  1. They were all speaking in a dizzying chorus now. Those who had been quiet before were finally speaking up and joining their discussion. She nodded along to some points, sighed and scowled at the hint of others, but it was mostly baseless ideas. Half-gathered thoughts and worse off suspicions. They still had no proof beyond their words. Speaking of. "Thanks for the vote of 'confidence.' I'd be flattered if not for the-" She glanced over at the noose looming over them all. Still hungry. Still demanding. "Ugh, that."

She turned back at @Magdalyn's words with wide eyes. "Holy shit, I'm sorry? That's so rude! Didn't even try to exchange names, shit. To those who don't know me- the name's Gwyn ap Herne, though you know that by now I imagine. If you're ever in need of a keen bow, I'm your ranger. Uh, outside of this mess when I actually have it." She waved lightly. "Wish meeting was under better circumstances, but I've been in TS long enough to realize they don't get much better." The blonde shrugged helplessly at that.

It was better than the siege. Better than the prison. This was lynching friends and strangers, but... there weren't hundreds of citizens wrapped up in the results. At least, she didn't think so?

"So everyone, see what fate has in store for us? Or take it into our own hands? I'll hold my vote for a tie-break if that's the way we go."

  3. Megan looked around her seeing the lack of decisions being made and it seemed that they were likely doomed to the whims of whatever malevolent force was controlling things to happen. "Pfffft...." Megan whined as she eyed each in turn, throwing suspicious glances at @Alkaid Zexis who had largely remained silent, and @Comet for an unknown reason, before setting her gaze at the large amazonian woman named @Magdalyn. With a smile Megan approached the larger girl, leaning in close, and whispering something to her, "Whisper whisper whisper."

  4. (note: whispering via PM is not allowed below is what Megan whispered, whether you heard it or not is up to you)
"You're probably going to be targeted tonight, when right before night falls switch cabins with me, with your ability we need to keep you safe."

  6. Megan grimaced as Comet's vote became obvious, "I was willing to die to prove a point, now its just annoying. Tct, voting for me now makes you just even more suspicious. I vote for Comet."

    Vote: @Comet

  7. Gwyn's words caught her attention. They really had gone without introductions at all! She'd voted for Gwyn because she knew her skills at taking charge in an awkward situation, or so she felt. That, and Gwyn was one of the strongest she knew in this area, or so she was fairly sure. Using the woman's introduction as a methodolgy for her own, she awkwardly began to sputter a rambling attemt of one herself.

"I-I'm Harveste. I'm not a strong person by any means, but... I'm good with plants and animals! A-And I play music in my spare time too. I can sing something to calm people down, or try to, but... F-First I need to...er..." Pausing, she felt her knees begin to wiggle under her.

No one knew the sprite for being good with people- as much as she tried desperately to become such.

"I don't really see Comet's reasons behind her vote, though I suppose after yesterday I shouldn't really be one to talk... But um... While I do think it's suspicious since she didn't really give any background behind her otherwise clear decision..." She glanced at the noose. Somehow, she felt as if the object taunted her very soul, making her wince as a shiver caught her spine.

If she didn't vote now, she wouldn't be able to later in the day. A song that caught her memory played in her mind for a moment, before she took a deep breath. "Part of me wants to give benefit of the doubt, but after yesterday, that'd just be me being a hypocrite... And since I don't really see any input as to why miss... Comet, was it? Er, well, voted as she did... I think this time I'll take Megan's side. It just seems... strange, somehow... And that noose is staring me in the face, mocking me for thinking of running without a word. Yesterday she thought it surely wasn't Megan, so to suddenly change her mind... Well..." Sure, that was what she was doing herself, as she thought about it. But worse case scenario, at least Comet would be getting out of this mess whether she was right or wrong, right?

    Vote: @Comet

  8. Magdalyn shook her head, taking a step away from Megan. “What do you mean?” she demanded. “Why are you talking like you know my role?” How could she? Could any ability allow her to know her role?

“I don’t want to switch cabins with you,” she exclaimed. What if Megan was setting her up to be preyed upon? That was the most suspicious thing she had seen since they appeared there.

    Vote: Megan
(Sorry for the lack of formatting!)

  9. Megan's face sank into her palm as Magdalyn spoke, the sun was setting, time was limited and Megan knew it. The best she could do was shrug and say, "Well if I live through the night I can explain in the morning." She shook her head, "It should be pretty obvious though, which is why I said what I said, and offered what I did."

  10. As people started voting, once again, Seigi shook her head. "FOOLS!" She cried out once again before standing protective in front of Megan Tritor. "All of you! I just told you, the Witch Girl is innocent! Yet you still keep going with this madness?!" Seigi herself swore to not participate in voting to kill someone again but... wasn't that the same as killing somebody? Doing nothing? Wasn't there another choice? "I suppose I haven't introduced myself properly, then? I am Seigi Ling Ling, Hero of Justice. Sunset Sage of the Seven Strikes." Saying this herself for once, it truly sounded awesome. "And let it be known that I swore upon myself to NEVER lie."

  11. "Here we go again," she thought. Accurate. That'd do as a starter just fine then. "Here we go again."

The vote was tied up a second day in a row and Gwyn heaved a heavy breath. Her eyes switched between Megan and Comet before she skimmed over the group. "Alright, I'm going to work this out point by point before I make a decision. So stay with me here, alright?"

"@Comet first then. So far she's said nothing out of place. A medium between talking and staying quiet. Twice she's opted to hold the peace and not vote someone to hang. Keep in mind, we still have no idea what happens should we not. I agree not giving a reason is... odd, but honestly? Anything is suspicious at this point."

"As for @Megan Tritor, she's done nothing but stir up drama between us all and was the first to break the chain of agreements not to vote to see what happens. Whether it's boredom or her 'role,' killing seems to have some kind of reward for her. @Magdalyn, I don't think it's suspicious for her to offer to switch cabins if she thinks you're something special in the game, though it's a moot point to go whispering it in a crowd. Especially when @Ueno Mizuki and I just told everyone we have sharper hearing due to our masteries and race. Sadly, not much of a boon at night or this conversation wouldn't be happening and we'd all be back to drinking at the festival."

The ranger rolled her head, neck cracking and relieving some of the physical tensions. It did nothing for the weight in the air around them as death was decided in their shitty, shared game. One hell of a fever dream, wasn't it? At this point, she almost wanted Megan dead if only to not have to listen to her anymore, but... surely the villain wouldn't paint such a target on her back? There was an off feeling to her, but Gwyn passed over her.

"I stand by what I said before. I do, ugh, believe the witch isn't a monster. Least not the one killing us at night. I'm sorry, Comet. I really am, but..." she shook her head, "I hope we're right and that forgiveness won't be required."

    Vote: @Comet

  12. Mizuki wasn't sure what to do next. All she knew was that the situation was getting on her nerves. A lot. The vial had seemed like a valuable clue, but since she couldn't actually tell what had been inside there wasn't a lot she could do with it. The smell was unlike anything she'd smelled before, and somehow someone had managed to use the contents without the scent lingering on them, which sounded a lot like some kind of magic was used to prevent the contents giving one away... And if the actual clues were being hidden to that extent how was Mizuki supposed to get anywhere?

"It's never certain if the one who's acting up is doing it to get themselves lynched or not." Jesters really were an annoying part of the game. For now Mizuki couldn't say whether @Megan Tritor was a Jester or not, because as was already mentioned the girl could just as easily just be really hammy by nature... or a killer trying to draw suspicion away from herself by acting so openly that nobody would suspect her to be so willing to draw attention to herself if she really was the killer.

And then @Seigi began to get really loud as well, this one shouting that they were all fools and that her reason for knowing who was the killer and who wasn't was that she was the protagonist. Mizuki didn't even know what to say to that, since it didn't even sound like something you could argue for or against. She gritted her teeth at the fact that she was once again being accused of stupidity though. "I WAS trying to figure out what would happen if we DIDN'T go along with the rules. Don't call me a fool if someone else decided it wasn't worth trying." First Megan claimed she wasn't willing to learn when she was the one responsible for Mizuki's attempts at learning being waylaid, and now she was called a fool for the fact that her attempts at learning had been waylaid.

"You don't need me to vote for someone, since there's no rule saying everyone has to vote." Mizuki still couldn't tell who was a killer and who wasn't, and she didn't feel like supporting any of these people. Yesterday she voted for Megan not because she was confident that Megan was the killer but because she was just getting tired of the yelling. "But yes @Gwyn ap Herne is right that whispering isn't going to do much good with Hunters in the group." She twitched her wolflike ears to demonstrate, folding her arms while generally looking quite disgruntled. "Just get it over with, I'm just waiting for the opportunity to see what breaking the rules would actually do."

    Night 3

You have chosen to kill @Comet.

It wasn't hard. Physically, at least.

Instinct drives you to return to your houses as the sky turns dark. Every day there are less of you than there were before. Maybe this nightmare will be over soon. Maybe... if you offered more...?

    Day 4

Well now. The events of this last night can only be described as a massacre. Perhaps the werewolves grew hungry, not having feasted the previous night. Or perhaps the noose has been growing bored. When you emerge the next morning, it appears that three of your number are no longer with you.

After a bit of examination, however, you find that not everyone has been mauled by a wolf. Oh, surely that was what happened to @Megan Tritor and Savannah Reed. With all the blood and ripped flesh and shattered shards of bone littering their shelters, how could it be anything but? It couldn't have been silent, but you slept the night through without hearing a single thing. Would you have been able to stop this, if you were aware it was happening?

And when you enter the house that used to belong to @Gwyn ap Herne, you find what appears to be a body lying peacefully. A closer look shows the truth: her skin is pale and waxy, the corners of her mouth dripping with bloody froth, her gaze bright, unfocused, vacant.

A single empty vial lies on the ground near the entrance to her home.

Three steps closer to freedom. You're almost there.

You know, in that odd way that dreams just make sense, that a mantle has been passed down in the night. Ueno Mizuki is now your captain, by decree of the late Gwyn. Whether it is an honor or a curse, that is for you to decide.

    -----

OOC reminder: Savannah has not been killed due to any special roles or actions!
The new captain, as chosen by Gwyn, is @Ueno Mizuki

  15. Another night. Another Dream. This time, the bloodied red moon had spoken to Seigi once again. This time, unlike before, there had been blood. Lots of blood - and a single wolf in the form of a giant. It was a Nightmare inside a Nightmare. A prophecy of Seigi's demise.

Yet... the girl awoke to the dawn of the next day. Unharmed. Armed with the knowledge that was supposed to bring Justice to those that were still alive. Justice to those that had suffered through the deaths of others.

"Your Sacrifice shall not be forgotten, oh rightful one." Were the words Seigi whispered to herself upon the discovery of Megan's corpse. She was partly right beginning day one, wasn't she?

"What?!" Utter disbelief, however, upon finding their Leaders corpse. "This wasn't how it was supposed to happen!" Seigi cried out as she looked upon the Caenis. She was... the new one?

Nonetheless, while Seigi still hoped to resolve this without any more deaths, this time, she had quite something to share. "Attention, please!" The small girl cleared her throat. Knowing that Gwyn was a bad person made her death feel way less... worse? It was still terrible though.

"I already told you about my awesome protagonist's powers and all, right? Being the Protagonist and stuff, you know. Well, three time's the charm and it turns out Gwyn was a Werewolf!" Easy as that, wasn't it?! Well, now that Gwyn was dead did it even matter?

"Now... since this is my Nightmare, and I AM a Genius, I am perfectly aware that the dream is trying to break me. BUT LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THIS HERO IS UNBREAKABLE. I might have... cracked... on the first day. Yes, but for those of you who are on the same side OF JUSTICE you should know I would rather rip my tongue out or deny an answer rather than tell a lie!" Seigi nodded a few times as if she just figured out the entire puzzle.

"But since the dream isn't over it means there's more than one werewolf! NOW, WHO COULD IT BE? You see, my awesome protagonist powers only seem to work in the night." That was all Seigi had to say for now.
