he is fighting his affection at this point would be pointless. Vartock wasnt gonna hold her hand forever he wanted to let her know he was with her no matter who was around or what theu were doing. Ayame was vartocks and he wanted to show her that, nonetheless vartock and ayame walked ahead kahuko scouting ahead bradwynne kinda just strolling side by side with them the sun rising it was bright and early morning perfect time to scout the air cold and the grounds frosted with ice. Vartock,ayame, and bradwynne came accross the main trail 30 yards out as vartock signaled his hands to kahuko to begin scouting as vartock snuck into a tree with ayame and brad hiding in a bush. Now they were just waiting for kahuko to return with slave and pigmen numbers and if it was arena free or if there was more this time.
