  1. Wind danced the blissful tune of day not seen in quite some time. With the stench of war still lingering within the confines of the nation, a single gust of wind was all that was needed to clear the air. Even if only temporary. Enjoying these short bursts of life was something most players would partake in. At least that is what Oikawa would assume as he darted about a certain four-legged cretin blocking his path. That being said, Oikawa was not one of those players. In fact, he was the opposite. The smell of death, didn't bother him; rather it made him want more. Not so much as to go out and begin slaughtering people, but enough to cause him to engage in the silly semantics of "grinding" to grant a similar effect and quench his rather newfound blood-lust.

Spreading his hands out, a dark swirl began to spark between his palms. Words unknown to him in the real world began to seep from his lips as the evil energy began to channel between himself and the Necroboar. "Ik van placq du death. Ik van placq du death." He muttered the incantation over and over, the boar surprisingly staying stationary as Oikawa completed the link and undoubtedly bringing the end of this creatures life.

Finishing up, the brunette only grinned. Upon the ending of the chant, the channel broke and with every movement the Necroboar produced, a part of the creature would decay and fall off. "Ahh the powerful spell Rot. Effective only against creatures and profound for stopping the truly wicked beasts from moving if you need to flee." Excited, he called on more dark energy. This time however, he fired them off in spurts. The little orbs of darkness crashed with the creature; causing it to decay at rapid pace. A laugh managed to escape him before he suddenly stopped and eyed his surroundings.

"Who's there?" he questioned. Prepared to induce another incantation upon some unlucky soul.

  8. After the events caused by an impending war Comet felt much closer to Astorea's land. She held a proud loyalty to the place where she first began hunting and first explored in-depth. Thus the war had an effect on her rather than before when she only helped out to train and impress others or even just herself. Even with this growing appreciate, however, she continued to find reason to satisfy her greediness when helping out. For the war relief the selfish woman did the same thing. To prove herself for Astorea's people and most of all the pave the path that would lead to her becoming a well-known hero. Nobility also piqued her interests though it was a faraway dream only seen as a childish dream; she wouldn't seek it, but gain helpful knowledge instead. It never hurt to learn more about the lands she traversed, after all.

Comet's boots crunched the grass beneath her feet as she walked among the forest with no real goal in mind. A rarity: her mind as close to peace as it could get while she wasn't completely occupied. Her thoughts focused on the village she'd recently assisted with hunting, what goals to achieve next, and what people may be discovered that day to entertain her usual loneliness. Perhaps this last wish - to meet someone new for the sake of curiosity - wasn't thoroughly thought out before being made. Words reached her ears that were odd yet compelling all the same. Comet inched closer and closer with a learned wariness and soft, almost soundless steps. Her breathing had slowed down to the point where the beating of her heart could be heard more than the wilderness' noise. For some reason an unrest vibrated throughout her body; it warned for her to stay far away from those foreign chants. Blue eyes would soon meet this reason. They widened as her jaw went slack in response to the grotesque site of a rotting boar.

Without much thought to it she couldn't resist the temptation to get as close as possible without making herself known to the potentially dangerous user. Lithe fingers lightly skimmed over a bow sloppily slung over her torso but never grasped the weapon. At least they were able to before a loud crunch beneath her caused a gasp to break the near-silent atmosphere. Then the man, he turned and she quickly jumped to her foot to stand at full height - hopefully avoiding the other's suspicion. "Just an innocent bystander, yknow, enjoying the scenery and all," she replied more awkwardly than hoped as compared to her often calm demeanor. Straightening her posture and fixing the fit of her skimpy attire Comet waved before flashing her pearly whites in a friendly smile. "You did... that?" the pink-haired woman swallowed, unable to think of what she'd stumbled upon. "Definitely not my style. I prefer to salvage what I can and get a clean kill. Guess we're different kinds of people, huh?"

  9. Malevolent energy swirled within the open palm of the noirette as he turned to face the voice calling out in innocence. The bow slung so crudely across her back initially caught his attention, however; her words alleviated the notion of danger he thought he was being faced with. Lowering his hand and dissolving the energy he had collected, Oikawa nodded to the pinkette in response to her inquiry regarding the corpse of the boar. "Not my best work but served the job well enough I suppose," he explained as he folded his arms one over the other.

Eyeing the the bow once again, he chuckled. "I suppose as a huntress that makes sense. In which case you'd be absolutely right. Our methods would seem vastly different, but operationally functioning the same no?" The question was in fact rhetorical, but offered no harm in answering. Noting the outfit she wore, the man's crimson orbs passed over her almost dismissing the fact that she was rather tall for woman. Nearly six foot if not at least six feet... Interesting... he mused. Switching from her frame to her sky colored eyes, Oikawa offered an introduction of sorts. "Oikawa Seijuro," he said with a slight bow. "Pleasure to meet you."

As he introduced himself, what little remains of the boar there was left, dissolved into the ground; completing the decaying of the creature and the spell he had put in place. Hmm ten minutes and twenty seconds for a boar. I wonder if I can increase the rate of decay? Spread it further along the creature? Maybe even use it to infect another creature or ...being... he thought as he realizes his gaze was still affixed to the woman before him. "My apologies," he offered. "Staring is rude and give the wrong impression," he admitted. Shit, now it sounds like I'm calling her ugly. "Not that you aren't a looker," he corrected. "Just don't mind me. Instead tell me, what brings you to this neck of the woods?"

  10. "You do this often? How does it work?" she inquired with a tilt of the head. Thin eyebrows quirked in curiosity as observant eyes drifted to the man's hands that'd contained something. She caught it before the two began conversation and assumed to forces behind the decaying boar to be magic. Of course, the masteries dreaded by the pink-haired woman were capable of many unusual feats indeed. Though cursing a corpse into its demise happened to be a view Comet never quite had the luxury of seeing until now. Frankly, whether it sickened her to be interested or if the grotesque image haunting her mind proved to be too much for her already-beaten gut to take, she wasn't positive of. Hoping it to be the latter rather than former the pink-haired woman shrugged in response to the strange man's question. She hadn't been paying much attention; simply staring deeply into the man's eyes - holding something she wanted to run away from yet could hardly help being absorbed by - had taken her senses away from the few moments her thoughts drifted without warning.

"It's nice to meet you too aside from... obvious things. I'm Comet,"
she nodded towards Oikawa rather than hold out a hand to show or returning with a similar motion. It wouldn't feel right to do anything else while in such a situation that sent insecurity running through the veins. A light crimson hue dusted the young woman's cheek but the aura she began to give off - a mastered confidence and openness - as well as a stiff posture distracted her from the deepening blush. A blush of fearing judgement and even more so a blush of not knowing whether he'd find her attractive "enough" or not. The views of others mattered more than her own towards herself; after all, Comet only saw a monster anytime see caught sight of her reflection. Ignoring the less than pleasant exchange ending only seconds ago, she moved on. "I just helped a village with hunting down food. It really gets me to relax. Hunting, that is. I've been about everywhere in Astorea but these parts I'm not so familiar with. I could use some help finding my way home, actually," she paused, sighing deeply before continuing. "What about you? It's fair you share your intentions now, right? Don't tell me you only go around to curse animals and watch as they rot." she teased, playfully grinning while twirling a loose lock of hair.

Comet remained wary behind a seemingly calm and comfortable demeanor, however, never letting her guard down in the middle of nowhere with a clear ability to hex her as he had purely with looks and actions.

  11. The pinkette's interest in the darkest of magical arts poked through the thin veil of awkward silence they had held for the briefest of moments. Her face told a story that words had been able to as Oikawa watched the woman mull the thoughts over in her head. She was torn. It was clear that the feat intrigued her, but much to her own horror she was appalled at the notion of being intrigued. Her questions ended the struggle, if only briefly , as she drew her gaze from the noirette. Her cheeks seemingly flushing at his last comment. Unwavering, the malefic mage answered. "Often? Not really, this is actually a new spell I've been trying. The cast time is rather long and the effect even more so. As far as its mechanics, simply repeat the enchanted words, focus the dark energy within, select a target, and unleash the effect. The game handles the rest for the most part."

Surprisingly, the huntress finally opted to reveal her name. Comet, he repeated mentally. Where the crimson tint once resided in her cheeks, were now replaced with a more reserved, confident, expression. The shyness slipping away from her as she dove into what had brought her to the wooded thicket. Oikawa brows rose in surprise as she detailed the reasoning for venturing this far. Her wariness was warranted when dealing with the dangers of the unknown. Hunting food and resources for others? Quite a noble act. Something award-able in most countries, however, I have no such interest in those things.

Her mentioning of needing to find a way home caught the noirette off guard. "Is it truly such a good idea to inform a stranger that you don't know your way home? Surely if I was of the more malevolent type, that'd be something I'd attempt to take advantage of no?" A sigh escaped him, surely she wasn't too naive? Especially given the caution she's displayed thus far.

"As far as my intentions, as I mentioned earlier, I simply came here to practice magic. I harbor two magics so spending time learning them both has become more of a chore than I had realized and as such I have to dedicate time to each. Though the results can be interesting," he explained with a grin as he gestured to where the boar once stood. His crimson eyes dance over her curious sky-colored orbs. "Perhaps you should take up the mastery. Its a limitless mastery, offering something for those of even the purest intentions." His words rolled off his tongue, the sultry tone wrapped around each word that passed through his lips. "The dark side is rather inviting," he admitted with a grin.

  12. Magic wasn't on Comet's good side for the most part. Simply because she was felt both compelled and confused towards the mysterious force that could conjure nearly anything up. The rotting boar truly had been a displeasing sight to the young woman but the ways behind the power of magic users proved to be rather intriguing for the ever-curious Archer. In video games and virtual reality alike Comet always stuck to psychical weaponry and skills that aided her in greedy pursuits or everyday adventures. Magic took up energy, time, and had to be remembered as well as utilized correctly. Frankly she'd rather care for herself than others anyhow. It seemed the vile workings behind Oikawa's choice pertained to the self-absorbed much more than others Comet had heard of before. Perhaps in the future it'd be an area to explore, she noted, before stiffening in defense of her words. Oikawa hardly criticized the pink-haired woman but she felt obligated to protect every sound that emitted from her mouth no matter how awful they may have been. In the case the situation wasn't bad at all, fortunately. A simple conversation led to a slip of information plucked from her many sentences to point out; She wasn't impressed by the raven-haired man for that.

"I assumed I would be stronger than you," she huffed with a roll of the eyes as arms crossed over her chest. "Not to mention I'm a damn good tracker and hunter. If you tried anything I'd have you under my boot in a second,"
in reaction to the audaciousness of it all, she smirked. Comet felt decently comfortable among their current setting thus her guard had been brought down. But now it was settled around her, and quite obvious too, now that Oikawa brought up the idea. If it had been on his mind who knows what else the man thought about. Especially in the span of their time together thus far. The image of herself rotting from an impending curse sent a shiver down the young woman's side. She planned to turn and leave soon. "Eh, I'm not so interested. I'd rather watch the show than put it on, and stick to my bow. But I'll definitely consider," she paused, watching Oikawa's lips, before turning on her heel. "You've given me a lot to think about. Thank you, Oikawa, but I should be going now. It'll get dark soon plus I still need to find my way... and someone malevolent might take advantage of me then, right?" with a deep chuckle she waved him off and soon disappeared out of his sight without so much of a truly polite departure. Comet shoved the desire to uncover the secrets of magic to the back of the mind, far more occupied with more important matters at the time though it certainly wouldn't escape her anytime soon.
