Their combined attack had begun, with Ilya unhesitatingly dashing towards the deer that reacted faster to take it down before it could escape. The two herbivores clearly were confused by being attacked from two opposite sides for a moment, especially since Mizuki waited for a second or two before dashing forward so when they had been trying to run away from Ilya suddenly Mizuki was blocking their path. Now the deer had no choice but to go either left or right, and they had to decide before the two predators got too close for them to get away. The first deer certainly didn't make it in time, as Ilya took it down quickly with a powerful blow to the head which almost certainly cracked the skull, the deer falling down as if a puppet with its strings cut. The other animal had a second or so more to decide, so it was already moving when Mizuki caught up with it. As always Mizuki moved on all fours once speed became important. The Caenis dashed forward much faster as she used all four of her limbs to push herself away from the ground rather than two. Of course her legs were still stronger and did most of the work, but keeping her centre of mass low to the ground and aiding her legs with her arms still did a lot for her ability to manoeuvre and reposition at high speed. Now that the hunt was on she was also baring her fangs, her ears flat against her skull and her tail trailing behind her as she sprinted towards the remaining deer. Given the fact that the deer was already beginning to pick up speed while running away she couldn't afford to slow down for a normal attack,. She'd have to use her momentum in the attack, even if that affected her accuracy Once close enough Mizuki pushed her body even lower to the ground than before, legs tensing for a moment before she essentially launched herself straight towards the deer. The deer could see her coming but couldn't get out of the way in time. While the deer avoided collision with Mizuki's torso the Caenis had been planning for that. Instead the herbivore's front legs suddenly got swept out from underneath it very roughly as Mizuki hit them with a wide swing of her arm. The deer fell to the ground as its front half was no longer supported and Mizuki's forward momentum had also transferred into it partially, in a panic as it was still trying to get away. However Mizuki wasn't done yet. The huntress turned the wide swing of her arm into a full rotation, planting both hands back on the ground once she had passed the now falling deer and spinning herself around so she was facing her prey once more. Her leather-clad toes drew an arc through the grass and dirt, and then Mizuki suddenly used both hands and feet to push herself back into the air, although she put a lot more strength in her legs. The deer was still scrambling to get back up when Mizuki spun through the air once while curled up. She then extended one foot and brought the heel of it down onto the deer's neck, transferring all of her momentum into that attack which promptly broke the poor beast's neck and ended its life not long after. After her attack landed Mizuki extended her other leg to prevent herself falling down onto the ground, the Caenis looking at her successful hunt as she also put the foot she used for the attack back on the ground before turning and looking at Ilya, looking quite pleased with both their results. "That went nearly flawlessly, didn't it?" She took a deep breath and rolled her shoulders. "Having someone capable with you really makes it a lot easier. A lot of people will be able to feast on these two."
