Music was a good middle ground to start on! Luna could talk about music, probably! At least, she thought she could, since she'd gotten along so well Harveste after bonding over their shared tastes in music. And hey, bonus, Angel actually seemed to be a big fan of singing! Maybe she should tell the girl that she was working on learning a song on her guitar in whatever free time she had away from the game? "I-I-I-I t-t-t-think y-you'd have a r-really nice singing v-v-v-voice! I-I-I'd l-love to hear you some d-day!" Maybe it could be a really fun thing? She could play the guitar and Angel could sing for her! That would be actually really amazing! That was before Angel seemed to collapse on herself, thinking that she'd made the afternoon weird, though Luna couldn't really see how she could possibly think that she'd been the one to do that. "D-d-d-don't b-b-b-be sorry! I-I-I'm h-h-honestly liking the w-w-way t-t-today is g-going!" She attempted a bright smile, though it came off as more of just a shy one, placing her hand on her friend's lap in support. She wasn't sure why Angel was just so fixated on the fact that Luna knew that she liked girls. "I-I-I'm n-not s-s-sure w-why you're s-s-so focused on the f-fact that I know you like g-girls, b-but r-r-r-remember that I l-like girls t-too. I-I'm in t-the same b-boat as you, s-sat at the s-same table a-and d-doing s-something that I'd c-c-c-consider a d-date." She smiled, squeezing the girl's knee slightly to try to comfort her as best she could.
Luna was right of course. Ava was having a hard time getting past simple facts like that because she was new to this, and she had had those odd feelings ever since their last meeting that certainly hadn't changed just because Luna had. Ava slowed down and took a deep breath. "You're totally right, Luna," she ran her fingers through her hair in a more 'relieved' sort of way rather than her previous 'nervous' method of messing with her hair. "I'm just kinda new to the weird feelings, you know?" she explained apologetically. It wasn't like she felt that way about every girl she saw. Luna was pretty much the only person she'd had actual feelings for. "Glad you're having fun though~" she brightened up, happy she didn't ruin things when she lost her cool for a moment. "I'm having fun too. It'd be a great date if we'd made it one, honest." she nodded to herself. It was true. She didn't have any personal experience in what a date should be like, but she knew it involved food and hopefully fun. If it went well of course.
It was definitely a relief to hear that she'd actually succeeded in cheering up her friend, who seemed to run her hand through her hair in relief, which Luna couldn't really help but stare at for a moment. Angel had nice hair, it was actually one of her best features both as Ava and as Angel. She blushed, munching on her third slice of pizza in an attempt to finish it rapidly, squeezing the girl's knee once more before letting go. "T-t-t-that's the spirit! Y-y-you look better w-w-with a smile t-t-than with a frown!" She admitted, looking down at her own lap. How did she take things from here? She did almost choke on her pizza slice when Angel mentioned that the afternoon would make a great d-date if they made it one, coughing slightly before swallowing her current mouthful of food. "I-I-I um, I-I d-d-don't mind i-if y-y-you want i-it to b-be a d-date?" Was that what the girl was feeling awkward about? Had Angel been considering it a date in her head but thought that was weird, so she kept quiet? She shrugged, looking around before looking back at the plate. There wasn't a lot of pizza left, but then again, there was always this pizza parlor's secret weapon. "S-s-s-so, d-d-d-do you w-w-want d-d-dessert after t-t-this? I-I-I k-k-know what I-I'd r-r-recommend..."
"Hm?" Ava was genuinely confused now. It seemed like Luna was wanting to turn today into a date but Ava had been pretty sure she was the one who had been thinking that and she'd just been making things awkward for Luna. She was wide-eyed and curious-looking as she watched Luna. She obviously wasn't sure where the conversation had gone after she'd apologized. At least, not with that last offer. "I mean," she squirmed and looked every bit as nervous as Luna generally sounded. "W-we can call it a date. If you want. I just thought like, meeting first was good or whatever." She shrugged. "I've never been on a date before though. Kinda pressury..." she giggled again, not sure what she was saying, or what Luna was expecting. "What's different if we call it a date?" she asked. "I mean, either way I'd share dessert with you. I usually don't have much sugar though so I might get a liiiittle hyper."
"W-w-w-what's d-d-d-d-different?" She wasn't quite so sure how she should answer a question like that, if she even knew what answer she could even give. In truth, she wasn't really sure what made a date different than just getting lunch or dinner with somebody that was your friend. "I-I-I um, I-I'd s-say it depends on h-how you f-f-feel about the other p-person, really. N-n-nothing i-is any d-d-different except the t-t-things you do t-together, s-sometimes." Like couples would kiss and hug and stuff like that, right? That's what her games and some films had led her to believe. She did smile when Angel agreed to dessert though, already mentally selecting their dessert and giggling to herself. Yeah, it'd be quite the way to end their little afternoon dinner, though she doubted they'd manage to finish it. It was probably the largest thing on the dessert menu in the entire pizza parlor. "G-g-great, t-t-there isn't much p-pizza left now anyway!" They'd demolished their shared pizza pretty well and quickly, which was pretty good. "U-um, y-you a-are okay w-with d-dairy right?"
Ava gulped. Stay casual. A 'date' didn't mean they were 'dating' officially as far as Ava understood... did it matter? Maybe it mattered. Ugh, dating was weird. Dating girls was weirder because she felt like she should know how since she was a girl but ugh. This was why she wasn't actually trying to date anyone! "I uh, I know people that date hug and things," she didn't want to say more because it was awkward. "I meant more... today..." She shook her head and went back to the remark about dessert. "There was cheese on the pizza," she pointed out, "So I hope I like dairy!" she teased scooting a little closer to Luna in the seat. It was probably 'close' like two people on a date would sit, right? There was suddenly so much pressure! Why had Ava opened her mouth? She giggled though. "I'm sure I'd love any dessert you did. I pretty much only don't like pickles."
"O-o-o-o-oh r-r-r-right, o-o-of c-c-c-course you meant today. H-h-h-h-how silly of me!" She giggled nervously, finishing off the last slice of pizza she'd decided to have for now, unless another slice was left when Ava decided that she wanted to save room for dessert. Still, how did she talk about how them acknowledging the afternoon as a date and whether or not it would actually change anything? It wasn't like she was an expert on this sort of subject, despite her favored type of games. She gave off a nervous smile when Angel inched a little bit closer to her, feeling more than just a little bit anxious. She felt like she had to impress the girl a little more now that both of them had taken part in such a long discussion about whether or not they were actually on a date with each other, the answer to which was still rather vague and confusing in Luna's head. She did groan and hit the side of her head with her hand lightly, shaking her head. "R-r-r-right, c-c-cheese is d-d-dairy. I-I-I totally forgot all about that, I-I'm so d-dumb." She timidly raised her hand, signalling to their waitress that they'd like service, before ordering a dessert that Luna only referred to as the usual. Of course, it would take a minute or five to arrive, but hopefully the look on Angel's face would be worth it.
Ava couldn't help but giggle. Of course she couldn't even begin to tease Luna for forgetting cheese was dairy. She'd forgotten things about subjects she'd mentioned thirty seconds ago. She once lost a pen that was already in her hands and only found it when she had to set it down to check in her pencil case. "No worries, Luna," she gave a big goofy grin. "I forget the dumbest things, myself. Like... really embarrassing things if I were the type to get too embarrased~" The girl looked around to see if the order was coming out already, but it probably had to be fresh made. Or at least reheated. Or was it a cold dish? Did it need to thaw first? What was it anyway? She wanted to ask, as the look on her face suggested as she looked around, but a secret was fine too. "So um, we're on a date now then?" she asked to clarify after a moment. Her hyper mood was dulled when she asked such questions. It was too nerve-wracking to also be her strange self at the same time. "Like, a trial one or whatever?" she tilted her head. "Because um, I just want to make sure. I don't mind too much if you want to just wait and we can bond more first either..." Truthfully she was a little worried about just jumping into dating now that she thought about it.
She was glad that mockery for forgetting that cheese was a dairy wasn't something that would be coming her way, though of course she doubted that Angel would ever do something like that. In fact, if she had to guess, she'd have said that Angel probably made quite a few similar mistakes in her life, especially taking the girl's hyper and almost slightly ditzy nature into consideration. Not that she was calling the girl stupid though! She'd never do something so mean to her new friend! She watched the girl look around, before she stopped to ask whether or not they were on a date, which was honestly one of the questions that Luna had been dreading the most. She blushed, looking down at the table and sighing, fiddling with her hands in her lap as she thought to herself, before glancing back at Angel. "I-I-I'd s-s-s-say n-no, a-as much as I wouldn't m-mind being on a d-date with you. I-I-I think i-it'd be best t-t-t-to get to know o-one another better first." God, she hoped that she was making it clear that she wasn't hard friend-zoning the girl, because that was the furthest thing from what she was doing. Luckily, she was saved by the arrival of dessert, which was probably the largest sundae in existence, with chunks of brownie and cookie inside of it, along with chocolate and caramel sauces. "S-s-s-s-so, t-t-this is the s-s-s-sharing sundae." She gestured to the two spoons that'd been provided, picking one of them up. "I-It's c-c-called that for o-obvious reasons..."
