Within seconds of her reciting the correct password, @Indra found herself at the mercy of a powerful suction, pulling her toward the door where she slowly sank into the hard wood, unable to lift a single finger to stop the possibly frightening process...

...The next time she blinked and opened her eyes, the girl found herself standing in front of a half opened window. Turning around, she would be able to see that she was inside a cozy room, not quite like an inn room. Because of all of the personal touches and homey decor, anyone may come to the conclusion that they were in a stranger's room. Looking out of the window, Indra will be able to see that the room was on the second floor, overlooking a dainty street below. Though, the thick fog made the scene rather ominous.

Then, a voice came from the bed on the side of the room, someone was sitting atop of the silky red sheets. Because the bed was a bunk bed, the second level cast a large shadow over the figure, obscuring all details regarding their face and body feature. From the voice alone, Indra would have been able to figure out that an older man was speaking to her.

"Welcome, it seems you have been able to solve the mystery of the Moonlight Note, and rather quickly at that, well done! You possess the kind of skill sets that my employer is looking for.

Oh, excuse me, I have yet to introduce myself introduce myself. I do not have a name, at least not a real one anyways, and I am working for an organization that aims to benefit this country. If you are interested in our offer, I first have a few questions to ask you.

    1. Firstly, how do you view the nation of Astorea and its current king?
    2. Secondly, would you choose blind justice over morality? Why?
    3. Lastly, can you keep a secret? How?
If you are not interested in this bidding, just say the word and you'll be out of this place within seconds."

  2. “...Curious. Could it be that I am wron--!?” A powerful suction took hold of her entire body out of nowhere. Indra attempted to retreat with a somersault backwards, but midway through, the suction became strong enough to bend the laws of physics and ignore her efforts in increasing the distance between herself and the suction spell, or whatever else that occurrence was. Indra eventually could not move anymore, eyes sharpened should anything happen past the odd experience.

For a moment, everything went foggy, and her blinking eyes could tell that the awful experience had ended in a single instant. In a swift motion, Indra turned around and readied two of her kunais on one hand for throwing, while the other wielded another like a knife. She glanced at her immediate surroundings, noticing the room had a fair amount of decor that made it clear she wasn’t in some inn. When she was about to loosen her stance, however, the voice revealed itself, coming from the bunk bed near the corner of the room.

Much to her dismay, she couldn’t really make out anything because the shadows concealed any features the stranger had. The words were delivered by a croaky and hoarse voice, likely from someone old of age. As the man continued on, her stance loosened and she eventually hid her weapons under the thick cloak with washed out black and leather colors. “Sarcastically cordial. Why thank you for your kind words. I used a secret technique where I can phase through wooden doors, which is one of the reasons why I was so fast. I definitely recommend you try it out yourself.”

She could only hope her words were enough to get the point across. After her short and sarcastic rant, Indra remained quiet until the old man(?) was done with talking. “Contemplative. I view Astorea as a country with great potential. In the short amount of time since its foundation, it has already managed to save an entire race and bridge the gap between two of them, to a certain degree.” She paused for a brief moment, turning her gaze to the window. A sigh escaped her lips. Was that an illusion? She could barely see anything because of all the fog around.

“Worried. I also like the people here, despite not being the most talkative person you will ever meet. It is hard to put it into words, but I fought for the people I believe in, back in the war…” Indra returned her gaze to the beds, eyes closed.

“As for the king, all of ‘us’ had a humble beginning at some point, so there isn’t much I need to talk about him. So long he protects the people of his kingdom, my loyalty and my power is guaranteed to be on his side. This stability we have right now — I would gladly fight another war to keep it. If he managed to become a king, I'm sure he can continue to make things work. That is why I lend my power when needed.”

“Contemplative. As for blind justice and morality… Consider the following.” Indra pulled one of her kunais out of the cloak. She then pointed her index finger upwards. “This blade is ‘justice’... And my finger, morality.” She then inserted her index finger in the ring and proceeded to spin the weapon at great speed, clearly showing her ability at handling it.

“Proud. Every time this weapon spins, my morality gives me hundreds of reasons to either enact justice or not. Yet, regardless of morality, if I change the balance just a bit…” A quick motion of her hand would have fooled untrained eyes, as if she had thrown the weapon towards the beds — but in reality, it was tightly gripped by her hand. “Justice strikes true, regardless of the morals behind them. So long my ‘employer’ handles these morals themselves, I will gladly be the blade.” She would then immediately put her weapon away in the cloak.

“Truthful. Secrecy is by what I life for, if this is not obvious enough yet. It is part of my work, and how I make a living. Discretion and silence are tools that I have to make use of every day.” Although none of those words applied exactly for her ‘life’ in Terrasphere, Anna had to deal with negotiations in the shadows once in a while in the real world.

She remained quiet for a few seconds. “Curious. So, what happens now?”

The man chortled amusedly, his dark voice suddenly lifting as he stepped out of the bed. “Excellent answer, you are the choice candidate for our organization as no one else has touched on our creed so expertly before,” he said. In front of Indra, the man appeared shorter than his voice may have led on. Under his black, silken hood, the man sported a handlebar mustache and beard that displayed clear signs of proper maintenance, though the silvery white color provided high contrast with his hooded cloak.

Pulling his hood back, the old man revealed his face, which had no significance to the girl other than the fact that he trusted her enough to speak face to face with her.

“The oath comes next. Different organizations handle their oath differently, for a Vigil Knight, however, we all take on a mark like this…” the old man paused and closed the distance between himself and Indra. After extending his hand, he pulled his sleeve back and revealed the Vigil mark on the underside of his wrist. It was a circle with a V inside.

“This is the last step you have to take in order to be integrated into our secret order. This mark will allow our employer to track us down and terminate our service if we betray the creed. It’s a small price to pay to become an insider, I would think. For now, continue living as you have for the knighting ceremony will come in the following week. And worry not, you will know when it is time. Let us meet again, 007.”
