Creatures in Brisshal, as compared to those found in Astorea's forestland, had differences that were noticeable to Comet. The Huntress grabbed her bow and arrows with the plan to hunt where new players spawned despite how the beginner area made her feel. She'd purposely skipped it in the first place to avoid the shame of being a newbie with experience that only consisted of holding a controller - not being the controller. Her training had ultimately improved despite less time spent there, but now she was back and couldn't avoid it. The trip around Brisshal with Zelrius and Mags hadn't been all too bad aside from the tension she felt whenever around the blonde male (now broken, fortunately). Thus it was mapped into her brain that clung to information and held onto it for as long as she needed; Traversing the grassy fields with light steps proved to be the easy part. Hunting animals that were far more observant than those she often faced, alongside having little to no information on them via UI. Her arrow missed its target more than enough times to send her anxiety derived from forced perfectionism into overdrive. Comet moved onto a larger animal in trade for the smaller few that'd barely escaped death: deer. They were skittish but her quick movements and even quicker eyes had the advantage over one specifically. It stood alone in the middle of a bright, tall-grassed field in need of serious taming of nature's forces. The pink-haired woman grinned - determination filled to the brim in her gut - before piercing the gentle creature with a selfish arrow. Shuffling out of her place behind dense foliage, Comet strutted over to the deer while pulling her weapon sloppily over the torso. The next process would begin but- "Huh?" she mumbled, head tilting in curiosity while a triumphant grin lazed into a frown of displeasure. There stood a tiny slip of a white-haired girl nearby the deer. "That's my kill," Comet called out from afar while waving toward the dead animal. "Did I take it from you?" @Vanilla
Vanilla trudged on through the endless woods on Brisshal, not nearly as attentive as she had been an hour ago. It’d been at least an hour since she’d entered these woods looking for something to tame, but the only thing she’d come across were a few squirrels, a derpy looking bird, and a rabbit. Something bigger was the goal: like a wolf. Maybe tracking would’ve been a sensible mastery to take. Was that even a valid mastery? She hadn’t a clue, but even so, it wouldn’t be worth doing away with her magic. Teleporting was cool. “Maybe I should’ve just went with that crazy bird,” Vanilla remarked to herself, figuring no one was around to hear her ramblings. “I could teach it to drop rolled up papers on people or something.” Just when she was about to double back and leave the forest beasties for another - potentially warmer - day, a moderately sized brown blob rushed past her, bounding freely across the forest floor. A deer. One who had just bounded out of the thicket and into what seemed to be a large clearing. That, or Vanilla had wandered so far she’d actually traversed the entire forest. Not the powerful wolf-like creature she was looking for, but it’d work. Promptly following the majestic creature, she ran after it and hid in a nearby bush as it paused there to munch on some berries. Now’s her chance. Wading through grass that tickled the bottom of her neck, Vanilla snuck up on the deer. All of a sudden, it was impaled by a ranged projectile and collapsed on the ground: dead before either of them even knew what happened. “Ack,” Vanilla shouted in surprise, recoiling from the disturbing sight! “Wha…” she questioned slowly, before noticing the one responsible. Unlike her, this girl was far taller and definitely wouldn’t be having the trouble of the grass obstructing her view. “YES, you took it from me,” Vanilla claimed indignantly! She looked a bit phased from the sudden, unexpected attack. “Didn’t you see me sneaking up on it?” She didn't seem to realize the irony of that statement. “And what if you’d missed?! I was right there! Grrr…” Vanilla had a pout as she looked up at the tower of a lady. Wow, she was tall. And thin. More like a pencil than a tower, really. “I’ve been looking for something to tame for like an hour now,” Vanilla finally explained, having simmered down a bit. “Why’d you have to kill it anyways? Isn’t there something better for you to attack?”
Standing before the Faerin, the tiniest she'd ever seen, gave the impression that Comet was the one large and in charge. Her towering height compared to the white-haired girl's was almost comical. Almost. The issue at hand had Comet sympathizing slightly, but not enough for her to care about what the Faerin had to say. Life and the world it sits on would move on without the insignificant deer as well as the lovely corpse she pinned with the luck of a deadly arrow. "I don't miss," the young woman defended herself with a light tint of pink dusting her cheeks, both hands on bony hips. No one ever questioned her skill before and admittedly it hit her close to home. Whether the words served as a wake up call or reason to practice and show off more than before would be determined in the near future; this, all because a of raging insecurity that made itself at home deep within. "I need to better myself too, yknow, just like you need to work on your taming skills," she smirked in the girl's direction before bending down to examine the animal's corpse with gentle, lithe fingers that skimmed softly as if the deer could possibly be harmed during its permanent slumber. "I can help you with stalking, hunting, tracking; the good stuff. Only if you want. I'm not sorry about the kill but I am sorry you didn't get a chance. I kinda owe you, huh?" no sort of tone laced her voice though it seemed distracted by admiration of the perfectly place bow plunged into the deer. Comet felt a need to socialize, and also wouldn't ever ruin a chance to make another friend. More so an ally but that title hardly sat well with folk who encountered the pink-haired woman and expected more. "I'm Comet. What about you, little girl? Or at least I hope you're as young as I think. There's a lot of questionable characters in Terrasphere who are much older than I ever would've guessed. It's crazy." she chucked wholeheartedly before pulling up the corners of plush, pink lips into a friendly grin.
