  1. As Joen ventured into the cave, his female companion by his side he tried to peer past the limitations of illumination created by his spell. The sounds of water dripping into a pool could be heard in the distance, amplified by their enclosed surroundings. Several times during their journey Joen almost slipped on the slippery stone floor of the cave before his companion pointed out something shiny in the distance.

Joen turned his eyes to look in the direction that she had pointed to and indeed she had been right, there was something glittering in the distance. As they moved forward towards the object Joen kept his guard up, his spell menu open ready to cast a spell at the slightest seconds notice that there was trouble. Oh and trouble there indeed was, as the pair of new adventurers got closer to the object Joen could make out more of its features and discovered that it wasn't an object, it was a creature, a terrifyingly massive frog to be exact. This thing was the size of nightmares and easily the most massive creature that Joen had ever seen in his life. Joen nodded his head when the Felis female mentioned combining their spells again like they had on the wolf.

However before Joen had a chance to do anything the frog opened its massive mouth and its tongue struck out with the speed of a lightning bolt snatching up one of the three fireballs that were floating near the females head. As the creature did so Joen out of pure instinct dove tot he side to avoid its attack and rolled back onto his feet looking at the female, it didn't appear that she had been harmed at all but instead that the frog was merely trying to feed upon the little ball of light. Upon closer inspection Joen noticed that the female was chanting a spell, what spell however Joen didn't know.

As the last words of the incantation needed for her spell left the females mouth she let out a deafening ear splitting scream that was only made worse by the amplification properties inside of the cave. The sound that the female emitted seemed to only enrage the enormous amphibious creature, Joen was sure that the sonic scream had done some damage to the monster frog but not enough to be noticeable. Narrowing his eyes Joen noticed that the frog was getting ready to launch a counter attack of its own, Joen flicked open his spell menu once again as it had closed when he dodged the frogs tongue.

Flicking over to the Hydromancy section of his spells Joen pressed his finger down onto the Ice Bolt spell, the only offensive spell that he possessed of this category, the games automatic assist system forcing the mystical incantation needed for the spell from his mouth. When the incantation finished the water in the air above Joen began to freeze and condense into the form a spike before it flew off and embedded itself into the right eye of the monster forcing it to let out a roar of pain and hope away from the duo "It seems that did a little bit of damage to it"

  2. Celestine had been dazed a bit by the incredibly loud blast of noise her spell had conjured. The fluffy, triangle, cat ears on her head were pressed firmly to her hair, trying to reduce the incoming noise in what little way they could. Luckily, the racket was over quickly and wasn’t quite loud enough to cause any sort of cave in.

Once she’d regained her composure, Celestine turned to her spell list, flicking through to see what basic spells she had at her disposal. Wind blast, Air siren, Gust leap, “Oo, Lightning bolt,” she finally explained out loud! “I did not know the magics of air included the magics of lightning too!” This changed everything really. She’d taken it for the sake of moving faster, but being able to electrify opponents with lightning was darn useful.

Before she had the chance to select it, the frog looked about ready to deliver its attack but was stopped in its tracks by an incredibly well-aimed ice spike. “Nice shot,” she shouted over at him, throwing her fist in the air in her excitement. Turning back to the frog, which was now hopping mad, she selected this new lightning bolt spell and began the quick chant.

The spell concluded quickly, draining a sizable amount of energy as her right index finger sparked with energy. Unfortunately, it was too late for her to realize that this spell actually had you aim with your fingers. Making a swift motion with her arm, she tried to fix her mistake before it went off, but it was too late and the bolt connected with the ground in front of her, releasing a fountain of sparks.

“Oh...” she deflated, clearly very disappointed in the waste of energy and effort. The massive beast, on the other hand, took advantage of the moment of confusion the cat ear girl had caused to unleash a spray of acid from its stomach. Celestine tensed her legs and straightened them in a quick leap backward, hoping to evade it. Although she lacked any sort of grace in the real world, she felt her virtual body automatically adjusting her movement slightly, allowing her to keep her footing on the slippery ground where she would’ve fallen and knocked her head on the cave wall otherwise.

Hoping Joen had evaded similarly well, she pressed the Lightning Bolt button and aimed her finger at the hideous beast properly this time, unleashing an impressive looking bolt of electricity. It struck the frog squarely in the stomach like a bullseye, arcing electrical current through the rest of it. It seemed to have weakened it a bit, though the frog still looked perfectly healthy enough to keep fighting.

  3. Joen stood there watching the now half blind amphibious creature hop in a rage before it locked its one good eye right on Joen and even in the darkened area Joen could see the hatred in its eyes for him. Chuckling softly Joen was about to attack it again when both his and the frogs attention were turned to his Felis companion, it would seem that she didn't quite understand how one of her spells worked and discharged an arc of lightning straight onto the caves floor. Second time was the charm however as he electricity arced through the air and electrocuting the frog, normally a small amount of electricity like that would do next to nothing to a frog of that size but this time however as the large creature was sitting within a small puddle it doubled the damage dealt to it.

As the amphibious creature turned its attention to the female that had tried to roast it with electricity Joen flicked over to his illusion magic spells and pressed the Invisible Companion spell, the unnatural sensation of the assistance program forcing the magical incantation from his mouth was one that Joen didn't think that he would ever get used to. When his incantation was completely Joen chuckled slightly at the look of confusion upon the frogs face, well what emotions that could be detected upon the frogs face anyway. To the monster frog it would have appeared as if the Felis female simple vanished from view the same with the fireballs floating behind her.

Once the spell had finished taking affect Joen stumbled slightly before dropping down to one knee, the fireballs that were floating behind them flickered slightly causing Joen to look down at his energy bar meter, it had gotten rather low during their fight with the frog without him noticing "Huh, so thats what happens" shaking his head Joen forced himself back onto his feet making sure that he continued to feed mana to the little balls of illumination lest his companion be dropped into the under void of light "We need to end this quickly, I am running out of mana" Joen watched the frog closely but was slightly afraid to cast another spell just in case it emptied his mana reserves.

  6. Celestine turned to Joen in confusion as the completion of his next spell chanting echoed through the immediate cave enclosure. He concluded and Cel felt some sort of buff on her - an illusion from the feel of it - but she couldn’t see its effects herself so it was hard to tell what had actually happened. Only once the frog had started to search for her in confusion, did she finally understand what had been done.

“Ooohhh, this is a spell of great power and uses,” she remarked, praising the impressively useful magic. “Thank you for the assist of me!” Just like before, however, as she was looking over at Joan, her forehead was suddenly knocked back by a wet, sticky object. She froze. “Eeeeeee…” she squeaked for the short moment, plainly disgusted at what was happening. “Oh… I should have been of more quietne— waaah!” She was cut off as the tongue retracted violently, slamming her to the hard, rocky floor and scraping her across the sharp rocks towards the frog.

“Nnggghh,” she groaned, reaching for the spell menu, but her hand was knocked back to her side by a stalagmite with a violent smack. She dug her boots into the ground, fighting as the tongue dragged her closer and closer. Unable to press the menu button, she resorted to trying to speak the spell manually.

“Sensum Tempestus... uhm… Tangee!” Nothing happened. “Oh wait! Sensum Tempestus Tangee: Lightning Touch,” she shouted all at once as her face was brought up right next to the slimy, grotesque form of the frog. Her hands began to glow white as the tongue finally lifted her broken body from the ground and brought her head up to the frog’s mouth. With a swift motion, she grasped its tongue firmly as the spell completed, sending a jolt of electricity straight down its tongue and into the BOTH of them.

They both shook violently as the voltage travelled through their bodies, wrecking havoc and causing them to glow with the occasional spark. A few seconds passed like this, until the charge released and the both of them collapsed to the ground, finding it difficult to move. The frog wasn’t dead, nor was Celestine. They were just paralyzed for the moment, and very weak.

“I am not feeling of the wellness,” she coughed out weakly. In her own mind it wasn’t as bad as it probably looked. Realistic pain - on the other hand - would’ve made her position agonizing, as her body looked torn, scraped, and fried. “I think it will do the healing over time though.” She glanced at the two meters of HP and energy, the second fairing better than the first. “You should do the finishing of the beastie,” she urged, as it stirred from it’s electrified slump.

  9. Joen knelt there with his head lowered trying to restore his energy however it appeared as though as long as his spell that was illuminating the cave for the two of them was in effect that his energy wouldn't restore any. Closing his eyes he sighed slightly before forcing himself to his feet once again and looked over to his companion a weak smile plastered upon his face. Now that he was back upon his feet Joen turned his head and looked at the frog, his mind racing on what to do about killing this creature.

As Joen stood there hoping to get an idea on how to kill this monstrous beast his eyes widened in horror over the face that the frog had still managed to find his companion despite the fact that she was invisible to it now. He could do nothing to save her as the beast thrashed her body, Joen stood there feeling completely useless as his companions hands began to glow and she unleashed a current of electricity that arced through both her body and that of the frog. Growling in anger Joen raised his hands and aimed them at the from "Aran kiranann jistrathar vimi utzilah!", Joen wasn't exactly sure if that was even a real spell or not as it just happened to come into his head.

When the last syllable of the invocation left his lips, Joen watched fire flared to life before turning into a continuous stream that bathed the body of the frog for a few seconds before ended and Joen dropped to his knees sweat rolling down his brow. Joen sat there breathing hard before falling over onto his side and laid there looking at his companion "That sucked"

  10. Cel’s eyes widened as Joen unleashed his impressive stream of hot flames, feeling the warmth from her spot on the ground. It lit up the cavern incredibly bright for the short moment in which the blast of death was fired, and it was probably the most comfortable Celestine had felt since entering the cave. Light and the death of the scary adversary: they both served to give her that sense of security. She let out a sigh of relief. It was nice.

“Yes, that was a great amount of sucking,” she agreed, tilting her head up and down slowly. “But we did a good victory.” She took a moment to lie there next to her first companion and - probably - her first friend in Terrasphere. It was an incredible roll of luck that she’d met someone almost as new as she was to go on a little adventure with and learn the ropes alongside.

“Of all of the peoples I could have done the meetings of for the first dive, it was nice to meet you.” It was a very dramatic line, now that she replayed it back in her mind. The sort of thing you said just before a tearful death. Sadly, she wasn’t dying, and she made it even more obvious by just standing up from her spot - albeit with some sluggishness forced by the simulated pain system. Kinda ruined the drama of the moment, unfortunately.

Celly gazed down at the smoldering husk of the frog in triumph. Truthfully, it looked like Joen had done the bulk of the damage with that massive, final fire burst, but at least she was able to claim support with the paralyzing stun. “I am thinking we need to be doing a rest,” she pondered, glancing over at her pitifully low levels of energy and - more importantly - hitpoints. “Do you remember the direction of leaving?”

  13. Joen laid there upon the damp floor of the cave before rolling onto his back and looking up at the ceiling of the cave for a couple of seconds before closing his eyes, a slight smile upon his face as he did so. "So this is real adventure" chuckling softly. As he laid there Joen reflected back upon the moment he cast his final spell and chuckled once again noticing that the stream of fire had made him feel like a dragon before he shook his head and groaned slightly from the movement, he had spent so much of his energy in the fight with the frog that even the most basic of movement caused him pain despite the fact that his Health Points were still at 100%.

Joen made no attempt to rise from his spot in the slightest, the only movement that he made was to turn his head and look over at his companion and chuckled slightly. Meeting someone that was as new as him to go on his adventures with definitely made the game more fun, tagging along behind someone that was much more advanced than you were always made for a poor experience no matter what the game was. Listening to the females words he chuckled slightly once again before nodding his head "Indeed, that we did". Joen never thought that a frog of all creatures would give the two of them so much trouble but it just went to show that its massive size was not just for show.

Slowly Joen rose from his position and sat up, his head spinning he blinked a few times in an attempt to rid the stars that he was seeing. Tilting his head he took in the sight of the monster frogs smoking carcass and chuckled slightly before looking at the female that he would like to think had become his friend "I bet the legs of that thing could feed us for a week". Slowly Joen made his way onto his feet, once fully erect he swayed slightly and almost looked as if he was about to collapse but somehow he managed to stay upon his feet. From where he stood Joen made his way over to the frog and sat down next to its corpse, leaning forward he took a bite directly from the creatures crisp leg and chuckled as he chewed its meat "Could do with a little seasoning but its not really all that bad"

Turning his head back to the female Joen nodded his head slowly "Yeah, a rest seems like a very good idea to me", Joen turned back to the creatures corpse and tore some more meat from its leg and slowly stumbled his way forward his companion "I believe the way out is this way", with that said Joen took three steps forward before collapsing once again and laid on the stone floor "Well maybe I'll just rest here for the night haha"

  14. Cel watched Joen rise up from his slump, looking a little shaky. He really must’ve burnt himself out from the way he was struggling to stand up straight. She gave him a little glance of concern, which turned to disgust as he suggested eating the frog. “I do not think that this frog would be of the good eati-- eeeehhh!?” She cut herself off with a wide-eyed stare as Joen casually ripped off a piece of the dead carcass and munched on it like it was perfectly normal. Sure it was cooked, sure it was a game, but… eww...

“There is none of the ways that can be of good tasting,” she stated, shaking her head. Joen was majorly quirky, and that was coming from her own mind, so it must be legit. “Not even with any of the seasonings. A thing of that great ugliness can not ever be of good tasting.” She realized the flaw in her argument as soon as she’d said it, thinking of several different foods she like that looked terrible in their raw form. Turkeys, carrots, et cetera. She wasn’t about to admit that mistake though.

“Okay then. We will be doing a rest,” she agreed, starting for the exit. Before they’d really gotten anywhere though, Joen stumbled down, showing his weariness. Celly looked divided. She clearly very much wanted to be leaving the darkness of the cave. The idea of spending an entire night here just didn’t feel like much of an option. At least… not a good one.

“How about this,” she offered, preparing to explain her intended course of action. “Where I am doing the living, it is of lateness. So maybe we will do a logging out and come back at the same time the next day.” Truthfully, she had no idea that sleep in the game could substitute for sleep in reality, but even if she did know, there was no getting to sleep in this cave. No way. “And I also would like to be knowing how the logging out works. So I guess I will be saying goodnight.”

With a wave goodbye, Celestine turned to fiddle with her menu. It was actually a very awkward goodbye since it took her almost a full minute to finally figure out where the logout button even was. Once she finally did find it, she waved another goodbye and hit the button. She was instead met with two different options.

“Oh, it is saying here that I can be doing either the disappearing or the resting. I will be doing a rest then as well,” she spoke, selecting the rest option. Immediately, Celestine’s character fell limp onto the rocky cave ground, completely comatose. It was obvious that, until she planned to log in the next day, nothing would - or could - wake her from her virtual slumber.

  15. Joen continued to lay there on the stony floor of the cave where he had fallen, it was clear to him that he had spent entirely to much of his energy on the fight with the wolf, and then the slime monster only to be followed up with the gigantic frog. If he was going to become the most powerful sorcerer in all of Terrasphere then he would have to learn how to keep a better eye on his energy and do a better job at managing it. Rolling onto his back Joen looked up at the ceiling of the cave and sighed slightly, every muscle within his body ached a sensation that he definitely wouldn't be forgetting anytime soon. Everything that he had experienced in this one day of playing this game would already help him be a better writer than he used to be, he was beginning to understand the drive that his characters would have on their adventures.

Turning his head to look at the Felis female once more when she began talking about logging out and nodded his head slightly "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Goodnight". A small chuckle left his mouth as he laid there and watched her begin to fiddle with her game menu, but to him all it looked like was her moving her finger around in the air, a rather amusing sight actually. Once she said something about a resting mode Joens eyes widened as her body just dropped to the ground causing him to look around and make sure that something hadn't attacked her "Well that doesn't seem like the best idea for a function in a game like this"

Groaning slightly Joen rose to his feet slowly and made his way over to his companions body before reaching down and grabbing her hands "Well I can't just leave you here out in the open to get attacked now can I?". With some effort Joen drug the females body over towards the carcass of the frog in hopes that it would keep any kind of animals away from her before dropping down next to her and leaned against the frog. Flicking open the menu Joen navigated his way over to the log out screen and pressed the logout button before choosing the same resting option that she did.

  16. Roughly twenty hours passed since the two had left their virtual bodies to rest there in the cave. As Celestine went about her day, she couldn’t help but think about what was happening to that virtual body of her’s. It was almost like she’d left a wallet, phone, or something else of similar importance sitting out in the open where anything could happen to it. This probably wasn’t healthy, this minor obsession, but at least she was able to get through the school day without getting totally lost in the world of Terrasphere.

Finally, she made it home and was forced to wait another few hours anxiously. The first time she’d logged on, it had been pretty late. It seemed like most of Terrasphere was American, so that would make it somewhere between morning and midday there. She assumed that was roughly where Joen was as well. Either way, as time progressed, her mind grew more and more anxious about the game, until her alarm went off and she was finally able to throw the helmet on.

“Please don’t be dark, please don’t be dark, please don’t be dark…” she repeated as her mind was whisked back into the virtual world of the game. It was dark. Really dark. Pitch black, in fact. Her breathing grew more panicked as she realized her head was laying on something wet and squishy. Eww eww eww…

She leapt up, standing in the middle of the darkness, unable to make out anything. After a moment, she finally realized - against her panic - how to solve the problem. Pulling up her spell list, she selected ‘Illusory Flame’ from the menu and softly whispered the chant herself (really, it was about time she started to memorize these things manually). Once she’d finished, a little ball of fire appeared on top of her hand. It didn’t hurt, nor did it feel warm, but it did give off a believable light which illuminated the cave around her.

It looked like the same place she’d logged off, and little seemed to have changed. It seemed she was the first to log on, as Joen’s character was right next to her, similarly propped up against— OH GOSH! Cel leapt backward and shuddered as she realized what that squishy, wet feeling was. That was disgusting! Why would he have ever thought that was a good idea to lay her down there?! Blech.

Trying to brush the slime off the back of her head - not to mention the ears and tail that once again felt weird - she turned her attention to the status menu…

  19. Nice! But there was also another problem: it seemed her character was lacking in certain other necessities. Water was by far the most critical, and it wasn’t like she could just turn on a faucet. Maybe if they were lucky, they could find a natural source of water soonish that wasn’t frog infested. They’d go off and search together… two were better than one when it came to fighting off the darkness. Increasing the distance between herself and the frog corpse, Celly laid herself against the cave wall and waited for Joen to arrive… in his body, as weird as that sounded.

  20. Jace had spent a large portion of his day at his computer, his fingers flying over the keys as the words just flew onto the pages. His experiences in Terrasphere as Joen for only but a single day had already given him a much deeper understanding of the characters that he was bringing to life in his book, what drove them to put their lives in danger, the thrill of the adventure at hand and the bond of companionship that was forged through adventuring with another person, Terrasphere had let him understand this all at a much deeper level than he had before.

Looking up at his clock a small smile spread across his face as he saved what he had written for the day, wouldn't want all of that to accidentally be lost now would he? Rising from his computer he made his way into his room before doning the headset and laid back allowing his consciousness to dive into his virtually body inside of Terrasphere. Slowly Joen opened his eyes and blinked a couple of times, he had expected it to be pitch black like it had been when he left but as that was not the case he could only assume that Celestine had gotten here before he had.

Slowly Joen sat up and looked around locating his Felis companion against one of the stony walls of the cave waiting for his arrival. Joen waved his hand at her to let her know that he had logged on before rising to his feet and looking down at his energy bar

  23. With a silent nod of his head Joen looked around the cavern before looking down at his other needs bars and noticed that his noticing that his water meter was low so he opened his spell menu and flicked over to his Hydromancy category and pressed the Water Bubble spell, since he had never used this spell before Joen allowed the games automatic assistance program to take over and the mystical invocation to be forced from his mouth. Once the invocation was finished two large bubbles of water formed in front of Joen, lowering his head he began to drink from one of them before motioning for his companion to do the same from the second "We will need to replenish all of our need meters before we venture deeper into the cave"

  24. Celestine waved with the free hand that wasn’t holding the illusory flame as Joen finally awoke… at least context. In reality, it was more like the exact opposite: falling asleep into a crazy, systematic, connected dream. Cool when you thought about it that way. “Hello again,” she called softly across the cave, her voice echoing through the walls that lacked any sort of padding. “You are of good timing, I just did an arrival only 10 of the minutes ago,” she mentioned, holding up all of her fingers. “At least, I am thinking it was 10 of the minutes ago.”

Gazing wide-eyed, Celestine casually wandered over, closer to Joen as he summoned two, floating bubbles of water right there in midair. She poked it. The bubble jiggled a bit but remained in place. “That is of great coolness,” she remarked, finally shoving her lips inside and sipping it. With each gulp, it shrank and shrank and shrank, until she finally was able to chomp the rest entirely.

“How helpful: well done,” she complimented, as she checked the meter again: 90%. That was way, way, waaaaay better. She felt better too: less dry. It was awesome how the game literally made you feel like you were thirsty, and a little spooky, but for the little spookiness that it brought with it. it was totally worth it. “My meters of health and energies are fine, and now my meter of water is good too. There are also the meters of rest and cold, which are looking of fullness too.” The final one, which was hunger, caught her eye as being a little bit questionable, but it was still well into what she’d call ‘the green zone,’ so there was no need to bring it up.

“I think we are of the readiness,” she claimed, closing the menu and drawing her dark cloak back up over her shoulders. “We were doing the moving in the direction of the frog of great size, yes?” She pointed over Joen’s shoulder at the frog who - by now - had simmered down. Disturbingly, on closer inspection, it looked like Joen hadn’t been the only one to devour a piece of it, as there were plenty of additional missing parts lined with teeth marks. Either way, Celestine was more focused on the path that continued past it.

  27. Joen watched as his companion sipped away at the sphere of water that he had conjured for her to replenish her water meter with and grinned slightly before turning his back upon her and looking at the corpse of the monstrous from that had given them so much trouble the day before. Upon closer examination of the creatures remains he noticed that several other parts of the creature had been made into somethings dinner and several other parts of the monstrosity had been devoured revealing its bones underneath.

Joen listened to his companion before nodding his head slightly looking passed the frog and into the darkness beyond, he couldn't explain it but it felt as if something was watching them. Turning back to his companion Joen chuckled and smiled slightly "Well looks like we are all ready to go. my Energy is back up enough that I should be able to fight again" turning away from the Felis Joen strode off into the darkness. Joen noticed that he was beginning to understand more and more about how the magic in this world worked relying less upon the games automatic system "Kalipar tangus sula akular vinaquirem!", once the invocation was finished a rather large ball of fire flared to life high above them near the roof of the cave.

The orb of fire that Joens spell produced was reminiscent to a miniature sun and cast illumination upon every single crevice within the cave banishing all darkness. Turning back Joen looked at his companion and grinned before winking slightly "Just call me Joen the Nightlight".

  28. Celly stole a glance at her status menu. The mastery points seemed to be slowly growing to a sizeable number, tempting her to spend them to buff something. Ever so tempting. But no: she shook her head, denying herself the buff. There would be a time, but this wasn’t it. She couldn’t. Not until she was fully convinced she was ready.

Instead, Celestine chose to marvel at Joen’s fancy new spell. It reminded her of a massive lamp, or chandelier, that was placed at the top of the large cave opening they were headed into. It was so bright Celly didn’t even consider it a cave journey anymore. At least not in terms of being scared. It was nice. “You are great at being the Joen the nightlight,” she worded, even more awkwardly than usual. “You must be doing a good learning as we go along.”

Glancing ahead into the great opening they were fast approaching, it appeared to be the ruins of a large building. From the walls of the cave, several pathways branched out in at least 12 different directions, which - unlike the naturally rough passageway the two of them were approaching from - appeared systematic and manmade. A few minecarts were abandoned on the tracks, and another toppled over in the corner next to a similarly abandoned pickaxe. It wasn’t too much of a stretch to assume this was once a mining camp of some kind.

Celestine glanced left and right, trying to decide on one of the many directions available. “Do you have a spell of the direction finding,” she asked Joen, still gazing ahead. “All of the pathways are of the same look.” She paused for a moment, thinking about it. “But then, if we are not having of any goals, then all of the paths should be of the same interest?” Unsure, she looked up at Joen for any sort of wisdom on the matter.

  31. Step by step the due made their way deeper and deeper into the cave, the sound of the soles of their shoes scraping against the damp stony floor of the cave were the sounds sounds that could be heard aside from the occasional droplet of water into a pond. The duo had been travelling deeper and deeper underground and Joen was beginning to wonder just how deeply this cave went. With every step that they took the large ball of fire above them kept in pace with them, looking up at it filled Joen with a sense of pride, it was only a Greater Illumination spell but it looked much more powerful than that and made him feel like a truly powerful sorcerer.

After a time the two of them came across what appeared to have been an abandoned mining camp, coming to a halt he looked around at the area taking in the sight of the abandoned mining equipment. However what really caught Joens eye was the fact that there were bloodstains splashing some of the equipment and walls and upon closer inspection there appeared to be random bones laying scattered across the ground. Looking back at his companion Joen shook his head slightly "Sorry, I have an Illusion Magic spell that would let me pick up foot prints pretty easily but since the floor is stone, there are no foot prints"

Turning his attention back to the area around them, he wasn't a great detective but it didn't take a well trained eye to see that something had attacked this camp. Joen pointed the the mining cart and looking at his companion "Do you see that? It looks like something slashed through this cart and over there" Joen then moved his hand away from the cart and pointed it towards the wall "There is an old bloodstain still on the wall, it seems like there was some kind of battle here" turning back to his companion again Joen had a smile spread across his face the excitement raging like a fire in his stomach once again.

Turning back to the many pathways they had to choose from Joen was about to choose one when he heard something on the air, it sounded like the flapping of leathery wings coming from the path on the far right. Turning back to the Felis female once again Joen pointed at that pathway and grinned "I think that is the way that we should go"
