"Save our energy. Right. Well then..." the woman decided to take the map into her own hands and head straight out of the den and into the next room where the front door was located. Somewhat startled at the door opening so rapidly, the butler made a quick run at Vivian. "Erm, how may I help you ma'am?" The busty chested woman smiled and leaned in towards the Butler, "You can show us to our rooms. We will be staying overnight to a degree, and my friend here would like a rest before we do our investigation." "Quite...Well follow me then. I'll show you to your room." Vivian hinted at the singular noun and looked over her shoulder calling out for Alric, "Let's go, Hubby. This nice man is going to show us to our room~" The butler sighed, sometimes he just hated doing his job. Vivian gave her trademark laugh as the two were now following the old butler of the house. Along the way, she had caught glimpses of what would be expensive family portraits hanging on the wall. The woman mused to herself, "So, Alfred," she said getting the attention of the man servant, "What can you tell us about your Employer? Is he married? Any children? Is it just you two and the other servants? Does he worship any demons as well?" That last question caused the butler to stop dead in his tracks and scoff at the woman, "Hardly. Mr. D'REAGAN is a good man with a good heart. Sadly his wife had passed away some time ago and he was left with no heirs. It is a large estate and he finds himself busy enough doing this and that. I do not think him that kind to consort with Demons as you say." Vivian nodded her head and looked back at Alric, slowing her pace to meet the boys. She had leaned towards him, "Ten gold pieces says this D'REAGAN worships a demon and that is why this place is haunted." She nodded and walked back in step quickening her pace as they stopped at the room. "Your room, Sir and Madam. You are free to look as you like, there will be of course locked rooms not for your viewing pleasure of course. That is to say Mr. D'REAGAN's room as well as mine and the other maids in this house are locked. If you should need anything else, you may find me down stairs." He gave them a mild bow and left them to their own. The woman smiled sincerely and opened the door to a lavish and well taken care of guest room. A large bed in the middle, a vanity mirror and an overall comfy looking bedroom. The woman took a small look inside and shook her head, "One bed. Don't worry. I doubt we'll be using it anyways. My guesses are that we will have this ghost problem taken care of before the next day hits. If you are feeling tired though, you can rest up. I'm going to take a look around the Manor some more and mark the places of interest."
...And like that she was gone. Honestly, he couldn't tell what thoughts went through that woman's mind. Aside from the obvious and unmentionable ones. Still, she did bring up some interesting points on the way to their room. Given what they found earlier this whole mess could very well be because of some ritual gone awry on the property. Though that also lead the boy to believe the odds of Mr. D’Reagan himself being behind the hauntings to be low at best. The man would have to be deranged to put a curse on his own home and actively invite people to investigate afterward. Well he might as well keep his word. Moving over to the single bed in the guest room he plopped down face up and closed his eyes; the mattress swallowed his body slowly as gravity cradled him in its soft embrace. Honestly, it felt strange for Alric to be on his own now. In a way Vivian’s clinging was more comforting than he imagined it would have been before taking this job and for her to not be here now… Ugh, what was he thinking?! They hadn't even known each other twenty-four hours and he was acting like they were friends! She was just a strange woman who followed him from a bar. Nothing more and nothing less. If she wanted to walk around weirdo mansion by herself Alric wasn't going to stop her. “Yeah, let her do what she wants.” He mumbled. *** Sleep wasn't coming, but time still passed. Seconds turned to minutes and minutes to hours; all the while his bed had become a lot less comfy since the lonely atmosphere in the room had intensified. How much longer was she going to take? It should have been impossible to get lost with the map she took. Panic was starting to set in. It was almost time for them to start. Where was she? No, everything would be fine. If he just waited here Vivian would be back. That's what he thought anyway. Then the room turned black. The candle that worked so hard at warding off the darkness was extinguished, causing Alric to nearly crack his skull on the bed frame as he hit the floor. Okay, it was definitely time to leave! He gathered himself up and cracked the door to the room open, peeking into the still lit hallway. With a sigh of relief he stepped out, only to be greeted with instant regret and… [Click Here to get Spooked]
Vivian had stood there with her arms wrapped around her body watching Alric just stand there spacing out. Her brows furrowed and started to lean in towards him, "Hey! You sleep walking or something?" Her finger moved out to poke him in the side of his rib cage. After his little scene, Vivian tilted her head and sighed briefly, "They have a killer kitchen and the people are pretty nice. They made me a sandwich and I've been talking to them most of the time. So! Are you ready to investigate?" Vivian did not set out as she had intended to do. Instead, she asked 'Alfred' where the kitchen was and she was lead there and she got something to eat and did nothing more with her time. The others seemed distant on the talks about the place being haunted. Some of them heard whispers, others heard a crazy woman laughing with a disembodied voice, others had heard nothing. Usually places like this just had a hard time of 'settling.' The foundation could be off, metal pipes from the cooling system could be making noises in the walls. There was so many things that could make this place feel haunted but not actually be any of that stuff. The witchy woman had wondered if anything actually interesting would happen this night. Sleeping with the boy was out of the question, he was too young and she was really only teasing him earlier at the bar. Because when it came down to it, that's what she was. A tease. Lips parted into an open smile, her look gazing at the Tank as he stood there half looking at her and half not. Like he was looking past here in something in the distance. Vivian was not a girl that could be scared easily. Especially in a video games like this. Things were just a trickery of the eye, besides, many people had found herself to be scary at times. The unknown usually got under people's skin, giving them a sense of not being able to control something they should. The woman shrugged her shoulder at these thoughts and leaned into Alric one more, her heavy chest rubbing into his arm as she looked at him with a fawning look. "Hey~ cut it out, there is nothing there. Gah. I'm not gonna have to hold your hand through this evening, am I? Come on. We got some investigative work to do." The woman pushed the map back into his hands to snap him out of his dream like state. She gave him a rather interesting look with her eyes almost gleaming at him, "I get it. You just woke up from a wet dream, huh?"
