  1. Honeyhome Village. The first town that could be encountered by a player that had just been created. Whenever you see an oddity within the population, wearing something like some characters in historical shows, games, and animated series, you could be sure that it was a player character. And that was the case for one person who was walking around the marketplace in the village, wearing a scarf and back skirt of a forest green color and a sprouted wooden staff mounted on his back like someone would expect from a elf or fairy. But everything else about his character would be unexpected of a velten faerin, although he could cast magic. And that would be proven when he went to a territory that should be dominated by mostly brutes and high-statured people: the blacksmith market.

The faint sound of metal hitting metal could be heard within the vicinity of the area, and various blades, polearms, armor and the like could be seen within the vicinity of the person. There could also be found traders of various kinds of ore for the blacksmiths to work with, various species of wood with which to construct the handles of the weapons, various types of leather to wrap the handles with or to construct the scabbards with, and various other items for any other blacksmithing needs. There are shops which specialized on weapons or armor only, there are those which sell only scabbards, and some which would sell all of those items. Most shops specialized on Western weaponry, but there were oddballs in the community that sold Eastern weapons and armor, and most of them could be said to be also players like him. In every sense, this is like a blacksmith's and weapon collector's paradise, and that was the thought of the person who entered here as he stared at every display of the shop. But there was one thing that bothered him while window-shopping in this place.

One time a tall yladian tripped over him, and when that person got up, said insulting words at him, saying that the person had not seen him and so he tripped over. He then wondered, "Was I really too short or anything?" as he continued his shopping. He then decided to shop for ore in here so that he could have a rough estimate of how much the iron would cost here. He then approached one of those shops which sold ore, but when he thought he could reach the ore display due to its apparent height, when he finally approached the display, he found that he could not even reach the display shelf, let alone the ore that was within it. Even when he stood on his toes and stretched his arms to reach the shelf, he could not reach it.

"Maybe I was too short after all," he thought as he stopped standing on his toes and started to search for something that he could stand on.

  2. Ahhh Honeyhome Village. The small quaint town for starting adventurers and the peaceful villagers that did not mind the appearance of strangers in their lands. Alex remembered when she'd first arrived int eh village wearing a rusty helmet from a fallen knight and bits of wood and rope for armor. Her shield had been part of a rotted log, and she'd been happy then.

She was happy now too, visiting this place as a protector who offered their services, rather than being a fresh new face that needed protecting. Of course a protector without the proper supplies was only so useful and so she had needed to stock up on things first. At least that was how this shopping venture had started out. However the avid rock-collector had wound up in the materials emporium for entirely not-supply related reasons. A rude Yladian had tried to shove past Alex on her way into this store, only to bash his shin on of the many plates of armor that covered Alex entirely.

“You're pardoned, I forgive you.” Alex had said to the irate person as they tried to blame her for them not knowing how to watch where they put their gangly legs when they walked. It had been enough to drive them speechless and Alex had continued on inside the store where she could peruse ore and stones to her heart's content.

This store in particular had been problematic in the past. The store owner had put shelves too high to prevent troublesome children from pilfering their wares, and faerin were so rare a sight these days that they didn't seem to be to bothered with catering to their needs as well. Alex had tried talking sense into him in the past on many occasions, but it had been no use yet.

Today she was surprised to see that she would not be the only person inconvenienced by the store's design however. Another faerin seemed to be examining wares as well, or at least trying to. Poor guy didn't seem to know how to get around the place just yet. Alex shook her head inside her helmet with bemusement as they struggled, before going up beside her fellow faerin and clearing her throat within her helmet to try to get their attention.

“Must be your first time here.” Alex observed. Her voice reverberated inside her helmet in such a way that no clues about the person within it could be derived from the sound. “Don't worry you'll get the hang of things. It helps if you bring something to stand on.” As Alex explained, she removed her shield and set it at an angle against the display bin next to the one the stranger had been trying to look inside. She stepped on her slanted shield and then grabbed the edge of the bin to make sure she didn't slide back down it as she looked over the stones inside. Nothing she was after here, but there were more places in the store to look.

“This town isn't exactly designed with other faerin in mind, so there are some tricks you learn to help you get around.” Alex explained as she stepped off her shield and then offered it towards the stranger. “You can use this to look up there like I did if you want. Or I could just give you a boost.”
