Private - Moment of Silence
Discussion in 'Brisshal' started by Ilya, Dec 15, 2017.
1. imgThe normal day of the grass hills in Brisshal was interrupted as the sky had become cascaded by large black clouds before the light drizzle had begun. Ilya had found herself in Brisshal all too often, which was no strange feat. She knew each hill as if it were the back of her hand, yet now there she was. Ducking around for cover, making a beeline for the canopy of trees nearby. For the first time since Ilya had gone to Brisshal, there was a storm. These storms in game are more naturally violent than those in real life... Without much time having been spent, Ilya had managed to make it to the trees, flying past each one, till she resided at a tree of twins. There seemed to be a small overhanging as the two trees connected in the air. She stood underneath this very twin branch, as she examined her surroundings. The rain is being blockaded by not only the leaves but this blessed twin tree... Not knowing how to react to her given situation, she looked down at her dress. Due to it being of a white material, it was a bit see through. Ilya's eye widened as she covered her chest with one arm and her bottom half with the other, not knowing what to do next, she looked around for anything to clothe her see through dress, which had resulted in her skin being shone through.

Noticing that her butt could still probably be seen, she leaned against one of the two trees.

2. While Ashnor didn't mind a nice, light sprinkling of rain now and then, this was far too much. It seemed as if the very heavens had just opened up, with the speed at which the rain picked up. Ashnor had been minding his own business while traveling over to a nearby town, but now he could barely see three yards ahead of him. Luckily, this road ran nearby to the forest's edge, and it wouldn't take long to get there, provided he didn't slip in the downfall. Once Ashnor made it closer to the tree line, he thought he could make out the shape of two trees that had grown into each other through the mist. What a perfect little place from this god forsaken rain.

Apparently the tree line had looked a lot closer than it was, because after running all way there, he was a bit out of breath to be honest. As he leaned on tree from the relative safety that was the overhang, Ashnor put his hands on his knees and brought in ragged breaths. Feeling a bit better, Ashnor raised his head, and was met with the sight of a girl, her deep red hair looked soaked, along with what might have been a white dress before, but now was quite translucent, revea- "Oh my gosh, i'm so sorry" he yells, trying to make his voice heard over the rain, and quickly turns his head away from the girl, "I didn't realize you were there, a-and..."

3. imgThe burning red gaze kept sweeping the area, taking note of the rather small leaves being pelted on by the unforgiving downfall of rain. The clear and soft voice that bounded through the air to be merely cut off by the loud cries of the clouds as thunder rumbled and lightning crackled, the very small voice seeming to be that of a prayer. "May we pray to the Goddess Uene that she may bless us with her mercy." The hands of the red eyed girl were closed together, in a simple symbol of prayer. Without much thinking, the eyes of the girl were closed before they opened. Covering her body once more, the beady eyes watched as a man ran towards the very trees she leaned against. Her expression narrowed lightly before she continued to watch the man.

Realizing that at last he had finally noticed her, Ilya's ears flicked, "It is whatever. Not like we can do much with this rain...It is all in Uene's hands. The fact that she let it rain may be a blessing. However the fact that both of us were caught in it is a curse. Knew it would happen sooner or later." Shifting lightly she continued to stare into his soul, "Do you have anything I can cover myself with?" Despite her dress being see-through, Ilya was quite calm with the events that occurred at hand.

4. Ashnor strained his ears, in hopes of being able to hear the girl - who he realized now had both cat ears and a tail - over a clap of thunder that boomed right as she spoke. He wasn't able to hear much of what she said, just stuff about someone named Uene, along with something blessings and curses. Luckily he did hear her ask for something to cover herself with, for she said that after the thunder had sounded. Still a bit flustered from seeing this girl almost naked, Ashnor attempted to take his jacket off for her to wear.

“Uhh, here you can use my jacket to cover yourself, ok? It's a bit soaked, but well, I suppose you are too.” Ashnor managed a small, awkward laugh at this and moved closer to hand her the jacket. He couldn't believe his luck, first he gets soaked by a huge rain storm that seemed to come from nowhere, and now he managed to stumble upon someone at a very embarrassing time. After about a minute, Ashnor turned around to look at the girl, assuming that it had been enough time and that she had put on the jacket by now. The way she looked at him made him quite nervous, the she seemed to just be able stare right through him. “Sooo, umm... what's your name, I’m Ashnor by the way” he held out his hand to shake hers, not that he really expected her to actually do it.

7. Accepting the jacket quite graciously, Ilya wrapped it around her, clasping it around her small body. It was the perfect item to cover her body, "Thank you so much... Although won't you be cold?" The grimace that ran around within the girl caused her own thoughts to pop into her mind. Idiot! It is a soaking wet jacket, it would be better if he was not wearing it than if he was... The words that came from the boy's mouth identified him as Ashnor. Realizing she had not shown quite enough manners for his merciful offering to her, Ilya started to gush words from her mouth.

"Sorry for not introducing myself!" She waited as a crackle of thunder sounded, the sky being lit up by the long jagged blades of the lightning that seemed all too real, "My name is Ilya!" With a smile being brought to her face, Ilya shook his hand, "So what are you doing out here in these parts? Especially with a storm like this one?!" Ilya knew that she herself had no valid reason behind her own visiting of this region, apart from the fact that she had been sitting among the grass hills as usual, during the festive season between the result of the war and the next arc in the story line of Terrasphere, that she was all too excited for.

8. Not like he wasn't cold already from the rain and the season, Ashnor really hoped that the flue wasn't a thing in this game. "No, i think i'll be fine, plus, I'd rather have you covered than me having a jacket on." Ashnor gives the girl an awkward laugh and messes with his dark green hair for a moment while he listens what she has to say. Ashnor watches the sky as lightning arcs across, striking someplace a little bit in the distance, and then the thunder replies in a huge booming sound.

"No need to apologize, I'm just glad I don't have to talk to you while facing the opposite direction." Pulling his hand away from the shake, Ashnor shivers as the cold wind blows through the tree. "It's nice to meet you Ilya, although I wish it could have been under better circumstances than these." He gestures to the raging storm the was happening around them, and to Ilya, wearing his jacket because her clothes were see through when wet. "As for what I'm doing here? I'm pretty new, I only first logged in a few days ago, so I figured I'd stick around in Brisshal for a while before checking out other places in the game." Ashnor didn't actually know anything about the war that had just happened in game, or that there would be more story events to come later on in the next few days.

11. A flick of her ears and a few steps closer to Ashnor was all that changed in Ilya before she began to speak to his comment on sticking in Brisshal. "Everything here is so beautiful. It all feels so real. I myself first went to Dunnstads. It is the most eastern coastal part.. So far.. In Terrasphere. Who knows with that new update coming out soon. I have not been to Druuk Islands yet, but I sure am wanting to.. Pormont is a really nice area too. Lots of monsters though, so one has to be careful. Brisshal is simple enough being where everyone spawns.. But it holds the city Stokbon, which is where literally everything is.. Norforva.. I do not recommend.." Ilya shuddered lightly, thinking back to the quest where she had met Comet.
"Plenty of curses and blood magic there... Astorea is AMAZING. If you plan on going there, I recommend hitting up the Marsery Spring. It is not an actual spring but a river surrounding a tall ancient tree." Now Ilya's thoughts were filled with her adventures with Alric. "All in all this world is amazing and so real! I love it here. You can really go everywhere.."

12. Ashnor, in response to Ilya approaching him, took a few steps away from her, still not comfortable with being too close to her right now. Ashnor stood there with a mostly blank/confused expression on his face as Ilya began rambling on about different locations she had been to, some of which Ashnor remembered from the times he had looked at the map, others places she mentioned didn't ring a bell though. At the part where she mentioned a new update he perked up a bit. So there would be new stuff added in the near future? What a time to join, to have the new stuff added soon after joining, seeing old and new.

Ashnor holds his hands up signal for her to slow down for a second. "I'm just gonna tell you out right, I don't know where quite a few of the places you just said are. And I know I said I was looking forward to seeing new areas, but I didn't expect you to start going on about everywhere all at once." Ashnor lowered his hands so that she could respond to what he said if she wanted to. "Sorry if that seemed a bit rude, I was just a bit startled by all that you were saying, no offense intended." Another rumble of thunder could be heard, though it seemed like the storm might be passing, though who knew when the rain would stop?

15. Ilya's face turned beet red as Ashnor pointed her out for her random mumbling on and on about specific placed, "S-sorry.. I tend to get.. Excited.." She gave a very low bow to Ashnor before stepping back. Finally, she had noticed how uncomfortable he had become. She gripped the edge of her soaking dress that peaked out beneath the wet jacket, half from embarrassment half from the discomfort of being called out. All too familiar with the fact that many people disliked when she spoke about things she enjoyed as she took to rambling about them for quite a long time.

Now, Ilya decided it was time to just merely wait in silence for the storm to pass. She had done enough to embarrass herself and enough to make the man dislike her.. Or so she thought, until he spoke up saying there was no offense meant by his comments. Not replying to his semi-apology, Ilya's eyes started to dart around, unobviously avoiding Ashnor's face.

16. Ashnor, now seeing her reaction to his words as her face seemed to turn a similar shade to her hair and tail, felt bad. he really didn't mean to be rude to her, he was just a bit surprised since she hadn't really been talking all that much until then. Hoping to make her feel a bit better, Ashnor stepped a bit closer to her, making it harder for her to not look at him and raised his hands in an apologetic gesture. "Ilya, if you want to keep talking that's fine by me. I personally don't want to just awkwardly stand around under these trees while we wait for the rain to stop."

Thinking to himself, Ashnor watches Ilya's face as her eyes dart quickly to and fro to look at everything around her, everything except his face, it seemed. "So, what's it like being a cat person in Terrasphere, do you think the people here treat you differently than if you were just a human?" Ashnor asks this, in hopes that she might stop being so embarrassed, and start talking again. He had just met this girl, and he didn't want to start off on the wrong foot. "Oh, what sort of character are you? I chose to be a blacksmith, cause I thought it might be cool to try and be a merchant and do services for the players and NPCs in this game."

17. "Honestly.. Being a cat person has its ups and downs. A few people have refused to serve me.. And have thrown me to the ground and beaten me up on purpose because of it.. But I also tend to get more attraction from specific NPC guys than normal human woman.. Guess they just might be that kinky.." Putting her hand to her chin as her thoughts brought her not only to the man who had tried to rape her but also to the time a man had thrown her to the ground back in Stokbon with the company of Zelrius. Hmm.. Ilya's own thoughts became distracted as she listened to Ashnor's own character type.

"What other skills do you have than Blacksmithing? I myself am a combat, DPS focused character.. At least I like to consider myself as one.. The only mastery I know I am keeping as of right now is my Body Combat. I want to reset my other two to something more.. So I do not just rely on my fists, however powerful they may be.." Glancing down at her gauntlets and fists, Ilya smiled. "Well now, I know someone who can modify and refine my weapons and stuff.." She herself used medium armor, it did not give her as much defense but it gave her more movement than the heavy armor did. Defense was something she would sacrifice for speed. That was her whole character.. She had to be quick..

18. "Oh, well those first two things don't sound good at all. I hope you weren't hurt too badly when they did that." Ashnor frowned, he hadn't realized that even in this world people could and would still be terrible people. So far, everyone he had met had been nice, and friendly. Although, he'd only met about 4 other players so far in the past week or so, he hoped to meet plenty more in the future.

Pulled from his thoughts for Ilya's question about his own masteries, Ashnor pulls up his palm menu, tapping away until he reached the masteries. "Well, other than the base ones like Mobility and Wellness," He holds up his hands to count off the three masteries he had chosen, "I have Blacksmithing - as you know -, Bludgeoning, and Geomancy. I suppose that would make me like, a defensive character, maybe." Ashnor chuckled for a few seconds, "Well, it's always good to make connections, as they say." looking away from Ilya, Ashnor could see that the rain was beginning to let up, it would probably only be a few minutes until it stopped.

19. Ilya had had her fair share of rude and mean people, in fact every time she thought, most encounters had resulted in some sort of interaction with someone rude. She hoped this interaction would not lead to that at all. Chuckling lightly, she tried to boost it up, "Well, I can take any of em on at any given moment." With a swift expression, Ilya slapped her palm on her left gauntlet.

"So blacksmithing, bludgeoning and geomancy. That is a great combination of masteries you have there. Definitely more of a defensive character. Now, when you say defensive, are your goals to become a tank or just a non combat? From what I hear, your tanking skills would not be that high, and neither would your attack... I wonder..." It was at this moment that Ilya's thoughts grew all over the place. She was thinking of what would be best for his type of character.

Sighing lightly at coming to no conclusions she jerked her head back up as it had become slipped downwards. "Connections! Yes. Erhm.. Well now I have you.. My person blacksmith.." She shot a small wink at Ashnor before continuing, "I know Zelrius.. Who has so much gold that he would not mind buying me whatever I can eat or drink... Plus he is a good fighting partner. If I am in the mood to kill shit, he's the dude. Oh! He was also called "Hero" and he murdered the Lunatic Princess, Snefrid. Who the hell came up with that name, I have no idea. But yeah, pretty good material. You and him should meet sometime. I think you guys would grow close."

20. Ashnor thought about it for a moment before replying to Ilya's question, "Hmm, not really either of those really. When I say defensive, I sort of mean like defending other people, using earth magic to make cover for them." Thinking about it a bit more, he adds on "But I also want to be pretty up close with the enemy. Not that I really plan to be in all that much combat."

Ashnor gives makes a face at Ilya as she said he was her "Personal blacksmith" that seemed to say 'I'm not sure about that'. "Well, I cant very well be your 'Personal Blacksmith" as I'm sure plenty of people need blacksmithing services." Ashnor quieted down as she began to talk about this person 'Zelrius', realizing that she was again rambling. He didn't want to interrupt her again though and risk making himself seem really rude. "Hmm, yeah we might become friends if we come across each other at some point."

21. The simple look that Ashnor shot at Ilya caused her to laugh, "Yes, people do need blacksmith services, but what I am saying by that is that you would be my own personal, as in.. You would be the only one who touches my weapons, I would not let anyone but you touch them. Yes you can service other people, but for me you would be the only one." Laughing again at the strange way it had come across, Ilya grew quieter.

Being known as a reputable rambler, Ilya stopped speaking, realizing what she had done. The rain letting up more as time passed. Looking at Ashnor she said one simple thing. "I talk to much. You say things." The sky had become quite clear as the time had passed, the clouds breaking slightly to reveal a shining sun, yet the light drizzle that impacted the world remained. Giving light to small douses of shining leaves here and there. The smell of rain high in the air now, giving Ilya a sigh of relief. I love rain...
